Weekly Lot-sizing yielding incorrect Planned Order dates
Hi All,
need a help..
Lot-sizing key = W2 (weekly)
"Scheduling" on the config of the lot-sizing key = 3 (Period start := start and period end := delivery date). This data has been maintained for a material that is to be planned/produced on a weekly basis.
Requirement --- Weekly planning on my material. MRP should return Planned Orders with Start Date = Reqt Date (of the Dependent reqt) & End date = Availability date (of the dep reqt).
Currently, the system is calculating the "only" hours on the basis of the Routing data (I'm running Lead Time Scheduling) while creating Planned Orders during the MRP run against my expectation of spanning the production/order out over multiple days (per the lot-sizing config)
Any clue would be of a great help
cheers
Thanks Mario,
Had found that out during the course of my testing. I'm doing a Lead Time Sched, so obviously my reqt can't be met..
So, we can conclude that though a weekly lot-sizing procedure is/could be compatible with LTS, the Config within the lot-size (field Scheduling = 3) cannot be used to influence the dates on the created Planned Orders...
Cheers

Offset in planned order with weekly lot sizing.
Hi,
After i run MRP with a weekly lot sizing procedure, avaiability date = start of the period, the MRP groups all planned orders of the week at the first requirements date of that week.
But what i need is to put that group of the planned orders in the last working day of the week before.
For example:
Week
Friday Week n
Week n+1
Ind. Requirements
0
1
1
1
1
1
Planned order
5
Can you please help me how to solve this issue.
Thanks in advance.
MikeHi,
It is possible by configuring a version of the standart weekly lot sizing procedure. In customization for lot sizing procedures (tr. OMI4), copy the lot sizing procedure WB and name it. In the detail settings of the procedure set the scheduling field to 1. This makes the delivery date of the procurement proposal the period start (you requirement is the last day of the previous period, however this is the best next option). You may press F1 after clicking on this field and learn about other options. Please assign this new procedure to the material and test it.

How to trace planned order data after it has been converted into production
Hi, There,
The planned order has been converted into production order.
However, I need to trace if this planned order is generated by MRP
run or created manually. I can't get any planned order info from
table PLAF. Any input?
Regards,
NancyHi,
Once fully converted, the Planned Order data will not be available in the Table : PLAF.
If it is available, then You can have the details with the Time Stamp and User data from PLAF.
But, the refrence will be available in the Production Order.
You want to make a Track of the Planned Order details and the Quanity, then you need to have/create Z tables so that the data will be availabe.
This is how most of the Organizations keep a track of the Planned order data.
Hope this helps..

Confirmed date in sales order influenced by planned order dates
Hi,
My requirement is that the after the MRP is carried out and planned order is generated, the changes in the dates of the planned order, when carried out, shall accordingly influence the confirmed date of the sales order line item when the availability check is carried out in the sales order.
Say, the sales order has confirmed a line item for 25.05.2009. Once the MRP is carried out and planned order is generated and owing to unavailablility of a component, the planned order date (finish date) is manually re-scheduled to say 28.05.2009. My requirement is that the sales order confirmed date shall accordingly be re-scheduled when the availability check is carried out.
Additional Info : Strategy Group - 20,
Make-to Order scenario is employed,
Standard Item category TAN,
Requirement Class - 040.
Is this possible in standard SAP? If not, please suggest any custom developments that may be required. Looking forward for helpful replies.
Do revert back if more info required.
Regards,
Anil KumarHi Anil,
As Suggested in Above reply to your question.
If Materail component was not available and due to that you had to reshedule the planned order date manually, that definately will affect the material availability date, but i think if material availability will be run once again in Sales Order it will determine the new material availability date, and i dont think there is any need to carry out any enhancement.
Guru's Please correct me if I am wrong.

Issue about planned order date of ROH.
Hi Experts,
In MD04 , system is displaying planned order date of ROH after the planned order date of FERT i.e., for FERT---- planned order date is 21/01/2009 But for ROH -
planned order date is 23/01/2009.
can anyone tell me y its happening here.
regards,
sap pp
Edited by: sap pp on Jan 22, 2009 11:42 AMDear,
Go to the BOM of FERT and check the in component details and check Lead-time offset. Make it blank
In OPU3 and OPU5 Adjust dates in lead time scheduling should = 1 Adjust basic dates to order start date.
Then run the MRP in MD02 with planning mode 3 deleted and recreated and check your result.

Hi Guru's,
please explain how the planned order dates are calculated.
in MTS scenario if a delivery exists and another planned order is raised the system is not calculating dates as per dates given in the Material master.it is cheduling the order depending on the previous delivery date.
Please explain me How it is calculating the dates in planned order
Thanks
SatyaHi,
The scheduling is based on your MRP parameters. If you select the basic dates scheduling while running MRP, the system will consider the material master in house production time. It will not consider the routing standard values.
If you select the lead time scheduling, the system will explode the routing and it will calculate the operation time based on the standard values which we have maintained in the routing.
Always there will be some difference between these two type of scheduling. Lead time scheduling will be more accurate than the basic date scheduling.

Process Orders and Planned Orders data
Hi,
I am working on extracting process order and Planned Orders data into BW. I could not find any standard DataSources available for my req, so I want to develop generic extractor. the main key figures are Actual Labor and Machine Hours, Target Labor and Machine hours.
Please help me if there are any standard datasource available or ECC tables to pull the data or any standard function modules available.
Thanks,

Planned order date on requirement date
Hi ,
My indepenedt req is maintained for monday .By backward scheduling it gets planned on friday(i.e production endson friday)
How i can schedule the production to take place in current week . That is for PIR entered on monday , the production should be planned in the current week.
Are there any settings in lot size ?
Regards
ShankarRHi,
PIR date is the requirement date.
When you run MRP with this date, the system checks for Avaialble Stock and receipts and does the Net requirement calcualtion.procurement selection, BOM explosion and scheduling.
When it comes to scheduling, it looks for the requirement date and schedules it based on the scheduling parameters maintained for the Planned orders.OPU3
You can set the scheduling type as it forward or Current date scheduling .
If you set the Current date scheduling, the system will consider the start date as today and does the scheduling, if after the scheduling the availability date is past the requirement date anexception message is raised.
Hope this clarifies , please revert if you need any details.

Hi Experts,
May I ask for your help. I have a gr processing time of 1 and In-house production of 1 day as well. But whenever I run heuristic, it results in 4 days from start date to availability date. Say April 16 start date and availability date is April 20. Are there other factors on how this is computed?really hoping for a reply from you.
Thanks! Sincerely, RiaHello Ria,
Have you maintained any GR time in ECC?
I faced a similar issue (in PPDS order though) in which it was computing the availability date
first based on the GR processing time maintained in APO, when the order goes to ECC it would pick up the GR processing time maintained in ECC, and move the availability date of the order in APO.
We are working on code to stop this transfer back to APO.
Note 508993 gives more details about the FM.
You may try an option to stop the transfer from SAP R/3 since you are working with SNP planned orders:

Wrong Planned Order dates - MRP Run
Dear Experts,
Please guide to resolve the following problem:
I have uploaded the PIRs for 3 months. When I take the MRP run, the system is scheduling the planned orders for first 2 months only. For the 3rd month's PIR the planned order are created for the PIR dates only.
For example, if the PIR (for 3rd month) is maintained on 25th of the month. The planned orders for FG & SFGs are being created for 25th only. While for 2 months the Planned orders are properly scheduled.
What could be the reason for such behavior.
The planning horizon is 90 days.
Regards,
Rohit.Dear Rohit,
If you are running MRP with NETPL, then the Lead time scheduling will be carried out only for the planning harizon.
Try executing MRP you can select NETCH key.
or
If you want to run MRP with NETPL key, then please give In-house production time in workscheduling view as per the routing values. For example 1 day is the processing time and give the quantity for for 24 hr production. Then the sceduling will be carried out as per this values.
And change the planning harizon for detailed scheduling in OPU5 transaction.
Thanks and regards

How to handle the weekly planned order which cross month?
Dear All,
We do weekly production plan and balance the plant capacity by month. All the planned orders generated on each Monday and covered one week. But we need to measure the plant perfermance by month and use the monthly perfermance report. So there is a issue, when last week crossed two months, the planned order in that week will attribute to the first month. Therefor, the monthly perfermance reports can not captured very correct data.
Is there a setting which can split the weekly planned order into two month automatically at month end?
If not, what is the best way for us to do?
Thanks,
MayHi Rajesha,
Thanks for your quick reply. As your example, we have 4 weeks in a month. If there are only 28 days in M1, there is no issue. But most time, a month can not have 4 natural weeks.
For example. Month2 contains 31 days. So we have W1-4 (total 28 days) and extra 3 days, we can called it W5. The total demand in W5 is 100, but in the first 3 days, only maybe 50. As our lot size-U1, (1 week, beg. of week), in W5, all the volume will come to Monday. But we have only 3 days in this week in M2. So when we run monthly report, it tell us we need to product 100 in W5, plus W1-4, we need to do 500 in all. But actually in this month, we only need to do 3 days plus W1-4, only 450.
Now,here come to my question, how to deal with W5 planned orders? Can system split it automatically?
Best Regards,
May -
Dear All,
The sales order was input by the CSR on today the delivery date entered in the order was next day. Therefore, the planned order should have been todayu2019s date. This would give us enough time to manufacture the product and deliver to the customer as requested. But the planned get created for next day.
Planning strategy for material is 40 and MRP type is PD and Lot size EX and all scheduling parameters are 0 day.
Can you please update me the factors from sales order which affect planned order dates.
Regards,
p983331Hi
Basic dates depends on GR processing time, in house production time and opening period
In the material master two types of in house production times are available:
Lot-size Independent - (Integer values only) MRP 2 orWork Scheduling view
Lot-size Dependent - (real numbers - decimal) Work Scheduling view
also check SD processing time (pick/pack, Load, Transit)

Hi,
Please let me know where can we find out the date the planned order was created. In which table and which table it is tored. I have tried in table PLAF. Unable to find out this.
Regards,
V. Sureshhi
Please try
PLAF and Field PEDTR
Order start date is Basis start Date in the planned order.
If you go to Det Scheduling tab of planned order in a Planned order there option Basic Dates , there are two dates Start and Finish ... these are the dates required by you......opt for Help Window it Shows you a Description : "Order finish date in the planned order
Date, according to the planned order, that you should expect either the completion or the delivery of the planned order quantity."
