WebUtil - FileFunction Bean not Found
I installed and copied all the required files in respective folders. While creating the form I also attached the .PLL file and dragged and attached the Object Library as well but I am getting an error while FOPEN step FileFunction Bean not found?
Any clue what is wrong here ?
Thanks
MS.
Hi ,
It seems to me that there is something wrong about the .jar files (frmwebutil , jacob). Maybe they are not of the correct version , or the signing was not successful ... or .....
Please copy the output of the java console..

Hi guys,
I have updated my AS and DS to 10.1.2.3 and downloaded Wbutil 1.6 update 10.
I configured all the .cfg files as mentioned in the documentation when I launch a test form with config=webutil and a webutil functionality in it then i am getting following error -
oracle.forms.webutil.file.FileFunctions bean not found.
WEBUTIL_FILE.FILE_SELECTION_DIALOG_INT will not work.
Java console shows following -
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.forms.webutil.clientInfo.GetClientInfo
Caused by: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed:http://abhamare-2k.cybage.com:7778/forms/java/oracle/forms/webutil/clientInfo/GetClientInfo.class

and so on..
Some how my java console too has stopped showing up after mistakingly clicked Hide Console.
So can any one help me to get out of this error.
Its sort of driving me crazy.
Thanks in advance.
Av.Hi Av, Can you let me know what you did to fix this issue? We are facing a serious issue with the same error and we can't get around it.

Oracle.forms.webutil.file.filefunction bean not found
hi
i am using this code
declare
fname varchar2(200) ;
begin
fname := client_get_file_name(null,null,null,null,open_file,true) ;
CLIENT_IMAGE.READ_IMAGE_FILE (fname,'any','Img');
end ;
forms is running fine but when we press the button to open dialog for image file an error has been generated as under
oracle.forms.webutil.file.filefunction bean not found.
WEBUTIL_FILE.FILE_SELECTION_DIALOG_INT will not work
i think some think is missing in configuraion file need help on urgent basis
take care
Qaiser Hassan AwanI faced the same problem, I think the frmwebutil.jar could not be downloaded to you client machine, so I modified the archive_jini to be as follows
archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
assuming that frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar are located in folder on your ORACLE_HOME/forms/java
don't know exactly why but I think the
WebUtilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
could not be seen, so I had to put it in the archive_jini parameter
good luck -

Webutil form giving error "oracle.forms.webutil.* bean not found.
i have done all settings as per given in documentation of webutil.
forms is compiling but at runtime it gives error:
oracle.forms.webutil.clientinfo.getclientinfo bean not found.
what could be the reason.plz. help.
shikha...Hi Shika,
Probably, the issue could be because of any one of the following.
<br>
<br>
1. Check whether you have added $OARCLE_HOME\forms90\java\frmwebutil.jar in the default.env under $ORACLE_HOME\Forms90\server folder.
<br>
<br>
2. Check whether you have added the virtual directory
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/webutil" real-path="$OARCLE_HOME/forms90/webutil" />
in the file orion-web.xml under $ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\DevSuite\application-deployments\forms\forms90web folder
<b<i>Correctly</i></b>
<br>
<br>
HTH.
<br>
Regards,

Dear All,
i am facing a problem of running webutil functions. I have compiled my webutil.pll and then attach to my form and then i copy the webtuil.olb objects into my
form and i created one button on my form to show the calculator the code is as follows
Note: i have webutil.cfg in my classpath of default.env file and i signed both webtuil.jar and jacob.jar successfully but still i am facing error.
e.g;
when-button-press
webutil_host.host('calc.exe');
error: oracle.forms.webutil.host HOST bean not found.
WEBUTIL_HOST.execute will not work.
Thanks.
Immediate help will be appreciated....Hi,
Have you entered the webutil values in the formsweb.cfg file?
e.g. WebUtilConfig=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutil.cfg
WebUtilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
WebUtilErrorMode=Alert
WebUtilConfig=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutil.cfg
baseHTMLjinitiator=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutiljini.htm
baseHTMLjpi=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutiljpi.htm
baseHTML=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutilbase.htm
Hopefully this may help you.

Webutil - java bean not found issue when openning the form another time
Hello,
I have a form which uses webutil and is called from another form (using CALL_FORM), the code runs from the when-window-activated trigger and it works well.
But after the form closes (EXIT_FORM), and then called again (CALL_FORM(...,HIDE) it shows a message that the file java bean was not found....
can someone help?Hello,
Maybe this comes from the HIDE parameter. Actually, the bean area have to be shown (so its visible property must be true and the canvas must be displayed) to be taken into account.

Oracle.forms.webutil.file.FileFunctions bean not found
Please i need help to configure and use webutil.
I did all things that are in this blog: http://baigsorcl.blogspot.com/2010/01/open-file-dailog-box-example-using.html
Do I need to do all of this in the server? or in the machine where i am developing the forms?
Thank You!Depending on which Forms (AS) version you are using, in most cases the configuration is already setup for you. There are a few manual steps, but many are already done.
The error you are seeing is the result of one or more of the following:
1. You have not included the webutil configuration information in your call to the form. Oracle provides a default configuration for webutil. So as a test, include config=webutil in your url.
2. You have not correctly compiled/generated your form and/or webutil.pll. If you are creating your fmx from the command line, ensure that you include the compile_all=yes option. Do the same when generating webutil.plx
3. Verify that frmwebutil.jar is in \forms\java
4. Verify that your form includes the webutil objects.
Refer to the Forms Builder online help for more details about how to correctly add WebUtil to an application. The following is a page from the version 10 help.

Webutil bean not found when using call_form with no_share_library_data
Hi,
I have two Forms modules and i navigate from Form A to Form B using a call_form.
If i call Form B with NO_SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA param, i get a webutil error: "oracle.forms.webutil.file.filefunctions bean not found"
If i call it with SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA, there no error and my webutil function works as expected.
Webutil is used in our application are works well so i don't think that it's webutil config problem.
Any idea?
TxThanks for your answer.
Now I'am a little bit further with my debugging but it's more strange! forget the share_library_data...
I start a common form with webutil.pll attached and i will use the Webutil_File.File_Exists function for example
if i call it in the WNFI or WNBI, i get the error
if i call it via a push-button WBP for example, it works!
below the java console ouput when i get the error and after pushing ok on the error

Oracle.forms.webutil bean not found at forms initialization
I'm trying to use the function Webutil_File.File_is_Directory
But i'm getting the following error:
oracle.forms.webutil.file.FileFunctions bean not found.
WEBUTIL_FILE.GET_ATTRIBUTE_INT will not work.
I believe this is not a configuration issue because
this error only happens at forms initialization.
I put this call at a WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE, at the forms initialization, the error happens.
But when the form is waiting a user action, and the user raises the same WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE,
the function works as expected.found my solution, see thread:
auto start other form -
Hi,
I am using webutil 1.0.6, 10gAS R1 (9.0.4.2.0), compiled the module using Forms 10g (9.0.4.0.19), and I am connecting to RDBMS 10.2.0.1.0.
I have proved that webutil works by creating a test harness. I proved the webutil_file.file_exists function works, and both the client_host and webutil_host.host procedures work. So, you would imagine no webutil installation issues. The 9.0.4.0.19 (10g) compiled form is called from a form compiled by 9.0.2.9.0 (9i).
Now that I proved that, I tried calling the webutil procedures from a form in our system that needs to use them. Again compiled in 9.0.4.0.19. I get the error 'oracle.forms.webutil.file.FileFunctions bean not found. WEBUTIL_FILE.GET_ATTRIBUTE_INT will not work'.
I tried detaching both the webutil.pll and webutil.olb, I always attach the webutil.pll first, and then subclass the olb. I still get the same error.
Any advice ??Well, all I can say to myself is RT?M. In metalink note 270940.1, there is a section 'Using WebUtil functionality in a PREFORM/WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE/WHEN-NEW-BLOCK-INSTANCE trigger and it does not work. ' that explains exactly why I was getting the error.
A constraint of using webutil, is new form instance triggers cannot exit_form.
The code did just that. Workaround was to use a timer event, and to minimise the window so the user doesn't notice too much.
ISSUE CLOSED. -
WebUtil: oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found
Hi. This is my first attempt using WebUtil. The following code is in my When-New-Form-Instance trigger:
client_host('N:\TTMS\ITS\vbasic\compiled\MenuUpdate.exe');
This is the error I receive:
oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found
I've included my formsweb.cfg below for your reference. Note that the application is using the [ttmsmenu] configuration.
Thanks in advance for your help with this problem.
***FORMSWEB.CFG***
# $Id: formsweb.cfg 15-apr-2005.13:17:30 pkuhn Exp $
# formsweb.cfg defines parameter values used by the FormsServlet (frmservlet)
# This section defines the Default settings. Any of them may be overridden in the
# following Named Configuration sections. If they are not overridden, then the
# values here will be used.
# The default settings comprise two types of parameters: System parameters,
# which cannot be overridden in the URL, and User Parameters, which can.
# Parameters which are not marked as System parameters are User parameters.
# SYSTEM PARAMETERS
# These have fixed names and give information required by the Forms
# Servlet in order to function. They cannot be specified in the URL query
# string. But they can be overridden in a named configuration (see below).
# Some parameters specify file names: if the full path is not given,
# they are assumed to be in the same directory as this file. If a path
# is given, then it should be a physical path, not a URL.
# USER PARAMETERS
# These match variables (e.g. %form%) in the baseHTML file. Their values
# may be overridden by specifying them in the URL query string
# (e.g. "http://myhost.mydomain.com/forms/frmservlet?form=myform&width=700")
# or by overriding them in a specific, named configuration (see below)

I was running this form out of Form Builder 10g. At some point I changed the Application Server URL (Edit => Preferences => Runtime menus) from:
http://ssbuechl2.div16.ibm.com:8889/forms/frmservlet?config=ttmsmenu
to:
http://ssbuechl2.div16.ibm.com:8889/forms/frmservlet?
So my customized configuration with all the WebUtil references was not being referenced and I was getting the error.
