I"ve ran into this a few times, check your webserver / appserver's server.xml, apparently its forgets to add a path to many of the wireless jar files.
You should have these jars on your system, if not install SUNWma and SUNWmae.
    #ls /opt/SUNWma/lib
    ccpp-1_0.jar rdffilter.jar
    ccpp-ri-1_0.jar wireless_rendering.jar
    jena-1.4.0.jar wireless_rendering_util.jar
    mobile_services.jar
Correct these entries in your server.xml and restart your container.

Just did a downgrade and it's working again, here are my versions.

    linux-headers 3.9.9-1
    nvidia 319.32-2
    nvidia-utils 319.32-1
    bbswitch 0.7-4
If you have conflicts, I found it easiest to remove those (bbswitch, virtualbox in my case), downgrade linux and then install the appropriate  bbs/vb packages

  • [SOLVED] - X won't start - Missing modules??

    Hello all, thanks for looking.
I have installed from the Arch from the latest media, and followed the Begginers Guide.
I have installed to a partition on my hard disk, one of many, and installed Grub and the mbr.
The system boots fine. ALSA works, Xorg is installed, and pacman -Syu says "nothing to do"
It all seems fine except... X won't start.
I type startx and get the following errors in the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file :

It appears that some modules are missing, and indeed none of those mentioned in the errors are there if I do lsmod.
But that is about the limit of my understanding.
Can anyone tell me how to add the modules if they aren't even on the machine at all.
Pacman doesn't find them. For example pacman -S glx gives package not found.
Any ideas or pointers much appreciated.

    I Can't Believe It
    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I swear I checked that 6 hours ago when I first tried startx.
    OH
    MY
    GOD
Just give me a moment to calm down..........
OK. Thank you. You are completely and joyously right.
It would seem that I had neglected to install the video driver.
    Thanks for that.

  • Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"

I'm in the process of getting OpenBox up and running on my new Arch system. I installed obmenu to edit the menus, but when I try to run it from the terminal I get
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
and it won't start. I get the same message when I run gedit from the terminal, but gedit actually loads. How can I resolve this?

    bohoomil wrote:
Obmenu itself doesn't depend on libcanberra. It's most likely required by another Gtk application. The module should be loaded with your WM. If it's not, add the following at the beginning of your .xinitrc (assuming you start X session with startx), and check again.
    if [ -d /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d ]; then
    for f in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/* ; do
    [ -x "$f" ] && . "$f"
    done
    unset f

I suggested you look at other similar posts because the reason you get the error may be various things indeed...
Yep, that's already a part of my .xinitrc.
azleifel, what should I set the GTK_Modules path to?

  • [SOLVED]Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"

    Hi,
    I'm getting this message
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
keepassx: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/libindustrial.so: undefined symbol: gtk_check_version
    for various gtk-based applications.
I've read that is fixed, https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/23655.
Using Arch 64 bit, XFCE here.
    Any clue?

Changing gtk theme do the trick. I get the message, but applications start ok.

  • VMPlayer 3.1.5: Failed to compile module vmmon

    Hi,
yesterday I updated VMPlayer but after that it doesn't work. When I try to start the program it advice me that 'Before you can run VMware, several modules must be compiled and loaded into the running kernel'. I select the 'Install' button but the procedure fails immediately during the compiling of the 'Virtual Machine Monitor'.
The problem seems to be the vmmon module.

  • BIOS Update fail on T530 - Fail to do module option

I tried to update my BIOS on my T530 today.  Tried both 2.07 and 2.50 (I'm running 2.04).  I'm using the Windows app, not the BIOS CD.  With both 2.07 and 2.50, I get the following error message: "Fail to do module option. The utility process has not completed."  Can anyone help?
I saw one thread that indicated this may be because I chose the option to keep my custom start up image when presented with the option, but I was afraid to choose anything else.
FYI, now the Lenovo update utility doesn't even tell me there's a BIOS update available...it's listed in my installation history as a successful update!
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Not problem, there is a key combo with the Shift or Cntrl key or something like that and doing the shutdown which unloads all rendering the Wiindows 8 system in true (Win7 equivalent) OFF. Just google Window 8 shutdown or hibernate. There is a lot on it out there. There is a way to change the OS to shut down that way by default but takes longer to boot each time. It is safer in my opinion since malware is not left loaded and running each time.

  • Pulseaudio: Failed to open module module-zeroconf-discover.so

In the process of  setting sound on lxc (achlinux) guest I am trying to use access to a networked pulseaudio server
    I placed in /etc/pulse/default.pa:
    load-module module-zeroconf-discover
Then when restarting pulseaudio I get the following message in journalctl:
May 24 13:43:15 arch pulseaudio[4232]: Failed to open module module-zeroconf-discover.so: module-zeroconf-discover.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

May 24 13:43:15 arch pulseaudio[4232]: Module load failed.
May 24 13:43:15 arch pulseaudio[4232]: Failed to initialize daemon.
The avahi module is installed. Is there another package that I need to install or is it a setup issue.

    Thanks. It solved this problem.
I still cannot get sound to work in lxc guest. I can only get sound through the dummy card, but not in the host. Is it possible that lxc cannot work with avahi/zerconf.

Yes, the readme lists oracle9i client is necessary as a minimum... It is used to communicate with the database (although I think it is best to have the DB on the same machine as the MMS Plugin).
9i client is included if your DB is installed on the windowa machine.

  • Failed to load module "record"

I'm trying to install Arch Linux on my Dell GX270 with an Intel chipset I'm nusing the i686 version rather than the xf86_64 version. It has a 2.26 Ghz processor and 512mb RAM
I've tried installing xorg and configured it with hwd -xa and such but when I do startx I get:

    lspci | grep VGA gives:

Some other people seem to have had a similar problem but it was a problem with Nvidia chipsets and I have an Intel one. I tried commenting out the line of xorg.conf where it says to load module record as I've already had to comment the type1 one out but then it just says (EE) No devices detected.
    Can anyone help?

It doesn't work from root either and gives the same error.
I tried blacklisting it but it didn't seem to have any effect, and I don't really understand why it would. The problem is that it doesn't seem to exist.
What does the module do anyway? I've never heard of it before and it just doesn't sound critical somehow. Googling it just returns this thread. Is it possible that the record module is just a minor thing like the type1 module which I had to comment out and the actual problem goes deeper?
