Weird glitch. Everytime I open Photos app, it instantly creates a new email

Empty address bar and what isn't even the newest picture in the roll. I even deleted all instances of the picture it is using and it still does it. As soon as I open up Photos, I just tries to email that same picture everytime. It's annoying having to click cancel, then delete draft every-time. I checked my drafts folder too, empty. What's going on?

I feel bad because I can never remember the names of the people I talk to at customer support but thank you to the very nice lady who helped me. (Rita?, Lisa? Linda? Sorry!)
Anyways, she said it was the first case of this she had seen as well (chalk it up to early adoption) so she had to ask higher ups, not something I think anyone enjoys doing, and refused to have me take "just restore" as an answer.
The suggestion of deleting the email account that was being used by the glitch to try sending the email, then re-adding, worked!
Details: Gmail account that was added under microsoft exchange for push support.
Had already deleted all instances of that picture on phone, then all instances on gmail and mobileme accounts by her suggestion, yet it was still popping up instantly when Photos launched. Still not sure where that was cached.
Anyways, looks like this is the first case of this. I tried calling back to thank her, but apparently we had gone past closing time while on the phone (hope you got some overtime!)

SOLUTION:
Delete email account being used by the "glitch" when it tries to send the picture email, check to make sure it's fixed. Took a few tries for me but finally cleared up without reboot or anything. Then just re-add the email account.
In this case it was a Gmail account but set up under Microsoft Exchange to use Push. I also had a mobileme account attached but not for email. So other accounts shouldn't matter if not being used for email. If you have multiple email accounts being used for email, just find out which email is being used to actually send it by letting it send the picture. Then delete accordingly. Re-add.

    hacked/modified/jailbroken and likely cannot be made
    operative.

    Ok I found a solution that worked for me, I simply dragged the user.js and the user.js.BAK to the desktop, before that I had done the same with the prefs.js and prefs.js.BAK, but that didn't help, so it's apparently the user file that was an error with.
    It was the link from cor-el that helped me on the way http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved
    It's at the bottom titled User.js file locks certain preferences.

    It have still not made a new user.js file, but everything runs fine, hope this can help others to.

    First Reset it: hold down the home and sleep buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
    If that doesn't work Restore it from a backup in iTunes.
    If that doesn't work Restore it as a new device and manually load your apps, music, etc.

    You will not lose the apps but you will not be able to update them without using the old ID. If you got a new email address, you can simply change your Apple ID. There is no need to create a new one.

  • Cannot open Photos app on iPhone 4S.

    It worked fine while taking photos for most of the day, but then after taking a photo I got the spining wheel and it stalled then went to my home screen. I cannot access any of the 216 photos I took through Camera Roll or Photos app. I even tried connecting it to my laptop and removing the pics that way, but the DCIM folder is empty. It's size is 0 bytes. I have restarted the iPhone several times hoping that would help, but each time I attempt to open the Photos app it shows the screen for just a second and lists the Camera Roll (216) photos and then goes back to the home screen. Any advice would be appreciated. I would like to NOT lose the photos.

    Try resetting it: hold on/off and home buttons simultaneously for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple logo (ignore the red off slider that appears first), release and wait for the phone to restart.

    That seems strange. Try an iPad reset and see if this fixes the problem,
    Reset your iPad by pressing the 'Sleep' and 'Home' button at the same time for about 15 seconds or so. Your iPad  will then go through a reset / reboot procedure and will be ready for use within about a minute.
    Don't worry about doing this as you will not lose data or settings.

    Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • GPU temp increasing rapidly after 10.10.3when I open photo app

    Just updated to 10.10.3. After the update I see that the photo app is very unstable and just opening the app increases the GPU temps and it does not stop going up until I close the app. I don't even have to use it, just leaving the app open cause temp skips. I laptop GPU when up-to 83°C . Anyone else facing this issue? Do we have a solution?
    I am using MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012).
    2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

    Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.     Everytime I open anything on my Iphone, it exits whatever I have opened up and returns to the home screen.  I have deleted most all of my apps thinking this would solve it.  It hasnt solve anything and continues to do the same thing.  I have also have hit the top button and home key at the same time to reset things.  nothing has worked.  Is there a app I can download to take care of this problem, or can I take it to my local carrier and they can fix whatever may be going on???

    Please, anyone. What's up with this?? Everytime I open the mail application, it ask me for my password before it will check mail. I searched the help pages and only came up with a potential link to the latest upgrade 10.4.8, but NO FIX!

    You appear to be saying the Incoming authentication and receipt of messages may be OK, you recognize that the request is related to the Outgoing -- is this correct?
    Let me first observe that Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced provides the points to choose authentication of Incoming servers.
    Secondly, let me ask if you are selecting the smtp.mac.com as Outgoing Server? If so, be aware that many ISP limit the relaying of third party SMTP on Port 25, so you should present the smtp.mac.com on Port 587, for best results, in most cases. I cannot yet tell if this is the situation you find yourself in, or not, but what SMTP are you using, and what Port have you assigned to it?

  • Photo app not saving old and new?

    So I can load a photo in the photo app built in to iOS 7.    As is expected you can view your photos in this app, along with an option to edit.  I'm running into an issue where when I edit, then apply and save, the app/phone only appears to generate one copy of the photo, the newly updated version.
    If I then load another photo app and access this photo I get the OLD version of the photo however
    When I return to the edit option with THAT photo it has an option to "revert to original" which makes me think the one photo has all the info about both versions imbedded in it somehow.
    How can I get the EDITED copy of the photo show itself for other apps?
