WebStart Proxy Problem

Hey guys,
i´ve got the following problem and it would be sooo great if you could help me:
i´ve got 2 apps which are launched over webstart. in webstart the network connection is set to a proxy. this setting is correct for app A. the other app B should ignore these setting and should go over a direct connection to the network.
now my question: how can i ignore the webstart settings for the proxy connection in my java app B, so that i can establish a direct connection?
many thanks for your help!!
greetz, iTob

Yep, the problem was with the location for the applications folder, for some reason it was different to the users profile folder.
I went into the web start application manager, then under preferences and advanced i checked that the applications folder location was correct and pointed to a valid folder.
Hope this helps
Alistair

No this will not help. Problem is not related to password I changed it and response is It might help, it's worth trying. Try this:

    # wget --proxy-user="xxx" --proxy-password="xxx" http://public-yum.oracle.com/repo/OracleLinux/OL6/1/base/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xmlIf that works, it is a yum problem. If it doesn't work, it's a proxy problem.Yes it works , interesting that user and password parameters not working with double quotes only with single.
I also checked this with YUM but YUM is having problem with passwords that starting
with "@" symbol. I try to set
    export http_proxy="http://username:\@$passwd@IP:PORT"
for ignoring "@" symbol but no sucess. With OEL5 this is not a problem. In /etc.yum.conf same username and same password.
Perhaps I should change my password :)
and last one thing in my home network I have OEL6.1 ( where fortunately with no proxy :) ) I try update linux with "yum update" command
and it returns that no packages to update , can you tell me why because there are new kernel avalable and I can download and install this new kernel with command "yum install kernel".

  • Proxy Problem The proxy server is refusing connections

I run Windows XP. I did have a Cybot backdoor Activity attack intercepted by Norton Internet Security and I used the Norton NPE to remove it from the computer. I do not know if this caused the proxy problem or not.
There is no proxy problem connecting to the internet through Internet Explorer just through Mozilla Firefox.
When Mozilla Firefox tries to connect to the internet I get the following message:
Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.
Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is
    working.
In Mozilla I click Tools, options, advanced, network, settings. Under settings Proxy is set on manual, it says that there is no proxy for the figures typed in.
So I click auto detect proxy and I then can connect to internet through Mozilla, however when I log out of the internet, the same proxy server issue is recreated.
What should the Proxy setting be?

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

  • Applet Database Proxy Problem

    Hello all,
I have an applet which connects to a MySQL database for user authentication. Currently I am doing on a local machine and all goes well and fine. But my problem is the same applet when accessed through a proxy the database connection wont happen. Can someone suggest a way to solve it. Or this problem is not solvable.
    Thank you
    joseph

Use http to do the authentication. Have the applet make a request to the authentication server by name (not by codebase, as this is probably the source of the proxy problem). On the authentication server, you can run a servlet or cgi or whatever to contact the db.

  • In the newest verion of Firefox did you fix the proxy problem?

  • Java Webstart application problem with TLS certificate revocation checks (Java 1.7.0_76)

We have a problem with our Java Web Start Application regarding the TLS certificate revocation check:
The application is running on a server within a wide area network which is separated from the internet.
The application users have access to the WAN, and also access to the internet over some corporate proxy/firewall.
The user has to enter, for example "https://my-site.de/myapp/ma.jnlp" within a webbrowser or could also call  "javaws https://my-site.de/myapp/ma.jnlp" to start the application client.
The webserver has a certificate from a trusted certificate authority. This certificate seems to be ok, the browser is even configured to perform OCSP status check.
The application files are signed with a certificate from another trusted certificate authority. This certificate seems also to be ok. Regarding this certificate there
are no problems with certificate revocation checks.
The problem is, while starting the application client there is a message box which tell us something like "the connection to this website ist not trustworthy",
"Website: https://my-site.de:80", and something about an invalid certificate, meaning the webserver certificate.
Obviously the jvm runtime, which is executed on the users workstation, tries to perform a revocation check for the webservers certificate, but this fails because
it cannot fetch the certificate under https://my-site.de:80.
The application will execute without further problems after that message but the users are very concerned about the "invalid" certificate, so here are my questions:
    - Why is the application trying to get the webserver certificate over Port 80. Our application developers told me, there is no corresponding statement. Calling this address
has to fail while "https://my-site.de:443" or "https://my-site.de" would not have a problem.
    - Is there a way to make the application go on without performing a tls revocation check? I mean, by adjusting the application sourcecode and not by configuring the users Java Control Panel.
While disabling the TLS Certificate Revocation check in the Java Control Panel, the Webstart Application executes without a warning message, but this is not a workable solution for
      our users.
It would be great if someone can help me with a hint so i can send our developers into the right direction;-)
    Many thanks!

  • Java webstart proxy bypass not working

java webstart does not work through proxy as the jar files is not getting downloaded. most simple solution would of course be to bypass the proxy for the target server (by entering the server in the system network preference panel). however, that does not work. apparently this bypass is not taken into account by java webstart.
if i remember correctly there once was a possibility to set such things (proxy etc.) in java webstart preferences. this is not existing any more.
how can i solve the problem?
    tia
    tobias (very desperate)

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for your reply, Prateek.
I have already checked SAP Note 1142580 - "Java Proxy is not processing messages in parallel" where they ask to modify the ejb-jar.xml. However, on performing the change in ejb-jar.xml and while building the EAR, I get the following error:
Error! The state of the source cache is INCONSISTENT for at least one of the request DCs. The build might produce incorrect results.
Then, on going through the SAP Note 1142580 again, I realised that the SAP Note 1230721 also should be looked onto which will be needed for generating the Java proxy from Message Interfaces in IR for parallel processing.
Kindly help me if any of you have worked on such a scenario.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Rosie Sasidharan.

  • I am getting a proxy problem when loading or a does not recognize problem

I find that my Firefox is VERY slow. And lately all I can get is a message about proxy server is refusing connection. I found out where I can change proxy server..but I click on "no proxy" hit OK and then it goes right back to saying that I have one! Today I kept getting a message about not being able to find mozilla...and said "they" do not know why.
I find that off and on I can get on line with Firefox..but then I cannot AGAIN. I am on line now, but not sure how much longer I will be able. Frustrating. I haven't done anything lately to computer except adding a new hard drive which was done way after the problems started! What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks for help

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

  • Proxy problems in 10.9 - anyone else?

I just want to alert Apple to something that is probably not a common issue in the USA. I work behind firewalls and Mavericks seems to be a step backwards with the handling of this. Constant pop-ups asking for name and password. No change in using auto proxy, detect or manual proxy with saved password. Frequent stalling of Safari and Outlook. Apple Remote Desktop and Airport Utility very prone to suddenly quitting. Many websites such as forums and message boards cause Safari to quit too. At home, these problems are not common. Was really good in 10.6; not bad in 10.7/8; unstable in 10.9. Has something changed in the way the OS is handling this?

    Yeah me too on this.
Further testing shows that it isn't Safari at fault, it is something in the way the system handles authentication.
If I use firefox with system settings it also fails, if I set firefox to autodetect, it works perfectly.
I don't think its kerberos related though, firefox didn't have to ask me for a password even when using autodetect, so it was picking up on the existing auth data.
Don't know where to go next though.

  • HTTP to ABAP Proxy - Problem with "Current User" parameter

    Hi experts,
We have a HTTP to ABAP proxy sceario, where I used an HTTP Destination to connect to the proxy.
We're trying to use the option "Current User" in that destination in order to login to ECC with the same user that in PI adapter plain.
The user exists i both systems, PI and ECC, with the same password.
Checking that parameter we get the following error:
    <SAP:Error><SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category><SAP:Code>INTERNAL.UNAUTHORIZED</SAP:Code><SAP:P1>401 </SAP:P1><SAP:P2>Unauthorized</SAP:P2><SAP:P3>(See attachment HTMLError for details)</SAP:P3></SAP:Error>
We think that PI is not getting the password.
Does aybody know how to do this?
    Thanks and regards,
    LUIS B.

    Hi Chirumamilla,
If we put user and password in SM59 (unchecking "Current User") the commuication works without problems.
We don't want to leave a user set there, beacuse we are looking to access to PI with different users and login to ECC with the same user.

    Hello -
I have an Legacy DB2 to R/3 interface and am using a JDBC Sedner adapter and inbound ABAP proxy in R/3.
Since this is an intial load i am trying to Insert all the records.
Though i don't get any errors the table that i am trying to update is not getting updated through the ABAP Proxy though there are 1000 records in the legacy DB2 table.
I have a COMMIT WORK in the proxy.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Please can you check in the SXMB_MONI if the data is going to ABAP Proxy in Payload.
If yes then there is some problem with the code. Try debugging the code by putting a break point.
Also, check in the SXMB_MONI of the application system if the data has come.

  • Proxy Problem

    Hi,
I am doing an ABAP proxy to File scenario, and I have a Zprogram that triggers the proxy, the problem i am facing is, in My Zprogram, say if any of my source field has no value i;e just spaces/blank, then the XML structure generated by the proxy does not contain those fields ,and becouse of which i am getting exceptions in Mapping, what could be the problem, how would i be able to generate the complete XML structure eventhough the values in some source fields do not have any value. please help, Thank you.

    Hi,
It sounds like you have some fields on your target structure that are defined with a cardinality of 1....1 or 1...unbounded
Therefore adjust to be 0...1 or 0...unbounded and your mapping will work ok because there will be no mandatory fields.
Alternatively, move a constant of space to the target fields if the source is blank.
    Kind regards
    Colin.
