Weird colors after installing SL
Yesterday I upgraded to SL, on my classic MacBook Pro and colors now look strange to me, it's like they are much darker and much more...uhm...colored. The MBP is attached to a 21" ACD on which I have always used the default color profile that came with the display. The same profile is currently selected. Someone else has experienced this ?
Have you used Display prefs to recalibrate and make sure the new (PC) gamma is in effect for both displays? I'd try making new profiles to be sure you're taking advantage of your new OS.
Also, you might try resetting some of the hardware involved (PRAM~NVRAM). See this Apple KB for details, etc.:

Can't hurt to try, and apparently this has helped others recently.

Iphone 3GS weird behavior after installing ios 4
after i intalled the ios 4 the same day my iphone went crazy, it started vibrating for no reason and the Clock on the lock screen went nuts the time started changing by itself and really fast i thought my phone was posessed i have never seen this type of behavior on a phone.
Then a weird sound came up after i hang up a call it started beeping a weird sound for like 5 secs (not an iphone sound) so i had to turn it off and back on so that was fixed. and when i get a sms when talking it started echoing in the background instead of beeping once like always.
and now the new problem. some songs start skipping like i was playing them on a scratched cd... the songs never skipped on my iphone.. i dont know whats going on with this.
Can somebody help me?
Is anybody having the same problem or maybe is my phone?? but i never had a problem with it till i updated to the ios 4Mine is not doing those things, it is doing something else. After installing iOS4 my iPod portion of my phone wont stay open. I hit the iPod icon and it opens and stays open for about 2 secs then automatically closes. I have rebooted the phone several times however it is still doing it and I cannot listen to my music. Hopefully any advice that can be given to marce83 might be helpful to me to.

Really WEIRD problem after install
I just got an old Quicksilver from work so I can do some work from home, but I had to buy the apps, including Adobe CS3. So I needed Tiger.
Found out I couldn't install from an external DVD.
Then when I went to work, half hour away, booted the new drive as targeted firewire and installed from a comp with a HD there, came home to do the internet updates but it wouldn't boot.
Went back, clean install, wiping partition I'm putting it on. Did the option of connecting it to my old computer (dragged old AND new computer to work), then updated. Now it's home.
When it boots up, iCal crashed at about the same time I get an error message that Norton Antivirus can't run or something.
I've never had NAV. Had Systemworks. Doesn't say what program version it is, so I can't prove I never had it on the old (and we never had it on the one at work) AND I wiped the ******* AND partitioned it before starting.
Anyone heard of anything like this?
Got a 933 mhz PowerPC Quicksilver, 1 gig of Ram.

After installing Solid Edge ST6, fonts on IE (like facebook) looks weird.
Hi
After installing a Educational copy of Solid Edge 6, fonts look weird. It has happened before and I then I uninstalled Solid Edge and the problem was gone. Right now I have to use it for school work and kinda hate browsing facebook and other pages that the
font looks messed up. They look like are pushed from the sides and look kinda thin. Weirdly pages like YouTube and Google look alright. It is not the browsers fault, because the problem is on Chrome aswell.
If needed, the laptop is a HP ProBook 470 G0, running windows 8 pro.
Thanks.Hi,
Check if this helps?
IE\Tools\Internet Options\General, under the "Apperance"\"Fonts" change the Font settings.
As
Milos Puchta mentioned, it's better to contact Siemens support for this issue also happens on Chrome.

Purple color for Start button and Settings app dissapear shortly after install completes
I have just completed a Reset of the latest win10 build 10041 to see if it would fix the error of all the grey colors. Settings app is grey and the start button is grey. Looks nothing like the screenshots I see on the web.
After install was completed and the desktop showed up, the color on the Start menu had the purple color. After a minute the screen went black with a white square in the top left corner. I pressed the Start button and the desktop was recreated but now the
Start button was back to the grey color.
I experienced exactly the same with the previous builds.
Anyone know how to fix this?Hi,
Could you please share a snapshot with us so we can better understand what happened? Regarding to the "gray", do you mean that it just has been changed to a gray color\usable or the button is totally gray out\unusable?
If it is related to color, then right click the desktop\Personalize\Color, you can change the color as you want.
If not that case, the Settings app is totally unusable, then please Open the
administrative Command Prompt and paste the following command there and hit
Enter key:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\ImmersiveControlPanel\AppxManifest.xml

HP 5510 wil not print in black ink after installing a new black ink cartridge
My HP 5510 printer will not print in black ink after installing an official HP black ink cartridge. I see other people have had the same problem. I have gone through all the troubleshooting suggestions.
I would like to know if anyone has been able to fix this problem. I just spend money on a new XL cartridge. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.Hi @obxgirl,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some print quality issues on your HP Photosmart 5510, you are unable to print in black ink.
I would like you to continue here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in as well as the product Warranty status: HP Warranty Checker
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks,
HevnLgh

Hi,
I just freshly installed a guest OS Windows 2012R2 on a Hyper-V 2012R2 server. Installed lots of updates and did many reboots, after that I installed the AD component. Couple of days later I'm having trouble with a RemoteDesktop server joining the domain.
After some research I see in the DNS log the following message:
Type: Warning
User: N/A
Computer: Fileserver.domain.com
Source: DNS
Catagory: None
Event ID: 4013
The description for Event ID ( 4013 ) in Source ( DNS ) cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer, or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer,
or contact the component manufacturer for a newer version.
If the event was saved from another computer or forwarded from a remote computer, you might have to include display information with the events when saving them or when setting up the forwarding s .
This message is followed up with:

I did a restore from an earlier point, recreated the ActiveDirectory, but messages still coming in DNS log. I started from scratch with installing a new guest OS Windows 2012R2, directly after loging in first time, I installed AD component, and
give the server a reboot. and got the events below that looks normal:
Type: Warning
User: N/A
Computer: Fileserver.domain.com
Catagory: None
Event ID: 4013
The DNS server is waiting for Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) to signal that the initial synchronization of the directory has been completed. The DNS server service cannot start until the initial synchronization is complete because critical DNS
data might not yet be replicated onto this domain controller. If events in the AD DS event log indicate that there is a problem with DNS name resolution, consider adding the IP address of another DNS server for this domain to the DNS server list in the Internet
Protocol properties of this computer. This event will be logged every two minutes until AD DS has signaled that the initial synchronization has successfully completed.

The DNS server has finished the background loading and signing of zones. All zones are now available for DNS updates and zone transfers, as allowed by their individual zone configuration.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
After that I create snapshots after installing every (10-15 updates), reboot, check dns log, and almost the last update, the KB2975719 and/or
KB2995388 is giving the weird messages in the DNS log.

Any idea?
Kind regards,
StevenHi Steven,
Would you please tell us that is the event 4013 logged continuously?
If this event is only logged after reboot or restart DNS service, then it is a normal behavior.
As we can see Event 4, which indicates that the DNS zones have been loaded successfully.
In addition, if Event IDs 4523 and 4524 are being logged after the Event 4013, then there is no problem with DNS service.

Monitor calibration problems after installing windows 8.1
I have a hp envy m6-1105tx and right after installing windows 8.1 my monitor changed completely.
When i have a photo open in photoshop tones, colors luminosity, gamma etc are all wrong. Before i never had problems, when i looked at a photo in photoshop and i will see the photo on a different screen it would be basiclally identical but now the photo in photoshop is much different than the actual photo, and this doesn't apply only to photoshop but to everything. I already try to do the calibration through the control panel but it didn't improve the situation, is there a way to get the screen back to the way it was before?
ThanksWehodancer, welcome to the forum.
I checked for an updated driver for the video, but there is none for Win 8.1. Therefore, I suggest installing the original driver for the video to see if it helps. It may be that it was corrupted during the update process.

Issues with DNG Flat Field Plug-in after installing updates
Hello,
First of all many thanks to the Lightroom-team for making the DND Flat Field Plug-in available. I am using it to correct images taken with non-retrofocus M-mount lenses on a Sony NEX-7. I have previously used CornerFix, which worked fine, but the workflow in conjunction with Lighroom isn't really convenient.
Now to the issue I am facing: initially, the plug-in worked very well, but after installing all recent CS6 updates, I am now receiving the following after selecting the reference image:
A new DNG-file is still created, with some adjustments being made, but it looks like not all vignetting and color casts are being corrected. After dismissing the above message, Lightroom keeps showing the flat field correction task as still in progress:
This can be cancelled, and I can continue to use LR without any problems. When I attempt another flat field correction, I face the same issue.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? And is it possibly correlated with the installation of a specific CS6 update (of which there have been quite a few over the past week or so)?
I should probably note that I'm running LR 4.2 on Mac OS X 10.7.5 and a Mac Pro 2008 with 24GB RAM.
TIA for any feedback!
Best,
RonI had the exact same issue with LR4.2, that is until yesterday. Then I did not get the error but I did not get the flat field image either. All I got was the original image indicating that it was in a group of two but the second image was not there. Tried synchronize but no image was indicated.as available. Processing did not hang and indicated that it went to completion. Must be a problem with 4.2 as it worked with 4.1. With 4.1 I got no grouping, just a new file with "ff" appended to the name.
Asside: I am using a shift adapter with a E-M5 and 28mm OM legacy lens. I shoot three images for a pano, then set the shift back to starting point and shoot three flat field image. Problem (not Adobe's fault) it that I often forget to shoot the flat fliel images. Break down to move on and then realize - Oh Crap! When I remember and using 4.1 it works well.
