Weird blurriness and improtning

Hello. I just got iLife '06, and I am trying to import a Screencast I just did. I just got this mac, so I have no prior experiance with iMovie. I create a new DV project, and I then drag the movie into iMovie. Here is what happens(http://rootsmart.com/1.jpg). That little image, is what looks like the first frame of the movie, except the movie is 1689X1050, so this is scaled down for some reason. Is that normal? O and the video is encoded with the Video setting in Snapz Pro X, and best quality. it is a 12.7 GB file. Alright so it takes quite a while to import, then once it imports, in the preview window, it is a little blurry. You can see that here (http://rootsmart.com/2.jpg). It isn't the video, because here is what it looks like when played in quicktime(http://rootsmart.com/3.jpg). Am I doing anything wrong?

NTSC DV is just 720x480 (rectangular) pixels.
So you should set SnapzPro to capture a 656x480 sized square pixel window. When you export that as 720x480 rectangular pixel NTSC .dv stream via QT Player Pro, the aspect ratio will be correct, and you minimize any scaling issues which might cause flicker on a TV.
Another alternative is to capture at some similar ratio (1312x960 etc) and blur the output, if needed.
Computer graphics and TV graphics are quite different.

Final output of Final Cut Express HD 3.5 is blurry and out of focus.

Using clear/sharp '.mov' files as clips. Doing simple editing, nothing fancy. When I finally output the project using 'Export/Using QuickTime Conversion,' the final is blurry and out of focus. I've tried every compression type (H264, Animation, etc.). Same problem. Anyone know why this is happening?
Although the specs for my computer are well within the Final Cut Express guidelines (I've even upgraded my graphics card to a Radeon 9800 Pro 256 MB), I'm still thinking that perhaps the G4 I'm using doesn't have enough juice to run the FCE software. By the way, I don't have any other programs active when using FCE. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here's what I'm (trying) to do:
I'm creating short 5 minute tutorial movies that will be distributed as QuickTime movies (burned to disk) for short run distribution (college).
Here's the process: the movie itself is a recording of monitor screen actions recorded (audio and video) using Snapz Pro movie mode. The recorded size is 800 x 600. There might be 5 such 1 or 2 minute clips. The quality is excellent. I bring them in to FCE, drop all the clips on the same track, and add simple transitions. That's it.
Now I need to somehow get a final QuickTime movie, with close to the same quality I had in the clips.
So... I take the FCE file, output it using 'Export>QuickTime Conversion,' using the same size I originally recorded in, 800 x 600. Tried every codec available. Every time, the end result is a very blurred version of the original Snapz Pro recordings.
I've even tried outputting the FCE file as 'Export>QuickTime Move' (not using the conversion method). Opened that up in QuickTime Pro with the same result: blurred and out of focus.
I'm viewing the exported file in QuickTime Pro, with the 'Movie Properties' setting of 'High Quality.'
Any clue? This is driving me crazy. But I'm determined to get this right.

my iphone 4 rear camera is blurry and i do not know why. i tried to turn it off and on and it still is the same. It is blurry with the flash on/off and even on HDR mode. PLEASE HELP!!

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?

Yes. Try Amazon.
Before you do upgrade to Snow Leopard, make sure your Mac meets the requirements.
Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard - Technical Specifications
Make sure the disc you tried using doesn't have any fingerprints or smudges on it. The optical drive can't read the disk otherwise.
If your Mac won't read the disc, might be a good idea to rule out any problems with the startup disk BEFORE trying to upgrade the system.

I did a quick search and came across this. Although it is for a 432, hopefully this imformation helps as canon printers are assembled relatively simular.

Blurry and shaking monitor on iBook G4.

I have an iBook G4 that is about 2.5 years old. Just today I started to have problems with my monitor. It's blurry in some spots, clear in others. (I can move a text file around on the screen and see the words go in and out of focus.) It also shakes, sometimes by as much as 10 or 15 pixels in any direction, about once every few seconds. I haven't dropped the laptop recently (or ever, to be honest) and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary that may have caused these problems. Does anyone have any clues or suggestions as to what might be going on?
If it helps to know: when the computer has just been turned on and is loading, everything is perfectly clear and normal. After the menu bar loads, the screen quickly becomes blurry and expands a bit (I know it "expands" because the dock is lower and closer to the periphery of the screen). The same thing happens when I shut down or restart my computer: it'll be blurry and shaking, but after all the applications close and it's ready to turn off I notice that my screen is clear and normally-sized again.
Thanks in advance for any help.
EDIT: Also, it might help to know that the shakiness doesn't seem to correspond to me moving my cursor or anything like that... and that the blurry spots are distributed throughout the screen and aren't just on the edges.

Hey Madam,
First try an external monitor and post back.
The first thing that comes to mind is the GPU and it's possible that a shim repair will fix it.

I have recenty bought a Belkin mini display port to hdmi adapter for my mac book pro. When i plug it in it does not fill my entire tv screen and theh image is blurry and the colors are horrible. I set the resolution to 1080p which my tv can handle and the picture did not change. Please help!

This is the fault of the Mac mini, due to it's under powered VGA port. Getting a new monitor MAY help, and would be the only choice really.
If you do get a new CRT, make sure it has a "gain" circuit to boost the incoming signal incase it's weak, as the mini is weak. VGA is SUPPOSED to be .7mV, but the Mac mini only outputs .5mV. If you get DVI, check out theMagius's list, that shows DVI monitors that work and don't..

Screen is blurry and shaking.

I always turn my iPhone off every night. And this morning my iPhone 4s screen is blurry and kind of shaking. What am I suppose to do? because I never dropped my phone or get any waters to it.Also my signal bar and the battery bar is kind of cut into half and I don't know why. IOS is 7.1. Thanks

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that
"my airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet!"
then after seconds it will goes back to the first message that

As stated, Firefox screen is blurry and unreadable (as if way out of focus). One day, it worked; the next, it did not. Not sure if there was an upgrade as I did not request or accept one. All I know is Firefox is unusable and I've had to switch to another browser just to get online. You cannot do anything in Firefox because everything is illegible.

I am confused what device you are talking about. You question is here in the Using iPhone section, but it is marked for your MacBook Pro running iOS 6? If you are talking about an iPhone and you never update your profile to say you are running iOS 7, I would blame the paralax feature that slightly zooms into your picture, making certain low-res photos look extra blurry. Hope this helps.

Screen blurry and shifts at horizontal halfway point when mouse moves??

i thought my glasses were dirty today... but after cleaning them i realize my screen is slightly blurred. it seems to only effect one half of the screen at any given moment and depends on the location of my mouse pointer. if it is in the top half of the screen the text there will be sharp and the lower half will be blurry and vise versa. Also it's as if the screen is stretching a few pixels because the bottom shifts noticeably. This is a tremendous nuisance and is making my eyes hurt.

Try using he key sequence option ⌘ 8. You may have accidentally turned zoom on in *Universal Access* in *System Preferences*

My high resolution pictures got blurry and pixelet when imported into i-mov

I am trying to import bunch of high resolution pictures into I-Movie, when run the test, pictures all look very blurry and pixelet (lost pixel). I even disable the Ken Burn Effect inside the picture settings. Is there a way to keep the same quality of those picture when put into the movie timeline?

SD video is just 1/3 megapixel. Importing a multi-megapixel image into iMovie turns it into a 1/3 megapixel image (or if you use Ken Burn: a 1/3 megapixel video).
Fear not. When you burn a DVD it will look just fine.
IMPORTANT: When sending to iDVD from iMovie, iMovie may tell you that some stills are not rendered. Do NOT let iMovie render them. iDVD will do a much better job rendering them.
