Weird Slowdown with cmd.Execute

Question

We have a VB 6 application using OLE DB version 9.2.0.2 that is accessing an Oracle server version 9.2.0.2. We have code we have been running for a couple of weeks and it's been performing flawlessly. There are thorty or so functions in the package all of which follow pretty much the same format.

All of a sudden last night, these two functions out of the thirty in the package have started performing very slowly. The client side code looks like:

When we hit the line where we perform the cmd.Execute the code will go out to lunch and take several minutes to return, instead of the milliseconds it did yesterday. We have dropped and recreated the package and rebooted the server. Does anyone have any suggestions about what is wrong and how to cure it?

Just an update. We are still resoling this one, but it appears that Oracle is having a problem interpreting the parameters to the function correctly and is interpreting their type incorrectly and therefore not using the right indexes.
