Weird character 'u00A4' display at output of ADOBE form in SAP for amount

When display pattern for amount field is set for ADOBE form in SAP, output displays ' ¤ '.
All display patterns shows '$' at the begining, but when output is generated it displays '¤'.
Advice me how to eliminate this. (or)
Is there a way to hide this character.

I am not saying this is your problem BUT I was troubled for quite a while by having unprintable characters imbedded within text fields. It turns out that Ctrl V character was being embedded within text by user.
So I suggest that you view the data while in debug and do it in hex. This was the only way I was able to see that I had a problem with the text itself. Then I was able to add logic to filter for these errors.

Call for adobe form is going for dump for multiple users

hi,
i am calling an adobe form in a program i.e. for multiple users. now my problem is.....
3 people are using same tcode to generate the adobe form output for different data. but when they click at a time on the button to generate the adobe output, then adobe form is coming for only one user and it is going for dump for other users.
and this dump is coming because of exception "CX_FP_API_INTERNAL" in funtion module FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME which i am using to get the function module name of the adobe form in my program.
can u please give me some solution to rectify this issue....

An engineer and I contacted Adobe technical support by phone to ensure the PC I was having custom built was configured to its optimum. They advised XP64 as the best operating environment. After that discussion we had to completely revise procurement, etc to get the bits and compatible XP64 compatible software, putting the build project back a few weeks as well, Imagine how I laughed when I found out on one of these forums that XP64 is the worst choice and totally unsupported by CS4!
I have written to Shantanu Narayen, Adobe CEO and didn't even get an acknowledgement I raised this last week on the Adobe stand at BVE and was told they'd get someone to contact me asap but guess what, niet...! To be fair there has been one Adobe executive that recognises the problem and the damage poor customer support is causing the company; he has been as helpful as he can. Unfortunately, it seems the overall Adobe culture at the top is "get the money and run". If your problem goes beyond what's already on their web pages, tough luck!

Merging Smartform Output and Adobe Form Output in a single PDF File

Hi All,
My Requirement is as follows -
I have multiple Smartforms and a single Adobe Form.
I want to merge the Smartform Outputs and Adobe Form output in a single PDF.
I am able to merge multiple Smartform Output in a PDF , but not able to find any way to merge smartform and adobe form output as the Smartform output is in OTF Format and Adobe form output is in PDF Format itself.
I have tried few ways , but could not find any success.
Request you all to give me some direction to this problem.

I am afraid this is not possible using SAP functionality. There are probably 3rd party tools which allow you to merge several PDFs into one, but SAP itself does not offer such a mechanism. There is an internal SAP function, though, which can merge several "parts" (=several PDFs) within an Adobe-created spool request into a single PDF, intended for downloading this PDF from SP01.
This is described in note 1717357.

Problem in Sending Fax output in Adobe form

Hi All,
I am creating RFQ / Purchase order with output type : NEU, Medium : 2 (Fax). While creating output for the purchase order in transaction ME9F (adobe form), a popup window appears prompting for Output device.(NAST-DEST). For Fax as output medium NAST-DEST doesnot have any value. For print, it would be Printer name. This problem is not only with custom driver program but also seen when assigning standard program :SAPFM06P and standard adobe form : MEDRUCK_PO and standard routine : ADOBE_ENTRY_NEU.
There is absolutely no issue with SAP Script and I can see the output in SCOT.
Please let me know if there is any configuration settings to be arrived for FAX output medium using ADOBE FORM.

Need to display multiple lines of output in adobe form..

i have an internal table data which needs to be displayed on my adobe form as multiple lines . how do i design my form in SFP ??
actually i alerady have a form whose layout is life one header line and one detail line..i dont see anywhere any property that i can set to say i want to repeat that detail line multiple times. so whats the way to do this ?

That was a bit helpful. But what i am looking for is that i will be having a table inserted in the layout with 2 rows. One in which i will type the header text and the other row will have the text elements in each of the column to hold the field values. So my design is predefined in the form. The example u show is a blank form to which we write rows of data. But i need some additions to it like drawing a table around it with a header line.
can we design that thru the driver program ?? or is there any other way ?

How to display Formatted text in adobe form

In adobe form, I want to display the text which is inputed by formatted text edit in WD ABAP application.
It is always displayed as plain text like '<p>this is test text.</p>'. I have set the attribute Data Format to XHTML, Field Format to Rich Text for the Text Field in adobe form. But it doesn't work.
How to display these formatted text?

I found Your blog and found it really interesting... though I was not able to use it: I (like Jun Li is asking, I guess) need to use a dynamic text, containing formatting informations (according the xhtml syntax).
I tried to pass it to the form by an ABAP-dictionary based interface and by means of the context (in a webdynpro page), but both tries failed.
Some suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
if you send a text into a text field to the print form, it looks like a paper print, you cannot tell where there is a picture and where is the text. So you don´t care about the image/ text problem. If you need to make difference between two for the user, you can put the text (your image) into a rectangle, use a background or anything like this.
Why would the image make any difference?

Best way to Display a tree in Adobe Forms i.e. Classification

As I am new to Adobe interactive and do not have the experience that many of you have, I am posting a general question in that what is the best way to display a tree like structure of data in Adobe Forms so that a user can select a 'leaf' node easily.
I have looked at and coded drop downs that drive the data in the next drop down and it seems to work but it is not pretty and is a lot of work to handle the requirements for different levels of data. we have suggested that they select the Classification in a Webdynpro pop-up before they go into the form meaning that the classification will only work when they are on line. I looked briefly at using imbeded tables but they would be too big(should I look at them further?).... There could be upwards to 3000 rows in the classification table.

How to configure output for adobe forms in sap,,if i want to pront an invo

I used adobe forms in GTS.
BUt in normal SAP system,i want to use adobe form to print an invoice data.
I wantt o use the standard form and standard interface for that.
But how to do configuration for this?
normally for smartforms we do it in NACE transdaction?
But for this adobe forms what is the driver program,,where to configure this form and interface.

Fax output in Adobe forms

Hello Gurus,
I have requirement to send fax of an adobe form from my program. In FM "FP_JOB_OPEN", we have parameter "DEVICE" where we can give as "TELEFAX" and Other parameter is there where we can get the PDF i.e. through the parameter "GETPDF".
But, Later am not understanding where to give the Fax Number n so on details....
Please let me know how to proceed further.

Here, we have different options to send.
For Printer, We use the set of code.
                 Pass the parameters in OUT structure.
                 sample :
                              out-device = 'PRINTER'         " in case of Printer
                              out-nodialog = 'X'.
                              out-dest = par_priz.    " Normally for the printer, We specify the printer name
                              out-reqnew = 'X'.
out-reqimm = 'X'.
out-reqdel = 'X'.
                              out-reqfinal = 'X'.
For EMail, We use the set of code.
                 Pass the parameters in OUT structure.
                 sample :
                              out-device = 'MAIL''         " in case of Printer
                              out-nodialog = 'X'.
                              out-getpdf = 'X'.              "It will return the PDF
We will call FM FP_JOB_OPEN, Next Call Adobe Form Generated FM will return PDF , Next based on return PDF, we send the mail using FM "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1".
For Fax, Do we need to this set of code... Confirm this.....

ADOBE form - page reset for the second SO

Iam working on sales order form ( ADOBE Form). Nneed to display SO header and item details.But it is not for a single SO and it is for multiple SOs.First i need to display one sales order and its items after completing the all items of the first SO , the second SO details should come in the next page. This is fine, i have done this, but for the second SO the page numbers should start from 1. That means the page no has to be reset for each SO change.Suppose assume that, if the first SO is taking 2 pages for printing item details and second SO is taking 3 pages for printing item details then the page nos should follows the below sequence:
First SO : 1 of 2
                2 of 2
second SO : 1 of 3
                    2 of 3
                    3 of 3.
but it is printing as 1 of 5, 2 of 5 ..... like this. Because we are using the system field for this.Can we reset the page numbers according to the condition?
