Website completely different in Firefox and Explorer

My apologies if this question has been previously asked.
I am a newbie to Firefox, when I log on to a particular website in Firefox it differs greatly from the IE view, the text is much smaller and portion of the formatting cells are evident.
I have cleared cache/cookies to no avail.

If the website uses the ''alt'' attribute instead of the ''title'' attribute then you won't see tooltips in Firefox. Only IE displays the alt text as a tooltip, but that attribute is meant to show if the image can't be displayed and is not meant as the tooltip.

Thank you neuroanatomist for the info on creating a ringtone. I'll try it.
I should perhaps have mentioned that I have tried all the official channels, including contacting support and sending feedback over the last couple of months. The support people sympathise but can't really help me and I haven't received anything w.r.t. the feedback I have sent, more than once.
I'm now turning to the other users in the hope that someone can get me into contact with a person/people inside Apple that might be able to shed more light on this.
I've already contacted our local distributors and my mobile phone provider and they have told me that it is Apple and only Apple who decide what is available in the store.
W.r.t. licensing etc, I suspect that there may be some legalities involved here, however it's not like we are on a different planet - we get the same DVDs and movies and TV programs here as everywhere else - just not on the iTunes store... So once again everything points back to Apple and not to local laws. As far as I know our laws w.r.t. media are pretty standard and mostly based on UK law, but I am no legal expert.
I would even be happy to get a "we know it's not great, we're working on it", or a "it may take some time, but hang in there" ... but I haven't even been able to get that... which is extremely frustrating.

Firefox and explorer borders appearance

I have a different preview of Firefox vs Explorer with my
column/cells border. It is set to FFFFFF and appears that way in
Explorer, but in Firefox, it appears to have a black 1 pix border.
I can't find where I can get them both to appear the same.
Anybody?

All hex color values must be prefixed with an octothorpe

Quicktime video looks different in Firefox and Safari, is there a fix?

but to keep it simple, my immediate issue is that Safari and Firefox are displaying my video differently. Firefox appears darker and Safari appears brighter. With my monitor set to a gamma of 1.8 (default for OS X) Firefox looks perfect and Safari looks washed out, and with my monitor set to 2.2 (Windows default and all-together better looking) Firefox is too dark and Safari is perfect.
All I want to know is WHY they look different and how to fix this.

While this may work with audio and video originating from your own computer it doesn't seem to effect audio and video viewed from the Firefox 5.01 browser which uses a QuickTime plugin. Audio and Video viewed from Safari and Firefox 3.6.19 work fine which leads me to believe the QT plugin and Firefox 5 browser are not working correctly.

You have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). My Muse page looks different on Firefox and Chrome - both are the latest versions

On Firefox, my pre-loader wants to load each time it encounters an Edge Animate on my scroll page. Page anchors are slightly changed in Firefox and this messes up my scroll, opacity and Ege Animate triggers.

Lastly, I can't get my Form on the said page to work - on both Chrome and FIrefox. I can fill in the boxes but clicking 'Send' doesn't seem to do anything. Also, the text column for "Message" is ridiculously narrow - only 2-3 words long and I can't seem to change this. Visually it looks long but once I start typing it wordwraps after only 2-3 words. I'm using the built-in Form widget that comes with Muse.BTW, the form is right at the bottom of the page/URL I provided in the previous para - you can get there via the menu button, Inquiry.

Notice how Firefox initiates the Muse pre-loader each time it reaches an Edge Animate object AND how the layout looks different when I use the menu buttons to access page anchors. Unfortunately, I forgot to record the form's Message Text Field, to show how narrow the column is. Any idea on how to fix/enlarge the column for this?
BTW, I just received a form submission that I made a while back - like half an hour ago.

Does the Math.Random() work differently in Firefox and Safari??

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I'm
running into using the math.random(). I'm using Flash CS3 and
created a very simple script to select random frames in a simple
movie. It works as expected in the CS3 environment and in Safari
but it doesn't work correctly in Firefox or in the DotNetNuke
module I am using. Here is the code:

I would appreciate any help you can provide.

Also, make sure you declare a doctype in your page template:

If you don't, browsers will just take a guess at what type of (X)HTML you are using. Firefox might guess strict, IE 6 might guess loose, IE 7 might guess loose+quirks, etc. I know it doesn't seem like it would matter, but I've run into it quite a few times recently, so it's the first thing I check now.
You might also try a "Rest CSS" file. This fixed an issue I have in my current project:

I have a 2" space at the top of pages that I print from websites. How do I remove the extra space? My margin settings are at .5"

laderamacguy took a look at it and added a black shape over the tab. he suggested i use a different template next time, such as the black template.

On my Mac, why do websites display differently with FireFox than Safari.

I have been using FireFox on my Mac and prefer it over Safari, BUT recently, some, not all, websites are not displaying correctly! When I use Safari all the content is there and the websites display as they are supposed to. (I tried to insert a screen shot but unable to do so) I have the most current FF version installed, unless FireFox is not happy with my older MAC OS ??

Attached are a few screenshots to show the problem - I now know how to do a screen shot! thx.... anyway note on the Ancestry shot Safari shows a male or female head whereas Firefox show a simple symbol for male/female. I spoke with Ancestry and it is supposed to be the male/female head icons that are displayed. In the Yahoo shot Safair displays the icons and names for reply, delete etc but Firefox has some icon that only if you hover over it will it then display the name or what it is. this is very perplexing as I really prefer Firefox over Safari... any help will be appreciated! thank you

Make sure you are using web safe fonts - these are the fonts common to most browsers/computer systems. If you use a font that is not available on the users system then it will use the default font which mey be a different size than the one you used. This will may make the text larger and therefore the text boxes may overlap. There is a list of web safe fonts in the inspector panel. If you really want to use other most exotic fonts then convert them to an image by adding a dropped shadow.

Website displays differently in firefox only

Ive built a site and it displays fine in chrome and internet explorer but in firefox the second javascript slider is displayed to the far right side of the homepage instead of under the first slider like the other browsers display it. Not sure what is going on. I am using firefox 31.0 and html 4.01.

Opening pdf links forces a crash in firefox and explorer

I've downloaded the trial version of acrobat pro - as soon as I click a pdf link or a web page has an embedded pdf both internet explorer and firefox crash out. I've had to disable pdf handling to allow them at least to be viewed separately to the browsers.
This is a brand new installation of windows XP Pro, so not that.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated
