Weird issue when charging

hi, i have an odd problem with my mbp
its very hard to describe so ill do my best
sometimes, when charging, i get a weird feeling from the mbp case
the case feels smooth, but i get a bumpy sensation in my finger
it doesnt happen all the time the mb is charging, but when it does, unplugging the magsafe or moving the battery slightly stops it (it will sometimes start again a few seconds later though)
its not a major issue, but i dont want to be electrocuted in a few days time!!! any ideas?

ok, since changing plug sockets (i was using an extension before) the problem has stopped
apparently it was a grounding issue, but i disregarded this at first as in the UK all sockets are grounded, might have to check the extension to make sure its safe to use!!

Weird Issues when Internet Connection not working

I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum.
This morning, my internet connection was not working (a common issue, whatever it is that requires me to restart my router. Tubes clogged, etc etc. I could ping it, but not get out). Anyways, before I restarted the router and restored internet connectivity, my machine took forever to boot and start X. During boot, it would hang at starting the CUPS daemon for a good 20-30 seconds. Then, it would eventually start and the machine would boot to agetty. I could log in fine, but when I typed 'startx' the machine would do nothing for about 5 seconds, and then X would start as per usual. Note that after issuing the startx command I got no output at all to stdout until after the delay.
Question: Why did this happen? My best guess is that on these occasions the machine was trying to connect to the outside world, and it was only after a network timeout that things went ahead as usual. But, that hardly makes any sense to me, for a couple of reasons. Why would CUPS and startx try to connect to the outside? The lag in starting CUPS was considerably longer than when issuing startx. The lag for startx did not seem long enough for a timeout. Weird. Any clarification would be helpful.

It might something wrong with the IP addressing you used when you statically set the configuration or traffic from the IP address you used is denied.
As you already have an IP config that works (Run ipconfig /all to get it) then you can simply proceed using one of these ways:
On your DHCP level, do a reservation of the IP address so that it will always be allocated to your server
or on your DHCP level, exclude the IP address of the server and set it manually on the server

Weird issue after charging

I have an iPOD, that when connected to the Power Adapter, shows a full charge.
When I connect it to my PC it shopws the charging icon and nothing else.
If disconnected from either it goes off and I cannot bring it back on again.
I have tried to resetting it, resetting it after one day, moving it to disk mode.
I restarted my PC, but this issue is still seen.I also treid the USB port with another device and it worked fine.
Could someone pleae let me know how to get this iPOD working again?

Weird issue when trying to use two computers on the same network.

Hi all...i just just moved house and i'm using a different connection with my time capsule.
basically i've just plugged the modem into the ethernet port on the timecapsule as usual, and now for some reason me and my partner cannot use the computers to access the net at the same time
my access will halt as soon as he starts, and the only way to gain access again is to renew the DHCP lease, which subsequently boots him off....
anyone know how to fix this?

it's a wireless modem. not like a usb stick with a 3g connection. it's called unwired here in australia....its crap, but im using it for the next few days until my cable connection is installed at the new house.
it's pretty much the same as a regular modem and has an ethernet port on it which you can either use to connect directly into your system, or plug into a router or wifi (or in my case, time capsule which i'm using as the wireless base station)
i've just done the usual thing of plugging the ethernet cable from the modem into my time capsule, and it seems to work fine as long as it's only one user on the network. but as soon as someone else jumps in, their system gets access and mine stops. the only way to get mine working again is to renew the DHCP lease in networking preferences, but that ends up booting the other person off.
i havent changed any settings at all and we never had this issue at the old house...so i'm not sure if its some configuration with the time capsule, or if it's something weird about the dodgy modem i'm using...

IPad 3 rear panel issues when charging

Hi, I've ad my iPad around 2 month and I have never dropped or banged (touch wood) when it's charging the metal back seems to have a ever so slight current, nothing like to give you a shock but it defiantly has something happening ?

Did you just try quitting the camera app completely and then try again?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
If you reset all settings - you shouldn't lose any data, apps or any other content - but you will have to set all of the settings app settings again.

Common overheating issues when charging and messaging?

Just got the iphone 5s a few days ago and noted that the device overheats during charging and sometimes simple messaging. The heating during charging made it unbearable to hold. I was using 4S previously and did not have these problems or rather not this significant. Is this a common problem you face or a fault? Are there any known solutions? I have already updated to iOS7.0.1. Please advise, thanks!

try restoing via itunes as a new device. test if issue persists. needs repair

Weird chime when charging N8

Whenever I plug in the N8 for charging, after seems like random number of seconds, a loud chime comes up even if I'm on Meeting profile and this seems random and annoying. What is that chime? What does it mean?

Hi there, atm I'm without my E7 as a friend is borrowing it for a couple of days checking it out and I always disable warning tones instantly after setting up a device, so I'm not sure, but could you just check if warning tones is enabled? If that's the case try turning them off. For some wierd reason I kind of believe the phone is telling you it's connected to a charger, but I can't verify it atm and only has a vague memory of it beeing so (hopefully I haven't created that memory)
Anyway, make sure warningtones are set to off, and check again.
And please forgive me if I'm wrong. I'm on deep water now, swimming with one arm! LOL

A few weird issues with my Z2 and charging !

My Z2 is having some really weird issues (not exactly issues but still)
1) If i am using magnetic charger and if i am charging from less than 15%, it takes like 8hrs to get to 50% or near 50%. But if i am using the normal chager, i am able to get 100% in around 2ish hrs from 15%.I am facing this magnetic charging issue only if the battery % is less than 15%. I use the same charger for both cables. Both cables are original sony products. If the initial battery charge is greater than 15%, then magnetic charger works normally and charges up fast...But if its less than 15%, then it acts weird.
2) I am able to get 270 Rotation on the desktop screen ONLY when the phone is being charged. Even though i have the auto rotation ON, it doesnt change the rotation in the app drawer or on the initial screen. Once i connect the phone to charge, it can rotate to any side.
3) The Super Vivid mode gets resetted to NONE randomly.... Why is this ?

2) that is normal if you want the home launcher to rotate without the need of the dock or magnetic cable you'll need to download a third party home launcher.

When it does that. Replug the charger and charge to 100%. Now does is stay charged when you unplug the charger.
You may need to recalibrate your battery.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

My macbook air is making a weird squealing noise when charging.

Hi, recently i have noticed that my macbook air has started to make a weird squealing noise when charging. This noise is feint, though it's clearly audible, and is quite annoying when i am using my mac for things like word processing and internet browsing. It only makes this noise when the charger is plugged in, and not when it is running off battery power. Whats also worth noting is that whenever i scroll up or down a page in safari, or chome, the noise changes slightly. Again this only happens when the mba is plugged in.

Mid 2009 17" MacBook Pro battery shutdown issue when waking from sleep.

My unibody 17" MacBook Pro occasionally shuts down on waking from sleep when it isn't plugged in.
When I open the lid to wake it I can hear the hard drive and fans starting to spool, and then the next second it's off and silent. The laptop doesn't mind being turned on again after it does this and might go a week without doing it again, equally it might do it next time I try and wake it from sleep. It does this regardless of battery charge level.
coconutBattery says the battery still has 86% of its designed capacity, and I haven't noticed anything else untoward regarding battery charging or performance when in use.
So my question is two fold:
1) Does it sound like the battery's internal processor is malfunctioning, or could it be something else?
2) If it is the battery's internal processor, will replacing the battery replace the processor, or are they fitted separately (in defference to the 'internal' part of its name)?

I have had issues when i press the space bar from sleep, sometimes it wakes but others i'm forced to power it on with the power button.
Is this similar to anything you've experianced?

It is normal to an extent for the iPhone to get warm during charging. If your iPhone is currently in a case, you may want to try charging it without one and see if the issue occurs, as the design of the iPhone uses the exterior of the device as a cooling surface. You should take it to an Apple store or an AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) Carefully inspect the hinge joint and make sure there is no debris that you can see, you can try carefully sliding some sticky tape thru the joint to clear any loose stuff out. But this sounds like there might be more going on here, and the hinge is something that you do not want to fool with.

Weird Issue : Difference in HTML/excel output and pdf/rtf output--Urgent

I am facing a weird issue. I created one rtf template. When I preview the o/p in rtf or pdf, everything comes up as expected. When I preview the same in html or excel, few rows come up as bold though they were not supposed to. What could be the problem ?
This is extremly urgent as the users primarily use the excel or html as o/p.

I am using Oracle XML Publisher standalone (not with oracle apps). The version is 10.1.3.2 . The issue comes up while previewing as well as when the report is run from the XMLP server.
