Using Firefox 12 with Imac intel (10.6.8)  2 out of 12 website Browsers open in text instead of images. I have checked Internet Plug-in's all  O.K.

Nothing of the sort here
Run through this list of checks,

you likely need to uninstall all add-ons and then Firefox, and then reinstall FF and add-ons one at a time until the problem shows itself again.

  • Websites are plain text not HTML

I've been having a lot of issues lately with Firefox. I get nothing but plain text websites, it's always asking for the certificates even though it's added them. I've been an avid firefox user for years since my son said it's the best browser out there. Now I'm beginning to wonder.. I've cleared the cache, uninstalled, reinstalled a clean version and still same problems over and over.
    Please help.

  • Some graphics are missing on all websites, Google menu text only

First Google Chrome works perfectly. The issue is with IE and Firefox. The homepage Google.com has an extra menu at the top and it is totally text, but more importantly, on most websites, only some of the graphics show. (ie Flash). It's worst in Gmail where everything is text-only. And NO, I did not enable on of those visually-impaired settings. I have reset settings in both bad browsers and even downloaded a new copy of Firefox. Same thing happens in IE and Firefox, while Chrome is normal. I did fix it last week, but can't remember what I did. But, after my weekly re-boot, it's baaack. Very frustrating. Been trying lots of suggestions for 2 hours now. Same....help my browsing is crippled.

Hi Waka_Flocka_Flame. No, that did not change anything. Still has the problem in Safe Mode. But thanks!

  • Firefox doesn't display Amazon.ca website properly. Text is missing and some navigation button texts are screwy. Older version of FF worked well but each time I upgrade the same thing happens. Help!

With each new version of Firefox, I run into the same issue with Amazon.ca (amazon.com works fine). For instance, on Amazon.COM the links for my account and help are stated as "Your Account | Help". On amazon.CA the links for my account and help are stated as "your-account_279 | topnav-help_1057".
When I log into my account on Amazon.COM I have a web page with text and buttons and links. all functioning. When I log into my account on Amazon.CA I get nothing except two orange buttons - "Your Orders" and "sell my stuff". everything else is blank.
This has happened with each upgrade of Firefox. It seems that Amazon.CA finally gets their coding right and FF comes out with a new version which then screws the website up. are you making your upgrades available to Amazon.CA?
And just so you know, The same thing happens on IE and Chrome.

  • BBC News website appears in "text mode"

The BBC News website has just started appearing in a "text mode". Previously the items were separated and the font was "filled in". Now the articles are all run together and the font appears as an outline.

The problem seems to have cleared.
I used System Restore to go back to a point before I had installed a plug in to enable FF to look at a TV web site. No improvement. (See attachment).
because I had gone back a few days a couple of Win 7 updates had been rremoved. On closing down the pC they were re-installed. Restarting showed no improvement.
I then started to use IE to browse the web and looked at a couple of sites. Then I went back to FF and the BBC site is running perfectly.

  • Firefox website showing in text format

There are some websites like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ that ends up all text. Is there some reason why it comes out like that?

If your having issues with web pages you could try some of these things:
Reload the web pages and try bypassing the cache.
    * Press "Ctrl + Shift + R"
    * Hold down the Shift key and left click the Reload button
If this does not work, you can try fully clearing the cache and cookies from the website that is causing the problems.
'''Note: '''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.
    To clear the cache:
    * Firefox in top left corner > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
    To clear the cookies:
    * Firefox in top left corner > Options > Privacy > Show Cookies >Search for problematic website>Remove Cookies

  • Certain websites display with text only all on left with no images. Ive followed help page troubleshooting tips. Help?

I cannot seem to see certain websites "full" site. On Ebay...I only see text all piled up on left. If I click thru enough I can see an image but I want the full site. Not the second class citizen version. Also same with Netflix. Amazon is great. I've troubleshooted and cleared cookies and cache. I reset and now I'm using safe mode with add ons disabled but still nothing helps.
BTW...I'm very untechnical. Im using a laptop with Windows Vista OS if that helps.
Id also like to be able to use my amazon prime account to stream videos but naturally nothing shows up.
    Please help. SOS. : )

Ebay website mostly works in flash.
so you need to update your flash.
soon this problem will be solved when they started using HTML5

  • Browser won't print website graphics - only text

Does anyone know how to print up web pages so that the graphics on that page will show up and not just the text? I have tried printing with both Firefox and Safari and both refuse to print the graphics. I have a new Epson Color Printer.
Any advice, suggestions would be great.
    Thanks.
    Patrice

Neither Firefox or Safari have a setting that stops the images on a site from being printed. Therefore there must be a setting with your printer driver that is causing the incorrect output.
As a test, choose to print but from the print dialog, select PDF and save the file. If this PDF has the images, then you know its something to do with the Epson driver.

You gave no information about what time zone you are in. The good news is that it is "before noon" somewhere in the world (about half the world) all the time.

Are you sure you want just anyone to be able to edit text on your site?  That's a little dangerous don't you think?

  • How can I make Firefox resize content the old way - resize whole website, not just text?

This worked the way I want it to until last week and I'm seriously considering changing to Chrome because of this.

hello milosz123, this should be a simple fix: go into the ''view ''menu > ''zoom ''and disable ''zoom text only''.

  • All websites display only text and images, but on a white background (no design graphics)

Only the bodies of websites display. None of the headers, footers, menu bars, etc. show. All is white. I reinstalled Firefox with same result. IE displays correctly. I have a new Dell Studio XPS with Windows 7.

  • On my favorite website, free form text boxes are sized strangely and text doesn't fit the allocated space well.

I don't have this problem with other computers running Firefox - only this one. It is my work computer. I also have problems with Javascript sometimes locking up and having to be paused.
