WebService Test page generation
Hello,
I have a question regarding WebService test page generator. I have OC4J standalone (10.1.3.3.0) configured on internal IP address like 10.x.x.x and for test reasons this server is accessible via internet.
Test page for WebService generated by application server is always generated using this internal address as host (see page source fragment below):
<p>Download the JavaScript Stub (<i>BETA</i>) for ServiceSoapHttpPort and see its documentation.</p>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://10.201.205.63:8888/testws/ServiceSoapHttpPort?ServiceSoapHttpPorttest.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
Because of this, it is impossible to run test page using external server address.
Is there any parameter or configuration file which control the way that webservice test page is generated ?
Regards
Tom
Hello,
The test page does the best it can to reflect and provide test values,
however there are limitations. Note, this does not mean there is a
problem with your service, it is simply a limitation of the dynamically
generated test page.
You might consider your own custom home page [1]
Hope this helps,
Bruce

Hi,
I have a WSDL which refers to a xsd schema for types information.
To create a webservice from this WSDL, I used following ant tasks.
autotype : To generate type information from WSDL
wsdl2service : To generate partial implementation of web service
autotype : To generate type information for the session bean which implements
webservice
source2wsdd : To generate webservice from stateless session bean
wspackage : To generate ear and client.
My session bean uses the userdefined complex datatypes, which are defined in
XSD, as parameters for a method.(The java classes for the complex datatypes are
genrated by autotype ant task)
I could successfully generate the webservice and deploy it to BEA 8.1, but when
I open the BEA web console test-page to test the service, I get following error
message.
<!-- Do not know how to create a sample instance for this part due to the following
exception:java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: argument type mismatch. Pls replace
this with the correct XML before invoking the service. --->
Test page is not able to generate the XML equivalent of the method parameter (complex
datatype) .
Can anyone help me solve the problem ?

Sachin

JDeveloper 11g/Weblogic Webservices: Is there a test page like OC4J?
Hi All,
I am using JDevelope r 11.1.2.2.0.
I have begun the process of going from a JDeveloper 10/OC4J environment, to a JDeveloper 11g/Weblogic environment.
My initial steps to migrate the code (mainly webservices) was to go through a process of generating the web services from the WSDL and the dependent schemas.
I also refactored the previous web service implementation to make it better to Unit test etc, and seperate it out from the generated stubs, as it's always a pain to regenerate the stubs.
However, this seems fine, the unit tests run fine, but when I come to deploy the the integrated weblogic server I run across a problem.
Well, not a problem as such, but in the OC4J world, you used a get a nice HTML generated page at the end point, with this you could paste XML in and submit them to the web service.
However this isn't the case in what I have produced. I am not sure what actually generated it previously, if it was jdev 10 or oc4j or something else?
Is this the intention on weblogic, or am i doing something wrong? I only get a very basic web page with a link to the WSDL ant nothing much else.
I have been banging my head against a wall for a day or so with this, and any help appreciated, it would be really useful to get that test page up.
Thanks
Norm

We have 2 bindings and there seems only one servlet mapping in the web.xml, where in Jdeveloper 10 there were 2.
Does anyone know why this is ?

Servlet web service endpoint 'AAEWebService' failure
java.lang.RuntimeException: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException
at org.aae.jose.bd.AAEWebService.<init>(AAEWebService.java:50)
at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newIn  Hello,
you can check it at GlassFish Admin console (usually running on port 4848).
You need to log on to Admin console with the (default) or changed password (depends if you changed it during installation).
There you could see your web service deployed (usually in the "folder" Web services).
If you can see it you should see also wsdl - for your web service.

Cannot Test this Web Service using the Test Page
Hello,
I'm using
- JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
- SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.0
- Weblogic Server 10.3.3
- Windows XP SP3 (german version)
Now I'm having a BPEL-Process (SOA) Project created in JDeveloper and deployment to the server works fine, i.e. the service can be seen in enterprise manager.
But if I want to test the service using the webservice tester it get the following error if I copy the URL for getting the WSDL file to another browser tab:
Cannot Test this Web Service using the Test Page
Endpoint Name : FabricProvider (Service Description)
You can test the Web Service using a Java client.
Failed to Load a composite for composite identified by default/ReisebuchungService!1.0*soa_6aebb5fb-7830-497b-b853-839518d112f0
Please verify that the composite has been deployed.
Can you help me with this issue? I have no idea where to start debugging or resolving the problem.
Thanks in advanceHeya

Soap response the web service test page
Hi
I am trying to write the static client for a wlw web service. This web service doesn't have @jws:protocol specified, so it has get, post and soap. When I call one of its method using soap port in my static client, it returns the html looks like the weblogic test page for this web service. Here it is:

Edited by Holy at 02/08/2008 9:45 AMFigured out that the testWS.jws is deployed to use ssl. But the wsdl generated has http. It works fine after I manually changed to https.

Hp all-in One remote prints test page but cannot find printer for anything else
The HP All-in-One application can print test pages on my 8610 but when I go to any document or photo and try to print I get the following message "This Printer is not available." I have checked and have the latest version of the HP All-in-one Printer Remote application and the HP Print Service Plugin applications from the Google Play store. I am using a Samsung Galaxy 5 running Android 5.0. If I print a page from my laptop using wireless to this printer, I can see the All-in-One application tracking my printer status so I know it can see the printer. The app on the phone will show the status under the printer name going from Ready to Unavailable to Ready as a document is printed and then finished. I am printing directly with local WIFI and am not using the ePrint feature.
Hello , Welcome to the HP Forums!
I hope you have a pleasant experience here. I'd like to help you with the issues you are having printing from your Samsung Galaxy S5 to your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One printer. Firstly, do you have the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet? The printer has a power moderator built in, so if it is plugged into a power surge bar or battery backup it may be getting inconsistent power. This can cause all kinds of firmware glitches (like the printer status not being broadcast properly). If that doesn't immediately resolve the issue, please follow the steps below: Network Power Reset: Let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.), then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection. Restore Network Defaults and Reconnect: 1. On the front panel of the printer, touch your wireless icon at the top2. Select Settings.3. Select Restore Network Defaults.4. Restart your printer.5. Once it's booted back up, touch the wireless icon again.6. Select Settings.7. Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to enter your wireless network details.8. Try enabling the web services again. Another thing I would suggest, would be to download the HP ePrint app, rather than the All-in-One Remote. The Remote is moreso suited for scanning to your phone from your product, so I would suggest trying the ePrint app (you can download it from the Play Store). If the issue persists after these steps, please answer the following questions so I'm better able to assist: Are you able to print reliably from any other devices on your network? What brand and model of router are you using? What is it that you are trying to print? (ie. E-mail, photo, document)What app are you printing from? (Some Android apps have a direct printing feature)I look forward to hearing back from you and working towards a resolution to this issue!Have a great weekend. -
I pad does not find my AirPrint printer even though it prints the printer test page okay
My XP 400 Epson AirPrint printer is installed on my I Pad 2. The I pad requested that a test page be printed after printer installed and the printer printed the test page. When I want to print a web page or a text document the I pad cannot find an AirPrint printer. What can be done to correct this error.
Dick-
The XP-400 is listed on Apple's list of AirPrint printers, so it should work as soon as you pair it with your WiFi. No other printer installation is involved. I assume your XP-400 has the latest updates from Epson.
Are you using an Epson printing App, by any chance? The Epson printing App does not use AirPrint, it uses the printer's native printing language. Other Apps on the iPad can not print via the Epson App.
In other words, something else is keeping your iPad from seeing the printer. One cause might be that your WiFi router does not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint. If that is your problem, contact the router's manufacturer to see if there is a change in its setup or a firmware update that will solve the problem.

C309a wireless working Fail on test page
The printer would always need to be unplugged and plugged back in to get it to recognize things and print. We moved and it sat in a box for 2 months, now, when its turned on and I go through set up it doesn't recognize a wireless network. I ran a test page wireless on, wireless working... fail, then all the other tests say not run. I turned it off and on, unplugged and replugged, I'm at a loss, anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
KHello Kayjay-
Sounds like you need to restore network settings. Press the wrench on the front panel, then press network. After network screen, press the restore network defaults. Then go back and run the wireless set up wizard. I hope this helps.
Also, remember a click on the Kudos star to the left is a quick "Thanks" for a helpful post.

To check ink levels I am told to print self test. page from cpu or printer.
There is no way to print a test page on my" psc 2410 all in one" connected to a HP cpu with Win 7, 64 bit. Is there a workaround/
The page here shows how to print a self-test report from the front panel, but it does not appear to have ink level information. I have not used a PSC 2410 for years, but the following may give you what you need: press the # and * buttons together on the printer. The screen will say "Enter special key combination". Press 1 2 3. This should bring up a service menu. Use the right arrow button repeatedly to bring up a "Special Reports" screen, OK, then right arrow to select "Cartridges" or some similar, then press OK. A page will print with ink level information shown about the middle of the page.

HP Officejet Pro 8500A Premium will not print docs from computer, but will print a test page. I continually get a message that the computer cannot communicate with the printer. Not only will it not print docs, it will not print web pages using IE 11 or Google Chrome.
I've used Print and Scan Doctor, it always reports there are no issues and prints a test page even though I can't print anything else.
Each time I want to print, I must reboot the computer. After reboot I have one chance to print. This problem started February 15, 2015.
My operating system is Windows 8.1. I have unintalled the HP software, rebooted, then reinstalled the software:
OJ8500_A910_1315-1.exe
HP Print and Scan Doctor - HPPSdr.exe
HPSupportSolutionsFramework-11.51.0049.msi
All versions were last downloaded on April 4, 2015.
I have a home wireless network (Ubee DDW366 router). All other devices in the house will print to the 8500A printer without issues: 2 Toshiba laptops, 2 Android phones, and 1FireHD.
The desk top is installed with a Netgear Network card I don't know the model, but I had it tested by a PC Tech to confirm that the card is working. The card and Windows 8.1 were installed on January 3, 2015.
I have run virus scans and malware scans. Each time they show there are no issues with my desktop. What kind of desktop? Specifically made to my specs from store parts. . . no brand name computer. ASUS Motherboard P6X580 Premium. Now I will probably get hacked!
I am at my wits end. And it is frustrating when I need to make a print of something and the system locks up. I often resort to screen printing to a word document to save in order to reboot. . . .but then I lose all sorts of capabilites when I salvage what I needed. Also this is a time consumer.
This printer has served us well for two years and I have expensive cartridges waiting; another two rounds of refills.
Help?
Addendum: I can scan using HP Printer Assistance. I open the HP Printer assistant, it "retrieves" info from the printer, then I select "scan a document or photo" and the printer responds. I have no trouble with scanning.
This question was solved.

Won't print to photo tray, but will print test page
I have most current Vista driver, but can't print to photo tray. It won't pull the tray in, although it works great when printing test page. I tried various page/paper settings and "photo tray" light settings, but still won't print from Vista.
Tried 8250 printer properties, changing paper settings, but can't recognize settings, even though it sees the paper and prints the test page. Seemed to work just fine with XP.
This question was solved.

Plugged back into Vista, fooled with the settings, then it worked!
I don't know what exactly fixed it... -
Hp c7180. Test page has got lines across text and colours.
My Hp photosmart c7180 is not printing to a good quality.
My problems started when the cleaning mechanism was not able to go back to the home position and this then caused the print head to slam up to the cleaning mechanism (there is two plastic tabs that it hit). I then went inside the machine and found that the cleaning mechanism is on a runner with the rubber and a few other things. I freed up this mechanism and got it to slide up and down several times. i then put the machine back together printed a test page and the inks were very faint. After cleaning the head and doing an alignment several times, the inks are becoming more clear but still not right. There is a lot of lines through the text and the blocks of colour.
I did a print of a page of small text and the quality was fine. I printed a picture in greyscale and it has greens and reds in it. Also the larger text is blurred on some lines (not all the text on the same line is blurred)
What do i do now ??
There is also a roller that is spinning more than it used to. This is located underneath the print head towards the back of the printer.( It is connected to the little cogs on the left which pump the ink to the heads i think) Any suggestions on this would also be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
StephenThank you for the detailed post rileyc.
I would like to help you with the printing issue you are experiencing. I understand the issue seems to be related to the ink system or potentially the driver. The best plan of attack is to narrow down the root cause.
Can you please perform a colour copy that contains black spots too? I would like to see if the printer hardware can duplicate a page without any quality issues. Please let me know the outcome of the copy and we can go from there. Thanks

PSC 1510 always prints test page on startup; settings menu no help
Hi,
My HP PSC 1510 All-in-one printer always prints a test page when I start it up, wasting ink and paper. I tried two things, neither of which solved the problem:
- Checking the settings, services, and every other menu I could find for any related options. Some other random help forums said there was a "print test page on startup" option somewhere, but I found nothing of that nature.
- Aligning the printer, as instructed by the test page it keeps printing out. Its first alignment failed, but the second alignment seemed to work. However, it still printed a test page the next time I started it up.
Extra information: I'm on Windows XP, and HP Software Update tells me there are no newer updates available. Also, this printer was sitting in the closet for a couple years--I only just recently hooked it up and gave it a new ink cartridge (so I can't say how it behaved before I gave it a new cartridge since it was on the shelf with no ink for a long time).
Thanks! -
HP photosmart all-in-one C4580 will only print test page
this C4580 has been installed wirelessly on my Toshiba notebook and my Hp desktop and my husband's Toshiba notebook for over a year. We move the printer across the room to a different electrical outlet (no extension cord...directly into wall plug). It will print beautifully from HP desktop and husband's notebook. Will not print from my notebook. Tried uninstalling printer on my notebook and reinstalling (I have done this 3 times so far). After re-installation, the test page prints perfectly but any further attempt to print a page or a document goes nowhere. The devices and printers display shows the printer as ready and with no documents in queue. Anyone know what I should do next? POI: the 2 notebooks are windows 7 and the desktop is XPPRO
