Webviewer in DPS Pro.

Hello, it's possible to have the webviewer in the professional license? I have a client that needs this feature but do not have the budget for the enterprise. If it is for a slightly higher cost, only to have this feature would be more feasible to purchase for him.

DPS Pro in India please...

Trying to buy Adobe DPS Pro license in India, and being told it can't be sold as there's not a single reseller in India right now, and the product is not available on Adobe Store (India) for online purchase.
Can someone please guide or advice me how to buy DPS Pro, or connect me to someone from Adobe or reselling community to facilitate this. Also, need DPS PRO only, and NOT DPS ENTERPRISE edition.
Seems when it comes to DPS, you need to know workarounds not only for using the product, but also to buy it, even at MRP...

Interpreting DPS Pro analytics

Hi,
When reviewing the DPS Pro analytics with my reseller DPS account you get basic info like:
- downloaded folio's
- canceled folio's
etc.
So basicly measurable actions.
But the second part of this has to do with contents like:
- which ads have been viewed
- which articles have been viewed
- how many video's have been viewed
- which overlay is the most popular, etc.
But I want to know, when does viewing an article "count" in the analytics?
e.g.: If I want to get to article 5 and scroll from article 3 to article 5 (so I don't use the TOC), does article 4 get a "hit" in the analytics page? Is there a minium viewing period (e.g. 5 seconds?) required before an article gets a higher viewing figure?
I'm getting some questions about this from clients and I think this is very important, especially when talking about viewed ads.

It's great to have these numbers available but we're working on our dashboard now, and the metrics we're seeing don't tell us the kind of info we could pass along to our advertisers or stakeholders. (i.e. 'browsed' doesn't allow us to claim engagement if there isn't a min time limit on what constitutes a 'browse')
I'm also seeing some confusing stats. Our most-browsed content piece so far this month is listed in the analytics as '::unspecified::' which doesn't exist in our folio, and the next highest (at 4x the number of downloads, so that's kind of suspicious too) is a puzzle at the back of the book, coming in just before the feature story even though it's not linked from the cover. Anybody have any experience with puzzling numbers like this, and have insight to share?

Changing Adobe ID associated with DPS Pro

A friend who own a DPS Pro account, asked me how he can changes the Adobe ID associated to it, so he can keep his DPS SE separated with his main client that use the Pro version. Is this possible, how?

Here's how it's possible:
1. Go to Adobe.com and change the email id associated with the Pro account following this article : http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/kb/changing-id-email.h tml
This will free up that email id, it wont change your subscription since Adobe id is not mapped with email id, rather another id which is called GUID.
2. Now since your email id is free, use that to register a new Adobe.com account or update email id associated with existing CCM/Free DPS account and use CCM/Single edition with that.

DPS Pro Account

We are small design firm and have planned launch 3 different mags next year. Each Mazazine Folio will have 4 issue per year. My question is: we need 3 DPS pro Account? Or we can publish the 3 Mags with only one?

You would only need 1 DPS account.
But you would have to submit (potentially) 3 apps to the app store for approval from Apple. Unless you were going to create (1) main app that would house 3 different magazines.
You would also want to create different Adobe ID's so that you can capture your stats/Analystics for these magazines.

Adobe DPS Pro Commissions

Adobe pays web designers a commission for each client they introduce to their web dev platform Adobe Business Catalyst. It's a recurring 10% commission for each month the client pays for the BC service and web hosting. It's seems Adobe could offer the same incentive for DPS Pro. Agencies need to sell DPS to their clients and justify the ongoing $600 month hosting costs. A built-in commission would be well received. Anyone agree?

iPhone doesn't support that resolution.

Adobe DPS Pro Monthly

In a recent post, it was suggested that the Adobe DPS Pro Edition would allow for monthly billing on the Adobe site this week. In fact, the Adobe DPS Pro page does, if you wait for a little bit, show a "Buy" button under Professional Edition Monthly. However, clicking it takes you to a reseller page for Southeast Asia, which I assume is not the intended behavior. I called Adobe support and they experienced the same behavior on the page. Can anyone shed some light on the current status of when we might see the ability to order direct for the monthly option? Thanks.

1/2/3/4: The app will remain in the store as long as you leave it there, but you must maintain an active DPS Pro subscription for the downloads to work. If you end your subscription immediately after uploading the one folio your readers will not be able to download the folio inside the app.

Fullscreen shiftable Diashow with dps pro

hey folks,
I found a lot articles about diashows and scrolling slideshows but i have still a problem.
I create an e-magazine with dps pro CS6 for my work.
here is a screenshot:

every single picture in the layout is linked to the specific pic in the fullscreen diashow.
now I want, if the user tabs on one of the pictures, that exact picture pops up in the shiftable fullscreen diashow... till that step i got it...
i created the whole diashow as an objectstate with an invisible layer on top/first.
in each objectstate layer i also created a button to switch back to the layout.

it works fine but i want that diashow working as a loop without that invisible layer.
so the user is not able to see the layout behind that fullscreen diashow if he swabed through the end of it. only if he presses the "back to layout" button.

if i enable that "swab" (sorry dont know the enlish description) funktion in the "folio overlay"...

... the user would be able to swab over the layout and starts instantly the fullscreen diashow, thats not what i want.
i also tried to put a button in every single object state layer to navigate to the "next" picture...
that worked pretty well but it was impossible to get back to the picture before...
so the user can only swab in one direction but i want him to be able to slide forward and backward... with this technique it wasn´t possible.
i hope i could describe u my problem understandable and someone can help me.

If I understand correctly, it sounds like you're trying to create a slideshow in which the first image is not visible. You want buttons to show each state in the slideshow, and you also want users to be able to swipe through the slides. You also want users to be able to tap a button to make the slideshow invisible again. The problem is that the first state in the slideshow is invisible, and swiping through the slideshow causes the invisible state to appear, which you don't want. Is that correct? If so, here are some possibilities:
* In the Overlays panel, select the "Hide Before Playing" option. The slideshow will be invisible at first, and then tapping any of the buttons activates the slideshow. Unfortunately, once you activate the slideshow, you can't deactivate it--it remains active, so this approach probably wouldn't work with your design..
* Create a slideshow in which the first state is invisible. Insert buttons in each state of the slideshow that jump to the next or previous slide. On the last slide, create a Go To State button that jumps to State 2. In State 2, create a previous button with Go To State that jumps to the last slide, skipping the invisible State 1. Create a button outside the slideshow that jumps to State 1, and create your other buttons outside the MSO. Finally, do not enable "Swipe to Change Image" in the Overlays panel. I believe this approach would work.

Moving from DPS Pro to DPS Enterprise

Please someone remind me how to do this.
The company has been using a DPS Pro account for a year but has now acquired an Enterprise account. The Pro account has now expired and so limitations to downloads fulfilment for the apps we published with it will start to kick in shortly. How do I ensure continuity for users who have our apps installed in such a way that they don't lose their free and retail folio downloads? I assume I need to re-publish the folios using appropriate app-specific sign-ins provisioned in the Enterprise account but will I need to rebuild those apps as well?

When you get your Account upgraded, ensure that you inform Order management that you need the same account upgraded (Give them your master account id). If that is done, it will not affect any folios and will continue to work as it was working earlier.

Single folio app with DPS PRO

I have a dps Pro account.
I would like to create a single folio app for iOS( iPad-iphone) and android devices that it will be free of charge.
i know that single folio app can be created for iOS and in that case there is charge for folio fulfillment.Is that correct?
For android version can i create a single folio app?As i have see i think that this is not possible.Is that correct?In that case is there anything else that i could do?For example if i create a multi folio app and i upload only one folio will this work?In that case does the charge for folio fulfillment exist?

Single edition apps are iPad only and do not incur a download charge. For Android you need to create a multifolio app even if it will contain only a single folio.

When is the new DPS Pro pricing structure implimented?

I'm about to purchase DPS Pro but unsure whether I should hold off until ithe prices are updated?

So, let me get this straight. If you purchased a DPS Pro Subscription last month, you could publish all the apps that you pleased for $495/month.
When you renew February 2015, you'll be able to produce only *1* app for $495/month. This from the company that says people who publish numerous apps are only a "small percentage" of those with DPS Pro licenses.
Then, to make things even more interesting, Adobe LOWERS the price of DPS Enterprise by more than 70% in one year! The geniuses at Adobe are really making me scratch my head.

Single Edition pricing for a DPS Pro account

We have launched a free Single Edition app thru our DPS Pro account - (in App Builder selected the Single Edition tab)
My specific question is, Do the downloads from this Single Edition app get subtracted from our Fulfillments account?

Monthly DPS Pro, what happens if you stop paying

We need to buy DPS pro because a client wants to use android tablets at a trade show, however the folio will not go on the app store and will be distributed to the tablets using Adobe Content Viewer.
What happens if we only pay for the subscription as and when we need it, ie for 2 months then stop for a few months then start it again?

Can anyone confirm this, you can share to android devices via ACV without having a pro subscription, I think I tried to download content to ACV on iPhone and nothing showed up, so I assumed the same was true for Android

my Customer ask me to change the Developer name showed in AppStore.
I can't perform the "AppTransfer" because:

You cannot transfer apps that contain or use: iCloud entitlements in any version of the app Passbook A SKU that matches the SKU of one of the recipient's apps, including SKUs that have been removed In-App Purchase product IDs that match the In-App Purchase product ID of one of the recipient's apps, including In-App Purchase IDs that have been removed Approved auto-renewable, non-renewing, or free subscription In-App Purchases, including previously approved In-App Purchases subscriptions that have been removed Sandboxed Mac apps that share the Application Group Container Directory with other Mac apps cannot be transferred either. To transfer these apps, the recipient must create the app as a new app. Current customers, ratings, and reviews cannot be transferred to the new app.
So I'm forced to create an App from the beginning. What happen to the DPS App into Newsstand? Have I to delete the old App and create a New one with all the issues of the Magazines (luckly only 1 issue at the moment)?
I need to be sure that the DPS Pro license let me create the New App and not to buy a new one € 4.260,00!!

Create new app on DPS PRO

I have a DPS Pro account on which I enrolled on 18 Nov, 2013.
It is a month by month subscription.
When I enrolled on the program I could create unlimited app under that account. Until now I have create and upload an android multi folio app.
After the latest changes on the policy of your company I am a little confused and i wold like to know if until Nov 2014 I can still upload another apps on that account?.Can I use the same account for a second app?Does the new policy include new subscribers on DPS after the Mar 14 ?

Yes, you can create another app with that Pro account. And adding the same app to a different store does not count as a different app.
The new policy is only for existing Pro subscribers, not new subscribers.
