Webpages do not display correctly, but do when i uninstall certain add-ons

i had the firefox add-ons of shaved beiber and adblocker plus. one day, websites such as blaghag, 100boatsin100days, halolz, and other websites using the design of blog posts or main text with extra links alongside, or websites such as equinox kayaks, with a black background and white text, would not display correctly.
i had to uninstall BOTH addons to make the sites display correctly.

Is this only happening with the HP forum site or with many web-sites ?
Can you try with different browsers - IE, Firefox ?

Design view not displaying correctly, but web does?

I'm working on changing up the menu on a website, and while it displays correctly, the design view is way off. I know I should only worry about my results and my code, but I can't help but wonder where the issue is. Any thoughts?

Try validating the page first at http://validator.w3.org - what do you get?

Page not displayed correctly BUT pressing CTRL+F5 displays correctly can I make a permanent fix ?

I Think all the info you need is contained in my question as the problem is solved by pressing CTRL+F5 but what I want to do is make a permanent fix.
This problem only occurs in FF4, never had it in any previous version of firefox which I have been using for the last 5 years.
Plusnet and E-bay are examples of pages that fail to load correctly.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Also make sure that you allow Firefox in the firewall. You may need to remove all rules for Firefox in the firewall and let the firewall ask again for permission.

Firefox 21.0 android will not display websites but will when highlighted then searched

on my tablet android 4.0.4 when I load a website, the address bar shows the site has finished loading but the site is empty.
if I then touch and highlight the address then push search, the page displays immediately.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

Safari 7 in Mavericks - My webpage does not display correctly.

Wondering if this has been a bug for anyone else. The navigation menu of my website does not stay in its div container. This only occurs in the new safari 7 in Mavericks. This problem can be seen here www.abovethestandardsounds.com . I have looked at my website in other browsers, but the problem is confined to the new safari 7 update. I am wondering if anyone has gone through this problem also and have found a fix?

Looks a bit complicated to me. 
You set the font size of the body to 100% and set the width of the DIV #container to 60em.
So with a default font size of less than 16 set in Firefox/Tools > Options > Content > Advanced > Proportional > Size (pref: font.size.variable.x-western) then the width of the body is not enough and the container doesn't fit and is moved down. So try to set the font-size for the body to 16px to see if that works for you.

In Firefox, the Skins toolbar is not displaying correctly. Is there any way to add padding to fix it

The Skins toolbar looks great in Internet Explorer and Chrome, but Firefox does not have any padding around the toolbar buttons (see picture). Is there a way to add padding?

Your response makes me wonder if you misunderstood me. Especially the bit about "transparent" buttons. Because that's precisely what I was suggesting. Add the "padding" you want, by adding some transparent area at the bottom of the buttons. That way the appearance should be that the buttons have some blank space below where the image ends and the divider.
At least that's what I interpreted you to be wanting.

I have have this horror issue with my PC. I have even changed the hardware configuration and the problem still persists. My PC fails to display the desktop correctly after using highly RAM intensive applications, especially Chrome, but even after getting
the chance to close it, or waiting for it to crash by itself, the PC is still not able to display correctly the GUI, even on other browser/applications as shown in the screenshots.
1st Hardware Config:
Intel Core2Quad Q9450
4x2GB DDR2
MSI P43 motherboard
Ati Radeon x550 video card
Software used, that seemed important for me to mention:
NOD32 v4.2
Comodo Firewall 5.12
Chrome
Screenshot Captor
SpeedFan
Other mentions:
Aero is disabled, because I've considered that it's one of the causes.
So, I've considered that it's a RAM issue or a videocard issue, and I've upgraded to:
Intel Core i7 3770k
4x8GB DDR3
Asus P8Z77V-LX motherboard
Intel GPU integrated in the 3770k CPU
The problem just happened 2 times on this rig also, and the RAM was not even coming close to it's maximum capacity of 31.7GB. It was at ~20GB's.
Also, this is another videocard(Intel's integrated GPU), so we can exclude the videocard from the suspects.
My suspects:
1) some desktop manager bugs, or other similar issue
2) video memory allocation - I'm still suspecting that it can be caused by the amount of RAM dedicated to the videocard, currently, I think that it is at 256MB.
3) some poorly designed components of Chrome/Screenshot Captor - still very questionable since there are enough resources on this system, so there should be no fight over resources. And when the system is barely used there are no issues.
4) Adobe Shockwave Flash - maybe this one????
I have attached a set of 20 screenshots here, these were taken on the 1st configuration of my PC, using Q9450:

Notice how it distorts the image by duplicating it and showing it in a smaller space, or how does it displays those black rectangles. In those moments, the PC is fully functional(the apps are running the background), without being slowish or something, but
you can hardly control it like that. For example, I've tried to remove the mouse from the USB, and then I've insterted it back, the image was not displayed correctly, but the mouse was recognised instantly and the pointer was controlable.
Same thing still happens on the new configuration. Please advise me.
LE: OS is Windows 7 x64 SP1 Professional and it's Geniune. There is no cracked software on this PC. No games. I've tried to maintain it as clean as possible.

First, please be ensured that you have installed the latest drivers and all the updates.
Then check whether this issue will not in
Safe Mode. If it didn’t occurred, I suggest you narrow down the cause in
Clean Boot mode.
In addition, try to create a new profile to see how it works.

My iWeb page is not displaying correctly?

I created a site in iWeb 08 (version 2.0.4. - 830A43), exported to a folder, and then uploaded to the web via ClassicFTP (Mac).
Does not display correctly, but not sure why. temp URL is http://223.130.24.65/~vstacoma/Site/home.html
The font appears black on black (when should appear white and blue text on black b/g as created in iWeb), and some images/logos out of alignment.
I deleted the site in cPanel, cleared cache and uploaded again but no change.
I thought perhaps this is an iWeb code issue?
Would I be better with another web editor to standardise the code?
Any tips really appreciated,

Not all of the files are being uploaded to the server. The CSS file is one of them as well as the Scripts folder. You can see which files are missing by bringing up the Activity window in Safari (Command+Option+A) and check the list of files for the page.
If you're using iWeb to upload the site try using the File ➙ Upload Entire Site menu option to force a complete republication.
If that does'nt work publish your site to a folder on your hard drive and use a 3rd party client like Cyberduck to upload the file. Many have reported success with CD when iWeb has failed.

Hopefully someone can help me. I am currently running Crystal Reports profession version 10. I have applied service pack 1 and recently service pack 6. I am having a problem with the display of a report within adobe. My report is a bit complex. It is a 8.5x11 one page landscape report. It is set up in a grid format with multiple lines and boxes drawn on it. Here is the report information: Report Definition----
Number of Database Fields: 144 Number of On-Demand Formulas: 40 UFLs in use: None Page N of M Used: No File Format Schema: 10.2.0 I created the report using CR developer. I use the report within a web project. The user requests the report and it returns to the user, an adobe file of the report. However, this is where I am having trouble. On my local development machine, the report displays fine. In CR developer, the report displays fine. When I export the report to Adobe from the CR Developer, it exports fine. BUT when I run the report from my web site, the adobe file that is returned is broken up over 42 pages. What seems to be actually happening is the return adobe file seems to think that the page size is 2in X 4in.. Where it got that, I don't know.The server running IIS is a windows server 2003. It has adobe 8.0 reader on it. I also have Crystal 10 Server Distribution loaded on it. And I have loaded CR10 Service pack 6 on that as well. Eurosign not displayed correctly when picked from database

Hi ..
I'm having a problem getting a eurosign stored in an Oracle Database to be displayed correctly in my Crystal Reports 11.5.
When using the built in (preview) Crystal Viewer, the eurosign is displayed correctly, but when I want to print the report directly to a printer or to export it to pdf the eurosign is displayed as a box?
It only haapens when i need to pick the eurosign from the database. If I insert in a textbox on the report, it will show correctly.

What is the source of the text stored in the database. I ran into an issue a ways back where someone was copying news articles from a website into their database and the euro symbol would not display correctly (unless the option HTML Text Interpretation was used).
You might want to do a quick check to see if it is stored as an ascii character using a formula similar to the following;
asc(mid({database, x, 1}))
where x = the position of the euro symbol in the string.
The formula result should be 128.

How to fix the firefox buttons not displaying correctly (i.e. the "save file" button when trying to install an add on)?

For example, the button for "save file" when downloading an add-on does not display correctly. It works nevertheless, but the button itself is not showing up correctly.

It looks that you have made changes to the appearance of button that cause items and text to be larger.
In your case this doesn't seem to work properly with the consequence that the middle part of the button gets distorted.
I'm curious if this artifact would move to the other (Cancel) button or disappear if you would use the Tab key or cursor key to set focus to the Cancel button or if it is a problem with the label text that isn't default (OK or similar).
