Website Storage Settings Manager

I can't access my Website storage settings manager. I am thinking one of my kids messed this up somehow.... My old FB games are just not opening at all, but new ones will work. I can't access the Local storage because the game won't load at all, so there is no image to click on. When I go to the Website storage settings manager, it says I need flash to view the magager -  ooooookaaaay. when i click on install (which I know I don't need cause I have a Chromebook) it says I don't need it cause I have a chromebook. Ooooookaayyyy. ??????

I came here looking for an answer to that same question.  I'm running Windows XP HE, 32-bit, using google chrome browser.  Would love to see someone help with this.

  • How does Website Storage Settings Panel work?

I was trying to play a game on facebook and was having trouble. Facebook gave me the link here to the Website Storage Settings Panel
and told me to delete all sites. When I get the page the website storage
settings  panel is flickering. I never see any sites pop up. It just flickers like maybe it's getting the list of sites.
I had it on for 2 hours last night and nothing ever popped up. Just kept flickering. I have never used this before and my computer is 7 years
old. Is it just going to take a real long time for it to load all the sites or is it not working for me?

  • Website Storage Settings Panel generates script error message

I am using Chrome, XP sp3 and the latest flash 11.1.102.55
When I click on the Website Storage Settings Panel here:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.htm l
the panel starts loading but after a few seconds I get a pop up with the following message:
A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash player to sun slowly.  If it continutes to run, your computer may become unresponsive.  Do you want to abort the script? Y\N
Actually, all the settings panels do the same, but I discovered it while attempting to use the above.
Aborting the script causes the Panel box to go crazy, with it running like a very fast movie through many different looks and nothing is able to be clicked on.
Not aborting the script causes my computer to become unresponsive as warned.
I have cleared the cache before doing this.
Same thing happens in Firefox - which I use when Chrome doesn't work.
Same thing happens in IE - which I do not use.
No idea what to do - definitely welcome suggestions!!!!
    Thank you.

  • Issue with website Storage Settings panel

    Hi
I have an issue with the Website Storage Settings panel. I want to increase the storage settings but the bar always resets when I reload the page.
I only seemed to have this issue after I updated to the latest software. Any help?

You don't specify your operating system.  On Windows, try deleting the 'Flash Player' folders in %APPDATA%\Adobe and %APDATA%\Macromedia
No browser window must be active when you do that.

  • Can some companies can go around the flash global/website storage settings?

    Hi,
I've experienced this a few times: I've been visiting a website and a Lysol or Spray and Wash ad appears in a flash window and starts to play. I've noticed that it really slows down my older computer, and check (each time) the global and website storage settings on the Adobe site.
What I've see is that it's:
    - from "TV2N"; when I click on it it goes to the website http://www.jdproject.com/
    - when I click on settings I see that the flash settings allow 10K to be stored locally on my computer by "m1.2mdn.net"
I've attached two *.jpegs as evidence of what I'm talking about.
I find this very strange since I've adjusted both my global/website settings to not allow any information to be stored on my computer. So my question is: are some companies going around a users global/website storage settings for the flash player?
Thanks for your time and help.
    Kevin

Does anyone know? Additionally, any insight into how I can get companies to NOT ignore my personal settings would be good.

  • Website storage settings not working

I have Flash Player 10. When I go to "website storage settings" and drag the slider up, then close and go back in it will still be at none as if I'd never done anything. Also if I try to check either box they stay unchecked and give me a dialogue box asking that I want them to stay unchecked. I think that these frozen settings are the reason that I can't get a large chunk of video streaming sites to work. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

  • Website Storage Settings Panel

I have been changing the settings for the website storage and global storage settings panel. Now some things like flash games and some video don't work. I have tried to change the settings back but can't get them to take. I tried to uninstall and reinstall flash 10 but still I can't get it to change back. Is there a way to get this back to default setting?

    Try the following
    close all browser windows
    open Windows Explorer
in the address bar type %appdata%\Adobe
delete the 'Flash Player' folder in there
in the address bar type %appdata%\Macromedia
delete the 'Flash Player' folder in there
close Windows Explorer, then try again

  • Website Storage Manager gives no websites

Lately the webadres for all settingsmanagers was changed from macromedia to Adobe.
Since that change no visited websites are visible in the Website Storage Settings panel ( http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html ).
Does this mean that the flaschcache now is emptied automatically or is there a faulty link because of which the flashcache cannot be reached for some housecleaning?
Or perhaps something else is the matter?

  • Trying to access Flash Player Settings Manager always asks to install but I already have it installe

I am trying to access Flash player website settings manager.  I link from a browser to the settings manager but instead of a panel there is a download required to get latest Flash Player which I already have.  I download it successfully. Windows 7 control panel has Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX 64-bit. When I link again, I get the same message to download flash player as if I never did it before.  What am I missing? There is also Flash Player (32-bit) icon that invokes Flash Player settings manager. Is this the best I can do to get the website storage settings?  My ultimate goal is to remove Flash player cookies which I learned about today to be a problem. Thanks.

I have no idea what you are talking about.  Just at what site are you getting this message to download instead of the settings panel?
My ultimate goal is to remove Flash player cookies which I learned about today to be a problem. Thanks.
If you want to temporarily remove Flash Player LSO's(cookies), just delete the browser's temporary files.  If you want to permanently remove LSO's, go to your control panel and activate the Flash Player Settings Manager.  Change the Local Storage Settings to Block all sites from storing information on this computer.  However, most sites with Flash Player videos will not work with this setting.

  • Can't see the Global Settings Manager !

    Hi,
I can't see the Global Settings Manager here: Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel
I have a message 'this content requires Flash'.
My OS: Vista Business 32 bits
    Flash player installed : 14.0.0.145
    Browser: Firefox 31 (latest version)
Let me know how can I fix this issue, please.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Pat,
    Sorry for the delay time.
I found the culprit, a firefox add-ons that consider the Global Settings Manager as an adv.
May I ask you here another issue that I have with Flash while viewing movies ?

  • Local Storage settings are cleared when workstation is restarted

When setting the permission to store information on the local computer, the settings are working (it only asks the LSO question once), bu then is being cleared after the workstation is restarted, even though the server is entered into the Website Storage Settings at the url below.  When the workstation is restarted, the server no longer exists in the list.  Does anyone possibly know why it is being removed when restarting?
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.htm l

I can think of couple of things
1, if customer is using private mode, exiting browser will clear out  everything.
This point may not be valid if it happens only after server restart.
2, settings are stored under flash directory structure, ( not browser cache directory structure), so if for any reason
Server restart deletes this directory , flash will create directory again,  when visiting  sites.
It will be interesting to see directories before restart ( if it is there) and after restart if it is there or not.
directory location for flash settings storage  will be different depending on OS platform.
3, the settings link  in this email is older version of help .   New settings is different .
So if there is a mix up in usage, I cannot say anything.
I can take a look at it if I know more about system, browser , flash plugin etc.

  • Player Settings Menu Intermittently Does Not Work / Settings Manager Crashes - Firefox 6.0/Windows 7

    1)  I occasionally have a problematic issue with the Flash Player Settings menu, primarily with SocialVibe (media.socialvi.be) applications associated with FarmVille, activities such as video quizzes and interactive surveys.  Sometimes after loading these applications, the Player Settings menu opens requesting permission for local storage space changes, however I am unable to left-click on anything at all within the Player Settings menu: Allow/Deny the requested change, manual storage setting adjustment, switching tabs within the menu, or (particularly frustrating) to close the menu.  Usually if the Player Settings menu requests a local storage change, I can select my preference and it works properly.
When the Player Settings menu opens and is non-functional, the application will still run in the background, seemingly without issue, but is inaccessible because the Player Settings menu is active.  I have tried closing/refreshing the application, but the menu still remains unusable.  Many times there are several activities offered one right after another.  When one is completed, the link refreshes and a new application becomes available.  Each application is unique and only available for a very limited time.  The inability to make changes or close the Player Settings menu effectively blocks these activities from being completed.  Since I cannot complete the activity, the link for itwill not refresh, so I am stuck with an application where the Player Settings menu will not function properly and I have no opportunities for new activities.
Interestingly, when the Player Settings menu is oblivious to left-clicking with the mouse, I am able to select the options of Allow/Deny/Close by using the tab key on the keyboard to highlight the appropriate button, however pressing enter does nothing.  I can also right-click with the mouse and access the menu for Settings/Global Settings/About, which works properly.  In this menu, when I choose Settings, it takes me to the Local Storage tab of the Player Settings menu, however I am still unable to make any changes, switch tabs or close the menu.  When I choose About, it will load the Flash Player webpage and it does tell me that I have the most current version (10,3,183,5) successfully installed.  When I choose Global Settings, it will open the Flash Player Settings Manager, which I am able to navigate and modify (mostly, related issue below).
    2)  I also have an issue with the Flash Player Settings Manager.  When I try to open the Local Storage Settings by Site, the Settings Manager will usually crash.  It crashes whether I open the Settings Manager from the Player Settings right-click menu or through the Windows Control Panel.  I had originally assumed that there must be so many websites listed that want storage permissions that it takes a while to load, but until this evening it had never loaded successfully and would go unresponsive almost immediately.  This evening I attempted to access the Local Storage Settings by Site many times, crashing and restarting the Settings Manager, until it finally loaded.
In the Local Storage Settings by Site, media.socialvi.be (SocialVibe) is shown as having 0kb Storage Used and Ask Me under Storage Settings.  Because every application from SocialVibe is different, I want Flash to ask me each time it wants to change the storage settings, so I do not want to set its permission to Allow.  From reading through the Flash troubleshooting webpages, I understand that choosing Block may cause the applications to not run correctly, and I do want them to run properly.  The local storage request from media.socialvi.be was 5kb as shown in the Player Settings menu (that wasn't working), so if the Player Settings menu is not functioning and I must allow some level of storage, is there a way that I can specify how much to allow using the Settings Manager without setting the permission to Allow?  I do not feel that websites should be able to store as much information as they see fit on my machine, and as I want to keep as much advertisement information, tracking, cookies, etc. off my computer as possible, setting the permission to Allow seems to be a risky permission.
