Weird 23" display pattern (picture)

Hi there,
A few months ago, my 23" cinema display has developed some kind of "marble" pattern , which appears to be underneath the screen surface.
I have followed numerous discussions on color consistency woes with this particular monitor, but I have never come across an issue like that one.
Unfortunately, I'm a few months out of warranty, and while the technical issue is annoying, (German) Apple customer service will not even discuss a possible rebate on repair costs for even a piece of their most expensive 'pro' equipment, let alone a replacement, as it seems.
That said, has anyone here seen anything like that before, and can possibly offer some advice on how to take care of it ?

The display backlight consists of multiple, often two or three, CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent tube) lamps. Behind the backlight is a reflective foil designed to spread the light evenly across the whole panel. To me, it looks like this foil has become crumpled in your display.
Unfortunately, since the foil is enclosed within the LCD panel assembly, there isn't an easy fix.

I have a text field that is subject to parameters regarding display (color, font, posture) in the initialize, enter, and exit event for the field. With this script, using the display patterns on the object palette apparently will not work because of the code. Seems like the logical solution would be to add a pattern definition in the exit event. However, I do not know the syntax for this. I am looking to apply a US currency pattern such as num{($z,zzz,zz9.99)} to the field. I have tried things like this.font.pattern = num{($z,zzz,zz9.99)}; but that does not seem to work.
Can anyone suggest the right code?

Change display pattern at run time

I have a date/time field which has display pattern set as MM/DD/YYYY...
During run time, if user clicks on a check box...the display should change to DD/MMM/YYYY...How can i do that?

You can do this with a little bit of script on your check box's Click event (in FormCalc in this example):

DateTimeField1.format.picture = "MM/DD/YYYY"

The trick is to know that in XFA, what Designer refers to as the "Display" picture is the <format> node which contains a <picture> which, in turn, contains the "display" picture; or, the picture used to
format the field's value for display purposes.
I've attached a sample form which demonstrates this.

There's a bug in iPhoto 9.5.1 and Mavericks that affects slideshows played directly from an album. The slideshow will not play correctly if the photos have been sorted manually. Any other type of sort, date, rating, keyword or title, will play correctly.
If you need that manual sort of pictures for your slideshow create the slideshow in iPhoto's slideshow mode.

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13 running? Have you updated 13 to 13.1 yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Updates?

You have not given us enough information with which to help you.
What are the properties of your source file that is presenting in the project with audio but no video?
Quickest way to gain that information is from brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video.

What does the file's thumbnail look like in Project Assets after it is imported....thumbnail with no image (gray), thumbnail with only an audio icon
within it, or other? On the Timeline, what do you see represented in Video 1....nothing as opposed to Audio 1 where you see the audio portion of
the file?
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer along with Premiere Elements 13/13.1? Are you running the programs as
administrator?
Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?

Reload the page. If it doesn't load, choose Activity from Safari's Window menu, find that picture in the list, and see what it says to the right; this may reveal what the problem is.

Displaying a picture or image in a java server page

I am using tomcat to load my java server pages. I need to display a picture in the page. Can somebody help?

The images are not located on my site, or computer, but rather they are located on different websites. This is what the browser recieves when the jsp runs:
<IMG SRC="http://www.thesite.com/images/theimage.gif"/>
and the site that is running the JSP is:
www.mysite.com/jsp/PicPage.jsp
Is this what you think maybe happening when the browser tries to process the linked image:
www.mysite.com/images/theimage.gif
I don't really understand the nuances of HTML, but if I specify a web address completely in the HTML then wouldn't that specified website be queried for the pictures by the web browser?

Open multitasking by double tapping the home button (at the bottom), a row of apps you've recently used should appear, tap and hold the photos app until it wiggles and displays an x, tap the x to close and then reopen the camera roll app. Let me know if it works. It's odd and frustrating, I know.

Then iPhoto has probably opened a new, empty library, because it could not find or access your iPhoto library. What happens, whiny double-click the Library to open it directly?
Where is your iPhoto library stored? Is it in the Pictures folder or on an external drive?

I am using Adobe PDF Form Designer. I am trying to dynamically assign a display pattern like MM/DD/YYYY to the Field tab - Display Pattern property. May I know how to do that?

After placing the date field in layout from data view, u will get tabs like field,layout,border etc..
In field tab under the edit pattern specify the pattern in which you want to display the date field.

I tried both of them with numeric type.I am still not getting my neagtive values.
When I tried ($zzz,zzz,zz9.99) & $zzz,zzz,zz9.99 ..I am geting output as $ 0.00
If I change object type to TEXT I am getting my value.. but output is like this
2123123.-
I need it as
2,123,123.00-
I am ok using TEXT type too but i am missing those zero's..

Can any one help me how to change the display pattern for decimal fields dynamically???
Currently I am using z,zzz,zzz,zz9.999 Display pattern for Quantity Field. If the value is blank it is displaying as 0.000 on the Screen. But I don't want this to be printed.
Please help me how to solve this ASAP.

Hi,
Alternatively you can handle it in the context.
In the context area, click on the quantity. In the bottom, click on the conditions tab, and put a condition
<quan field> NE initial.
So the field will not be printed if there is no value.

Display pattern questions

I would like to be able to set up a display patter that will add some asterisks or some other characters on each side of what ever a user enters in a field in order to flag the text. Is that possible? or is there a better way to do this than using display patters. I check the Designer help but could find much to answer my question.

'('$ZZ,ZZ9.99')' for your display pattern.
