Weird problems in my N8! ! ! Please help! !
Ok... I googled about the problems I had and couldn't find anything relevant. So please help me of u have any idea with the problems.
1. My touch screen is perfect all the time. Bit it either stops to respond or gives weird responses when charging the phone. This happens only if u are not holding the back (the n series area) and trying do use the phone when placed on a surface.
2. My notifications and music player widgets stops working after about a day without restarting the phone. This is usually solved by the 8sec power button restart.
3. The restarting ends up hanging and freezing my phone when I leave it on the home screen. If I open the menu once. Then load all home screens one by one then it works perfectly. Else Jr connects to wifi to log in to Nokia account and just hangs and power button 8sec restart is the only solution.

If the issue is not resolved by removing the cards, I would try a reset before taking to Nokia Care Point, it will take a while to do, but not as long as a repair, especially if the phone has to be sent away ?
Back up your Contacts, Calendar and Notes ONLY !! A full backup and restore will simplty re-install the conflict you need to remove, your phone will be wiped and you will need to set up from scratch as though you'd just got a new handset !
Turn phone to offline, then dial *#7370# followed by 12345 if required, the phone will restart and ask you to set time and date etc. Then connect to the latest Nokia Suite http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-ovi-suite/compatibility-and-download on your PC and check for software updates, if you have the latest Anna use the option to re-install. After re-installing Anna, set up the phone and install all your apps and put any media you want on the phone ! Also update your maps to 3.08 from the nokia store and use Nokia suite to add any map data you need.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Developer 6 Timer Problem... Please help
Hi all,
I have installed Developer 6(Oracle Product) on my system. I am facing a strange problem whenever I try to use Create_Timer built in. The cursor moves to starting of the Item being modified as soon as the space bar is pressed (timed for timer expiration). If I remove the Built-in the problem is resolved.

In iTunes, go to the Store in the left menu, select iTunes Store, wehn it opens, make sure you are on the home screen (icon of a house in the menu bar) and from the righthand side, select Account.
Next you will see all of your account information. Just a little don, you will find: Apple ID overview, there it says, Authorised computers; click on the button to deauthorise.
And you should be done.

This is an annoying problem for many people. Most likely your dock connector (on the bottom where you plug in your phone) is dirty or screwed up and is probably just coincidence that it happened after you updated. Some people have had success cleaning the port with a dry clean tooth brush. There is a long discussion going on at the thread I linked below. Good luck...

Really weird network problem... Please help!
This is really starting to tick me off, so I hope you can help me. This isn't exactly Archlinux related, but the problem persists on the whole network regardless of OS being used.
Ok, so I got my new D-Link 5-port switch home a few days ago. I wanted to hook up my laptop so it could access the internet.
I'll try to illustrate how the layout of the network is made up in my home:
Internet -------> Router -------> Switch -----------> My dad's computer
|
-----------> My switch -------------> My main desktop
|
-------------> My laptop
As you see, we split the internet between our 3 computers, where 2 of them are mine, and 1 is my dad's. The problem is, that we can't run more than 2 computers online. DHCP just won't function.
If I have both of my computers online, my dad can't connect to the internet. If my dad has his computer online, I can't connect with 1 of my computers. So we are constantly only able to be 2 on the internet. I see no logical explaination for why this is happening, because the internet is split on the first switch, to my dad and me, then from my own switch, I split my connection between my 2 computers.

I think I can explain the problem. Every computer that connects to a network needs an IP address. Normally you connect a router to the internet and the router gets a public IP address from the ISP's server. This is the address that people see when you connect to their sites. When you connect your computer to the router, the router gives you a different IP address. that only people on your LAN can see. The router can give several addresses because they are only used on the LAN, so you can connect multiple computers to it and each one can get a unique IP address. When you connect to the internet, your computers communicates with the router using private IP addresses on the LAN, then your router communicates with computers on the internet using public IP addresses.
In your case, your router is not configured to give out IP addresses. Instead, when you connect you are getting a public IP address directly from the ISP's server. Your ISP only has 2 public IP addresses that it can give you so that is why you cannot connect more than 2 computers at a time. You need to configure your router to act as a gateway between your LAN and the internet. To do this, you have to access the router's menu and set up a dhcp server (which gives out IP addresses on the LAN) along with a firewall and whatever else you need (your current setup makes your computer directly accessible from the internet which can be unsafe, especially when running Windows).

All we have is 3 boxes; A internet phone adapter, a ethernet xDSL modem and a switch. Maybe this is why it's all ****ed up? Sorry for the misleading, but my dad always told me that we had a router. =\

TOMCAT problem on REDHAT 9,PLEASE HELP
Hello, i am new to redhat and i installed tomcat 4.0.1 and it worked properly, i used tomcat for studying issues so i used to start it and stop it many times
now when i use mozilla and try to request the server using http://localhost:8080/ ,mozilla status bar shows "Transfering data from localhost" and loops for ever
so please help meI think this is not problem of redhat just check reinstalling tomcat.

I'm trying to build a chat server in Java on Linux OS.I've created basically 2 classes in the client program.The first one shows the login window.When we enter the Login ID & password & click on the ok button,the data is sent to the server for verification.If the login is true,the second class is invoked,which displays the messenger window.This class again access the server
for collecting the IDs of the online persons.But this statement which reads from the server causes an exception in the program.If we invoke the second class independently(ie not from 1st class) then there is no problem & the required data is read from the server.Can anyone please help me in getting this program right.I'm working on a p4 machine with JDK1.4.

Very Odd Problem connecting to network please help
Ok so I have had my Macbook Pro for a while and I have both an Airport Extreme and an Airport Express in my room. So until recently I could turn on my computer and my Airport would automatically connect to the internet. Now recently I turn on or open my computer and I can still see my network but I cannot connect to it. I have restarted all the devices and my computer, but the only thing that eventually logs me on (after anywhere between 5 minutes - an hour) is waiting. But the second I close my laptop I will get booted off the Internet and I cannot connect again.
However I can still see the network I just cannot connect to it.
Also another problem I have noticed is that when in Network Setup Assistant it asks me for the password for the network, and I have entered this password many times in my life for my iPhone and for my other devices. And yet recently when I input the correct password (ive tried over 100 times) I get a message saying that the password is incorrect, when I know for a fact that I am putting the right password in.
If anyone could please help me I would be very grateful.The Airport Extreme base station has 2 passwords, one for logging into the router, the other for your network access (assuming you have security switched on). Just make sure you are trying to enter the correct password (I know this sounds obvious and no offense is meant).
If you added the Extreme to your other router, make sure in Airport utility the Extreme is set to Bridge Mode, this will remove any incompatibility issues with 2 devices trying to obtain IP addresses from your ISP. Only one router should connect to your ISP, using password, username and relevant settings, the other is a bridge for your internal network allowing faster transfers between devices connected to say for example your extreme.
I have a Netgear DG834PN modem/router which is assigned control to connect to my ISP (as it is a modem, the Extreme Base Station isn't a modem). The Apple Extreme is connected through ethernet to the Netgear. I have all my 802.11g/b/a devices connected through the Netgear wireless network (2.4Ghz) and all my 802.11n devices connected through the Apple Extreme Base Station wireless network ('n' only @5Ghz). I also have my Mac Pro and my AppleTV connected through gigabit ethernet (through the Extreme ethernet). Everything works well. AppleTV and Mac Pro sync very quickly, my MacBook Pro connects to other computers or devices (AppleTV for streaming content) within the Apple Extreme network, wired or wireless, and allows fast transfer speeds, especially with no g/b/a devices slowing things up.
I also have a USB hub connected to the Extreme with USB printer attached and additional external storage connected, both available throughout the Extreme network to either wired or wireless devices.
It sounds a bit complicated but it is really easy to do. -
After several attempts to get some help from Apple, it has become clear to me that my i phone 4 has no options within accessibility to reduce the motion picture.
I have a serious problem with the new software but unfortunatly i cannot go backwards with this update. Apple for obvious reasons will not advise any downgrading options. Can anyone please help me? It's only that I'm not clear why you are reluctant to post it. If you have a podcast in the iTunes Store then it's there for the world to see - they might search on its subject or title, for example, even if they don't actually know about it from you. If you look at other posts in this forum you will see that usually people post their URLs and then I can examine the feed and hopefully find out from that what the problem is. Without this information no-one can give you anything more than wild guesses.

I updated my iPad mini to ios 7.0.2 couple days ago. Everything was fine until yesterday. I noticed that it seemed to have a mind of its own. Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

Note that it's often a good sign of a hardware issue with the iPod's hard drive meaning the iPod will need to be serviced or replaced.

I purchased my imac intel 21" 3-4 weeks ago and in the 2nd week i faced an issue with the machine. When i switched on in, there was a fan noise and a white screen. The machine had hanged. I reported the problem and gave to the service centre. After testing for a week, they said that there is no problem with the imac. Again i faced the same problem after receiving it from the service centre. They again tested the machine for 3-4 days and reported as no problem with the machine. Couple of days back, I received the machine from the service centre, and on the same day when i switched it on, there are flickers in the display. Please help me solve the issue. I am from India. The service here is very bad.

Yes I agree with seventy one. It's common sense to do this, especially now. I would also contact AppleCare and report this issue with them, it will get documented and you will have a caseID that you can refer to when talking to them in the future should this issue go one.
Be polite with AppleCare and your AASP. Hopefully everyone is being honest and trying to help you and not what might appear to be the opposite.
Patience is a virtue, but I thoroughly understand your frustration.
Let us know how it goes, we are here to help in whatever way we can.
I encourage you to contact AppleCare to report this experience and get their recommendations. There is an expectation that you should have that AppleCare is there to help you as a customer. I am sure they will too! -
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011) It turns on for less than 60 sec thens shutsoff by itself, it won't load to recovery hd partition, won't load to mac OS and already replaced with new MLB, but the problem still persist.. able to run ASD EFI but ASD OS wont work.please help thanks in advance
Holy crap, I got it to work.
Essentially, I just waited until DiskWarrior reached Step 9 and told it to skip the step before it had a chance to freeze. It skipped successfully, moved on, rebuilt and replaced the faulty directory files.
So far the computer is booting like normal, I can log in, and I'm currently copying all of the data to an external as I type this.
I still have no idea why the computer wouldn't mount or boot to any drive, but I guess I'll deal with that later.
