Websites i have not visited appear on my history. How do i detect someone else jumping on my wireless?
I have found websites i have not visited appear on my browsing history.
At first they look like pop-ups (because they're for online poker and porn) but actually they are visited websites.
I'm using Firefox on my iMac with a password-enabled wireless connection. Since turning on my firewall the problem's gone away but that's causing havoc with my bluetooth stuff.
Apple told me that because I route my PS3's internet through my mac, all bets are off - but i want to find the clown(s) who's been jumping on my wireless for free. My ISP is useless - the only advice they can give is that i change my password...
Anyone got any ideas? any downloadable progs which could recognise computers trying to join my network?

1. By default in WinXP installations of Firefox, the Menu Bar is showing with the Bookmarks word menu-item - the Bookmarks '''button''' appears when the user hides the Menu bar by clicking on View > Toolbars, then clicking on the Menu Bar menu-item to remove the check-mark.

My daughter had completed a chart in pages. I saved it and then clicked on other chart types. Now I can't go back to the original chart she made even though I have not re-saved the file. How can I go back to her original chart with data?

I bough a new laptop and my itunes have not dowloaded to the laptop. How do I fix this?
Your library will only be on your new computer's iTunes if you copy it to it.
If you still have your old computer then you can copy it from that : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Or from your backup of your downloads/library (File > Add To Library).
If you don't have your old computer or a backup then you might (depending upon the country that you are in and if they music is still in your country's store) tbe able to redownload some/all of your past putchases via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your laptop's iTunes -

I downloaded photos from my MacBook to my new iPhone4S. I discovered several duplicates and would like to delete them. I have not been able to figure out how to do so. Please help?
Thanks for your reply. Although I haven't tried yet, I think I will be able to use the photos on my phone, which have been paired, to find the dups in iPhoto and delete them there. Previously it was very difficult to search for and find the duplicates on the computer. Now I should be able to use the paired photos on the iPhone to find and delete the dups on the computer. Then I will sync the phone again. I think that should work; I hope you agree.

I have an iphone 4 and downloaded my first movie (hd) onto my PC (windows 7) I have not been able to figure out how to transfer the move to my iphone. The movie is in a new tab called "rented" not under the "movie" tab. All of the support I have read talks about the movie being in the "movies" tab. I cannot use the "move" function or the "transfer" function because they are not available. Is this an issue because I just updated to the newest software?
In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi. -
For anyone who has used "Smilebox" for greeting cards: I can take video made in Photo Booth and use in my Smilebox greetings and I can use photos from iPhoto to use there also. I have not been able to figure out how to take clips from iMovie for use with Smilebox.

my wireless mouse is not working at all. I have changed the batteries and still nothing, not even a flashing green light. I am using someone else's computer to ask these questions as I now can't use mine. Help!!!
I just had the same problem. And I found the solution, on Youtube.
The problem is that these ******** at apple designed the battery compartement, the distance between metal contacts too big.
That means the batteries plus or minus poles are not touching the corresponding contacts in the mouses battery compartement.
Most likely the battery doesn't get pushed up to touch the plus contacts.
I used a fingernail to push the battery up and tadaa, the green LED came on.
The guy in the Youtube video just put some folded aluminium foil under the minus poles for bridging the gap.

I want to know if I can use my iCould storage simply to back up files. If so, I have not been able to figure out how.
Currently, only Apple apps (Pages, Numbers, etc.) can back up
data to iCloud. There is no way to use it to just simply backup any files.
There are some workarounds to get some data stored.
PDFs and any other document that can be read by Preview
can be backed up in iCloud. Load the document into Preview,
select Export..., click on the directory dropdown, then select
iCloud as destination. Not a drag and drop solution or an
all encompassing method, but you can get some stuff saved. -

Classroom scenario: We have Apple TVs in classrooms. If a teacher is using the Apple TV to display their device & forgets to disconnect, leaves the room . . . next teacher comes in . . . if they still see the other device being mirrored they can kick them off by pressing the menu button on the remote. However, when they then try to connect, they get the "In use by someone else" message. Only solution we've found then is to restart the Apple TV. So, is this truly the only solution?

Safari is not connecting to internet on my iPad. Says "could not open the page becuase the server stopped responding." Everything else that updates over wireless connection is working fine. Get same response on any site I try to visit. Need Help!

Today, I sudden noticed that most of the website I usually visited have a random links on some keyword. Here is the quick screenshot:
The links goes to other site (It called CouponDropDown or something). It really annoying me because I know that the links shouldn't be there. Most of the site I have been visited before it occured does not have that links at all.
I was wondering if my computer have been hacked? If you know how to fix the issue, please let me know soon and I hope it won't bring more damage to my computer :/

ChristieI don't know how it was installed, or how to uninstall it. I've never heard of it before, and I can't find it on the developer's website. Possibly it's a Safari extension. Select Safari > Preferences > Extensions from the menu bar and see what you have.
To avoid such problems in the future, be very careful of what you click on. Never let anyone else use your computer when it's logged in to your account. -
For days now every time I exit Firefox a questionnaire from Monterey Bay shows up on my screen. I don't want to fill it out. I want it to go away!
Then it simply was NOT Brand New. Doesn't matter what the box looked like when you got it or if you went through the setup pages when you first turned it on. If it is registered to some other Apple ID then someone else had originally registered it and locked it to there ID.
Type in the serial number of the system into this page.

And see when it was originally registered.
Then send it back to Amazon as Used.
