Website Design Specs For SMS Campaign

I am in the planning stages of an SMS (text messaging)
campaign for one of my clients. Each message will have a quick
benefit and a link to "find out more". I'd like to have an easy
downloading, proper looking webpage for all these details.
Is there a different set of specs to use for these type of
pages since they are viewed on a mobile phone and not a PC?
Just curious because I've never done anything like this
before.
Thanks in advance for your help.

a) How to create nodes , decision in campaign automation and assign workflow ? how to design it ?
b) How workflow will be designed ?
c) Campaign will be run for entire year or more than that or it will be a fixed programe
Next year you need to schedule again your campaign.
d) Birthday wish should be sent on their birthday only
Use a campaing running daily for Target Group Birthday. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/en/46/35033086e01421e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

  • Interactive Reports for Marketing Campaigns using HANA

    Dear Experts,
We are Implementing Interactive Reports for Marketing Campaigns using HANA Hence, I request you all to help with the Config Steps  / any documents that help.
    Your Help is really appreciated.
    Thanks In advance
    Satish

    David,
There are several drawbacks with the standard functionality that you will encounter:
    -  SAPconnect only supports HTTP url posting or RFC destination setup (which means you need a third party server program)
    -  The mail forms do not impose a limitation on the length of messages
    -  Target groups do not check if the person has a mobile number.
If you look at SMS gateway providers they normally allow use via web service or SMPP.  If you plan on doing "bulk" campaigns where you will generate multi-thousand messages a month then you need to use one of these options.  SMPP is a binary protocol that is way too complicated for a business application to implement.  So web services is your best bet.
If we used mostly standard CRM functionaliy we would do the following for SMS:
    -  Use the segment builder to handle our target groups
    -  Use the personalized mail functionality
    -  Use the open channel exits for segment execution to handle the communication to SMS gateway.
Now keep in mind that for SMS campaigns this is going to be cubersome, and not going to provide all the mobile marketing functionality you need.  It still appears that even for CRM 52/2007 that mobile marketing is not really fully addressed in the solution with several major gaps.
We ended up going down a custom route, because the segment builder was not-user friendly and unstable in CRM 40 and the mail form technology did not meet our needs for sending messages and creating template based scenarios.  We still make use of the CRM business partner master for the distribution.
If you have any further questions on doing SMS campaigns with CRM, please let me know.  This is one area where I have spent some extensive research.  If you are looking for SMS gateway providers in the US, I can also provide some names based on our previous research.
    Thank you,
    Stephen

  • Re: SMS Campaign and Coupon Campaign - EXecution

    Hi,
If any one has worked on SMS campaign and Coupon CAmpaign  execution scenarios , Please share the info. It would be more helpful.
    Regards,

    Hi,
For SMS Campaign you will have to do configuration of SAPconnect plugin and settings in SCOT in consultation with your SMS provider. Also, please ensure that the SMS service provider should support SAP.
You can have some more info at the following:

  • Macbook Design specs help!

Hello... im looking for the design specs for the keyboard area of the macbook, like something i can print off and it will be the exact layout of the computer
    like this
    http://images.apple.com/macbook/images/specs_input20081014.jpg
but in real life size that i can print and cut out and it will fit over
basically what im trying to do is buy a gelaskin ( https://www.gelaskins.com/skins.php?Skin=121&Category=7 )
and cut it so it will fit around the part where your wrist goes to protect it from scratches, and around the top of the macbook and also cut out a part for all the keys so i can have a picture where you type, im not daring enough to buy the skin and try to cut it perfectly so i was looking for a specs or a print out thing that i could print off, and stick it behind the gelaskin and cut it then stick it on.... does that make sense ?
any help is much appreciated... wanted to make something sweet that no one had.

im basically trying to do this

  • Ideas for a Website Design with DW 5

New to webiste and looking for ideas on website design.  I have a logo and will have products with pictures and descriptions.  Should I use DW pre-design ideas or should I use my own.  I'm not sure how to on my own design, but I might be able to get help through friends.  All ideas and suggestion on how to get started are appreciated.

If you're new to HTML and CSS in general, I highly recommend learning code basics first.  This will make DW CS5 much easier to work with.  Start slow.  Learn new things in stages.  Build 3 or 4 test pages before you tackle a real project.
    Start here:
    HTML & CSS Tutorials - http://w3schools.com/
Adobe  Developer's Center - Getting Started tutorials
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/?view=gettingstarted
When you're comfortable with the DW interface, it is very helpful to start a new project with a pre-built CSS layout that works in all browsers. You can learn a lot from examining the code, too.
Have a look at PVII's CSS Templates or Page Packs.  (NOTE: I have no affiliation with the company; just happen to like their products).

  • What is best software for website design on iMac?

What software can I best use for website design on my iMac?

RapidWeaver or Sandvox is what I recommend for most people - both require little to no knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, or CSS but can be used to create attractive websites with all the modern doodads. DreamWeaver is a powerful program with a very steep learning curve but well worth learning for professionals and power users. Even so, this power user uses RapidWeaver for most tasks today.

  • What are the ideal specs for professional graphic designer using CS5 illustrator, photoshop and indesign?g

What are the ideal Mac Pro specs for a professional graphic designer using CS5 Premium- using mostly InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop?

    24GB RAM
    SSD for boot drive
GHz, but not necessarily dual. Apple doesn't sell dual 3.33s.
A single 3.33 6-core should do fine and "sweet spot" (when looking, there is "4-core" build to order..,. and like everything else on the Store, why in heavens they didn't be more accurate and clear and say "single socket" and then have "dual processor configurations" 0 I guess the writers don't understand or know workstations or jargon? I say that 'cause some have trouble even finding the 6-core 3.33 choice ($1200 over stock 2.8 4-core).
W3680 though can be found on Buy.com for $620 (was $589 at earlier date) and people are known to then sell the stock cpu $300 making it even more attractive and save $600-900 that way rather easily. Or not.
But yes, I would send you to MPG.com site as well and read through what is on there.

  • Design considerations for mobile version of website

My company has just implemented a new version of our coporate website using Oracle Portal, and ADF. However we do not have comprehensive mobile support but it is required. From my research I've learned we should be using ADF mobile. However, the resources I have found have been geared more at developers and I work as a Business Analyst. Can you point me to online resources (white papers, tutorials etc.) that deal with requirements and design considerations for porting over to a mobile version?
    Thanks in advance.

My apologies for lateness in checking this thread.
Here is an article I wrote that might help. Most of the paper is geared toward developer, but the first few sections talks about best practices for mobile browser app in general, not just for iPhone. http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/huang-iphone.html
You can also check out this link: http://www.orato cle.com/technology/tech/wireless/adf_mobile.html.
As for design consideration, a few rules of thumb:
    - First, obviously use ADF Mobile and Trinidad components. We put a lot of effort in adding rendering support for different mobile devices.
    - Next, figure out what devices you want to support. Browsers found in smartphones varies greatly, and in consumer/feature phones, the support is even less consistent. In general you should be able create one app/set of screens for all mobile devices, but you should plan on having ability to test it out on different devices.
    - Determine what information is really needed by mobile user. Not all information available in desktop application may be applicable for mobile users
    - Design your mobile screens based on a few key principals:
    - Display data as user needs it, instead of trying to display everything. For example, instead of displaying master-detail data on the same screen, break it out into 2 screens. Master data may be a list, and user would click on a particular piece of data to look at the details of that master record.
    - Provide navigation buttons on each screen, and ensure they are easy to get to on a page. For example, using the iPhone paradigm, there is a navigation bar at the top of the page where you can go between views.
    - Place command buttons at location where it's easy for user to get to. For example, if you need to allow user to modify a long list of fields, you may want to place save button on top and button of the screen, so user can easily get to it without having to scroll around too much.
    - Use style sheets to achieve mobile-platform optimized UI. For example, if you intend to support touch screen devices (iPHone, BB Storm, etc), then style your application so buttons, command links, etc, are big enough so it's easy to get to. For non-touch screen devices, then it's OK to compress the UI, but ensure user can easily flow between controls to get to the functionality they need. For example, using a trackball to scroll to a button.
    Thanks,
    Joe Huang

  • Where to start for learning website design?

Is it better to start with DreamWeaver or Muse for website design that will include a store and shopping cart?
    Thanks,
    Dave

Muse is consumer level software aimed at hobbyists and non-coders who want quick & easy static sites without much functionality.  AFAIK, you cannot make a shopping cart  with Muse.
Dreamweaver is pro-level software.  It is the industry standard for developing everything from mobile apps & static sites all the way up to dynamic shopping carts. There's not much you can't do with DW, providing you have the requisite coding skills.

  • Choosing specs for a mac pro

    Hello all,
I've posted this question a few times in the past and am still a bit unsure of what specs i should go with. With the student/teacher discount coming to an end soon, I thought I'd give it one more go. I am also curious how the new mac pro might affect my decision. I will not be needing a 12 core, but did this new product affect the specs for the lower models?
I am looking for a computer that will help me run my small business and keep my art portfolio organized. I'm willing to spend around $3000 and am also willing to use another source to buy less expensive parts to install myself.
My concerns are that it needs to run pretty smoothly with multiple programs open, no overheating, plenty of space for file storage and application support.
Ideally this computer will be my work horse for many years to come.
The programs that would most likely be open in conjunction with one another would be a combination of the following...mozilla, itunes, adobe bridge, dreamweaver, illustrator, and photoshop.
Specifically, i'll be using it for...
    building a few websites
    managing my small business
    large photo file editing
keeping business files, artist receipts, etc
cataloging my art portfolio (large photo files)
storing photos, music, and short videos
    graphic design
    infrequent film editing
    infrequent sound editing
    The programs i'll be using:
CS5 (mostly photoshop, illustrator, bridge, dreamweaver)
    iphoto
    itunes
    maybe minimal finalcut/soundtrack pro
    maybe minimal aftereffects
I received this response the first time I posted this question and have found it to be very helpful, thanks bill! I'm wondering if anyone else would like to expand on it or perhaps offer other options for my situation. Thank you all very much, any advice is appreciated.
"My advice would be to buy the standard configuration 2.66GHz Quad Core (i.e. 3 x 1GB RAM, 640GB hard drive) from the Apple store, with the exception of the graphics card which you can buy as a CTO option for $200.00. It is well worth the upgrade from the GT120 - I know, because I upgraded myself last November after using a GT120 for 4 months.
With regard to the memory, if you can afford it now, buy 4 x 4GB from OWC now. If not, I would suggest that you buy 2 x 4GB now, and then add another 2 x 4GB in the future. 16GB of RAM is a much better option than 8GB for your requirements. You can sell the 3 x 1GB RAM to OWC in "part exchange", and there would be little difference in price for 2 x 4GB to the CTO option of 4 x 2GB.
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Mac-Pro-Memory#1066-memory
Instead of buying 2 x 1TB hard drives as a CTO option, you could purchase 2 x 1.5TB or 2 x 2TB HDDs for less money, and you would still have the 640GB. Spare drives are always useful. I use my original 640GB as a spare emergency system boot drive (OS and applications) in an external enclosure.
Another alternative is to wait a few more weeks, in case the rumours of the introduction of a new Mac Pro range in June have any foundation."

That advice looks pretty sound to me. What I would add is for internal drives you need one for storing your working files (better not to have those on your system drive but not really a big deal). And one for backup with Time Machine. What I also have is a separate external drive to clone my system so I have 2 backups.
And I have a partition on one of the internal drives that is used ONLY as a Photoshop scratch disk. This is by far the fastest solution unless you want to create a raid system. Never have your scratch disk on the same drive as your system drive, not even as a partition. You only need around 500 MB for this and it's best if that partition is dedicated only as a scratch disk.
You can create all of this with partitions for some of it, no need for lots of drives, except use different drives for Time Machine and your clone disk so both can't go out at the same time. I think for speed purposes that the scratch disk and Time Machine should be on internal drives, but Firewire 800 is pretty fast for an external.
Other than that your biggest concern is ram. Get as much as you can afford because that will determine your speed more than anything else.
I was working on a 4 year old iMac, which is a pretty good machine, but the limited 3 gb ram was causing problems because I have Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign open all the time along with Mail, Chrome and a couple of others. When I got a Mac pro last year to replace it I got 8 gb of ram and the speed has been incredible.
    Kevin
Edit: Forgot to mention that you shouldn't buy the hard drives or ram from Apple, they are way too expensive, get the minimum you can from Apple then get new stuff, OWC is a good source.

  • Spec for Adobe Premiere C5.5

    Hi There,
I am trying to put a PC together to run with Windows 7 and with Adobe Creative Suite 5.5.
Would the following spec be suitable to run with Adobe and the Matrox MX02?
    I would appreciate your feedback.
    Regards
    Wayne

    Wayne,
Your previous system spec. that you requested feedback on was quite good:
    Pc spec for video editing
Now you are talking about a slow clock speed dual Xeon, with only 12GB of RAM, Xonar sound and a Matrox MX02 - a system that has a lot of issues:
    - Dual Xeon's, unless you want to buck up to the $1700/each level of processors, cost lots and are not as good for CS5.5 as either a X58 6-core (i7-970, i7-980, i7-980x, i7-990x) or i7-2600k Sandy bridge CPU.
    - Matrox MX02 - I don't have any personal experience, but loads of users are complaining on this forum regarding issues with this card and CS5/CS5.5
    - Quadro 4000 - another expensive card that costs more and does not perform as well as GTX 500 series cards (i.e. GTX 560).
    - WD 1TB Enterprise drives in RAID 1 - again more $$$, and the wrong choice for RAID 1
Bottom line, if your are building this yourself, go back to your last system design and more it forwards. Or, if you are hooking up with a local integrator and this is what they are telling you, call up ADK on Monday and get their thoughts of how to configure a system that best meets your needs; they may be mail order from where you live, but your life will be much better with their "remote" support!
    Regards,
    Jim

    Dear Sridhar,
<b>and one more thing. where do we run the report after created.</b>
You would assign a TCode for the report and possibly add it in the user menu. Hence, you can run the report either with transction code or from user menu.
<b>can anyone provide me with realtime specs for z reports.</b>
Functional specification: The Functional Specification is a comprehensive document created after the Software Requirements Document. It provides more details on selected items originally described in the Software Requirements Template. Elsewhre organizations combine these two documents into a single document.
Functional specs is like a templeate document, hence it will be same whether it is AR or AP or CCA. Basically functional specs is a document which explains the requirements with technical details, so that technical consultant or any other person can read and understand what is the background of the report or an extension done in SAP.
The Functional Specification describes the features of the desired functinality. It describes the product's features as seen by the stake holders, and contains the technical information and the data needed for the design and developement.
The functional specs should have the following details:
Background: Information why this report is required and Business process involved in that.
Selection Parameters: This should what fields should be selection fields, which are optional and which are mandatory etc.
Layout of the report: What information is required in the output of the report. This should also indicate the technical names - Table and field names from where the data needs to be fetched.
Detailed Description: This should explain the logic of the report - what calculations needs to be done etc.
The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particulat area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
It also contains the data regarding change history, if any.
Functional Spec is mainly prepared for the purpose of developing the new reports (this happens only when SAP standard report not achieve the client purpose) using the ABAP Program. for ABAPers you need to give the details of the Tables , Fields and the logic how to pick the value and get the report.

  • Anyone written functional specs for reports?

Please explain how to write functional specs for reports in sales? How is it done? I need to be able to speak clearly in the interview so help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi Haken,
Basically functional spec contains the functionality to be implemented.
    http://www.saptechies.com/what-are-functional-specifications/
Suppose you need to write a spec for Treausry report.
Then you will write the following things( this is only for your understanding)
Treasury Report u2013 Receipts & Payments.
    1.Business Requirement Study:

The proposed requirement would provide information in the form of movements in a number of selected GL Codes involving Customer and Vendor Reconciliation Accounts and Inter-Bank transactions.
