Is there a way to back up my Basic website using Webjobs or Scheduler?

Workspace 11.1.1.3 can't open Task-list in Basic mode

I'm using EPM 11.1.1.3 on Weblogic 9.23, MS SQL, Win2003R2 EE
User's task list has been created and successfully opened by user in Planning and Workspace (Advanced mode).
He'd like to open this task list in Workspace (Basic mode).
Workspace get error "There a communication error while loading tree data".
Workspace's and Planning's logs has no information about this exception.
What's a problem? Pls help me!

I would try going direct to planning and see if you get this error, it should hopefully produce something in the log if you go directly.

Hot backup on NOARCHIVELOG mode?

DB version:10gR2, 11G
Why is it not possible to do a Hot Backup in NOARCHIVELOG mode? What role does archived redo log files have in a Hot backup?

Because it takes more than zero seconds to backup a database.
Say your database consists of 1 single datafile of 10MB. This datafile, at the OS filesystem level, consists of 2,560 blocks of 4KB each.
If you start a backup of the datafile, the OS utility (tar, cp, cpio, whatever command) reads the first 4KB block and copies it out. It then, after a certain time, reads the next block. And so on till it gets to the last block of the file.
However, since the database is "open" transactions may have updated blocks in the datafile.
Therefore, at time t0, block 1 may have been copied out. At time t5, block 128 may have been copied out. At time t32, block 400 may have been copied out. Unfortunately, some user may have updated block 1 at time t3 and block 128 at time t8.
What would happen if these blocks, having been copied out at different times were restored ? They would be inconsistent !!
It is the ArchiveLog mechanism that allows Oracle to know that a datafile was "active" when it was being backed up. Oracle has to "re-play" all changes that occurred on the datafile from the time the datafile backup began (at t0) till it ended (at the 2,560th block).

I have a requirement to initially hide some attributes when displayed in BASIC mode of af:query with the possibility to add these hidden attributes in ADVANCED mode.

Hi,
Always mention your JDev version.
If you are using BC4J as your model, you can create view criteria and set which attribute to be visible in which mode under UI hints, and use this criteria as query panel in your page.

Hyperion plannin can not launch business rules in basic mode

Hi,all,
We are updating HP system from version 9.2.1 to 11.1.2.1. There is a problem between two versions, here we go: Login Hyperion planning workspace,switch to basic mode,choose a form which has a business rule,in the tool bar,select edit menu,in Hyperion planning version 9,the menu contains a function:launch rules,which can launch the rule which is set on the choosen form,but in version HP 11,the launch rule function does not exist.where can i find or version 11.1.2.1
has removed this function? Thanks a lot!

you can set the business rule on the forms which you want in these steps:
administration--manage data forms selected form edit--business rule option--add the business rule you want to launch .

Red checkmark in contact list on website backup assistant

Some of the contacts in my contact list on the website backup assistant contain a red checkmark. What does it mean?

How frequently does VZW update the red check marks in BackupAssistant and/or does the system somehow automatically do it? How accurate are the red check marks or the absence of them in telling you whether those in your contacts are, or aren't Verizon Wireless users?
For instance my wife just came over to Verizon Wireless less than 2 weeks ago, and her entry in my contact list backup is marked with a red check mark.

Basic mode makes my ipod crash

I just bought my Nike+, and every time I try to start it in Basic mode, my ipod has to restart.
Some people have mentioned it might be a problem with ipod software version 1.1.13 (I think), but I haven't been able to find any good information on how to downgrade (or even if this is a good option...).
I like the concept a lot, but if I can't get it to work, it will have to go back.
Can anyone help?

Have you done any of the basic troubleshooting steps? My Nano3G was crashing on a regular basis until I started using some of the troubleshooting steps that Apple gave me. They do this thing called the 5Rs. By the time you get to the 5th R, you'll know whether or not the problem is the software or the hardware on your iPod.

My iMac OS X, v 10.5.8 cannot access gmail in other than Basic mode with ANY version of Firefox. Is there a fix?

ACR basic mode AUTO function

I would like to process multiple photos through ACR BASIC mode AUTO function. My goal is to have multiple photos INDIVDUALLY analyzed via the AUTO function. This will save time and provide each INDIVDUAL photo with its own unique analysis and setting. I do not want all the photos to receive the same cookie-cutter adjustment. Can this be done?

The "Auto" function works on each individual raw file, not in cookie-cutter fashion.
But if you're going to use the Auto function, you might as well shoot JPEGs instead of raw files.
I'd encourage you to visit the dedicated ACR forum to read about how to learn how to use ACR properly. The ACR engineers are active over there.

ACR basic mode AUTO function (batch processing)

I will then fine tune each photo.

If I click Auto (toning) with multiple photos selected in ACR, I get different settings for each one, so it is not copying the settings of the most selected photos to all the rest, it is analyzing each selected photo and determine optimal settings.
What else are you wanting that it isn’t doing?

Can a CX600 in basic mode be set to have a longer status/presence change setting to Away that 5 minutes?

The symptom: After 5 minutes, this stand lone Polycom CX600 phone running in basic mode sets itself to away. While presence is 'away', it can receive calls directly to its extension, however it does not receive calls from the reponse group it's
a member of. While it's set to 'available' presense, it receives calls from the response group successfully. A Lync resource account with an external phone number/full enterprise voice, is used to sign into this phone. It's Lync 2013.
I've tried within the phone menu in basic mode, to reset the presnse to 'available', but it will still revert to 'away' after five minutes. I've done a hard reset, externally provisioned with USB cable, and from the computer Lync client, set my 'away'
time to the max allowed 360 minutes. However, this did not carry over to the hard phone. I realize I might be able to jury-rig the calendar to always show as available, but I beleive this would only remain if the phone kept operating in enhanced
mode (which is not an option at this site).
So my question is: can a CX600 in basic mode be set to have a longer status/presence change setting to Away that 5 minutes? Again, I realize the answer from that 2011 thread above is 'no', thought I'd ask again in case anything's changed in 2 years.

I didn’t notice there is option on Lync CX600 to control this setting.
The setting from Lync desktop isn’t related with the setting on phone.
That setting is controlled by the local registry key.
For Response Group, you can select Attendant routing method.
Attendant offers a new call to all agents who are signed into Lync Server and the Response Group application at the same time, regardless of their current presence.

Customize Search region of LOV - Basic mode

I created an Input text with List of Values in JDev 11.1.1.2 and designed the search region of this LOV in Basic mode (disable the Advance mode) so the combo box to choose the condition of Search fields like: Contains, Start with, Equal to... disappear.
I wonder if in this Basic mode there is way to make all the search fields in "Contains" condition (Because now, by default, in my Search region, some of the search fields in "Contains" and some in "Equal to" ).
Does any one know how, please help. Thanks.

I provide here some more details:
I want to create the LOV component as unbounded, like the Countries LOV in this post http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2008/02/list-of-values-component-in-search-and.html. However, JDev 11.1.1.2 seems not support to do like this.
So I find another way to create my LOV as below:
Let's say: The view Object is MainVO which contains 2 fields: AAA and BBB.
1. Open the MainVO, in View Accessors tab, I create a view accessor named viewAss and choose the MainVO from the available View Objects and shuttle it to the View Accessors part
2. In Attributes tab of the MainVO, set the List of Values of AAA attribute to viewAss.
In my jspx page:
drag the AAA from the data controls to a this jspx page by choosing: Create -- List of Values -- ADF LOV input.
So the problem here is I can't find in my viewAss the place to choose operators like Contains or Start with etc (as you suggested in the View Criteria).
