Website blocking - is this possible?

I have some experience programming in Ruby, but almost no knowledge about OS X technologies.
I came up with this simple app idea, and was wondering if it's possible and how complicated it would be.

SelftControl is a pretty awesome app.
As an artist myself, I can see why the guy developed it.
However, I can see the need for some HUGE improvement if you are interested in still developing this. If it only had the capability to automate + be on a schedule, this software would be really amazing.
That way you self regulate yourself and can not change it once the software is started, like the application "self control" does.
That is my only criticism of it, but other then that it works awesome!

I would like to send a message to my personal Apple ID from my personal Website? Is this possible?

I've been building websites for some time. I've started re-coding everything in HTML 5 using CSS3. I would like for my site to work for me in the best possible way. I've got an iPad, iPhone & well just about every iDevice you can think of. I would like for my clients to message me directly from my website. I noticed all "imessages" are sent to an Apple ID (this is linked to my current email). I would like to setup my website so that people can imput data into a form & it sends to my Apple ID when they hit submit. Almost like a "mailto:AppleID" . I was also reading that each phone number can have up to 2 apple ID's associated with it. So I would like to make a new id for my website.(that way when i get messages from my website I can know theyre from my website.) Then my personal Apple ID.
Has anyone created an API for this? I noticed the information is somewhat "hush" on iMessage development?

I know I can email and it's great and all. But I would like to get a text message because I like getting the notifications. I also like knowning that my website is producing leads. I think it'd be great to get your compnay involved with HTML development.

I have added some linebreaks to make it fit the page here.
This is obviously done using a valid AIM login name and the a href ="aim:goim? will launch an AIM Client and Message me.
As you say you would create a New Apple ID then this would be iCloud and an AIM valid Name (keeping the Password to 16 characters or less).
I am not aware of an iMessage equivalent that would do this to a Phone or iPad or to the Messages Beta as an iMessage.
To be clear.
What this HTML does is launch an AIM client (App) on the computer or the person viewing my page and then start a chat with the IM included in the HTML.
To do that it queries the AIM servers as to whether I am On line or Line and show a pic relevant to that status. (it does not stop Off Line IMs but I am set up for that. It also does not say if I am Available or Away.)
Edit to get html to show (not sure how to work this Raw code thing which dispalyed in the Reply wysiwyg screen.

"spam" e-mails from my website? Is this possible?

I published my first iweb website a few months ago for my Kennel's puppies, then e-mailed numerous friends and acqaintences of mine telling them about me website, giving them my web address, asking them to pass it on to any interested puppy buyers. I did NOT use the announce website after publishing, but instead just wrote an e-mail using my personal addresses in my yahoo mail account. Recently I received a complaint from a woman that I had sent my initial e-mail to saying she's been getting several "spam" type e-mails from my website. I can't imagine how this could be true. Does i-web even have the ability to automatically send out e-mails? How would it even get her address since I did not link my .mac mail to my yahoo mail? Is it possible that her teenage daughter, who also got the initial e-mail, went to my site and was able to request something be sent to her mother (she really wants a puppy)? I asked a few other people I had initially e-mailed and none of them received anything. This woman was quite annoyed, so I'd like to get to the bottom of this. Can someone please answer this? I can't seem to find any information about something like this anywhere.

I want to delete all cookies when I close Firefox except for one website. Is this possible?

I have a website bookmarked that I use frequently and I have set my preferences on the site. I have Firefox set to allow cookies from this site. Is there any provision to delete all cookies except this site when i close Firefox?

There is a plugin for that, search "cookie" on the plugins site and you'll find it.

Autofill a website field, is this possible?

Hi all,
I reply to a lot of blogs and have my name and email set in my address book as my blog details, but this will only autofill the name and email fields. There is also a website field, and although I've set my websites url in the address book, it does not autofill that field.
Is there any way of setting your address book so that it will autofill the website details? I'd love to just quickly autoflll it instead of either constantly typing it in from blog to blog or copying and pasting each time.

I'm about to become a professional photographer and in the process of producing my own website. I want to choose one which allows photos from Aperture to be uploaded onto it in full resolution, with keyword/time metadata attached. Is this possible?

I plan to use a company such as Zenfolio to allow automatic ordering and payment of prints also. I would also like the photos to be uploaded with a watermark attached. Is this best to apply in Aperture, or by the website, if that is possible?!

There are plug-ins to upload from Aperture to both Zenfolio and SmugMug. The latter is built-in to Aperture 3.5.
I personally use SmugMug and I watermark the photos after the fact. I do this because if people order prints, they want an un-watermarked print, and if I watermark the photo that I upload to the service itself, there's no way to remove it, other than uploading a new version. I'd assume Zenfolio can do the same but don't know first hand.

Message: "Adobe Reader blocked for this website"

When I try to open a pdf file a message appears "Adobe Reader blocked for this website". i then click the little arrow and another window pops up and it reads: "Do you want to trus the website www.........com to use the Adobe Reader plug in? And when I click "Trust" I can then move on to my PDF Download. This was never an issue before and wonder how I can rectify this? Does it have something to do with a 'plug in'?

Website Blocker wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this.

Every time my MAC Pro starts up there is the pop-up window "Website Blocker wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this."
I'm running Yosemite, but the problem also existed in Maverick. This happens even before any application is started.
If I type my password the window closes but will appear again at the next start up.
Did anybody see this problem before?

I have exactly the same problem. It keeps asking for the admin password whenever I delete a file. Annoying! And guess what , after typing in the PW and deleting the file, the trash can is still empty! The deleted files just disappeared!!
So I checked my permissions, everything looked fine (i have perfect read and write rights), but i still used the Disk Utility to repair the permission, but it didn't solve the problem.
I read some article online, saying that BatChmod can crack it. I downloaded the file and tried it, well, it worked 50%, I now see the deleted files sitting in the trash can, but I still have to type in PW to delete files.....
This problem just came up today out of the blue, I'm not using any mobile disk or network disk by the way...
So anyone have any idea how to fix this annoying thingy?

Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to print by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar may appear under the cursor. Click the printer icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
Allow Plug-ins
Then click
Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.

Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 3 with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

How do I upgrade Adobe reader - currentlyevery time I try to download a PDf file on my macpro I get a grey screen and a dialog box that says adobe reader is blocked for this website...

Help - a couple of weeks ago I tried up upgrade adobe reader but it never completed loading as far as I can find / that night would never finish

Hi, I know this reply is a few months late, but just in case someone else needs the answer, as I did. Open the preferences in Safari and go to Security, click "manage website plugins", choose Adobe Reader and choose "Always allow" from the drop down menu beside "When visiting other websites". Hope this helps someone.

I don't know what's wrong with my Mac Mozilla Firefox, version 3.6.8, but today, it started alerting me about an error message on the "Error Console". In every website I visit, it tells me: "The 'charCode' property of a keyup event should not be used. The value is meaningless." Is this possibly caused by a virus?
I saw a pop-up which did not allow me to click it when I scatter the windows on my Mac. I was using Private Browsing, with pop-ups disabled, but one pop-up managed to get passed my settings, and open in another window. It would not allow me to select it, so all I did was to close Firefox, and start a new session. So far, everything has been normal, I also deleted the cookies it installed.
But, I still keep seeing that "Error Console" notice under my "Tools" on the Menu Bar, and when I clicked on it, it listed errors (such as what I listed above).
Would someone explain this to me?

The messages you see in the Error Console are mostly to assist the web site's author in resolving compatibility problems. Some of them can assist you in determining why a web site doesn't work as intended. The one you mentioned doesn't sound that suspicious, except that it occurs on many sites. Perhaps one of your add-ons is trying to monitor what you type?
To diagnose whether this is caused by an add-on or one of your settings, you could try the following:
First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does that resolve the errors? If so, then an add-on usually is the culprit. If not, try creating a new (blank) profile: [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles Managing profiles].
If the new profile works correctly, you can choose between further research on your old profile or moving key settings like bookmarks from your old profile to the new one. My wife lost her iPhone two weeks ago while on vacation in London (cell service inoperative in foreign country). Using Find My iPhone app on my device, I activated Lost Mode and Play Sound. However, both are listed as "Pending," since it those actions require the phone to connect to the internet (wifi only due to no cellular data coverage.).
We recently returned home and purchased a new iPhone.
However, when looking to restore the apps/settings from her old phone using a previous iCloud backup, iCloud indicates that the old phone connected to iCloud and backed up the original phone at a date that is 1 week after it went missing. How is this possible without locking (Lost Mode Pending an internet connection)?
If the phone was activated and connected to the internet via a wifi signal, shouldn't it immedately lock, show up on the map, Play Sound, and send me an email that the phone has been found?
I also read somewhere that if running iOS 7, the iCloud website interface enables you to track previous locations, for instance if the phone moves from wifi hotspot to hotspot. Is that true? If so, how do I do that?

But the status of the order is "processing items"
The page also says its going to be delivered today.
It's 3.35 in the morning, is this possible? Or will the date of arrival move.
