Weird black icon on the upper right-hand corner where songs play.

I have no clue what it is, or what it means. It looks like a backwards "C" with a cent sign attached to it. There is nothing that I can find to tell me what it is or means. Friends have no idea about it. I've been to the manuals, but they are no help. Can this mysterious icon hurt my iPod Nano?

It could be some type of mojo. You never no what mojo's are out there. Have you tried any of the R's. It does wonderous things when iPod gets into a MOJO STATE.

10.4.7 Install: Lost icons in the upper right hand corner

Hi,
Just installed the update (10.4.7) and I have lost all of the icons in the upper right hand corner of my screen (battery/time/ect).
Anyone know how to recover those icons. I tried a repair permissions, to no effect.

It's the screen rotation lock symbol.
When your screen is locked, photos won't rotate when you turn you iPhone sideways (or visa versa)
It's for better viewing or a wider picture view.
You can change it with the same icon in the slider menu from the bottom of your screen (upper right side).
It toggles on or off.

The cloud icon means that they are only in the cloud, they aren't currently stored on your iPad, so there isn't anything to delete. You can turn off the showing of the books that are in the cloud via Settings > iBooks > Show All Purchases 'off'

Thunderbird does not have the menu button anymore in the upper right hand corner, where can I find it?

Do you have a Toolbar in the main window?
If not, hold down the <alt> key, tap V, select Toolbars and check the tickboxes.
If you have a toolbar with no Menu button, hold down the <alt> key, tap V, select Toolbars and then select Customize. A new window will pop up.
Arrange this window (move, resize) so you can see it and Thunderbird's toolbar. Find the Application Menu button in the customization pane, and drag and drop it into place on the toolbar.
I'm a bit nervous about giving these directions, since I use a layout that might appear somewhat old fashioned, and I'm not quite sure how it works in the modern Windows idiom where menus, toolbars and even titlebars seem to be optional. In fact, in my layout, the Application Menu button isn't even in the toolbar, and I don't know what name to give to where it is, alongside two calendar-related buttons. I'd guess it's part of the Tab Bar.

My ipod nano 6th generation doesn't appear on my itunes or my computer everything is up to date on my laptop and when plugged in theres a charging symbol on the battery in the upper right hand corner

Weird photo showing up in upper right hand corner of test messages I sent

I've looked through preferences and can't figure it out; there's a smallish icon-like photo of me that I took long ago that shows up in the upper right hand corner of my mail messages. It only shows up with messages to myself (tests, sent from yahoo and hotmail). Where in the world is this coming from and how do I turn it off? It didn't show up on my old Powerbook, but this is a new machine (iMac 20"), and an updated Mail program, so I'm not sure what's going on. I can't find anything about photos or pics in preferences. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this or turn it off? Thanks.

Stedman. Thanks. That wasn't actually what it was, but it got me poking around, so you solved it indirectly.
What it was was the photo on my Address book. That was selected to show up. So, I just turned that off.

It's been almost three years since I bought and set up my most recent Mac but if I recall correctly .....
When you initially set up your Mac, you were offered the opportunity to snap a photo of yourself in order to associate your photo with your user account on the computer. If you declined the photo I think the Mac will pick or suggest a picture from the preinstalled selections in the accounts pane of the system preferences. You can change the picture but you cannot delete it totally. That picture is part of your ID for that user account on the Mac.
If you want to change it, Open System Preferences and click on accounts. Click on your account to change the picture. You will have to unlock the preference in the bottom left corner - and to do that - you need to enter your password. Click on the picture of the Eagle and then all of the preinstalled photo choices pop up in another window. Select another photo and then clcik the lock icon again when you are done.

When I open an email, my computer won't go to the link listed, or when I am doing research the same thing, then I see a ALLOW in the upper right hand corner of the screen and I have to click on that. What happened and how do I fix this?

Somehow my settings have changed. When I open an email and there is a link, my computer won't allow it, also when I am doing a search, my computer won't allow certain links to open.
What I see is "ALLOW" in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and I have to click on that in order to continue my email or do a search. How did this suddenly happen and how do I change it back to being able to roam the Internet without having to click on ALLOW all the time?
Also, I set up Google as my home page, but it won't list Email or any other options. I have to type in Google in the Google box, then Email appears. How do I get the right Google set up as my home page so I can access Email without jumping through hoops.

For some reason, I accidentally hit a button which moved my Microsoft Start button to the upper right hand corner of the screen. I would prefer the Start button to be in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. Please advise.

Sorry, that isn't a Firefox support issue. The Start button is a part of the WinXP operating system. <br />

Just switched from CS6 to PS CC. I am very comfortable using ACR in previous versions. I liked to use the preview checkbox located in the upper right-hand corner to see before and afters. That checkbox is no longer in my version of PS CC. I see that they have side-by-side, top and bottom and right and left before and after options in the lower right-hand corner in this version. Is there anyway to get that legacy preview checkbox back so that I can use it?

Sounds that you have security software that doesn't trust Firefox and blocks internet access by default, so you need to check that out and make sure that Firefox gets full and unrestricted access to internet.
