Website security certificate/ Adobe flashplayer install crash

My computer is on the fritz. I am having problems entering websites due to expired website security certificates. A window will also pop up saying that Adobe flahplayer Update Service 11.6 R602 has stopped working. I tried to download the latest version hoping to fix whatever problem it is and is and the download crashes saying Actionlist not found. Sound familiar?

I have an older Dell with Windows Vista and we use Internet Explorer. Thank you for your interest and response

I cannot print off certificates that I need all it does when I attempt to print the certificate is that it shows that it is loading and comes back and tells me there was an error in loading the information. Hi there @wareagle04
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.
I understand that you are seeing a problem with your security certificate for access to Facebook. For this sort of problem I would recommend contacting your ISP directly. (contacting Facebook is also an option, you can search for contact information if they need to get involved)
The problem could be related to your settings from the ISP or something on their end, or possibly the hardware.

  • My URL is not opening in browser! - Website security certificate

    Hello
I am developing an Adobe Interactibve form from webdynpro ABAP.
I got an 'http' URL, created by SAP in my webdynpro application, so, when i copied it and pasted on a brand new explorer browser (already i am logged into our company INTRANET network), am getting the below issue,
There is a problem with this website's security certificate.
The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.
Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.
We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website.
Click here to close this webpage.
Continue to this website (not recommended).
Pls. let me know, how can get to go smoothly to open my URL in a browser?

    Hi,
    you can:
    - ask the Basis team to install a valid SSL certificate
    - add the current server certificate to the trusted certificates of your browser
    - instead of using HTTPS switch to HTTP
    - click on "Continue to this website"

  • Cannot access common websites security certificate not trusted

I am unable to get to many frequently accessed websites from either Chrome or Safari due to Security Certificate Trust issues. I have been attempting to access Paypal all afternoon without success, as there is no "Proceed anyway" button. I was only able to reach this forum by selecting "Proceed anyway"(!) Other machines on my local network accessing the web via UVerse are not having difficulties, so it seems to be Mavericks specific.

    This solved my problem:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/18508863#18508863
I solved this on my wife's computer by resetting the security certificate settings.  This might help others:
    Close all windows.
Keychain Access ->  click on System Roots on the left, and then click on Certifcates on the bottom left.
Check to see if any of the certificates on the right have the blue "+" symbol - this means they have custom trust settings.
There is a bug in changing the policies, so you'll have to change them via the method below.  Changing them just by changing the access to "system defaults" doesn't seem to save.  The method below worked for me.
Double-click on each certificate with the custom setting (blue "+"), expand the section labled "trust".  Change the "Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)" setting to "no value specified".  Close window - you should be prompted for the password.  Double-click on the certificate again, expand trust, change the "When using this certificate" setting to "Use System Defaults".  Close window, and re-enter password.
If you didn't re-enter your password upon closing the window, the setting didn't take.  The blue "+" should disappear after a few seconds when it's set back to default.  Once all of the certificates are changed back to default, restart Safari.
This solved all of the problems for my wife's computer with these issues and OSX 10.7.4

  • Adobe Flashplayer Keeps Crashing in Foxfire.  How do I fix it?

I recently changed to Mozilla Foxfire from IE.  Now Flashplayer keeps crashing; I've reloaded it several times, but it crashes several times a day.

    Download the following:
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
    Flash Player Uninstaller
    Also, download these:
    Shockwave Player Uninstaller
Shockwave Player 12 FULL installer (ther browsers)
Save all the files and close your browser.
Run the uninstallers first (both of them)
    Go to: C/Windows/System32
    Delete the Macromed folder.
    Go to: C/Windows/SysWOW64
    Delete the Macromed folder.
Open your Registry Editor (Start>Run or press the Windows key + R and type 'regedit' [minus the quotes] and click OK)
In the Registry Editor, go to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE
Delete the Macromedia folder (Right click and choose "Delete").
    Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software and delete the Macromedia folder there too.
Close the Registry Editor and empty your recycle bin.
Run the Flash Player installer, and then the Shockwave FULL installer you downloaded.
If it still crashes afert that, try:
Launching Firefox with addons disabled (From the menu - Help>Restart with Add-ons disabled)
    worst case:
Resetting Firefox (From the Menu - Help>Troubleshooting information  and click "Reset Firefox")

  • Adobe FlashPlayer Plugin Crash since yesterday "unknown software exception"

    Hello.
Since yesterday i become following message all the time. Reinstallations doesn't work. Only thing that's changed is a new Firefox version.

Usually when something major breaks after an update, we'll get a flood of hundreds of complaints.  I'm not seeing a big spike in error reporting or forum volume, so I'm thinking that the problem is more isolated.
Please reboot your computer and see if the problem persists.  This will eliminate the possibility that you have a process from the old version of Firefox still in memory.
If you continue to experience the crashing after the reboot, please do the following:
In the Firefox address bar, type about:crashes:
You will see one or more links that are hashes of upper-case letters and numbers.
Click each one, and it will take you to a crash log page.
Once the link has been submitted, the name of the link will change to start with "bp-....".
Right click each submitted link and choose Copy Link Location
Paste the links into a reply.  I'll be happy to look at them.
    Thanks!

  • Adobe Flashplayer install

The installation wizard is asking me to close a program that I can't find where it's open? What can I do to complete the install? It asked me to close two programs. Internet Explorer which was indeed open in another window. I did close it, then it asked me to close the Smileboxtray which I can't find   .Any and all suggestions welcome.

Pat: Thank you so much for your reply.I do have a few questions about following the instructions for closing Internet Explorer and Smilebox tray so that I may complete the install of flash Player in Internet Explorer. If I click on end process for IE and Smilebox Tray In Windows Task Manager will that disable the programs after the install of Flash Player or will they still be functional afterwards? Also I may not need to do any of this as I have since learned that I already have the latest version of Flash Player installed with Google Chrome. It just don't work when I'm browsing in IE. If I were to try and install it anyways would there be a conflict?

  • Adobe Muse keeps crashing every time I publish any website all of a sudden

Adobe Muse keeps crashing every time I publish any website all of a sudden. Not just for the website I was working on but now all my websites. It was working perfectly fine and when I hit publish it just crashes. I have multiple copies and different websites and they are all crashing when I try to publish. It seems like it is not an error for just the one website I was working on but the entire program is not functioning correctly. Here's a screen shot of the error.

Mac or Windows? What's the error that appears? If it's an Apple Crash Report, please copy/paste the first few pages of it here.
I strongly recommend against it (for multiple reasons below) but if you uninstall Muse, then go to the Creative Cloud Desktop App, and choose "Previous Version" in the Find New Apps section there will be a dropdown arrow next to the Install button. That dropdown will list all versions of Muse.
If you've saved over top your existing file using the current version, reverting Muse won't work, since older versions cannot open files saved from newer versions. If you've don't significant work in the current version, that will be lost because you'll have to go back to the file as last saved using the prior version of Muse. Finally, there's a significant probability that error/crash is related to content in the file, network configuration, or other outside forces and if that's the case reverting won't avoid the error/crash.
If you share more info about what error you're encountering, I expect we can determine a workaround/solution.

  • Can someone please help me.. Everytime I try to view a website a Security Certificate warning comes up. The MACBook i use is 4 years old but it should work shouldnt it

  • Problem installing Adobe Flashplayer

    Hello.
    I am on Macbook 10.6.8
I am unable to watch videos on YouTube as apparently I don't have Adobe flash player installed (I don't know why this has happened now as I have not had a problem viewing videos on youtube for the past few years).
So I have been to the Adobe flashplayer website and downloaded the most recent version and installed it. Once the installation process is complete it quite literally does nothing. The installation manager says the installation is complete and has been succesful, but I cannot find it on the computer and I still cannot watch videos.
I have tried to follow the troubleshooting tips on the adobe flashplayer site - but this has got me perplexed!
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Two bugs, one affecting Apple's Mac platform and another attacking Microsoft's Windows, exploit certain Flash player vulnerabilities to install malware onto users' systems, reports ArsTechnica. While users of other operating systems like Linux have yet to report attacks, Adobe's advisory notes the exploit affects all platforms.
Designated as CVE-2013-0634, the first vulnerability targets the Safari and Firefox Web browsers running on OS X, and is also being used as a trojan to deploy Microsoft Word documents containing malware. For Mac users, the flaw affects Adobe Flash Player version 11.5.502.146 or earlier.
On March 1 Apple again blocked Flash Player for Lion and Mountain Lion:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5660
The Adobe Flash patch can be found on Adobe’s website, and users can visit this page to check if their software is the most curent version.
You should uninstall any previous version first, and repair permissions after installing the new version.
If you still get a ‘plug-ins blocked’ message:
