Website viewed in Safari - music plays twice - can anybody suggest a fix
I have a website for a client that works perfectly when viewed in IE and Firefox on pc and mac but has problems in safari.

I dont normally use frames on sites but as the client, who is a musician, wanted music to play in the background across all pages, I placed an XSPF player with a playlist in a navigation frame and the contents of the site in a separate frame below.
The player is set to start automatically the frames page is loaded.
When viewed in IE and in Firefox the music starts perfectly and the controls work without any problems.
When viewed in Safari (on both pc and mac) the music plays twice with a fraction of a second apart. It is possible to stop one version by using the control on the player, but the second one continues and you cannot stop it.
If I look at just the navigation frame in Safari only one version is played, the problem comes when the content frame is loaded.

So the problem seems to be with the frames and not with the player.
Could anybody suggest a fix to this problem

when I go to try and view the website, Safari or any other browser I try cannot find the web page.
Most likely you are not using the correct address for the site. If you are using MobileMe, it should be http://web.me.com/username
If you are using some other server, tell us the url and how exactly you uploaded it.

When I first play music on itunes, there weren't any problems at all. Once my CPU usage goes up (like when i play a game) the music plays twice as fast and theres a crackling every second (1 second music then 1 second crackling noise ). Once I lower my cpu usage, the music returns back to normal.
I didnt have this problem with the previous version of itunes though.

As opposed to Jagged_Link, however, I am always getting this problem. I have a very fast dual core computer Athlon 64 x2 4400 with 4 GBs of Ram so I don't think that a performace issue is the source of this problem, but I do have many other applications running at the same time (azureus, firefox, beyondTV). This was never an issue with the old version and I think that the problem might have to do with the gapless playback analytics (a problem with the process, perhaps). I will try eliminating all apps other than iTunes to see if there is a change.
By the way, a repair of iTunes, using the original installation file, did not change my situation. I only use MP3s (no AAC) and it be helpful if the other posters can provide this info as well, so that the problem can be identified better.

My mac is becoming too slow. It takes long to open word documents, pdf files or excel documents or even safari. Can anybody suggest something? I have tried to reduce the number of open applications, but does not seem to work.

Checked to see how much free space there is on the startup disk lately?
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

If disk space is not the issue, booting in Safe Mode deletes system caches that may help.
A Safe Mode boot takes longer then a normal boot so be patient.
Once you see the Desktop, click the Apple menu icon top left corner of the screen.
From the drop down menu click Restart.
See if that makes a difference ... -

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>Safri and Clear History and Cleal Cookies and Data
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

A whole bunch of my songs on my MacBook iTunes haven't synched over to my iPhone? I have only selected certain albums to synch so I know it isn't a space issue. Can anybody suggest anything?
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

My IPad cannot download live Tv from skygo. I have no problem with my lap top so I assume the broad band is okay. Can anybody suggest why the live streaming will not work on my iPad .
Are you using the Sky Go app to try and watch it ? If so are you logged in with your Sky account ?
If you are using the app then you could try closing the app completely and see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Sky Go 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Sky Go app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

Can anybody suggest a fill or method that will illustrate an acreage of trees as seen from the air, i.e., about 500-ft. up?
In addition to what Jacob suggested, you could:
1) Make or find several suitable trees. Make symbols of them. Place, size and distort as desired.
2) Find a suitable aerial photo (or photos) and try Object > Live Trace to make it vector.
It all depends on the effect (and amount of realism) you are trying to achieve. If you could post a screenshot of something similar to what you want, we could give more directed suggestions.

Strange problem Can anybody suggest me what is wrong
I developed a swing standalone application which read data from linux server hard drive which is mounted on windows PC to do a graphics plot. It is strange that reading a file from linux drive from application running on windows PC takes long time probably 30 sec to 45 sec(the file size is 45 mb) and our LAN bandwidth is 100mbps. But the strange bit is when I run the same application on a linux drive which mounts linux server hard drive it reads the data very quickly probably in a sec or two. Can any body suggest whats might be the problem. Urgent
Hey the application works quicker when I copy the file to windows local drive. But my requirement is such I need to access file on the mounted drive. I am doubting whether java introduces any network speed latency when it communicates through windows to mounted drive. IS there any probvlem with java i/o. Else can anyone suggest why Java applciation runing on linux OS which mounted the server(sambha) hard disk in similar fasion?
