Websites jumbled up after update - help?

hi
I updated to safari 6.0.5, and now ebay and other sites not displaying correctly, they are not aligned, picture don't display correctly. iTunes is the same, neither of the movie or music preview artwork is showing.
i tried the other browsers, chorme, firefox, the same problem is happening with them.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in <u>[[Safe mode]]</u>:
* Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)

Can I learn what help text is updated after Update-Help ?

After Update-Help is executed is there any way to learn what help text has been changed?

No websites will load after update, including google, I have tried all recommendation provided by Firefox.

It seem that while updating to Firefox 28 from 27, my computer was unplugged. After it restarted, Firefox seem fine, but no websites would load only on Firefox. I have tried removing Firefox completely, including registry files then re-installing. I added Firefox to my firewall and antivirus. It worked prior to the update, but I'm also concerned if the loss of power while updating screwed it up. I pasted the Firefox log below:

*Folders on Desktop Gone After Update *HELP*

I just did the Updates the Software Updater Recommended and after they were finished downloading I restarted my computer.
When my computer started back up all the folders and such that were on my desktop were no longer there. I can still find them through the Finder, so they are still on my Hard Drive. I just enjoyed having them on my desktop, and want to get them back their, and let other mac useres aware of the problem.
I am going to try to find a history of my updates to diagnose the problem, let me know how I can do that if its possible.
If anyone else has had this problem let me know what I can do.

Also I took a screen shot of the updates I've done to look at while I typed this up, and usually these go straight to the desktop when you make them, but his one didn't, however it could still could found through the finder.
ALSO, I tried dragging folders out of my finder window onto the desktop and nothing happened.
Why won't anything go on my desktop???

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Websites look wrong after update to FF6

Typography of the website changes after the update to 6. No problem what so ever with IE or Safari. Also not with the 3.x version of FF

Any particular reason that you are rendering back to DVCPro HD? That's a non square pixel format designed for cameras not delivery of product, it is not suitable for DI (digital intermediates) or delivery to anything standard. I would do all my work in a standard HD 1920 X 1080 comp and render my DI and Delivery product to that frame size. AE will automatically adjust your DVCPro HD footage.
The only reason that I can think of to render to DVCProHD is to copy your footage back to tape or to storage cards to playback on a camera or DVCProHD deck, but if you have a capture card that you are using to output to tape, and I see you do, then your system will work with standard HD files just fine.
As far as the QT wrapper being broken, if you must render back to DVCPro HD the try the Adobe Media Encoder. It does a better job compressing things than the Render Cue.
As a last thought, do what Szalam suggestes, update.

I went on updating my phone but then everything got stuck
Several times the program said that it couldn't find my phone(???) and when it did found my phone he kept saying 14 minutes remaining but after 3/4 hours of waiting the status remained the same(???) I know you shouldn't take out the usb-kabel but it left me no choice cause nothing was working. But now my phone doesn't react anymore when I try to turn it on..I self think it just needs to be reset but is that possible or do I realy need to send it to Nokia?

This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working. Turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button.
re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.
you can try the last code, the three finger flash. if that does not work, you will have to send it to Nokia for repair. Beyond flash there is nothing else that can be done at home.
you will lose your data, but i guess at this point you just want your phone to work. try that and if nothing happens then you know what to do.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
Do they show now?
Do a Get Info on the Applications folder, what rights does it report?

Repost - Website Download problems after update download

Hello,
This is likely something simple but I have not found the solution yet. A couple of nights ago, the system update indicator popped up, so I downloaded some updates. Since then, some of my websites do not fully download and download with the quicktime symbol having a question mark in the middle. Very few animated portions of websites come up, no interactive areas (surveys, etc) and many pictures do not appear.
What is the solution?

• Mac OS X.4.1 (as You writted at page-foot) - I would use X.4.10
• QuickTime version ? ? 7.? ?
• Apple DVD-player version ? v4.0 ?
b. Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows:
Many possible origins. Most common:
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disc if it is less than 10Gb should raher have 25Gb
• Hard disc is untidy: Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disc (Apple Disc Util tool)

Trouble with Email after Update - Help - No Incoming Mail Server

I updated my iPad 2 to the new IOS 5 software and have been unable to use the mail function. I have tried deleting the account re-installing, turning on and off the iPad, etc. but it always prompts me with the same message;
The IMAP server, "apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered hte correct information int eh "Incoming Mail Server" field.
All the rest of the Network functions seem to be working correctly. One additional detail - for some reason it does not seem that the "Incoming Mail Server" field downloaded during the update because there are no options (or maybe I do not know how to get to it) on how to change the incoming mail server information. This is true for both my iPad and iPhone 4.
Any suggestions or help?

Apple TV won't turn on, respond, or appear in iTunes after update-Help!

The update didn't fully finish, I believe, and eventually I think the Apple TV turned off. Now it won't turn on on respond in any way.
I've tried plugging it into iTunes with micro USB, several times. Never shows up. It doesn't light up at all no matter waht i do... Whattt should I do?

Check that you have correctly followed the instructions for your model of Apple TV.
If not already, try using a powered USB port.
Repeat the process but this time try connecting the cable while iTunes is closed.
Repeat the process with another cable.
Try restoring the Apple TV on another computer in another location.

WRT110 works for every website except ONE after login, help please

I have a WRT110 version 1.0
It works for every website, except one. And it works for that one website just fine, until I login. When I enter my username/password it accepts it then redirects me to the companies landing page. I can see that because the URL loading changes and it shows the Title in the page which indicates it connected, but then it just sits there 'loading', in the status bar I see the message: "Waiting for tools.domain.com... to load" or something like that. and it takes like 5 to 10 minutes, no joke, then it loads.
If I connect my computer directly to the modem and bypass the router, then it loads just fine, very fast like everything else.
But then when I re-connect my router and refresh the page, it does it again, takes forever, but I can instanly see the title of the page in the title bar.
It works on every computer that I connect trough the mobile hotspot on my 4G verizon phone. but if it is through the router, every computer takes 5 to 10 minutes. Literrally.
Anyone have this happen to them? If so, how did you fix it?

Try the following settings:
# Open up the browser on the desktop and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page…
# Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page)
# Then click on Security tab disable SPI Firewall Protection, uncheck Filter Anonymous Internet Requests...
Now check the connectivity status.
