WebSAPConsole Issues - Profiles

Hi All,
As per note 802251 & SAP's WebSAPconsole User Guide I have set up the URL for my WebSAPConsole with parameters for auto login: http://<location>?u=USERNAME&c=100&s=PASSWORD&a
This works fine and I can login automatically.
But I am having an issue with my login when I try to include a profile in the URL: http://<location>?p=PROFILE&u=USERNAME&c=100&s=PASSWORD&a
I have setup a default SAPconsole Aministrator profile called PROFILE (as per WebSAPconsole User Guide) and when I include it as a parameter in the URL it does not (1)log me automatically anymore (2) does not allow multiple logins even though this has been configured in the profile.
Am I doing something wrong with my SAPconsole Aministrator profile setup?

PL MAKE SURE YOU ARE PASSING THE PARAMETER VALUES IN THE CORRECT ORDER.THAT WILL SOLVE YOUR ISSUE.YOU HAVE THE CLIENT AFTER THE USER ID.MAKE IT

Otherthan that, Everything looks good.I guess you are not passing on the right profile.But Still if your profile name is wrong you should get the logon Screen with logon field values blanked out and default client 000.
Do you get atleast the logon screen?

For Profile You just make sure you pass the correct profile parameter.For Instance when you open up your SAP Console Administrator, you should see ur Profile in Black Bold on the left side window.make sure the profile name is correct!
You must have seen this below info already.Just make sure you have set it correctly.
SAPConsole has the following command line parameters:
Web Version
Where:
p = profile name
c = client
u = user name
s = password
l = language
a = try to login without confirmation
These parameters are added to URL using "GET" method.
The priority of parameters: p, c, u, s, l, a.

WebSAPConsole - Issue latest patch

After patching SAPLogon at the webserver with the latest patch (of 02/05/2005) a lot of trouble was resolved!
But now we got another 'problem': if people are clicking very fast at a button, sometimes the destination screen is displayed twice or the user is thrown to another menu/transaction!
Has anybody experienced the same problem or other ones after installing that patch?

I am struggling with the setup for the browser-based access through WebSAPConsole as well.
Here are my issues:
1) Function keys don't work via the keyboard of the gun (using the stylus on the touch screen works fine)
2) Auto enter doesn't work
3) User id and password fields on the logon screen are not empty when logging on
I contacted the gun manufacturer about the F-key issue and got a pretty good document with instructions on how to fix the problem. It includes instructions and a few DLLs but somehow it looks like the version it refers to is different to mine (i.e. they suggest some changes to registry entries but those entries don't exist on my machine). We use LXE MX6 guns on Pocket PC 2003 and WebSAPconsole 6.40.
I also opened an OSS message but all I got back was that IE is not working properly so I should use a different browser - which I did (NetFront v3.1) - but still no success.
It sounds like you guys already got much further than we did, so maybe you can share some thoughts and advice?

CS4 10.6 Canon ipf6100 printer issues: profiles, plug-in, driver

The relevant hardware and software are listed above plus the most recent photoshop plug-in from Canon. As of two days ago, all was up to date.
Although some Canon Tech Support reps (but not others) have been surprised by this, I have been getting good prints using the plug-in. I have more trouble printing from anywhere. PS isn't great, Lightroom is incomprehensible. I'd like to hear about others' experiences.
I bought the printer from Lexjet, and frequently, but not always, use Lexjet Paper. Lexjet publishes different ICC profiles for printing through the plug-in, than it does for printing through the driver. As far as I know, no other paper manufacturer does this, and that includes Canon. Does anyone know if the same profile should work the same regardless of driver or plug-in? If not, which profile do most manufacturers furnish?
Since some of the easy layout functions are only available through the regular printer driver, I'd like the option of using both. And I certainly have a number of other papers that I would like to use. Short of tedious testing, or special profiling, has anyone addressed this problem before?

I have found only very slight differences using the same profile printing from the driver as opposed to the 16-bit plugin. Back when we could only print 8-bit files from the driver there could potentially be more of a difference. It seems to be the common thought that if you choose "Fast Graphic Process" in the driver that your using the same process as the plugin, but since I have not tested this and have my doubts.
But, I always create a different profile for the plugin than I do for the driver and also based on the quality settings.
I am running the iPF9000 here.

Digital Signature Filteration based on Profiles

Hi,
Problem : Instead of using theSignature Field and hardcoding the signature issuer profile (eg : cn=TEST), I have a javascript code written in the button which pops-up the digital signature window where all the signatures are displayed in the combo. I need to filter out only those digital signature which belongs to a particular profile.
I have attached the PDF for your reference. Please provide me the javascript code which can filter the signatures based on the profiles. Let me know if you require any more clarification for the same.

Canon 5D Mark II profiling experience?

I've had very good past experience using the DNG Profile Editor to generate profiles for a Canon 1Ds, 20D, and 40D. Now I have a new 5D Mark II, and the first profiling attempts have been poor. The Adobe Standard and Camera Standard profiles for the 5D Mark II seem much better than my custom profiles.
My profiles are making much darker blues, much lighter and desaturated reds, and some strange yellows. I'm plagued by blowing snow and dark gray skies now, so finding good light to shoot the MacBeth color checker is a challenge. Thus my initial attempts have been indoors with incadescents, bounce flash, and studio strobes.
Looking for others with the 5D MarkII who have profiled. What is your experience?

I have not seen any issues profiling the 5D II.
Make sure you are not getting flare or non-uniform color casts while shooting the target.

ISE - Cisco IP Phone profiling

i have issues profiling the Cisco ip phones , it's profiled as "PROFILED" the only probes i enabled on switches and ISE is Radius and now i know the i need to enable CDP device sensor so it can be sent via Radius accounting but i can't find the commend "device-sensor account" on my switch , i use "
Version 15.0(2)SE3" and WS-C2960S-24PS
any ideas ?

So ISE customers will be able to recognize new devices, in addition to a multitude of other network attached devices such as printers, video cameras, and specialized mobile computing devices.

Lost all my passwords in mozilla, is there a way to retrieve them?

While looking in my security window folder of passwords I somehow inadvertent did something to lose all my stored passwords -- is there a way to retrieve them

First of all backup your profile, just in case the information really is in there and in case you make mistakes, at least then things should not get worse than they are already.
Especially if this happened very recently then and it is worth trying using Windows OS and the option to retrieve previous files after right clicking them. The files are in the Firefox profile, and the easiest method of finding that is to navigate to the troubleshooting information page by keying in to the location bar ''about:support'' and using the open folder option on that page. Make sure you close firefox before messing with the profile and it is worth backing up files before and after you attempt to recover them.

The files you need are the pair '''''key3.db ''''' & '''''signons.sqlite''''' copying the recovered files into the profile to overwrite the current file, or just recovering them in their correct location should restore the passwords.
Note there are methods of backing up passwords, and the new sync will also backup passwords, but not at the moment if you use a master password.

Canon 5D Mll Strange event

I was shooting a panorama this morning and the sun was in front of me. I used live view and panned the area of interest and saw no problem with the sun. Set the camera to live view, Manual mode, and a 10 second delay. Shot the first and second picture, on the third picture the camera was lined up with the sun and the problem started. At the end of the 10 second delay, and the photo was taken, the preview showed an extreme over exposure in the center of the picture and the camera continued to take pictures. I could not stop the picture triggering so I turned the camera off and when turned back on it seemed normal. I was using a Sigma 50mm 2.8 Macro lens. I put on my 24-105 and took several pictures at other angles away from the sun and the camera seems to be OK.
I am just interested to see if others have had something like this happen?

Automatic app updates?

i have automatic downloads for apps enabled on both itunes on my computer and in the store settings on my phone. i see that when i download a new app on my phone, it automatically downloads to itunes and vice versa. is it possible to get this to work for updates for existing apps as well? when i update an app on my computer or on my phone it doesn't look like it automatically downloads to the other device. i restored my iphone recently and i thought this was possible before, but i could easily just be making up things in my head.

It's only automatic app download (new purchases) - provided the app is 20MB at most while on 3G, no cap while on Wi-Fi including hopping on to other iPhone's personal hotspot.
Automatic app update isn't necessarily good,
There are instances where updated versions crash, have removed functionality, worse off, bug issues etc, compatibility issues, profile data loss etc - this is on the bad side, it does happen ocassionally where things go the opposite direction of what the release notes say.
For free apps, you don't know if sometimes the developer feel that giving apps free is really too good a deal and start adding ads etc..
Its better to read the update release notes and probably the reviews on the current version as well,
if you see a noticably large bunch of bad review like "after a game app updates, my character gets reset!!!@@" - don't update it until the developers rectify the issue.
"nooooo my news app doesn't fetch news anymore!!! *1star*" (99/100 people found this review helpful) - Like the above, don't get it.
There are issues which may not crop up during tests ran by the developers, they're just a couple of people while the consumers are a larger bunch of "testers"
However to note, if you were to see people specifically mentioning
"the update/app crashes only when I'm on an iPod Touch or iPad1!@!@!@" - especially games
And no issues with iPhone 4/4S iPad2 etc, chances are you're safe. That's because iPod touch has an underclocked processor and scaled down specs, like the iPad which may be the cause of the issues.

This is an unsolicitaed comment about MacVideo Magazine. I fluctuate between being intimidated by the vast amount of knowledge that some people have on this forum and feeling elated when I know an answer to one of the questions. I am not a techie. I like to shoot and edit good quality video. Like many of you, I have been considering upgrading to HD and like many of you, I have been confused by all the technical details.
Well, for anyone who is in the better-than-prosumer-but-less-than-ubber-techie category, I just got my copy of MacVideo magazine and it is excellent. The second issue profiles all the under $10,000 HD cameras I have been researching. It is full of straight forward info.
So this is an FYI post.

How one can know that a pdf file is in ISO 32000-1:2008(PDF 1.7) standard format?
Breif Introdution abt ISO 32000-1:2008(PDF 1.7)
ISO is named as "International Organization Standardization" who look after the standardization of diffrent format gobally. Now that had mention ISO 32000-1:2008 standard for PDF. So how we ensure that a pdf is of this standard.
Do acrobat had any option to look the ISO standard of a pdf file or else way to view it.

ISO 32000-1 is nothing to do with PDF/A - it is the core standard for the PDF/1.7 document format. PDF/A is covered by ISO 19005-1.
Preflight can run a number of checks but there is no easy way to verify compliance with PDF/1.7 as a whole. You can try the "Report PDF Syntax Issues" profile in Preflight but that does not guarantee to detect non-compliance, only the most common things which will break the document.
Creating your PDF files using a standards-compliant application such as Adobe Acrobat is by far the best option - I never recommend refrying a PDF unless there is a specific necessity to do so and the file is only destined for hardcopy print, as it will break pretty much everything (accessibility tags, scripts, forms, links, media, layers, color spaces, certificates, etc.).
Because it's not easy to verify, and Acrobat always produces standards-compliant files, many commercial printers and publishers insist on "Adobe PDFs" rather than generic ones, and will reject files that have been created with third-party software.

Can I paste a sessionstore.js from Firefox 27.0.1 (XP) into Firefox 28 (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS?

I saved my wife's tabs from Firefox 27.0.1 (XP) and installed Ubuntu 12.04 and Firefox 28. Now my life depends on my being able to restore her tabs. I am new to Ubuntu and I can't seem to find where sessionstore.js is located. I turned on hidden files, to no avail. I seem to be missing something.

Note Firefox's ''sessiorestore'' sytem tends to be slightly fragile. Try not to over rely on it. At least ensure any important open pages are bookmarked.

Firefox sync may also scramble bookmarks so make sure you not only bookmark but also make manually backup your bookmarks.

As for the lifesaver, the easiest method is to open the profile from the option in the troubleshooting information page of a running Firefox. Then close Firefox and find the files to copy.

Note that Windows does not always display the .js extension filenames you may need to check the Windows options are set to display filename dot extensions.

Local policies in WLC 7.5.x code

Hi Experts,
We have created a local policy to block andriod devices in our network. Wheras our windows 7 and 8 clients are also matching the profile under android and it is getting blocked.
Is WLC not doing the profiling properly or any bugs?

First off, v7.5 is deferred and you should move up to v7.6.130.0. I have no issues profiling devices on v7.6.130.0 and or v8.0.x, but wouldn't go with v8.0.x as of right now. I have used local policies to place Windows 7 & 8 on a certain vlan and place devices like Android, iPhone, etc on a bogus vlan for a given WLAN. Profiling isn't as feature rich as what you will get in ISE, but use it if it can work for you now. With new devices coming our, profiling might not work so well unless you upgrade the WLC code and upload newer list for the manufacture oui or uploading the profiling_policies.xml from ISE,which you only can get from someone who deos have ISE up and can export the list.

I am having a serious issue with all my apps disappearing/not working- user profiles

i will list the things i have done in the past 24 hours, hopefully one of you knows what happened...thank you in advance
first off, my situation- was that i bought a macbook pro(about a year ago) with lion or snow leopord it is software 10.7.5 i dont know what the guy did but when he sent me the computer the username was off and so was the home folder, i changed the username with ease but the home folder stayed tbd and i couldnt figure out how to change it. well it finally got on my nerves enough from looking at it that i wanted to change it today that put me into the situation i am in. Here is what i have changed:
-I added a second profile as to see if i could change the home emblem file named tbd to what i wanted. This worked or so i thought.
- then shared and permissions showed tbd(me) so i wanted to change that also so i went into systempreferences>users and groups>login options>network account server and clicked join/open directory utility. this is where i believe i went wrong i read in a forum that this is what you needed to change to make it look how i wanted it to. under active directory it still had this guys name gtmb04_evan so i changed it to my name like the forum said, well his name is back up even though i changed it. and this is when everything stopped working.
symptoms: all my applications act like they are newly downloaded and make me set them up.
- my home screen is nothing like it was before, no apps are on the desktop and the bar along the bottom only has the basic ones
- i tried to take the second username off of administrater which made me restart my cp(all my stuff looked normal until this, but didnt work)
-my launchpad wasnt showing any apps they simply looked blank
- my firefox along with many other apps wouldnt even start prior to reseting and gave me a message with something like couldnt find or access user profile( i forget the entire message)
please please help me, i hate this right now and have no idea what to do, all my files are still under my name, that when i thought i changed tbd- it apparently just made a new folder under users which didnt show up until the restart, i do not have a time machine set up on this computer because i hated the lion setup and couldn't get it to operate correctly

i had one mac and spilt water on it, the motherboard fried so i had to buy a used one...being in school and all. it is a MC375lla

i do not have a backup of it, so i am thinking about replacing my old hard drive from the water damaged into this one, not even sure if that would work, but it did not seem to be damaged, as i recovered all the files i wanted off of it to put onto this mbp
the previous owner didnt have it set to boot, they had all their settings left on it and tried to edit all the names on it, had a bunch of server info and printers etc crap on it. i do not believe he edited the terminal system though--he doesnt seem to terribly bright(if thats possible)
tbh i hate lion compared to the old one i had, this one has so many more issues-overheating,fan noise, cd dvd noise

[problem is i do not want to start from scratch if there is a chance of fixing it, this one did not come with disks or anything like my first. so i dont even know if i could, and how it sets now i am basically starting from scratch, because now all my apps are reset but working, i am hoping to get my data back somehow though, i lost all of my bookmarks and editing all my apps and setting again would be a pain

VPP Distribution issues with OSX Server Profile Manager

Hi, I have a new issue with my OSX 10.9.5 Server. I use VPP to distribute apps to users devices, when I would add a new user I would send them an invitation message through /profilemanager . All was working well until recenetly , the message still arrives in the users mailbox however when you click the "sign in" link on the "receive apps and books from xxxxx" email instead of opening through the Mac App store app it now opens Safari and connects to the profile manager server , any ideas ? it never has done this before and although I thought it was a new feature or method I can not seem to resolve the issue.

Hi if when you are redirected back to your Mac Server you enter the user name and password of the user you are trying to receive VPP apps for i.e the Open Directory credentials it will then open the App Store providing the credentials are correctly entered so it looks like an additional layer of security. The process is click on the link in the VPP invite email, this takes you to your Mac Server profile manager, log on with your OD account, App store then opens on your Mac like it used to.
