Websites that do not support safari:

A number of websites that +*I use*+ do not support safari. there is an overwheming number of websites that only support firefox on the mac.
+(please... I am not interested in comments that you have never had an issue, so please don't waste webspace)+
I am interested in replys to the following question:

1) When will all websites support safari ? !
2) Is there some industry standard that safari lacks to cause some sites to be 'usupported' or is
this an issue due to website owners who have incompatible servers-etc.?
Background:
The websites in question:
- lack some specific, various functionality in safari.
- not related to a plugin
- not related to a bad install\preference\etc\etc\etc
*- At these sites, the problems are explained by the webmasters (and FAQ's) that the loss of some functionality is due to NOT supporting safari*

1) When will all websites support safari ? !
better ask the webmasters, surely? In most cases, code that complies correctly with current standards, will work just fine on Safari.

In some cases, mostly say, files that download with an odd extension.... it's a webserver setting, but mostly it's that safari is not forgiving of dodgy coding & gives odd outcomes as a result, whereas, other browsers seem to try harder to allow for wesbite wrietes being less than perfect.
It's not exactly rocket-science to make a site that works fine with all browsers; but umm, some people seem to lose interest once they've made it work with IE and firefox.
