Webservice to Proxy scenario..

Hi,
My scenario is EP -- XI -- Proxy scenario in which i have an wsdl at the EP side and what else configuration to be done for creating the proxy at the target side..
Do we need to create the inbound proxy w.r.t to the interface and request you to post the step by step procedure of how to complete this scenario
as i am new to work with proxies request your valuable inputs

EP --> XI/PI
1) Create a DT, MT relevant to the message that EP will be sending.
2) Create a Outbound Asynchronous Message/ Service Interface
XI/PI --> SAP(Proxy)
1) Create a DT, MT relevant to the message that needs to be send to SAP.
If message and structure is the same as in EP --> XI/PI then reuse the above created DT, MT
2) Create a Inbound Asynchronous Message Interface
If needed create relevant Mapping program (Message and Interface mapping)
In ID:
1) Create a Business Service for EP....and include the Outbound Async MI here
2) Create a Business System for the Proxy and include the Inbound Async Mi
3) Create a Sender SOAP channel
4) Create a Receiver Proxy (adapter type: XI) channel
5) Create Receiver Determination, Interface Determination, Sender & Receiver Agreement.
6) Create a WSDL file in ID --> Tools --> Display WSDL --> enter the details accordinlgy in the wizard.
7) Give this WSDL file to the EP application.
8) In transaction SPROXY create the inbound proxy for the message interface developed in XI/ PI --> SAP(Proxy) section.
How to create a WSDL/ proxy....just make a search on SDN....lot of blogs are present.

Webservice to proxy - response back to webservice

Hello expert,
I am working on webservice to proxy scenario. When request to create purchase order received by PI thru webservice, PI will do proxy call to create purchase order in ECC and send response back.
We don't want to send ECC response back to Webservice, but we would like to send positive response back as soon as PI recieve the message irrespective of what happens in ECC.
Need some advise.

One way of doing is after sending request to ecc, you can code in proxy as response in the same interface with single field element like mesg receiveed and map that response to soap response on the sender side. (in this case you dont really process the soap request in ecc directly. you do it at later or convenient time or after sending success transfer message). Basically you handle logic in abap proxy side.
Mapping 1 soap request to proxy request (Per business requirement)
Mapping 2 proxy response (status : messg received ) to soap response
Rest are all same. Basically you do SOAP (sender) to PRoxy (receiver) synchronous mode
If you dont want to pass the soap request message directly to ECC and within that timeframe want to send successful mesg from pI itself then you have to design to store the mesg temporarily. What will happen if your ecc is down? How do you handle that situation.

Webservice to proxy

Hi all,
I am doing webservice to proxy scenario, the message was suucessfully came from webservice but the message is not reaching to application system.
in sxmb_moni i can see the error like this:
The URL http://sapqec.sap.lonmin.net:8011/sap/xi/engine was not called due to an error
Can any one please help me what was the wong?

kiran,
when doing webservice to proxy, you must ensure that the message which is going out from XI engine to the R/3 must be exactly the same as the R/3 is needed.
Check your proxy in SOAP tester and then check the message which is coming out from XI ( you can use any TCPmonitoring tools) or the message in Receiver.
Try Document Style WSDL instead of RPC style would make it run

Webservice to RFC scenario

In the webservice to RFC scenario i am trying to create a webservice from the tools->define webservice option. the system takes to me a webservice creaton wizard and it asks for the Integration Server SOAP inbound channel URL I know that the syntax of the URL is like shown below.
http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel
How do I know what is the host and port of the system??
Also we need java knowledge to excel in XI. I want to know to what extent we need to learn Java to be able to excel in XI. Is there any blog or link which discuss about this?

How To Develop a Simple WebService App XI Scenarios

Hi,
How can I develop A simple Webservice for any scenario, for example, if am doing File to file scenario, and i want to develop a Webservice for the same scenario,
I think in ID we have an option Under Tools "Define Webservice" where in we can use wsdl format of the message interfaces.
How should i proceed to develop the Webservice?

Hi Varun,
After creating the wsdl file u can deploy using MS visual studio.
Follow the steps and run the scenario.
use it in a Client Program in .NET : (assuming Maths as the WSDL and Webserice name)
1.) Place maths.wsdl in C:/Sample/ folder
2.) Open Visual studio command prompt using the Start Menu
        Start->Programs->Microsoft Visual Studio 2005->Visual Studio Tools->Visual Studio 2005 Command Prompt
3.) In the Command prompt go to that directory
    > C:
    > CD\
    > CD Sample
    > wsdl maths.wsdl /out:"c:\sample"
4.) The previous step will create a file called Maths.cs , go to that folder and confirm this
5.) Open Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, open the Client application where this webservice needs to be called
6.) If your Client application is a web application, the see if the website has a folder called "App_Code"
    If not then create this folder. Right Click on this folder and click on "Add Existing Item"
7.) Browse to C:/sample and select the Maths.cs file
8.) If your client is a Desktop application , just add this file in a similar manner to the project(no need of creating any folder)
9.) After the file gets added, open Maths.cs file
10.) Add a namespace to it for convinience
        eg:
            namespace SAP
   This should come before the Class Declaration and close it after the class
    eg: See the red lines

Error while activating webservice-consumer-proxy

Hi,
I'm trying to generate a webservice-consumer-proxy from a Salesforce.com-WSDL-File. When trying to activate the proxy I receive an error-message from class CX_ESD_EXCEPTION stating "Beim Aktivieren des Proxys ist ein Fehler aufgetreten." (in english: "Error occured when activating the proxy"). The WSDL-File is SOAP-Version 1.1, Document/Literal.

I have a similar issue and it says that the reason is one of the exception classes in XML in not derived from either cx_static_check or cx_dynamic_check.
Please let me know if anyone have ideas how to resolve this

In order to to solve your problem, I need to know what is the header that you want to add into the header, what is WSDL, and have you try testing that web service using other tool such as SOAPUI or XMLSPY and what is the result of testing tool?

FTP to ABAP Proxy Scenario - getting error CO_TXT_CHANNEL_PASSWORD_ERROR

We have transported PI and EP data from development server to respective production, every thing is running fine except the abap proxy scenarios i.e. PI reads file from ftp location and calls the abap proxy but we are getting following errors:

Please test the HTTP destination of your receiver comm channel.
Which is the RFC connection to your R3 system.
Transaction SM59 and check the logon parameter for the connection you are using.

EOIO is not working for file- BPM- Proxy scenario.

Hi All,
I have one File to BPM (Merge pattern ) to Proxy scenario.
I have two file communication channel at the sender side and defined QOS as EOIO for both. In SXMB_MONI it assings same queue for all messages.
BPM is merging that messages. However during that it assings different queue for merged messages.
When it comes to proxy , again different queues are assingned to the messages.
Is there any way I can define QOS in BPM or at the proxy side ( I know it should be at the sender side only , but it's not working..)

Within the current release the BPM will always only use EO (SAP Note 833740).

Issue in Iodc- abap proxy scenario

Hi all
I have a idoc to abap proxy scenario. The issue is ,
when we send the idoc to client A of target system, it works ifne.
But when we send the saem mesage to Client B, we find a error message in sxmb_moni of Target system. the mesage is Application_fault.
Is it because of any error in XI configuration or somethin else.

I forgot to mention that based on a particualr field value in the idoc , it will be routed to eihter Client 100 or 200 .
I gave the conditions in Receiver Determination.
Same Server Proxy is used in both the target business sytems.
I have done all the Configuration Steps ,( Created two separate business systems also )
Also I have checked wiht all the system settings to be made in the target system B.
When i trigger the idoc to Client 100, it goes to XI and then reaches Client 100 of System B
without any problem. I get the desired result from proxy code.
When i send the saem idoc to Client 200, it reaches the target system and routed to client 200. But getting this error message in
the Call Inbound PRoxy step. (from sxmb_moni)

Hi Mahesh,
1) Use SPROXY transaction.
Menu-> Proxy -> Activate All.
2) check in the interface determination if u are using correct
inbound interface.
3) If this if fine....try deleting all proxy objects of the interface
and create new.

Data stuck in QRFC in client proxy scenario

In client proxy scenario (proxy to file async). I triggered the report porgram from ECC and I the green flag moni in ECC but the mesage is did nto reach PI as it got stuck in qrfc. It reaches PI upon clearing the message from SMQ2. Please help solve this.

this problem persists when queues are not registered or any abapstack workitem gets into error.
select the workitem in smq2. execute it manually. after completing the execution, goto sxmb_adm tcode, there select manage queues. then register queues.

File to Proxy Scenario : Error in communication channel monitoring

Hi,
I have developed File to Proxy Scenario on PI 7.1 system and it is not working. I see the below error in communication channel monitoring.
u201CError: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.ConfigException: Some of the IS access information is not available. SLDAccess property may be set to true, but SLD is not available.u201D
File will be picked from the FTP server.
I have created File system in SLD of type "Third Party", Can this be the issue?

make a dummy change and activate your object then make a full refresh
you can make it through in 3 ways
1) tcode SXI_CACHE
2) go to ID -> environment and make a full cache refresh
3) http://<host>:5<sys#>00/CPACache/refresh?mode=full Full CPA cache refresh
when you do the developement then these are stored in ABAP data dictionary table which can be refreshed by delta cache
while full cache will delete this temporary object and make this cahe into runtime

SOAP - Proxy Scenario

In my SOAP to Proxy scenario I have a proxy that will return "true" or "false" depending on the logic in my method. When I execute the proxy it returns the false value for cases that are false in SAP. The scenario does not return the "true" value when the logic is true in SAP. If I go into SAP and run the method, both the true and the false logic paths work and the method returns the correct value. If I hard code the variable in the method to "test" and execute the XI scenario it will return the word "test" for both cases, true and false. I have the same scenario in my XIQ system and it works fine.
So, what I have done...
I have flushed the cache, that did not work.
I have rebooted my XI system that has the problem.
I have compared my XI broken system with the one that is working and there are no differences.
Does anyone know how I can see what is truely being sent back to the SOAP side? Is there a way to debug the ABAP code from the XI / SOAP side?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ford
When you try with SAP its working right. Did you see that response in XI. If not then no need to touch XI.
Take the payload and try to debug the proxy. You will come to know if it really returns the true value or there is a data issue itself and no problem with XI and SAP.
Check in XI mapping as well. if the value from source is moving to target or not. If you make any changes or found problem do regenerate and activate proxy.
