Website doesn't publish as expected

I've been having several problems with the website I've published through iWeb. First, one of my pages consists entirely of text. The spacing I used in iWeb is completely changed in the published website. I've tried adjusting the size of the text box, but the spacing seems to affect random places.
The next issue I have is the video samples I put on the website. They don't appear to be loading at all. The two videos are both quicktime, and play through iWeb, but not through the website. One is 1 minute long, the other is 2 minutes. Could this be an issue with website space?
Finally, I have a picture on the home page of my website on iWeb. It isn't appearing on the website after being published.
I am trying to create a website for prospective employers, and I need everything to look somewhat professional. It's essential that my videos work, and that my text is easy to read. Please help me as soon as possible. Thank you so much!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Regarding the movies. The lower movie is in the footer which will prevent it from loading. Increase the height of the body in the Inspector/Page/Layout pane so that both movies are entirely in the body section.
I can't see why the upper movie isn't loading but it locked up Safari on me when I try to access it directly and I had to force quit out of Safari. *Now your site won't load at all* and a couple of times earlier when trying to load your site I got a server is not responding message
How big are the movie files and what is the format of the movie files. Where are you hosting the site, on ns2.host-care.com?
An alternative would be to upload the movie files to a movie sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo and embed them with HTML snippets and iFrame code. Examples are on this demo page: Adding YouTube & Vimeo Videos.
For your Resume page are you using just one text box for the entire page or multiple boxes? If you don't need to have visitors copy the text you can convert the text box to an image file by adding a drop shadow to the text and setting it's opacity to 1%. The text box will be converted to an image file and you'll see this icon on the box:

Can someone help explain why my iWeb website doesn't publish correctly...

I'm a professor and I'm trying to build a professional website--nothing fancy, six or seven pages and perhaps a blog. The site I have built on iWeb looks wonderful in iWeb, but once I publish the site (GoDaddy is hosting it), various text boxes, fonts, and background shapes get randomly distorted. Moreover, the site has different errors when viewed on my iPad, when viewed on my Macbook in Safari, and when viewed on Macbook in Mozilla. From what I've been gathering, web developers don't like iWeb. I'm not a computer expert, so I like the usability of iWeb (I'm not using any of their prefab templates--that might be the problem). I just want the site that I've built in the program (which looks good) to actually publish correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it is just pointing to other software...

What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand? Also if you're considering some serious blogging I suggest you create your blog on one of the established blogging sites like Posterous, WordPress or Blogger. This will allow you to manage your blog from any computer anywhere and even from some mobile devices. With an iWeb blog you must have a Mac and the domain.sites2 file used to create the site.
Then you can embed that blog into one of your iWeb pages as shown on this demo page: Embed a Site Within an iWeb Page

I have iWeb '08 and just switched from Mobileme to GoDaddy and using Filezilla. Now when I make changes through iWeb it doesn't actually publish to my desktop folder. In fact, it doesn't publish at all but says that it did.

I am publishing directly to an FTP server (option 1). Is this the optimal method or should I be publishing to a folder and then (how do/would I?) publish to my hosting domain?
I'm wondering if this has really anything to do with the publishing process, or whether it just has to do with the photos and/or the photo albums. I've deleted the photo albums with the missing pictures from my site on iweb thinking a file might be corrupt. (I'm getting the albums from iphoto -- drag/drop method into iweb) I then replaced these albums with the same albums as the previous ones from iphoto and then published my site again -- and the EXACT same photos were once again missing in the NEW albums as were missing in the old albums...
Maybe it is a publishing issue, or it could be a photo/file issue. However, these albums aren't very large -- the largest containing 135 photos --
Please! if you have any suggestions or ideas as to what is happening I would be greatly appreciative!

A "website" can be very easily created and at no cost.
I suggest Facebook can cater for "feedback" and "product support" although Wordpress and other similar blog sites offer a free service which is suffiecient for the purpose and a free /default page template makes it fairly easy for anybody without knowledge of HTML or CSS - to create a page and learn to add in much more.

The Toshiba website doesn't recognize my hard drive's serial number and P/N

I bought my Toshiba Canvio Basics 3.0 hard drive from Amazon a little under two months ago. The hard drive stopped working for some reason (I didn't drop it or anything, it just stopped working).
I was of course trying to use my warranty to fix it or exchange it, but the Toshiba website doesn't recognize my serial number and product number. They're right there, black and white on the sticker on the back of my hard drive, but the website says they're invalid.
Anyone has any clue what's going on? I'd rather not throw 50 euros out the window for less than two months of use.
Product number is HDTB105XK3AA -- and not HDTB105*E*K3AA as some websites say (including Amazon).

Just adding to the above comments, I have a simialr issue. bought a 3gb drive from amazon and now 8 months later it has just stopped working (wont power up at all) again it has just sat new to my computer working fine for the last 8 months and has now just stopped.
I contacted amazon and got this reply from the seller:

ArrayDeque as a stack doesn't work as expected with complex objects

Trying to use ArrayDeque as a strorage for complex values <PSList<PSol>> (i.e. Arraylists of structured Values PSol), this doesn't work as expected. The code below should produce different values of pSLWk, being stored on bkStack, which are then to be retrieved by pop() to the variables pSL1, pSL2, pSL3.
However, retrieval only ends up with three identical data sets (variables) pS1,pS2, pS3.

Secondly, I don't really see what you mean by pointing out to 'only one "pSLWk" instance of PSList'. The variable pSLWk is the variable to be worked upon; after some change of the contents, I want to save this state of contents to the stack. When I pop that variable from the stack, I wouldn't want to restore it to pSLWK, but to some other variable, e.g. by public PSList<PSol> pSL1;
pSL1=new PSList<PSol>(bkStack.pop());Again - to my understanding (which comes from old days of microprocessor coding... - there shouldn't be a need to know how the data came there, or what was the name of the variable who stored it there. And : the implementation of ArrayDeque returns 'elements' of class E, not references !
Thirdly, you're right, that the method of using a copy constructor for retrieval looks 'weird'. However - I had some other versions that didn't work either, e.g. the straightforward one, as I pointed out.
And fourthly: yes, I'm almost sure that I'm messing up something somewhere. I went to this forum hoping to clarify that ... :)
If you don't mind, could you please sketch a few lines of code, how to 'push' a complex variable to a ArrayDeque stack, and retrieve it - by 'pop()' - to some to other variable of the same class later ?
Might make our discussion much easier, to see how things REALLY work.

ALV doesn't sort as expected.

I created sorting rules for two columns, document number and date. Each different date of a certain document constitutes a line in ALV. I used the following code to set the rules. However, the ALV doesn't sort as expected.

The above code used for sorting should work as you expected.But I suspect that the sort logic of field 'AUFNR' is not executing / not reaching. Check the column name of HEADER1 column. It might be something else.
To make sure: check in debugging that the logic of AUFNR field gets reached.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you had a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) then you would get the reset link on your account - if you aren't getting the link then you don't have one, and you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions, you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

I just got an iPad 2 and want to get swtiched over to iCloud, but will wait if it will make my website inaccessible.

Your iDisk, together with your website and Gallery if you have one, will be unaffected and will continue exactly as before after you migrate to iCloud.
The migration process will probably log you out of MobileMe so you may need to go to System Preferences>MobileMe and log back in to be able to access your iDisk in the Finder. Web access will be unaffected.
You will need Lion 10.7.2 on your iMac.

A particular website doesn't work

http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/ has not been working for me for three days. However, other people have said that it works just fine for them. Every time I try to load this website, it tells me this:
Safari can’t open the page “http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.
There are several other things I must say.
1: I am certain that this is the proper URL, and that the URL has not changed.
2: I have tried other pages of this website, such as http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-crit ic and still, none of them work.
3: I don't have any way to contact the admin of the site, since, after all, I can't get TO the site.
4: I have tried to log in with Internet Explorer as well. Still tells me the same basic thing: "Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to thatguywiththeglasses.com"
5: I have gone to the other computer in my house and tried it, with the same results.
6: I have erased all my Safari cookies, the cache, history, downloads, I reset everything multiple times. Same results.
7: I have never, ever had this kind of problem where a particular website doesn't work, but apparently only for me at the same time.
My question is: What is happening, and what can I do to fix it?

I'm having the same problem with my own website. All day today it's been alternating between loading correctly, and displaying an error message that says:
"Safari can’t open the page “http: //www. mydomain.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding."
It works for about 45 minutes, then doesn't work for 15 or 20 minutes.
Yet the techs at my hosting provider say they can view the site.
The same thing happens with other computers in the house (not just mine), and when I try to load the page in Firefox, it doesn't work either.
Somehow I don't believe it's related to Safari.
I'd love to hear if anyone else has any ideas about what generally causes such error messages.

Toshiba website doesn't recognize my serial number of Satellite A215-S7428

Odd issue. Toshiba website doesn't recognize my serial number. Has anyone encounted that? I assume alpha characters are upper case. Serial number is 9 characters long with alpha characters at either end of string.

The Satellite A215-S7428 seems to be designed for the US market and if you need any information, drivers, tools or want to register the warranty then you should use the Toshiba US website!!!!

We worked out my problem. My solution turned out to be: Firefox Preferences/Applications. Scroll down until you find "Portable Document Format (application)", click on it and use the dropdown menu to the right and changed "Save file" to "Use Adobe Acrobat Pro (default). I had trouble at first finding if the listing was under Adobe, Acrobat, or what so I used the search feature and found it immediately.

RoboHelp 6 - after publishing website doesn't update

I have on Robohelp Test server running "demoSite" website. I
checked IIS and it's up and running. I have a test project and I'm
trying to update the "demoSite" web site - using the publish
process in RoboHTML. The publishing process is successful and I
also know that the destination site is also targeted correctly.
Any idea why the content on the demoSite is not updating?
PS: I have also checked RoboHelp Server Configuration Manager
and the demoSite seems to setup correctly there as well.
