Weird Bounce-back of an email address that is not even in my contacts!
Hey folks,
Recently I have been getting a bounced back email from an address that is not even in my contacts (I use outlook). It's only when I send an email to a particular person. She gets the email, but I get this bounce back from a SIMILAR email. It is annoying, and confounding.
I have scanned my laptop regularly with updated McAfee and Spybot, and have found nothing. I am using Vista Home and it is all updated as well.

If the message is being received and you are only sending to a single address on the sending line, then I would say the error is likely on the receiver's end (maybe they have a forward setup to the bogus address?). If you could include the full headers (email addresses redacted) of the message which is bouncing back, maybe someone here can spot something and suggest something further.

The only way to remove those email addresses is to do a factory restore of the phone which wipes all data. In my opinion, easier to live with the address.

Yes, just open mail and click on the window menu and select previous recipients, when the window opens start edit your email addresses.

Every time I try to send an Adobe file the "verification" process shows an email address that is NOT mine. Files cannot be sent because verification always fails.

I have incorrectly entered an email address that is not valid. I have requested the change to the correct email but if cannot verify it as the verification email is being sent to the email address that I entered incorrectly and is invalid. Help!

forgot security questions and if i try to send the reset instructions, it sends it to an email address I'm not even aware of. i cannot download anything until i change the security questions
this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.

I recently changed my apple ID after I deleted my old email address which is no longer recoverable. I cannot get the find my iphone app to work. When I log in to try and change my apple id to the current one, or delete the account, it asks me for my password to the old email (apple id). I have no idea how to change this to be current. The password for my old apple id will not work and I am going in circles. When I log into the app and use my current apple id it does not locate any of my devices. They all say they are offline but are not. Any suggestions or help on how to unlink my old apple id to this app??

You may need to temporarily change your Apple ID back, sign out of iCloud on your device, then revert the change to your Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

How do I delete an email address that cannot be found in my contacts app
An unknown email address always pops up when I try to select a recipient
That email address cannot be found anywhere in the contacts app when I try to get it deleted.
It is an invalid address, as when I sent out a testing email, it was bounced as delivery failed.
Is there a way to delete it ?
Thank you.No there is no way to delete it. The addresses that the mail app "remembers" have nothing to do with what is in the Contacts App. If you mistakenly typed an incorrect email address at one time in the mail app - it is going to continue to come up as a suggestion from now on. There is no way to remove those short of restoring the iPad as a new device.

Strange email from Apple regarding my email address that is not my Apple ID
I just recieved the below email. Funny thing is that this is my email address but it is not my Apple ID. Is someone phishing? this is a phone that I used to own but it has long since expired. At 3:29 est I received 2 email from a Mark Kemsley titled quotation jrhfexl which I opened. A few minutes later I tried sending an email and an error message showed saying that I had exceeded my quota. However I have only sent 1 email today. I checked my sent folder and I saw several emails sent from an electronic email address that I am unaware of. Has my email been hacked? If so what can I do about this problem?
Start computer in Safe mode and run scans for virus's, malware etc.
Then restart computer normally and logon to webmail and change password.
You will need to update password in Thunderbird if it has been instructed to remember it.
Contact your ISP or Google etc depends on where the email account is with.
Tell them your problem of exceeded quota and that someone has been using your email address without your knowledge. They may be able to see if it was from a different IP address from yours and offer more help. -
since i updated i keep getting a message from the cloud on an old email address I don't even have registered anymore. I tried to delete it and it won't let me. any suggestions? help
I'm having this same problem and yet, I did not migrate my software from one computer to another.
I downloaded AE CC 2014 off of Adobe's installer.
I can't get my workspace to be remembered at all. I can make different workspaces, naming each one. But when AE restarts they are all gone.
Any one else with this problem?

I am trying to reset my apple id -- my iphone defaults to an apple id that is not valid any more. I have tried to reset my apple id using my computer -- and that seems to work but my iphone still default to the old apple id and when I try to reset my primary email on the apple website, it will not accept it and tells me that my old email address is verified -- but it is no longer valid. What can I do?
Use Safari and you will probably not have the same problem.

How to delete an iCloud account and turnoff Find my Phone for a email address that does not exist
I have switched my itunes account to a new email address but the iCloud account is still registered to the old email account which I can no longer access.
If I go to Settings>iCloud it requests my Apple ID password for the old email account but as this account does not exsist it does not accept the "old" password. it will not let me delete the account without turning off the Find My Phone app which aslo needs the old password.
A related probelm is none of my apps will update as they are on the old account hence the need to delete the iCloud email account and create the new iCloud with the new email sign on address.If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address (you won't need to verify it) and save the change. You should now be able to use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. After turning it off you can delete the account, go back change your ID back to the way it was again.

In Mail, you can go to the Window menu and choose Previous Recipients. This is a list of email addresses to which you have sent messages. It is separate from your contact list in Address Book.
