Weird problem nokia 5530 xpressmusic

I have deleted the preloaded MP3 tracks from the nokia 5530 on my computer but if I go to the musicplayer and I choose artists for instance, I can still see the artists from the preloaded tracks. If I try to delete these maps, I receive an error. It's impossible to delete them. Does anyone know how I can delete them?

Try first to refresh your library. If all musicfiles are deleted, but your library says you still have them, it sounds like the library is corrupt in some way.

If this does not fix it, you can always soft reset your device (phonememory) and format your memorycard. You should back up contacts, messages etc using ovisuite or pc suite as a soft reset wipes your phonememory, and a format of the memorycard wipes your memorycard.
I would go for the format of the memorycard first before doing the soft reset, as this should normally fix it.

Document Viewer for Nokia 5530 XPressMusic

Hi everyone!
I bought myself the nokia 5530 last week, and today I tried to open a pdf file, and the phone couldn't open it. I thought it had a document viewer and I checked it again on the Nokia site for it's specifications. There it was under specs "document viewer". Now my question is: How do I install it. Because I checked everywhere and I can't find that app on my phone. It also is not included on the CD which came with the package.
I bought myself the 5530 because it had a document viewer. I like to have my slides with me of the class I'm attending, I hated to bring my laptop to class everyday for just the slides which is why I bought this phone.

The specifications for 5233 cleaerly state that Documents such as Word, Excel & powerpoint can be viewed. However after purchasing the handset it was not available. On contacting Nokia I was first told to download the same from www.quickoffice.com. When it dd not work, I was told that the model did not support the document viewer, then I was told to update the mobiles softwarre. After all this when it did not work, i was told to go to www.adobe.com.
Later I was told that it was available in a few handsets as a promotional item and now is no longer available. Nokia is out to cheat people by giving wrong information on their website.

No, I don't mean Symbian 3 on 5530 (or another S60 5ED.)
I mean a Software update whit new E-mail, New Gallery APP, and some other stuffs, I just wanna to see a integration of Symbian S60 5ED, for example Nokia C5-4 has tap to unlock, Nokia 5530 dind't, C6 has a better gallery and e-mail app, 5530 has a decent gallery app and **bleep** e-mail app (i don't support HTLM view by default), and why not, I want the widgets on homescreen (present in C6 and N97 series).
And from Symbian 3 I just wanna the menu and virtual keyboard layout (the Keyboard has been ported, but tha should be by default on a new SW update), that's not hardware related thing, that's software.
Nokia do you listen your customer???

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic

I have recently downloaded the latest software over the air for my phone, The Colour Scheme in Grid Lines, Slide, Add Contact Photos etc have all changed from Red to Grey. Is there some way to get the colors to revert to what they were when I purchased the phone?

It's probably as simple as a change in the default theme, checkin theme settigns for the theme that you preferred before.

Nokia 5530 battery stripes problem

I've had some troubles before with my screen going black and then the phone turning off, but now I got a problem with the battery stripes. After I charge my phone it says 7 stripes and when I start using him, it will stay at 7 stripes until I restart him, then some stripes are disappeared and the stripes go away normally again. Yesterday it went from 7>6 stripes and when I restarted him there were only 4 stripes left. I really don't understand what could be wrong, but I can now never know well when my battery should be charged...

Nokia 5530 not turning on

hello i am new to the fourms
i have a nokia 5530 xpressmusic
untill now it had been working fine but now every time i try to turn it on the screen is black and it vibrates for a moment
i have tried the call button hangup button combination and that doesnt work
als please do not send me to put in the 7330 number combination or the * 3 call button combination because it is a touch screen and it doesn't light up
sometimes it vibrates a bit longer but it just doesnt work

Did you confirm that the batteryis having sufficient charge ? Connect the charger and leave it charging for an hour. Then try switching ON without disconnecting the charger.
If problem remains, have you considered trying a new battery ?

Nokia 5530 Express Music - Bluetooth connection ck...

I have a new VW Passat with a audiocenter RS 510 and optional carkit by Parrot (CK 300). Almost every Nokia I tried works perfectly, except my 5530. The pairing and connection is no problem, outgoing calls work fine, but incoming calls are impossible :
- the carkit doesn't take over the ringtone selected in the phone (by other Nokia models it dos)
- the carkit only rings once, immediately and automatically it switch back to the phone
- if I succeed to answer, my contacts understand my call perfect, but I can't hear them.
The carkit and audiocenter are already replaced once, the problem is for sure with the phone, and very strange, only with incoming calls.

You have to set up a internet accesspoint under destinations as described on page 100 of the English manual.

Hi, i have purchased the nokia 5530 xpressmusic game edition, unfortunately i lost the memory card, it came with 20 games, anyone knows how i can find a backup of this games so it can be restored to factory settings into my new memory? Thanks in advance...

Hey there, Guyz am using a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic I updated it to the recently released firmware update. The Update went through perfectly fine and after the update finished and The Nokia Software Updater gave the message that your phone has been successfully updated I removed it from charging and then removed the USB cable, but it wont turn on. I really have not a single clue what to do. Please tell me a way to restore it back to its previous state and dont tell me to Take it to a Nokia Care centre as I would be charged (probably) for a mistake that I have'nt committed at all went through well it is just that in the end the result was something that I was'nt expecting. Your Help would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone .. I can somehow fix my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic phone? I am installing software suddenly my phone to power down and when I try to turn on the phone menu button lights up and shuts down! and do not go on .. anyone can help me? which program should I install to be able to do something about it?

Anna on 5530? I don't think Nokia has released Anna for the 5530. If you downloaded the update from the internet then you could contact the developer for support.

I bought a NOKIA 5220 XpressMusic a few days back . Evrything seemed fine , but suddenly I could not access my memory card. It says "Memory card has to be formatted" and then peration failed". Memory card doesnt show up on the computer also. What could the problem be? how can it be solved. Please help

there is probably something wrong with the memory card itself and not your phone. i assume you are using microSD cards, what size/brand are you using?

I have meat the problem with Nokia 5530 firmware updating: updating allways finish with the message "Downloading of the variant package failed.Most probably there is non-commercial software in your device."
Is there any solution for that problem?
