Weird error in default log

Any idea what this is. In checking with colleagues who might run reconstruct, no one had... Does it run automatically? It seems to have failed, perhaps crashing and the restarting the store?
We are running 6.3-5.02. (120228-25/Solaris Sparc).

I didn't find any cores, but it looks like someone ran reconstruct and when it crashed, down went the servers

Any help !!
Thanks in Advance

Hello,
That is coming from a service broker activated stored procedure in the database which looks like it is there because of notification services. Since you've just moved the database to another server, chances are the broker IDs aren't correct:

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)
* On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
* Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshooting extensions and themes article for that.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.
Thank you.

• JDev 11g update 1 base edition on windows: error building default domain

Hi all,
(refer to [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=3168105]here for original post)
I'm posting this again with some more information. When downloading the Studio Edition (Base - no JDK) version of JDeveloper 11g update 1, an error occurs upon first (and each subsequent) startup of JDeveloper (error details below).
Tests that I have done:
1). Install using JDK 6 u 11 - JDK did not show up automatically in the installer, had to browse to find it and select it. Running using 6u11, 6u10, and 6u7 (deleting the system directory after each try) - error occurs.
2). Install using JDK 6 u7 - JDK was automatically found by the installer. Running using 6u7, 6u11, and 6u10 (deleting the system directory after each try) - error occurs
These errors do not occur when using the Windows installer. For information: my machine is Windows 2008 Server Standard 32-bit. An update - I just tried this on a Vista 64-bit laptop (running Sun 32-bit JDK 6u10) and did not have the problem. Ergo, this seems to be an issue with the JDK and detecting Windows 2008 as a Windows platform (or possibly with whatever mechanism JDev/WLS is using to detect the OS platform). I'll do more research on that and update if I find anything.
One more update: I didn't find any issues reported like this related to Windows 2008, but I did one more test: install and run JDeveloper using:
java version "1.6.0_05"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13)
BEA JRockit(R) (build R27.6.0-50_o-100423-1.6.0_05-20080626-2105-windows-ia32, compiled mode)                                                                   The issue does not occur using this JDK. So to summarize, installing JDev 11g update 1 Studio edition, base installer using any of the SUN JDK's on Windows 2008 gives this problem. Using the windows installer or JRockit Mission Control JVM - no problems.
Finally, one last update - the error is related to the JVM that is used to install, not the one used to run JDeveloper (via editing jdev.conf) - the offending JDK is in wlserver_10.3\common\bin\commEnv.cmd. Seems like a no-no to have one JDK running JDev and another running the integrated WLS, though. Quite a pity, as JDev starts up pretty slowly using JRockit Mission Control.
JRockit Realtime seems to be a bit faster... sigh - now to remove the 72 extra JDK's on my laptop ;)
My going forward plan: use the Windows installer. Wish I never installed Windows Server 2008.

• IC webclient: errors by default

Hi,
after a default installation(upgrade,WAS 6.20 & CRM 4.0.), some errors occur in the browser while running the IC webclient.
For example some pages ("Cases","Interaction Record", see below) are not displayed properly and some fields are filled with NULL instead of the right values (after opening an account).
This might be based on the error which appears after loading (as a message: "Error:  Failed to log on to the communication management software system".)
Any suggestion how to fix this?
Thank you.
Example: Interaction Record (IRecReason.htm)
View IRecReason.htm Cannot Be Displayed
An Exception OccurredException Class CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL
Text: Dereferencing of the NULL reference.
Program: CL_CRM_IC_IRECREASON_IMPL=====CP
Include: CL_CRM_IC_IRECREASON_IMPL=====CM00J
Source Text Row: 18

Hi Wolfram,
Did you confirm the account before going into Interaction Record?

Does the error appear on all outlook clients?
Do you use organizational forms library? (KB

The error can be caused by incorrect permission on the “EFORMS REGISTRY”, so please run the cmdlet below to check the permission on

Get-PublicFolderClientPermission “\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\EFORMS REGISTRY”
Per my research, you can avoid this error by removing all the subfolders in the “EFORMS REGISTRY” folder, if you don’t use organizational

• 500 Errors in IIS Logs Preventing DB Connections - See Errors

Issue: A handful of users connecting to our database via IIS web page are saying they are getting "page cannot be dispalyed" error message as soon as they try to access the web page and make the initial database connection. I am seeing a significant number of 500 errors in the IIS logs. We turned tracing on for more details and came across th following two errors:
The first error -
Module Name : IIS Web Core
HTTPStatus : 500
HTTPReason : Internal Server Error
HTTPSubStatus: 0
ErrorCode : 2147943395
ErrorCode : The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an applicaiton request.
The second error -
ErrorCode : 2147943629
ErrorCode : An operation was attempted on a nonexistent network connection.
Specs: IIS 7 Windows 2008 64 Bit .NET 3.5 Service Pack 1 OO4O Connection version 10.2 Oracle 11G DB
Historically when seeing 500 errors in the logs it indicated a database issue - that was pretty obvious once we researched it further. These errors aren't quite as "clear cut". Any suggestions?

Unfortunatelly you are right. The real questions here are:
1. why does OEM silently "hate" the "magic" word "localhost", and what is it that makes difference between "localhost.localdomain" and "hostlocal.domainlocal" (or anything else)? They are just words consisting of letters. Furthermore, the "localhost" is traditional linux hostname for local machines with no network, only loopback interface, and Oracle should respect this fact
2. what does OEM's silent "animosity" towards the word "localhost" has to do with a perl script error like this: "ERROR: Max Count Value not set properly in file /usr/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1/sysman/config/esa/database.properties line no. 44"?
3. why is such OEM's behaviour not documented in the installation manual? Why is there even no warning during OEM configuration, either with dbca or manually?
Therefore I consider this OEM's behaviour being a bug par excellence. Changing the name of host to something different than "localhost" is just a weird workaround. Let me remind you that Oracle is a multi-billion dollar company with more than $22 billion total revenues, and it cannot play the games with its customers ignoring such a thing.

Along the lines that Fabian suggested, this is what you can do now.
Create a new domain and compare the config.xml of that new domain with the existing one you have issues with. This should give you the an indication of the changes that need to be reverted from the existing config.xml.
And as already suggested, always take a back of the config.xml before you make any changes. :)
Thanks,
Patrick

• [DG Physical] ORA-00368: checksum error in redo log block

Hi all,
I'm building a DR solution with 1 primary & 2 DR site (Physical).
All DBs use Oracle 10.2.0.3.0 on Solaris 64bit.
The first one ran fine for some days (6), then I installed the 2nd. After restoring the DB (DUPLICATE TARGET DATABASE FOR STANDBY) & ready to apply redo. The DB fetched missing arc gaps & I got the following error:
==================

===================
I see that may be RFS get the file incorrectly so I ftp to get this file & continue the apply, it pass. Comparison the RFS file & ftp is difference. At that time, I think that something wrong with the RFS because the content of arc is not right. (I used BACKUP VALIDATE ARCHIVELOG SEQUENCE BETWEEN N1 AND N2 THREAD X to check all arcs the RFS fetched, there was corrupt in every file);
I restore the DR DB again & apply incremental backup from the primary, now it run well. I don't know what's happening as I did the same procedures for all DR DB.
Yesterday night, I have to stop & restart DR site 1. Today, I check and it got the same error as the 2nd site, with corrupted redo. I try to delete the arcs, & let RFS to reget it, but the files were corrupt too.
If this continue to happen with the 2nd site again, that'll be a big problem.
The DR site 1 & Primary is linked by a GB switch, site 2 by a 155Mbps connection (far enough for my db load at about 1.5MB/s avg apply rate).
I seach Oracle support (metalink) but no luck, there is a case but it mentions max_connection>1 (mine is default =1)
Can someone show me how to troubleshooting/debug/trace this problem.
That would be a great help!
Thank you very much.

• Create database fails with error ORA-01505: error in adding log files

hi all,

sorry to revive this thread but i have one more issue with this. I created a database with DBCA insetead of CREATE DATABASE command and selected option for Fast Recovery Area space. This automatically set initialization parameter db_recovery_file_dest and db_recovery_file_dest_size, but did not create a OMF redo log group, but instead created three redo log groups with 1 member each.
select * from v$logfile returns:
1          ONLINE     /u01/app/oracle/oradata/testdb2/redo01.log     NO
2          ONLINE     /u01/app/oracle/oradata/testdb2/redo02.log     NO
3          ONLINE     /u01/app/oracle/oradata/testdb2/redo03.log     NO
Any idea why if creating a database with create database command and specifying db_recovery_file_dest creates an OMF redo log group and with DBCA it doesn't?

• COEBR Unable to generate batch records - weird error!

Hey Experts,
I am trying to create Electronic Batch Records using COEBR. Unfortunately, I am getting a weird error. After a few batches get selected based on the selection criteria, when I click "Batch Record" I get the message "Unable to generate batch records". But when I reselect the same batch and click "Batch Record" again I get the following message: "Batch record(s) successfully generated". But actually no batch record gets created...SAP is lying to me!!!! The icing on the cake - no logs get created as well.
The "Batch record required" indicator is set both on the Material Master (Work Scheduling) and the Order-Type dependant parameters.
One more thing, I was able to generate one, just one Batch Record but thereafter the darn thing broke!!!
I am stumped, really need some help.
Thank you in advance.

Himani,
If you want to just create PDFs from FM via the command line, then using one of the available FM batch utilities might be an easier route.
Check out:
DZbatcher at: http://www.miramo.com/english/overview/download.html
runfm as part of mif2go and is fully functional in the mif2go demo. See: http://mif2go.com/xhtml/runfm_0002_363understandingrunfmcommandlinesyntax.htm#Rz134x44547

vncserver (for virtual screens :1 and such) is working well btw and there is no firewall installed on that box. It's a twinview setup if that matters. I have no idea what's wrong...
Any idea?

To run x11vnc from ssh session you either have to "su" to root or run x11vnc from local console.
AFAIK shared memory access from different virtual terminal is disabled by default so you have to have root priviliges to access it.
Sorry this bit of necromancy, but i've searched the net about this problem and could't find any specific pointers so now hopefully google will find this solution

Oddly it only happens when I try connecting a usb drive to my system, or at least it seams this way, I don't know why because the graphics driver should have nothing to do with the USB controller or so one would think.  I don't see anything in the Xorg log related to this error just within the kernel log.  Anyone else getting these errors?

Apologies for not replying sooner... In our scenario we matched 8.1.6 ODBC with 8.1.6 Oracle client, but whenever certain symbols are passed from the program we are developing the ODBC call would fail. These came calls work correctly when using 8.1.5 ODBC with 8.1.5 oracle client...

For example the following SQL statement when issued from our software will work when talking to an Oracle 8.1.5 setup but not with an 8.1.6 setup

We have been forced to revert to 8.1.5 in order to deliver the product to the customer.
