Weekly Breakdown Analysis

Dear All,
We have MCI7 report where we can have monthly breakdown analysis but here my requirement is, I want to have report on Weekly Breakdown analysis.
To get the Weekly Breakdown analysis we can change the update period for info structure S070 to Week.
But in SAP note 80311 it has mentioned that "The update period for the information structure S070 must be 'Month'.Changing the update period is not allowed."
Now my question is, is it advisable to change the update period?
If not, then why there is field (SPWOC) for week in the table S070?
Request you to kindly clarify my doubts.
Regards,
Basavaraj.

there is set to date button next to execute button...try dat...here u can specify the date upto which u want to run the progress analysis

  • Weekly breakdown report

    Hello every one,
In my project my client is asking for weekly breakdown report. When i m running mci7 report that report is monthly. When i change cofiguration for Information structure as date wise. System is not calculating all the reports. Is there any other way to get the breakdown reports on weekly basis apart from PMIS.
    Regards
    Abhishek

    Hi,
Only monthly update period is supported for this structure - see note [80311|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/80311]:
Check the Customizing settings with Transaction OMOS.
The update period for the information structure S070 must be 'Month'.Changing the update period is not allowed.

  • BREAKDOWN ANALYSIS V/S MTTR-MTBR ANALYSIS

    Dear Friends,
I want to know what is the difference between MTTR-MTBR analysis and Breakdown analysis?
T-code for Breakdown Analysis is MCI7 in Standard analysis but this shows the MTTR-MTBR Analysis then if this is the MTTR-MTBR Analysis, then how can we find out the actual breakdown analysis from sap?
    Thanks in advance

    HI,
Suppose take an equipment  K3001 -compressor
It fails 2 times this month.
    Then Breakdown is 2.
MTBF -  is Mean time between failure
The running hour between these two breakdown is MTBF  For ex:  150 hr
MTTR - is Mean time to repair.
After Breakdown the time you take to repair and make it operable  is MTTR  for ex: 8 hr
MCJB  &  MCJC   - MTTR  -MTBF  report

  • Breakdown Analysis Vs MTBR/MTTR Analysis

    Hi,
I have created one equipment. Start date for that is 28.04.2010. After that, I have created 3 breakdown notifications. Based on that, I have created orders & completed fully. Now I am trying to run both the reports like MTBR/MTTR Analysis & Breakdown Analysis.
    Results:
    MTBR/MTTR Analysis:
    Total Breakdowns: 3
    Total Downtime: 62 hours
    MTTR: 20.67 hours
    MTBR: 219.33 hours
    Time between repairs: 658 hours
    Breakdown Analysis:
    Actual Breakdown: 2
    MTTR: 12 hours
    MTBR: 252 Hours
Why this difference between these 2 analysis. Can you please explain.
    Regards,
    Maheswaran.

    Hi Narasimhan,
Thank you for prompt reply. I have checked all the dates as well for overlapping. But there is nothing like that.
    This is for your information:
    1st Notification:
Start Date: 04.05.2010 Start Time: 10.00.00 AM
End Date: 06.05.2010 End Time: 00.00.00
    2nd Notification:
Start Date: 15.05.2010 Start Time: 10.00.00 AM
End Date: 15.05.2010 End Time: 20.00.00
    3rd Notification:
Start Date: 27.05.2010 Start Time: 10.00.00 AM
End Date: 28.05.2010 End Time: 00.00.00
There is no overlapping also. But I dont know why. If there is any overlapping, in MTBR/MTTR analysis as well, result could be same if I am correct.
    Please clarify.
    Regards,
    Maheswaran.

  • Breakdown analysis report MCI7

    Dear Experts,
I created a break down notification for an equipment installed under a functional location and completed the notification after entering the breakdown hours with breakdown indicator checked.  Now if i run the MCI7 report with the functional location of the equipment, it does not give a break down analysis. Is it the way it usually responds or there are some additional settings we need to do?
    Please let me know
    Thanks,
    Boby

Please ensure that the 'Startup date' field in the Equipment Master (Header tab) is filled. When there is only one Breakdown notification on a particular equipment and the 'startup date' is not filled, you will not get MCI7 report, because the first notification will be consumed as the 'startup date'. As soon as you fill this field, the MCI7 report starts, even if this only notification is created/completed before filling the field.

  • Sales Analysis COS does not match the ledgers

Hi, I have run the weekly sales analysis report for week 24 and our TM comes out different to the ledger. The difference is 10k? Any idea why?

If you right click on an Invoice and choose "Gross Profit" it will give you a setting on how you want to calculate the Gross Profit for that invoice.
In the accounting point of view the "Base Price" should be "Item Cost" so that the Gross Profit will be (Net Selling Price - Item Cost = Gross Profit). This will give you the same Gross Profit amount between P and L and Sales Analysis Report.
However, SAP B1 gives the user the ability to select a different base price other than the Item Cost.
This gives the user the flexibility for the Sales Report. Example (Net Sales Price - Vendor Sales Price = Gross Profit). People do this sometimes because  the item's cost fluctuates if you use FIFO or average cost and they want a uniform cost to calculate their Gross Profit.
In summary if the Base Price is not set to "Item Cost" then there will be difference in the Gross Profit between the P and L and Sales Analysis Report.

  • Breakdown history ?

    Dear Guru
Actually we are getting the down time report thro MCJB,MCJC . But let me one thing the system is calculating  the total hours instead of objects oper. hrs.
Suppose we have some spare pumps it is running 5 hrs/day, then while breakdown analysing the same SAP providing answer is correct?
In same case continious industry production  depends the objects efficiency also. So iam not seen the efficiency(like ex:  pumps, gearbox, engine and some m/c)  calculation thro SAP.
Please flow ur ideas abt this

    hi thenna arasu
i think you can get the OEE through production planning ( iam not sure) for this you have to create an equipment and assign to the production work center. for detail you can consult PP consultant
you can also manually calcualte the OEE provided you have the data
    <b>OEE</b>
OEE takes into account all three OEE Factors, and is calculated as:
    OEE = Availability x Performance x Quality
    <b>Availability</b>
Availability takes into account Down Time Loss, and is calculated as:
Availability = Operating Time / Planned Production Time
    <b>Performance</b>
Performance takes into account Speed Loss, and is calculated as:
Performance = Ideal Cycle Time / (Operating Time / Total Pieces)
Ideal Cycle Time is the minimum cycle time that your process can be expected to achieve in optimal circumstances. It is sometimes called Design Cycle Time, Theoretical Cycle Time or Nameplate Capacity.
Since Run Rate is the reciprocal of Cycle Time, Performance can also be calculated as:
Performance = (Total Pieces / Operating Time) / Ideal Run Rate
Performance is capped at 100%, to ensure that if an error is made in specifying the Ideal Cycle Time or Ideal Run Rate the effect on OEE will be limited.
    <b>Quality</b>
Quality takes into account Quality Loss, and is calculated as:
Quality = Good Pieces / Total Pieces

  • Breakdown details based on the cause, damage on equipemnts

    Dear all
We have one requirements with users. Presently we have the Breakdown analysis report, there we can see the equipment, date, object, damage, activities, downtime hours in text.
For this presently the Input is equipment or planner group, work center , date .
But users want objects, damage, cause will be input according to this they wants to collect the data like
equipment, date, object, damage, activities, downtime hours in ouput.
    Please have some idea

    Hi,
You need to define customised info structure for this. Then you need to pull together all these  objects, damage, cause as characteristics into same field catalog. This will be Z field catalog and with this you need to define your customised info structure. This will append existing communication structure for reporting and used for report data updation in customised info structure. After this you need to define updating definitions to update info structure regularly.
at last you need to do statistical data set up for old data then normal data updation will happen. This is how standard SAP reports work.

  • Require SQL to get week information

Hi, i need to get the week start date and end date in my report as a report break.
    Can you assist me?
How would i go about doing this?
    This is the spec:
    Week Start Date
The Report prints the Start Date of the week. Company has indicated that the start of the week will be the Friday, of the relevant week.
If Distribution or Collection or Sales Cutoff records are within a week, the week start and end dates will be derived from the retrieved records, and used as a means to split the report into weekly information.
    ·     The start of the week will be regarded as Friday and the end of the week will be regarded as Thursday (in the following week).
Format:     Alphanumeric field, containing the day and the month. Conforming to the following format (DD MON).
    Example:     4 APR
    Week End Date
The Report prints the End Date of the week. company has indicated that the end of the week will be the Thursday, of the relevant week.
    Example:     10 APR
    Thanks

Well it is difficult to tell without knowing reporting tool and sql you are using, but :p_start_date and :p_end_date do not matter for week breakdown. I assume you are selecting rows based on some date column. Like:
where some_date_col between :p_start_date and :p_end_dateNow if you add
trunc(some_date_col + 3,'IW') - 3 week_start_dateto select list you will be able to do the breakdown by week_start_date.

  • MTTR , MTBR, break down analysis reports

    Hello ,
I am new to PM module. I want to understand basic concept of MTTR and MTBR and the SAP config. required to get the above metioned reports in SAP.
It will be a great help if some one can elaborate steps required in config. and prerequisites to fetch the reports from the scratch.
Related links, documents will also be a great help for me.
    Thanks

    Hi AR1,
There are three cases which are important for the breakdown analysis. These are represented in the following diagram, which displays two reported breakdowns in each case.
    Three Cases for Breakdown Analysis
    Key Figures for Downtime
The key figures for downtime comprise the following figures:
    u2022 Downtime entered/Time To Repair
    u2022 Mean Time to Repair
The average duration of a machine breakdown, MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), is calculated from the individual history of a piece of equipment. This gives the following formula:
The key figure MTTR is calculated in hours.
    First breakdown 10 hours
    Second breakdown 05 hours
    Number of breakdowns 02
    MTTR = 10 + 5 / 2 = 7.5 hours
To calculate the key figure Mean Time To Repair, in the breakdown analysis (information structure S070) the effective breakdowns and the number of effective breakdowns are taken into account. In all other analyses (and the underlying information structures) the noted breakdown duration and the number of noted breakdowns are taken into account.
Key Figures for Duration Between Machine Breakdowns
The key figures for the duration between machine breakdowns comprise the following ratios:
    u2022 Time between Repair
    u2022 Mean Time between Repair
The average duration between two machine breakdowns, MTBR for short (Average Time between Repair), is calculated from the individual history of the equipment. This gives the following formula:
The key figure MTBR is calculated in hours.
The following example shows how the MTBR is calculated:
Acquisition date of pump A 01.01.94
    First breakdown 10.01.94
    Downtime 10 hours
    Second breakdown 20.01.94
    Downtime 5 hours
    Number of breakdowns 2
    MTBR = (19 * 24 - 10) / 2 or X + Y (hr) / 2
    = (456 - 10) / 2 or (216 + 240 - 10) / 2
    = 223 hours
Example: Average Duration Between Two Machine Breakdowns (MTBR)
Hope it may help to you
    Regards
    Srinivas
