Webtogo in Pocket PC 2003

I am new in this "little" world. I've read a lot of documents and tried to run a wetogo application in the pocketpc 2003 emulator, but i can not.
I don't know if webtgo is supported in pocket pc 2003.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks

Hello,
Webtogo is not supported in Pocket PC 2003. The alternative is to run the OLite client for the emulator.

  • How do I run a Java Application on Pocket PC 2003 (iPAQ 2210)

I am writing an application for the iPAQ 2210. It will need to commuunicate over GPRS sending POST requests to a server (I think I will be using the Java.net package) the user interface will be very simple (a few buttons and text boxes) and will capture the data entered and send it back to the server (via the POST HTTP request) and read the response from the POST.
I believe I need to use the Personal Profile version of J2ME and I am only using the classes that it says are supported. How do I run the App on the Pocket PC. Having spoken to HP they have said I shouldn't need a virtual machine and that pocket pc 2003 has one built in! Is this so or should I get myself the Jeode Virtual machine?
Is the Jeode machine the best one?
Sorry to ask so many questions in one go, I'm a little lost at the moment!!
    Jon

    Hello Jon,
I will suggest you using IBM WSDD. Although it uses its own version of JVM(J9), but it suits to your needs well.
I think you should base your project on foundation profile(as you need some gui as well as java.net).

  • Any software can run J2ME in Pocket PC 2003?

I found that there are some software can support J2ME in PPC 2002. As I want to upgrad to PPC2003, any JVM can support J2ME in this OS. Thanks a lot.

I've heard of people having problems with Jeode and Pocket PC 2003.
Maybe you could try with CrEme as well.
    Good luck

  • How to use the Zoom for Pocket PC 2003?

I try to use the LabVIEW7.1 PDA module zoom feature in my Pocket PC 2003. But I can not make it works right. For example, if I try to zoom to rectangle, the graph does not draw in the selected rectangle.
    I attached my code.
    Attachments:
    sin.vi ‏48 KB

    Hello,
I have taken a look at your vi and believe I understand your problem. The vi works if you allow the sine wave to draw to completion and then zoom in on a certain part of the graph. You cannot zoom while the graph is still drawing because the Zoom button click is not registered. Your program is looping inside the case structure for the run button so it does not see that the zoom button is pressed.
Also, I see that when you click Zoom and then draw the sine wave, the wave is not drawn inside the selected area. The graph goes back to its default values. This behavior is because the x and y max and min are set inside the graph properties. Whether this is set by autoscaling or by setting the max and min in the graph properties page, these values overwrite the zoom rectangle values. In LabVIEW for the PC you can set max and min values programmatically through property nodes. However, property nodes are currently not supported in LabVIEW for PDA. So, unfortunately there is no current way to programmatically change the values so that the sine wave is drawn inside the selected zoom region.

  • How to bypass a proxy server in pocket pc 2003

    Hi All,
I am trying to run a mobile web dynpro application on pocket pc emulator. As a part of this I have installed the list of installables eVC4.exe, evc4sp3.exe, Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 SDK.msi and trying to deploy the mobile web dynpro application.
Earlier I have tried the same on Blackberry, but I couldn't succeed. So I am trying it now on Pocket PC emulator. Now the issue which I am having is emulator is connecting to internet but not to server (The machine which has SAP Web Application Server).
I do not have any clue to resolve this.
I guess the problem might be to bypass the proxy in pocket pc emulator, as I done the bypassed the proxy when I deployed through desktop browser.
Could anyone please let me know if anyone of you having any idea how to bypass the proxy thru emulator or how to resolve this issue.
Emulator which I am using is Microsoft Pocket PC 2003.

  • SODA + Pocket PC 2003

What is the trick to getting an application using SODA from the Oracle Lite MDK 10.2.0 to run on Windows CE Pocket PC 2003? I get "'Application' is not a valid Pocket PC application." on the device and the emulator. I have verified that I am compiling for the correct architecture. Even the simplest Hello World that just #includes <soda.h> will fail with the same message.

try the SyncML client if you have collab Suite 9.0.4.2.x

    2. Data to be synced. In that case, this is Contacts, Tasks, Meetings from the Calendar Server.

  • How to get J2ME Apps on Pocket PC 2003?

Hi, I have a program written in J2ME MIDP/CLDC and I want to be able to run it on my iPAQ h4100 (Pocket PC 2003). I did some search on this forum about this and all I found was that there is no JVM and only suggestions for Jeode and Personal Java.
I have no money cause I am a student and I don't want to rewrite any code. Does anybody know of any way to run J2ME programs on Pocket PC? Thanks in advance.
    -Jay

Althought that was not a tested platform, you can try IBM's J9. There's both MIDP 2.0 and Personal Profile 1.0 support if you download WSDD 5.7 from:

  • JVM on Pocket PC 2003

    Hi!
Can you tell me what kind of JVM can I install to Pocket PC 2003?
Actually I'm working with an emulator.
    Please, help me!
    thanks
    marina

I've tried both Creme and Jeode, and jeode seems to be the better one (to me). The GUI generated looks almost identical to the one running on desktop PC (jre1.4).
Too bad Insigna solution has sold Jeode to some company called Esmertec!!
Insigna seemed pretty serious to me, something I can't really say about Esmertec.
I've tried to contact Esmertec to get a newer version of Jeode, which they now call Jbed(!?), but the answer I get is: "we can only license our technology to device manufacturers"!!! So I practically have to pull out my solder to get a licence!!
What is even more confusing is that you can still buy jeode from handango! And sometimes Esmertec themself refer to Jeode as Jeode (I thought they renamed it to Jbed CLDC/CDC!!)
So what I'm doing now is that I'm using "old" Jeode on my Dell Axim X3 (and HP Ipaq 5xxx), and it works pretty good. But it's frustrating to know that the jvm I'm using is no longer maintained!!
The jvm for handheld business doesn't seem very serious to me. It doesn't seem to catch up with the developement (both device manufacturers and jvm solutions). Maybe they are concentrating on the booming mobile phone market!?
Many jvm's are still using Java Personal (Sun EOL).
Another "unserious" thing is that on most companion cd's for PPC, Jeode is mentioned, one way or another. But they either refer to a broken link on Insignias website, or the jvm isn't on the cd although it claims that it should be there!!!

  • Olite 9i on pocket PC 2003 emulator

Does anybody knoes how to install olite 9i on the pocket pc 2003 emulator, so i can debug my program in VB.net 2003. ?
    Thanks.

    3.Installing on a Pocket PC
    - Pocket PCs normally come with a "MIDlet Manager". Please check if you have a "MIDlet Manager" installed under 'Programs' on your Pocket PC. If you don't, you will need to dowload it and install it before copying the JAR files to your device. A MIDlet Manager is what enables Java programs on Pocket PCs. Click on the link below to download the zipped MIDlet Manager: http://www.guidedways.com/mobile/JMM.CAB.zip
    - Installation Procedure: Simply unzip the above file, copy the CAB file to your Pocket PC and tap it from there. This will install the MIDlet Manager on your device.
    - Reset your device
    - Now copy the JAR files from your PC to your Pocket PC and tap the files from there. This should start the installation procedure. If it doesn't, then your mobile unfortunately does not support Prayer Times.

  • Vulnerability of Pocket PC 2003

    Hi,
We are planning to replace our old VT220 based RF guns with new Pocket PC 2003 models and to switch from SAPConsole to the new WebConsole - mainly to get rid of the 3rd party Telnet Server software.
Now our infrastructure/networking guys raised concerns that "Pocket PC 2003 has several known Virus and Vulnerability issues".
Does anyone have thoughts and/or - even better - experience with those kinds of guns and the risk that they might incur?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Is Java Compatible with Pocket PC 2003

    Hello!
    Can anyone answer this Question?
Can I run Java code(Servlets, JSP) in the Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 OS.

    dear,
Java is not only Servlets and JSPs. I wonder why some one will need to use pocketpc as web server.???
As far as the question of java compatibility with PPC is concerned, You know java is hardware and plateform independent, you need a virtual machine that can translate byte code into plateform specific executeable.
...So is the case with PocketPC 2003 as well.

Is it available or grey'd out? If it is grey'd out, you will see in the
Release Notes for the Pocket PC Native Client that Client Window
Management (CWM) apps are not supported on the Pocket PC NC. You will
need to change to using Independent Window.

  • Get Pocket PC 2003 emulator to connect to localhost?

I am busy porting our company's web application to W3C CSS standards and I need to create a stylesheet for mobile devices as some of our new braches will be connecting to the web app using mobile devices.
Now my problem starts with testing this on a mobile device.
I have downloaded the Pocket PC 2003 emulator, but I am unable to get it to connect to my web server on localhost.
    Anyone have any ideas?

It's not possible to connect to your server with "localhost", since localhost to the emulator is the ppc itsself on which you don't have the server.
you need to use the ip of your network card. if you don't have a network set up just assign an ip to your nic and use this. it will work just fine.

  • Can the program written using J2ME run in pocket pc 2003 OS (Ipaq h4150)?

If I write my java program using J2ME, can this program run in my pocket pc (Ipaq h4150)?
Advice is much much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I would think if you found the correct JVM for a piece of hardware, then it could run Java. I know that is the case with cell phones at least.
