Webservice call from Interactive Adobe form

Hi,
Please provide me the possible solution for the below mentioned issue.
1. Created a webdynpro application.
2. Kept the interactive form on the VIEW of this WDA. Adobe form has 10 fields and one submit button.
3. Now created a web service with only one importing parameter of type XSTRING.
4. I have given the webservice URL in the button properties by making it's type as "Execute"
Now my question is "How can we get all the filled values on the interactive form in the RFC of Webservice when i click on the submit button?".
Note: I should not add any other importing fields in the web service except the PDF string.

Please provide me the solution for the below mentioned issue.
I have attached the webservice wsdl file to the SUBMIT button on my form (execute type) and binded all my form fields to the webservice importing structure fields..
Now the webservice got changed because of the addition of new fields in the common structure.
And iam uploading the new wsdl file in my existing data connection properties.
But it is giving an error saying as follows.

Login details when Webservice is called from Interactive Adobe form

Hello Experts,
Can you please suggest me the procedure to overcome the below issue.
I am calling the Webservice from my interactive adobe form.
When ever i click on the Submit button on my form, it is triggering the webservice but asking for the login details for authentication in the popup.
In the real time scenario i will not be having any user id and passwords. So, I don't want this popup.
What do i need to follow to get this done.

NewLine Character in the String received from Interactive Adobe Form

Hello Experts,
Following is the issue we have with interactive Adobe Form
We have a text area within the form. User enters the text in multiple lines in this text area.
We are calling a backend function module designed in SE37 that accepts and process the data from the adobe form. We are also processing the string data user enters in the text area.
When we receive the string from the form, the newline character within the string is displayed as '#' in the debugger. We tried splitting this string using cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline and cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf but NO luck. Though in the debugger we see cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline as '#' in the debugger and also '#' is present within the string, for some reason when string is processed to find cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline, we can find/locate it.
Because ABAP code is not able to identify the newline character within the string received from Adobe form, we are not able to maintain the formatting of the string as it was entered in the form.
Any help to resolve this issue is appreciated.

Hi Bhushan,
I was going through your issue, and I feel this is something you can do with scripting. Basically you should read whole string and find the new line character and replace with a space or comma, as per your requirment.
Do like following:
In the exit event of the field select java script and write following code:
var strng = this.rawValue;
strng.replace(/\n/g, " ");
above im reaplcing new line with a space.
I think it should work I have not tested it. Pls update if you test it .

WebDynpro Popup from Interactive Adobe Form.

I have a Interactive form UI on WebDynpro view. On a click of a button inside the Adobe Form, a popup appears. This popup is a webdynpro java popup window.
While the popup is appearing or while closing the Adobe form gets refreshed each time and popup moves to first page of the form and user needs to scroll down the page to where the popup was triggered. Is there anyway I can avoid to the page get refreshed.
I am using NWDS 7.14 and Adobe Version 9.0...

Maybe I understand your requirement now. Since you are calling a server side event i.e. to get the data, the page where you are currently gets lost and that's how it should be.
Now as a workaround we can try setting the focus to the particular input field when the page is loaded with the selected value.
1. For this create a boolean atrribute and set it to Y when value from poupwindow is selected.
wdContext.currentContextElement.setPopValSelected("Y");
2. Drag a textfield and bind it to this context. Make the field as invisble from Object palette.
3. Now in the form:ready or layout:ready event of the top level subform write the following JavaScript:-
if(popValSelected.rawValue == "Y")
xfa.host.setFocus("TextField1");

Submit button from Interactive adobe form in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi all,
We seem to be having a problem with the 'submit' button on the Interactive Form for the Web Dynpro ABAP. The submit button is from the Web Dynpro active X or web Dynpro Native in the form designer. The submit button doesn't trigger the action in Web Dynpro. we are currently running on support pack 9 for the ABAP stack. We have Internet Explorer browser version 6. Could someone tell me if there are requirements for the IE version that will work in conjunction with a particular ABAP stack version. And, are there specific IE security settings or administrative privilages required with this version of the ABAP stack. Or, any other ideas as to why this does not seem to work.

"Error attempting to read file" at Webservice call from Adobe Form.

We have designed a Webservice form a Function Module in ECC 6.0, In the soamanager transaction the webservice works fine. But at the time of call from the Adobe form, it gives an error stating that "Error attempting to read from file" and then the URL of the Webservice to be excuted.

I am using it as a WSDL based data connection.
How do i check this WSDL through a web browser? I have checked it through SICF Transaction code, It gives the output in explorer as given in the first post of this thread..
Please help me resolving this issue, i feel that this issue is somewhere related to the role assignment of the user as if i provide this user an authorization of SAP_ALL then everything starts working fine, but after removing SAP_ALL this error is encountered, do u hav any pin points on this??

Interactive Adobe Form Attachments - not possible??

Hi All,
I'm trying to extract attachments from interactive adobe form.
I bound the pdfsource to the form and tried to extract the attachments using pdfclasses.
The attachments are not captured in the pdfsource. SAP Note 1260750 says
"There is no support for attachments to interactive forms up to SAP NetWeaver 70 EhP2."
However I tried the same using offline upload (interactive form) and I could extract the attachments on SAP Netweaver 7.0 Ehp1.
I would like to know -
1) If there is some work around to do the same for Online form too.
2) Is Ehp2 released?

Since i had queries regarding the same requirement that I think you have just achieved, so I could not help but to reply to the same thread and hoping to get some help.
I have developed an offline Interactive form which after getting filled is submitted by mail to save the information at the backend in the SAP system. This is working fine.
But now i need to enhance this form by providing an attachment functionality to the form where the user would be allowed to fill in the form and also attach some documents. I have been able to implement the same absolutely fine but while submitting the form through email, where my form gets attached with the mail in an xml format, I am not able find a way to send the attachment in the attached xml and thus not reaching backend.
Please help me out to find a way to send the attached document by Submitting though mail and thus make it reach the backend system for further processing.

Calling Interactive Adobe Form from workflow work-item

Here is the requirement.
WE have Interactive Adobe Form developed and now the requirement is to call this form in our workflow as work-item.
When the work-item agent double-click on the work-item he must call the adboe form.

Contradiction form error in non interactive adobe forms.

HI All,
I am woriking on a non interactive adobe forms generation program in ABAP.
The program uses a variant and generate pdf forms for all the list items on the varient.
Note: I am not using Webdynpro its the normal pdf generation.
The problem I am facing is that when the varient has a list of more records at some point of time it generates the contradiction form error and terminates. if I alter the varient so that the list is minimal then there is no problem with that.
I know that the Contradiction form error occurs when the pdf generation is open and there is another request to open a new form before closing the previous call. but when the varient has minimal data there is no problem with that, my assumption here is the data volume or such which causes the problem.
Does somebody came accross such an issue earlier or if you have a solution approach please do share it with me.

Database Buffering problem in Interactive Adobe Forms

Hi All,
In our project, there is one interactive adobe form developed to create/update lead data. The lead data from Adobe Form is read using custom class and method of the same class updates the lead. (BOL programming is used to update and create lead. Also, all the Save and Commit statements are used properly).
There is no problem in creating the lead using interactive Adobe Forms. But, when the same lead is updated in the same session using the same adobe form, due to some database buffering issue, system tries to insert duplicate records in CRM_LEAD_H table which is causing error dump - SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC. This dump occurs in update function module CRM_LEAD_H_UPDATE_DU.
If we logged off from the session, the database buffer gets refreshed and lead is updated successfully.
Is there any method/function module to refresh DB buffer before calling the adobe form?

Few fields have reference to table XBT. But when I see this in SE 11, such a table is not existing at all.

Save interactive adobe form in presentation server through report program

Hi All,
          We have developed a interactive adobe form in SFP transaction and we are calling this form
          from report program and we are able to save the form in presentation server.
          But my scenario is that user provides input in interactive adobe form and i need to save the interactive adobe form
          in display mode that to in presentation server with input values provided by the user.
         could any help to achieve this or guide me if i am moving in a wrong path.

It all depends on what you want to do.
If you are planning on users to fill out on-line form only and submit to SAP, it is pretty easy to do (that is once you understand how to create web dynpro and interactive form).
You can also have users fill a form offline and upload to online and save it to SAP.
You do need to know little bit about coding (ABAP or JAVA),
but can be done w/ very minimum coding.
If you are planning on doing in Web Dynpro ABAP,
go to SE 80 and select WebDynpro and create form.
To save data/form to SAP, you probably want to use BAPI or Function module already available so that you don't have to do much coding to save data.
See some of these links for helpful tutorials. Thomas Jung has several good tutorials, but none of them probably have all the information you need... you just have to pick some from here and some from other places... If you have specific question, I will be happy to guide you...

Interactive Forms based on Adobe software is SAP's new solution for forms development. Its first release has the focus on interactive use of forms. High-volume printing is supported in principle, but - being a new solution - the performance has not yet reached the same level as Smart Forms or SAPscript, two established solutions that had years to grow. Interactive Forms is the only solution that will continue to be enhanced with new features, while SAPscript and Smart Forms will be supported without limitations.
When (or if) to move to Interactive Forms depends on your requirements. For interactive forms usage, i.e. the new functions, you have no choice, as the existing solutions don't support it. High-volume print scenarios need to be carefully analyzed to see whether your concrete requirements can be met at this point.
However, it is possible to move to Smart Forms and design your forms in such a way that a migration at any point in the future would be but a small step. Smart Forms offers from Web AS 6.40 a migration wizard to Interactive Forms. Technically, everything can be migrated, but we recommend against things like ABAP program nodes, for example.
You are not forced to ever go to Interactive Forms if you don't want to. It really depends on whether your client needs any of the new features in Interactive Forms. Also, if they are currently working with JetForms, they could enquire with Adobe directly what migration path they offer to the joint solution.

To get an overview idea about Adobe forms ,
Using SFP Tcode , first you need to create a interface . in interface you can declare the import and export parameters and also the declaration part, coding etc : This is nothing but similar to Function module interface.
And now we have to create the Form which is interactive. Create the form and enter the interface name which you have created in first step, so that the parameters , declarations of fields etc : will be copied and available in the form layout. So that you can drag and drop these declared fields ( dclared fields of interface ) to the layout.
Create the context and layout in the form.
The layout generated can be previewed and saved as PDF output.
Now we need to integrate the driver program and the PDF form to get the final output as per the requirement.
On activating and executing the form you will get a function module name just similar to smartforms.
The driver program needs to call this FM.

Interactive Adobe Form's Language Translation

Hi all,
we activated the MSS 60.1 version on the SAP NetWeaver 2004 Enterprise Portal.
We need to activate a link on EP that refers to PCR application. From this link we want to call all the Interactive Adobe Forms associated to the ISR standard scenarios.
Our problem is this: all the standard Adobe Forms are generated in german language. How can we generate them in italian language?
