Weird top banner flickering

Hi,
Before purchasing a license, my company wanted me to have a try at Prem. El. Trail version.
When I import my video files (avi files @ 1280x720, 30fps / 16 bit / compressed with MS-CRAM (Microsoft Video 1 @ 100%)) somehow I get a flickering top banner. It's not the entire movie length but most of it. Sometimes it shows the bottom part of my movie (say 50 pix high) but mirrored verticaly.
I have no idea ... is this a problem with my video-driver ? Is this a problem with the trail version ? Is this a problem with the video compression I use when rendering the avi in 3D Via Composer ?
If not for this problem, the license would've been purchased by now I guess

Export from some programs will be limited by that program's designers.
Even if one has certain CODEC's properly installed, does not mean that programs can use them for more than pure playback. Though I have Xvid installed, I cannot get any of my NLE programs to Export to it. Now, most will work just fine with the commercial-cousin to Xvid, DivX. PrPro, PrE, PowerDirector and MovieEdit Pro can all Export to DivX, but crash when trying to use the open-source Xvid. Besides, you do NOT want to use Xvid as anything but a final streaming delivery only format. You are probably lucky that you could not Export with it, as you would loose a great deal of quality, and it would not edit well, if at all.
Now, lets see if we can come up with an intermediate CODEC that will work well for you. So very much depends on your 3D program and how well it interfaces with the system's Registry, regarding CODEC's. One intermediate CODEC that I use and like is Lagarith Lossless. It is very good, efficient, fairly quick, plays well with PrE, PrPro and AE, and best of all, it's free. I would download and install it, and X my fingers that the 3D program will find and use it. The format will be .AVI, but it will not be the pure DV-AVI, so PrE will need to use it to edit the footage. I've never had an issue in any of my Adobe editing programs with it. I use it as an intermediate "transfer" format, especially between my NLE's and AfterEffects. Do a reboot after you install Lagarith.
Unfortunately, I can make no promises that your 3D program will find it and can use it. At the worst, you will have added a very good, free CODEC, that can be used by PrE, but might not help in your workflow.
Also, what happens when you Export to the MS Video 1, and Import that? Maybe you already mentioned the issues, and I have forgotten. Just curious.

There isn't a way to display the date in a banner.. BUT - The calendar icon does display the date and day.

Hello, I recently had Nice Peter from Epic Rap Battles of History on my show and I think the interview is really interesting. I was wondering how I go about submitting for my show to be considered for the top banner in the itunes podcast section?
Do I need to make custom artwork?
Do I need to know someone that works for itunes?
Can I even submit for this or is it just chosen by itunes staff?

Searching just on the category in the iTunes Store is most unlikely to throw up your podcast. There are thousands of podcasts out there, and it would be quite impossible to display on one page the entire list for any category. What you see are 'featured' podcasts, chosen by Apple as being special; please see this Tech Note:

Note that there is no way you can influence the selection other than making your podcast really special.

Moving a Web page Off the top Banner

Hi I'm trying to move a page so that it does not show up in the Top Banner that lists my pages and instead just have a button linking to that part of my site. How do I do this?

It's the navigation layer. Not top banner.
Anyway : Inspector > First icon from the left > Hide page
And for future reference, take a look at the other icons as well.

Gap between Navigation area and top banner

I have a small gap between the navigation area and top banner
of my page design and I can't quite figure out what is causing
it... or how to fix it. Here is the page

You are simply missing a closing </div> tag.
Change this:

Where is the top banner picture of the "default " server homepage stored?

I have set up a Mac Mini Server Snow Leopard and it's running fine. I'm hosting my own page and I kind of like the "look" of the "server hompage"/update where the three boxes to choose from appear. The only thing I would like to do is to change the top banner "Mac OS X Server". Anyone know where this is stored so I can chnage only that?

Me again! The "/default" shouldn't be there of course. Just the top banner you see when going to the index file.

Why can't I open dropbox from the very top banner?

I don't seem to be able to start dropbox from the very top banner in the desktop in the desktop window. It just continually shows it's downloading, but it's not coming down.
Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong. Downloading the latest version did not help.

Youtube top banner not showing in Firefox

The top frame (top banner) on the Youtube home page does not appear in Firefox.
A right click on the frame to load it in a new window makes it appear though.
I am using Firefox 8.0.1 on a Mac OSX 10.7.2
All extensions have been disabled and I am using the default theme.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

You may have ad-blocking software on your computer if it still happens in Save mode.

After re-installing my MacBook Pro hard drive, I lost my Firefox/Mozilla 'top banner' (red ,yellow and orange in color) and with it my ability to down load via a small tab located top right on it's bar. How do I get this function back??

Recently I found it necessary to re-install my entire operating system, and I lost my ability to down load streaming videos. I am an artist almost 70 yrs. old, and am not very computer proficient which is why I purchased a MacBook Pro. I used Firefox/Mozilla to do downloading because it was easy. When I brought my system back up I found that the top 'Firefox banner' had changed from red, orange and yellow in color to shades of gray. With this change found that I no longer had the download 'tab' to click on to initiate downloads (located top right on the Firefox top section).
I've tried re-installing Firefox and Antbar download helper but am still not able to download. How do I get the download capability back again???? ......roxor999

Your storage device is probably faulty. It would be helpful if you indicated the EXACT model/year MBP that you have.

Arrow in top banner of my phone??

Since this time last night the little locate arrow on the top right of the banner next to the battery percentage sign has bees showing, is there anyway to find out what app is causing it to be stuck on all the time??

Video clip of glass top table flickers in PP CS5

I have shoot an HD video where there is a glass top table. It displays fine when I watch it in windows media player and straight on the camera screen but when I import it to Premiere Pro CS5 the glass flickers. Any ideas?

Graphics Card (MPE Hardware Acceleration)?
Hard drives set up?
premiere version?
Any 3rd party add-ons to Premiere (Fx plug-ins? 3rd party i\o card like matrox or Black Magic?)
Source material format specifics(Footage dimensions[1080p? 1080i? 720p?], camera, format\codec, framerate,etc.)
sequence settings - basically same info as above sans camera info
output format\codec settings. (Footage dimensions[1080p? 1080i? 720p?], Framerate.
If you offer this information and describe your problem clearly, you have a fair shot of getting your problem fix on this forum.

Macbook Pro weird top left noise.

My mid 2012 macbook pro is making some weird strong noise coming from the top left corner. I tried to speed up the fans. They seemed to work but the frequency of the noise varies so it's definitely a problem linked with the left fan. What can I do ? There is no apple services where I live. Thanks.

Get a pentalobe driver and take the bottom cover off of the MBP and inspect it for possible dust and debris in the fan and other parts.

Sounds that you installed a Persona.
You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Display Error - weird black/blue flickering boxes on display

I have recently started experiencing a very strange error with my iMac G5 display. I notice it most when using Expose. As the screens zoom in and out, several black or blue boxes can be seen flickering in the background. Each box is square and approximately 2 inches x 2 inches.
Also, if I scroll my mouse across the icons in my dock, suddenly a large, very zoomed in version of my dock is superimposed over the actual dock. Sometimes random black boxes appear behind an icon in the dock too.
If I activate expose, the boxes or zoomed in dock disappear. Also if I scroll up and down a page, the boxes vanish but can sometimes reappear later.
It started a few days ago, but then went completely by itself. It's just started up again tonight. I haven't changed anything on my computer or downloaded anything that might have caused this issue.
I'm not sure if it's a hardware thing or something wrong with my settings. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I have already checked those and neither are activated.
Also, if there is an animated gif, or something that moves, the entire display is filled with a horizontal line that's the same colour and height as the gif. If I refresh the screen or activate expose, it vanishes, but then comes back pretty soon after,
It's funny because I've had it on most of today (after being shut down all night) and it's been fine. It's just started again this evening. Makes me think something could be overheating perhaps.
