WebUtil release 1.0.6 and Forms 9i (9.0.2)

Hi: According to the WebUtil documentation, the currently available release of WebUtil works only with Forms 10g (9.0.4 or after) and has not been certified to work with any other version.
Does anyone know if the currently available WebUtil will work with forms 9i (9.0.2)?
Are there any archived copies available through Oracle of perhaps an earlier version of WebUtil that will work with Forms 9i?
Thanks

  • Webutil and Forms 10g

    Hi,
I'm currently converting a forms 6.0 application to forms 10g. My application has the file upload and download functionality. I researched the webutil 9i beta version, but my infrastructure team would not allow this to be installed in the 10g app server production environment because it's not supported.
I looked into the OC4J fileupload and filedownload javabean that comes with the oracle 10g iDS installation. Is webutil built on these javabeans?
What are other alternatives I could use that I don't know about? Please help.
Last question, when will webutil released to production? I desparately need this utility since I don't know too much about JavaBean coding and tie to forms.
    Thanks,
    Jennifer

    Hi,
the problem is that Forms Developer tries to acces steh bean, which requires ojsputil.jar to be set in the Forms90_Builder_Classpath. However, even then it wont work because the oracle.jsp.webutil.fileaccess class doesn't implement the IView interface or extends teh VBean class. You could use it with the FBean package which works with Beans that don't implement the Forms interfaces. However, the oracle.jsp.webutil.fileaccess class seems to be a JSP class which doesn't work at all in Forms.
The best way to approach bean development for Forms is to read this whitepaper
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/forms/pdf/forms_in_java_world.pdf
and then install the Forms 10g demos and look at the source code. We do our best to comment the demo source so that you know what the code does.

  • Issue with FRD and Forms Trace in Oracle Apps Release 12.0.6 forms

    Hi,
Morning..could someone please assist us with this issue..
We are trying to generate FRD and Forms Trace for a seeded Oracle Apps Forms in Release version 12.0.6
    1. We have setup the below mentioned profile option at the user level : ICX: Forms Launcher
    value : http://<host_name>:<port number>/OA_HTML/frmservlet?record=forms tracegroup=medium
tried with this value as well : http://<host_name>:<port number>/OA_HTML/frmservlet?record=forms tracegroup=0-97
and then log out and then tried the transaction steps again in Oracle Apps frontend
    2. Then checked at the directory location named : $FORMS_TRACE_DIR and there we see a file generated like this :forms_19136694.trc
But in this file we could only see the generic seeded error messages...why are we not seeing all the message calls showing all the details regards form level trigger , data blocks , values etc for the form
We need to have the FRD & Forms trace generated urgently for an issue...
Could someone please help us as to how a complete FRD & Forms Trace be generated in Oracle Forms in Oracle Apps version R 12.0.6 & what exact steps need to be checked.
    Thanks

Have you tried to delete/rename the file, reproduce the issue and see if a new file is generated?
You would need to logout and login again, or bounce the application services (if possible) after doing the necessary configuration steps and before reproducing the issue.

  • Webutil-Problem (not the usual "PRE-FORM", "WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE" etc.)

    Hello,
We have an application with lots of modules, where we use webutil to create text files on the client for data exports. The export is called in a WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED Trigger and usually works fine, but we have the following problem:
If two modules, where webutil is used, are opened at the same time and one module is closed, webutil does not function anymore in the other module. If we then try to create a text file after closing on module, we get the following error-message:
    Oracle.forms.webutil.file.FileFunctions bean not found.
    WEBUTIL.FILE.FILE_SELECTION_DIALOG_INT will not work.
It’s not only the FileFunctions bean, all other webutil functions do not work also anymore in the remaining module.
This is not the usual “PRE-FORM”, “WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE” etc. Webutil-Problem.
As I said before, webutil works, but when we close one module with webutil used, it does not work in another open module anymore.
Any Idea, why this happens and how to solve the problem???
    Kind regards
    Udo

    Hello,
Yes, both modules work in the the same session and session is not disconnected, when one of the modules is closed.
Webutill.pll is attached on both forms and all forms in our application using webutil usually work fine with the exception mentioned above.
It's a bit difficult to explain, what happens in our application, but I try:
Our application consists of modules that call other modules with call_form or go_form , when the module is open, all in the same session. "Global" Parameters are passed with SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA. Usually the calling forms stays open.
In the following constellation webutil does not work anymore at a certain point :
    - Open module A (with webutil attached) and webutil works
    - Then module A calls module B (with webutil attached) and webutil works in module B
    - GO_FORM (module A) and webutil still works (while module B is still open)
    - CALL_FORM (module C) (in our case webutil is not attached to this module, but I think that is not the problem) module C closes module B (while module A stays open)
    - After making a choice in module C, module C closes itself with EXIT_FORM.
    - Go back to the open module A, make a new query with the choice made in module C and webutil does not work anymore in module A

Can anyone help me with this. I tried to even switch on the Trace in RSRTRACE but it goes to the debugger and stuck in some SAP code. Don't know what exactly the problem is. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • System error in program RSMDATASTATE and form RSM_DATASTATE_CHECK-10-

    Hi Experts,
We found an error ABAP/P Processor: Message_type_x and Error analysis shows "System error in program RSMDATASTATE and form RSM_DATASTATE_CHECK-10-"
I found a forum that close to my issue: ABAP Dump Error - System error in program RSMDATASTATE
Also, I checked the SAP Note : 858671 and 1094948.
As for my BW system, the system component information is SAP Netweaver BI 7.0 Release 700 Level 0019. Does it mean the both sapnotes alreay apply to my sap system?
Could anyone please advices me in this issue? I am so newbie in SAP BW. I'm so apology if they already have a forum or a note that related to my issue.
Thank you everyone for further assistances
    With Best Regards,
    Molly

    Hi Molly ,
A per my experience and and observation. Message_type_x issue will occur in two scenarios.
    1) When ever Sytesm copy happend.
    2) Triggering of info package twice at a same time.
    Case1:
When ever system copy happens, we will have init request still pointing to the Previous targer syatem's in Init.
Thsi can be resolved by reinitilization of source request.
Note: Make sure that Init reqiuest is same in both Source and Target systems.
    Case 2:
Message_type_x  May occur by triggering the info package at a same time twice(some time we also get xx request is inprocess alert).
With respect to the following blog:
Kindly check the request in RSMDATASTATE.
    1) Request SID for which all requests are technically o.k.
    2) Request SID for which all requests checked for quality.
    3) Request SID, up to which aggregates are to be rolled up.
    Best Regards,

  • Adobe HCM Processes and Forms Start processes iView error

    Hi,
We are implementing Adobe HCM processes. The forms based on the PCR technology are working fine. However, we want the new HCM Processes and Forms technology. We have implemented Business packages for MSS, HR Administrator and XSS (PC_GUI). ADS is configured correctly as the PCR Adobe forms are working fine.
We want to use the WebDynpro version of HCMPF and NOT the ABAP version. When starting the Start Processes IView (sap.com/paasrprocst) we get the error:

  • How to create Digital Personnel Foile for HCM Processes and Forms

Hi I am creating HCM Processes and Forms using FPM Forms. Now to print these forms Alternate Adobe forms also developed. But once the entire process is completed by HR Admin and in future if they want to see the already processed form and if they want to take print out they should be able to do it. So, based on some knowledge I am assuming we can achieve this by Digital Personnel file creation. Can any one please confirm. Whether they can open already processed form and how to get print these forms as this is FPM form and no print option is available.
In order to configure DPF, can any one share step by step procedure to configure DPF. I dont have any idea on SAP Records Management as I felt this basic is required. Friends help me here.
    Regards,
    Nayani.

    This seems possible.
Refer here ... Print Form (FPM Form Type Only) - HCM Processes and Forms - SAP Library
For DPF - ensure you have used the anchor correctly refer Save PDF file added to processes and forms WDA
Regarding the possibility of being able to print it from process browser - I am not sure.
Process browser for latest release is documented here...

  • Forms 6i and Forms 9i Running at the same time

I was wondering if it is possible to run the Forms 6i developer suite and the Forms 9i developers suite at the same time and database environment.

Oracle9iAS Release 2 = Oracle9i Forms and you can only run 9i Forms in this stack.
Oracle9iAS Release 1 - Oracle Forms6i and you can only run 6i Forms on this stack.
You should "mix and match" version of Forms. You should run the version of Forms on the same platform version.
Of course, you can upgrade your 6i Forms to 9i which means they will now only run on Oracle9iAS Release 2.
I know its a little bit confusing but we are slowly getting all our release numbers aligned to make it easier for you.

  • Which modules of oracle apps have reports and forms?

which modules of oracle apps have reports and forms? Do I need to have strong programming knowledge to learn these?
Plz try to respond as I need to get started with the traiining asap.

Most of Oracle Apps modules come with reports and forms. You would probably need to create your custom module (with custom forms/reports) instead of modifying the standard Oracle Apps forms and reports. Start with "Oracle Applications Developer's Guide" and "Oracle Applications Concepts" manuals, it should be helpful.

  • Diference between Forms 11.1.1.1.0 and Forms 11.1.1.2.0 ?

    Hello,
What is the diference between Forms 11.1.1.1.0 and Forms 11.1.1.2.0 ?
And is better to install with Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 10.3.1?
    Thanks

From a Forms point of view, there really were no changes worth speaking of between .1 and .2. There were minor changes, but mostly changes that improved usability and stability. This release was actually intended to be a patch (bug fixes), however it was decided that some features (unrelated to Forms) should be included so a new release was created. There were also some technical difficulties around actually patching the .1 release, so again the need for a new distribution was required.
As for WLS, the version you use is not optional. FMw 11.1.1.1 required WLS 10.3.1 and FMw 11.1.1.2 requires WLS 10.3.2.
More information can be found in the 11.1.1.2 documentation:

  • System error in program CL_RSR_REQUEST and Form TEXT_ELEMENTS_GET:Variabl

Does anyone have any ideas or experiences for resolving "System error in program CL_RSR_REQUEST and Form TEXT_ELEMENTS_GET:Variabl"
    Your input is appreciated

    hi Arun,
sap oss note 858458 may relevant for you, take a look, may need support package.
    Symptom
When you execute a query for which the user does not have authorization, a system error occurs: CL_RSR_REQUEST; Form TEXT_ELEMENTS_GET:VARIABLE.
    Reason and Prerequisites
This is caused by a program error.
    Solution
    BW 3.0B
Import Support Package 28 for 3.0B (BW3.0B Patch28 or SAPKW30B28) into your BW system. The Support Package is available when Note 0783170 "SAPBWNews BW3.0B Support Package 28", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
    BW 3.10 Content
Import Support Package 22 for 3.10 (BW3.10 Patch22 or SAPKW31022) into your BW system. The Support Package is available when Note 0783252 "SAPBWNews BW3.1 Content Support Package 22", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
    BW 3.50
Import Support Package 14 for 3.5 (BW3.50 Patch14 or SAPKW35014) into your BW system. The Support Package is available when Note 0836439 "SAPBWNews BW Support Package 14 NetWeaver'04 stack 14" ", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
In urgent cases you can implement the correction instructions.
To make information available in advance, the notes mentioned may already be available before the Support Package is released. However, in this case the short text still contains the words "preliminary version".
