Wednesday last week my godaddy email stopped downloading emails to the inbox

Last Wednesday all my iphones/ipad stopped updating the inbox for my godaddy server emails. All other folders update. I have checked with Godaddy and all settings are correct. There was mention that update 5.0.1 may have some issues with emails. Emails work as advertised on MacBook. Any suggestions?

I did try that with to no avail. Once reinstalled, the emails all updated to the exact date then stopped. I then tried to delete email to see if that woule help. It updated on the iphone/ipad but not the inbox.

Hi! So I finally found a disk cleaning kit and tried it out. No luck : (
The exact thing that occurs is:
Put disk in. It does not show up. Cannot get it out.
Turn computer on and off.
Message comes up saying it cannot read the disk and if I would like to erase the disk or eject it.
Then I eject it.
That's the whole of the cycle.
So do you think that just means it;s busted and no other way I can solve it but go with the external drive at this point?

Email stops downloading messages

Every day my mail client stops downloading email. When it tries to open an email, the wait circle is there indefinitely. New mail is not pushed or fetched.
I have Exchange isync in push mode and an IMAP account in fetch mode.
I have to reboot the iphone about once a day. Software version 2.2.1.
This is a major problem as i rely heavily on email.
any ideas appreciated.

I have the same problem. My email was working fine but then May 13th at 10 am it updated for the last time and I haven't been able to get any messages to download to my phone. I can still check my email in safari, but that is such a pain. I called the helpdesk for my school's email service, but they have no idea why it would stop working.
Any ideas would be great. I just can't understand why it was working fine and now it isn't. Plus it will still let me send emails I just don't receive them to my phone.

Apple Mail stops downloading emails at a certain point

I have just recently started to use Apple Mail (3.6) and set up two accounts: one POP for hotmail and one IMAP for gmail. While sending mails works fine with both accounts, the hotmail one stops downloading mails from the server at a certain point.
From the approximately 15000 mails on the server, Mail downloads about 3000 (the oldest ones, which I neither need nor want on my computer anyway) and then stops. When I click on receive new mails, it will show the connecting sign as usual. The bar on the left, which indicates how many e-mails remain on the server and how many are currently being downloaded, pops up for a second, telling me that all remaining 12000 e-mails have been downloaded in the same time span - which obviously didn't happen.
I have already tried deleting downloaded mails from my computer, thinking that there might be a limit to the number of mails saved on the desktop. Also I deleted the whole account and set it up again, but the same thing happened at exactly the same point, respectively the same email downloaded. What to do?

Yes, these were the e-mails that showed up in the inbox, i.e. they were the chunk of mails that I could download before Apple Mail stopped the downloading at all. I deleted them because I thought it would make space for newer ones to be downloaded.
No, I have not used any other Mail application before. I used to go directly to the hotmail-webpage.
Interestingly, I have deleted the whole account again and set it up anew - which enabled Apple Mail to another round of downloading mails when I did it the last time. This time however, nothing happened: again, the bar on the left appears for a second, telling me that around 12000 mails are on my server and that all have been downloaded in about this second. But they do not show up. It remains a mistery to me, even more so as Mail is obviously able to detect all mails on the server (when I check under Account Information, Emails on Server) but not to download them.

Thunderbird stopped downloading emails from the web server and now when I try to add a new account I get a message to say it cannot find the email server.

Thunderbird was working and then for no reason it stopped downloading emails from the web server. I can access my emails in the web server okay. I have tried to remove my account and then add it again as a new account but I get a message saying that Thunderbird cannot find the email server. I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird but with the same result. I have also tried to remove the default mail server but have been unable to do so. How can I fix this?

I figured out a workaround.... Since I can get e-mails to populate via iSync and my other computer is running Leopard (it's a powerpc chip and can't run Snow Leopard), I added the account on the other computer and got the new account to populate into my SL machine with iSync. I don't like that I can't actually add the account directly, but at least this got me working.

Later found them, and un clicked them all. Also I might have been hacked, because I was charged yesterday with an App, that I did not order!!!
I only know that, because I get an instant message from my bank by phone, when I spend any money. I am worried.

It sounds like you changed your forum account preferences and now they have changed back, and you have an unauthorized purchase on your iTunes Store account and have concerns about your account security. I recommend first changing your Apple ID password with this article:

Click “Manage your Apple ID” and sign in.
If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID. If you're unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the guidelines for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.
Click "Password and Security".
In the "Choose a new password" section, click Change Password.
Enter your old password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Click Save when done.
The next time you use an Apple feature or service that uses Apple ID, you'll be asked to sign in with your new Apple ID password

Did you fail to import them to your computer before restoring?

They are likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
Try to decrease the value of the pref <b>network.http.max-connections</b> from 256 to 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

Sinces APtril email stooped downloading emailk from my yahoo, hotmail, gmail accounts, it starts but do not dowload anything in hours

In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
Then click the Show Details button & Check again.
Open Mail's Activity Window, does that show anything?

Since last update cannot update password nor download emails.

Since my last update on Jan 19 I cannot download emails. It appears to connect but eventually stops without explanation. I erased all stored passwords but it does not ask for a new one and keeps doing the same thing. You should have your stuff separate from your mom's. Delete all the apps downloaded or purchased with your mom's Apple ID and download or purchase them with your own Apple ID. Back up files and data first if possible.

Email stopped downloading on my IPad

All of a sudden email has stopped downloading on my IPad from SMTP, EXCHANGE and POP accounts. I know the details are all correct and the emails are working as my IPhone is still working.
What's happened to my IPad ?

Quit the mail app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Mail 2.1.3 stopped downloading email

Mail was working fine until after I downloaded latest "Software update" items today (except iTunes). Now it still sends OK, but it no longer downloads incoming email. There IS incoming mail on my ISP's server (discovered via ISP web site mail), but when I click the Get Mail button, the little wheel next to the Inbox just spins, and spins, and spins, and spins and nothing shows up in the Inbox. Any ideas anyone? Anyone else have this problem right after after updating?
