hi,
I would like to connect a reader codes bar (MC9000G,win CE) has SAP.
The reader is connect to my computer(os:Win2000) with the software 'ActiveSync' (indicated by the manufacturer).
My first idea was to use WebSAPConsole,for that i use WebSAPConsole Intallation Guide(for SAP GUI
Version 6.40).
I don't want telnet connection but web connection, i have my computer connected to the network(i can go to the network also with the reader ), and i have installing SAP J2EE engine on my computer which is connected to SAP.
After starting SAP J2EE 6.20 Dispatcher & server the default page appear (via URL http://localhost)
With Deploy Tool i have create a new project , Add Archive (WebConsole.war), create and load a EAR( i try different EAR files (ME 2.1 SP03 Webconsole patch 06,ME 2.1 SP03 wwebconsole..) the deploying already successful but WebSAPConsole never start...
i have try different URL:
http://localhost/webconsole/run
http://localhost/me/webconsole/login
http://localhost:port/me/webconsole/login.....
I m student and new in this field, i would like know if
i'm on the good road and how i can solve my probleme ?
I have searched to solve my problem in SAP MI 2.5 guide but all my seach make me very confused...

I think i should can launch WSAPconsole on my computer
via url http://localhost/webconsole/run with cut server ISS. it's right ??
But the WebSAPconsole don't start...
When i have configured SAP j2EE i have used different EAR files (ME 2.1 SP03 WebConsole patch 06, ME 2.1 SP03 Webconsole) because i could not deploy EAR with my create EAR file (as indicated in Doc.)..
which EAR file I have need for used ???
and i have need to use meSync.ear ? (i think that not)

Hii all,
I have created one application which is on R/3 side . I have assigned t-code of this application to sapconsole administrator in control panel. then i have create virtual directory name ( mysap , it could be any name ) . Now when i will browse this URL first page will be for sap log in id and password. since this application is being used in warehouse , so from the shopflor person we can not expect to type user id and password each and every time in RF scanner . so is there any way to make the user id and pass word default ? .
This is urgent . Please reply soon.

If you do not want to hardcode the ID/password on the URL, then your other option is to use SNC. Setup SNC on the SAPlogon entry for this R/3 system on the SAPConsole server. When you bring up the WebSAPConsole URL for this profile (you call it virtual directory name, SAPConsole guide calls it profile), it will go directly to the transaction and not display the logon page. This has been tested successfully with WebSAPConsole deployed on SAP J2EE so if you plan to use this SNC method, use SAP J2EE and not IIS as the web server.

Key mapping on Symbol MC 9000 with Websapconsole

I am trying to map hardver key on mobile device MC 9000 which should work as a function keys as on the desktop. I am using websapconsole 7.1 and as a browser I use pocket internet explorer.
In websapconsole administrator I checked field "Function key mapping" but it doesn't work.
I read that should by use CTRL + key but it doesnt work. I also try software Naurtech but with the same result.
Could anyone give me some suggestion how to map hardver(buttons on device) keys to function keys?

I've never had to "register" ViaVoice after updating the system. I thus suspect you haven't fully followed my above, three-step advice (particularly step 3).
1) Reinstall ViaVoice from CD.
2) Update to the latest version (using the patch downloadable from Nuance's website).
3) Replace the “temp” and “users” folders (in the "ViaVoice" folder at the upper level of your home directory) by a previous copy thereof. When I say previous copy, I mean a copy from when ViaVoice was still working properly, e.g. a copy from when it was running under Tiger.
As I said, I've gotten ViaVoice to survive several system updates by following the above steps. To my knowledge, the last step is critical since it saves you from having to reconfigure ViaVoice under the new operating system (in this case Leopard). I suspect that ViaVoice is crashing on your system because it's trying to start some module of the SetUpAssistant that is incompatible with Leopard (as many are). If you instead use old copies of the "temp" and "users" folders (from the previous system), then ViaVoice doesn't have to go through the initial "registration" process; ViaVoice doesn't need the SetUpAssistant; and all is (more or less) fine.

BTW, to my knowledge, Dictate only runs on Intel Macs. It thus won't run on a G4 iBook, just as it won't run on my PowerBook G4.

Unable to Update Through WebSapConsol

Hi Everybody,
   I am working in RFID Barcode Reader .I have develop a ZTransaction through which i have to provide a screen to user for scan barcode after pressing save button i have to post all batches through TCode VL01N .
         Everything is working and it is not giving any error message but when I am checking it whether it is updated or not in SAP R3 end it will not updated . I have use a call transaction Bdc for update the Tcode VL01N.
When same module pool i am running from SAP R3 end it is doing all expected updates but when I am running it through web it is not updating.
Please help me any body to me for further proceed and please tell me if something i am missing or doing wrong.

I have solve it by the following way.
1. Run the Bdc in error display mode.
2. after calling CALL TRANSACTION use a COMMIT WORK
     Another problem was arises after getting up my previous problm, is that if line Item of Batch no become more than three it is giving eror that feild <Stucture>-LFIMG(03) is not present in the scren.To rectify this Prolem i Have change the configuration of WebSAPConsol .It was ue to checked in Trancate Unused Lines,Just I have unchecked that & finally it is working fine.

How to get rid of OKCODE Box on WebSAPConsole

The RF devices we are using are SYMBOL MC9090. We are running WebSAPConsole and there are two problems that are killing us right now:
1- We can't seem to program the ENTER key (to affect navigation) into the RF devices. We want the bar code scan to have a suffix with an ENTER key to navigate to the next field. This doesn't appear to be working. Anyone have this working that can tell us how they did it?
2- We want to get rid of the OKCODE box which is now displayed at the bottom of all our screens. I noticed that others have examples of their screens without this box displayed so I assume it can be turned off....
I realize I may have used the wrong terms and these problems may have already been addressed. Anyone that can point me in the right direction?

We need to get rid of the OKCODE Box on the bottom of the screens. My programs are standard SAP screens and I have tried modal dialog screens with the STARTING AT and ENDING AT commands. All behave the same way.
I have no OKCODE on these screens and none is present when we run in the standard GUI. However, the OKCODE is present when we run on the handhelds.
The handhelds are MC9090 (Symbol) running Windows Mobile, we are running WebSAPConsole and we just want to get rid of the OKCODE Box on the bottom of the screens.
The SAP standard RF transactions behave the same way as the custom transactions. Can we just get rid of the OKCODE box on the bottom of the screens?

WebSAPConsole - sending a beep to a hand-held device!

Hi All,
I am having trouble sending a sound to a hand-held device using WebSAPconsole. I have set up all of the configuration correctly (incl. ref to Rich Heilman's blog) and when I use the transaction in IE on my PC the sound (the default alert.wav file) plays fine.
The transaction is a standard ABAP dialog transaction which is accessed through IE via WebSAPConsole on the hand-held device. The device we are using is a Teklogix 7535 running WinCE.
The problem is that the hand-held device will not play wav files! It can play standard system level sounds but not wav files. So my problem is that SAPWebConsole wants to play a wav file when I send a sound.
Any ideas? Am really here...

WebSAPConsole - Issue latest patch

After patching SAPLogon at the webserver with the latest patch (of 02/05/2005) a lot of trouble was resolved!
But now we got another 'problem': if people are clicking very fast at a button, sometimes the destination screen is displayed twice or the user is thrown to another menu/transaction!
Has anybody experienced the same problem or other ones after installing that patch?

I am struggling with the setup for the browser-based access through WebSAPConsole as well.
Here are my issues:
1) Function keys don't work via the keyboard of the gun (using the stylus on the touch screen works fine)
2) Auto enter doesn't work
3) User id and password fields on the logon screen are not empty when logging on
I contacted the gun manufacturer about the F-key issue and got a pretty good document with instructions on how to fix the problem. It includes instructions and a few DLLs but somehow it looks like the version it refers to is different to mine (i.e. they suggest some changes to registry entries but those entries don't exist on my machine). We use LXE MX6 guns on Pocket PC 2003 and WebSAPconsole 6.40.
I also opened an OSS message but all I got back was that IE is not working properly so I should use a different browser - which I did (NetFront v3.1) - but still no success.
It sounds like you guys already got much further than we did, so maybe you can share some thoughts and advice?

WebSAPConsole Run for RF Terminals

We have installed the webSAPConsole frontend.
We tried to click the below link :

We are getting the below error
"Dispatcher running, but no server connected!"
I have 3 questions.
1) Please let us know what is wrong.
2) Also let us know what will be the expected output if the above link is successful.
3) We are going to use browser based RF Terminals as well as character based RF Terminals in the warehouse. Will the webSAPConsole work for both types of RF Terminals when we use the webSAPConsole.

WebSAPConsole with Intermec IBrowse, or other browsers?

I am using Intermec IBrowse on Intermec 751 - Pockct PC 2003 SE with WebSAPConsole. WebSAPConsole is installed on win2003 with IIS.
1. Does anyone able to do the onKey mapping?
The IBrowse instructions stated:

How to add the above meta header to the WebSAPConsole generated webpages?
I tried setting IIS Headers in IIS admin, but IBrowse fail to work.
2. the WebSAPConsole generated webpages use the onkeypress event which do not work in Pocket IE and IBrowse. Is there other browsers i can installed, to detect the onKeypress event?

Sapconsole websapconsole

Hello.
We use websapconsole as part of sapgui 6.40 for the connection via WLAN-barcodereaders to SAP.
The connection to the sap-system, the login and the call of the rf-transaction are working fine.
But as the rf-transaction is confirmed, which calls the sap-function "L_TO_CREATE_TR", the message "tranferorder is created" is send from sap via webconsole to the mobile frontend. i could't suppress this message. The effect is, that the terminalscreen is overwritten by this message and the screen partitionally destroyed.
The activation of the Sap-Console Admin entry "skip message confirmation" has no positiv impact in this case.
(with using sapconsole this flag suppresses the message !!!!!!)

The message won't be shown again and you can handle the message on your own, if you need it.

Are WebSAPConsole and Web Console are two different offerings from SAP ?

We have been using SAP Console based on Telnet to provide RF functionality and I know that SAP is now delivering WebSAPConsole which is an enhanced SAPConsole
to support web-equipped devices.
With Mobile Infrasturture, SAP is delivering WebConsole with 6.40 WAS standard and If I understand correctly, role of this webconsole is to help deploy ME clients on the handhelds...etc.
Please comment and correct me if I am wrong ?

Recomended RF Devices for WebSAPConsole (telnet and http modes)

I'm about to start implementing RF transactions for a client.
We're using WebSAPConsole with SAPGui 6.4 and SAP ECC 6.0 based on NW2004S.
I'm looking for a list of make, model and specifications for RF devices that haven been proven to work well with SAPConsole using TelNet server (character mode) or MS IIS server (Gui interface).
I know that Symbol , Inetrmec and TekLogix have such RF devices.
But, I want to learn from your experience based on what you have actually used during implementation.
Could someone provide me this info?

Hi, we've been using the character based Intermec Antares T2425 handheld units for the passed 5 years or so. They work quite well, and hold up to a lot of abuse.

WebSAPConsole , telnet serever ,RF terminal and SAP logon screen

What would be the easiest way to connect RF terminal(character based) to an SAP system.
Of course it is via WebSAPconsole. As far as I red WebSAPconsole guide if I want to use it to connect character based RF terminal is the same as preaviously SAPconsole(under e.g.SAP enterprise 4.7 ext2.)
1.st install telnet server (best SLnet 2.6RF from Seattle LABS) and then configure In SAP console administrator in Control panel entered corresponding system ip,sysnr and transaction code(from saplogon)
However on RF terminal SAP logon screen does not appear. But only telnet prompt.
What to do? Should the telnet server and SAP console be on an other machine than SAP server(ECC6)?

I´m facing with same error then you. I did a homogenous system copy and after I finish this SAPINST I install the saplogon and of course I try to accede to SAP system and the first thing that display in system is that short dump --> dynpro_itab_error
What´s this?! How you solve this issue... can you remmember? (I know that already was a two years ago but even so if you remember this can you share with me!?).

WebSAPConsole Issues - Profiles

As per note 802251 & SAP's WebSAPconsole User Guide I have set up the URL for my WebSAPConsole with parameters for auto login: http://<location>?u=USERNAME&c=100&s=PASSWORD&a
This works fine and I can login automatically.
But I am having an issue with my login when I try to include a profile in the URL: http://<location>?p=PROFILE&u=USERNAME&c=100&s=PASSWORD&a
I have setup a default SAPconsole Aministrator profile called PROFILE (as per WebSAPconsole User Guide) and when I include it as a parameter in the URL it does not (1)log me automatically anymore (2) does not allow multiple logins even though this has been configured in the profile.
Am I doing something wrong with my SAPconsole Aministrator profile setup?

Otherthan that, Everything looks good.I guess you are not passing on the right profile.But Still if your profile name is wrong you should get the logon Screen with logon field values blanked out and default client 000.
Do you get atleast the logon screen?

For Profile You just make sure you pass the correct profile parameter.For Instance when you open up your SAP Console Administrator, you should see ur Profile in Black Bold on the left side window.make sure the profile name is correct!
You must have seen this below info already.Just make sure you have set it correctly.
SAPConsole has the following command line parameters:

Where:
p = profile name
c = client
u = user name
s = password
l = language
a = try to login without confirmation
These parameters are added to URL using "GET" method.
The priority of parameters: p, c, u, s, l, a.

WebSAPconsole - Sizing?

Hello world,
Has anybody got any pointers with regards to the sizing of a WebSAPConsole system?
I know that nominally it should only have a small footprint in both memory and CPU, and I am aware of the SAP note out re 2003 and performance issues there.
But I do not seem to find any hard data on CPU/memory requirements.
If you have any pointers or any practical experience, I would greatly appreciate a quick reply with configuration and # of users etc.
