Weirdness and a Reload OS 507 message...

Hello all
Wel, yesterday night thing got weird.
I plugged my bb curve8900 into my mac and wanted to transfer some files.
I got a message saying that my OS could be updated so I figured sure.
I oked this and then, aftr some time, my Curve went dead.....it kinda didnt do anythign and then the red light came on and it was at the start up screen with the 'Reload OS 507' message and the icon.
I googled this and was worried as hell.
So after some time it went odd and then it was fine, the home screen came up and the interface looked updated, now there was colour on the icons and it looked different. I also noticed that there was a twitter icon in my menu.
I tried to then acces my texts and contacts and nothing was there. **bleep**.
So having it still plugged in, I thought I could get my contacts back by restoring the BB. Ofocurse, as I now know, this only does it since the last time you'd sycned it so my BB has reverted back to nov 2009's call logs/contacts /sms's .
So, all my downloads have also gone now.
I was able to connect online before without turing my w-fi on, but everytime i try to access the ineternet i get a  "this is a wi-fi service.please ensure your device has an active wi-fi connection and try again' message which is weird because before i coudl go and browse whenever i liked.
also, I'm running the 4.6.1.310 OS, how do i update it if needed? i'm on a mac with osx. i have tried via the avaible updates but was wandering if there was another way.
my carrier is orange uk.
a battery pull didnt help this.
please help me with this weirdness as i cant listen to my fav psychedelic radiot station via my bb!

So your BlackBerry device is back and running, just different, huh?
It sounds like, to get your browser back up to par, you need to resend service books.
On your BlackBerry device, go to:
1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
From your handheld device:   http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.
From your desktop PC:  http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American Carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
WorldWide Carriers - Find your carrier on the list
3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. This reboot, even if you have already done this, is often needed to install the service books.

    This phone last night was rebooting it self INFINITE times... so i decided to reload the software... everything was going well.. since when it was finishing the whole process it says..   • Unlock blackberry device and reload software 507? HELP!!!!??​?

    When i connect my phone to my laptop it connects me straight away to my blackberry software on my laptop, once connected it tells me to update my phone, so i click update and it then it brings me to a screen thats called unlock blackberry device ,then it askes me to type in my password, i don't know my password, also alot of people are saying the password is stored on my phone but when i swich on my phone it comes up saying reload software:507.
    I do not no what to do please someone help me!!!!

  • My email keeps on logging out and automatically reloading my messages

    for some reason, for the past 24 hours, my phone has been emptying and then reloading all of my messages from my synced email.  this is not the only issue I've had with my phone, but all of them started within the past 24 hours

  • Reload Software 507 - stuck at connecting to boot rom

    1. My Curve 8900 (Orange Unlocked) had an app error 523 and didnt load, so I wiped it with BBSAK.
    2. After that, my phone starts and shows a white screen with an image and below the error message "Reload Software:507" and stays like that.
    3. I have followed every blog and have followed every step, but the OS is not loading on the device and it gets stuck at connecting to boot rom.
    4. When I open the Loader, my PIN number shows without any problem, so I click "next". When I've selected the apps I want to be installed and click "finish", my phone will reboot twice when the PC shows "Connecting to boot ROM" geting a "fatal error message has ocurred [A0x00000001]" on the loader.
    I've been stuck at this process for too long and decided to post here for help.
    Is there any solution for my device.

    You can try JI Cmder to wipe again and then try to load the OS ,But remember you had to click the Next  button on the screen as soon it shows USB PIN : UNKNOWN or else you had to try again :

  • 9630 Keyboard/Buttons not working; hard resets and multiple reloads of OS did not correct

    My BlackBerry 9630 Tour is a little more than a year old. Yesterday the keyboard, trackball, and all buttons stopped working while I was typing out an email. I could not power off the Blackberry without removing the battery for a hard reset. Unfortunately, even after many hard resets, the problem persisted, so I went to the forums for help and tried everything that seemed relevant (multiple times) with no success.
    After reviewing a number of tech support posts, this problem does not appear to be unique to any given model of BB and contact with liquids is cited as a common but not the only cause for this condition.
    I was outside on a very hot and humid day when the malfunction occurred so it is possible some perspiration may have come into contact with the keypad, convenience buttons, or trackball and caused the lockup.
    I'm looking for someone with more smarts than me to help me troubleshoot, identify the actual problem, and identify the proper corrective actions. See below for a synopsis of my actions taken, with the exception of taking it to the shop for repair/replacement.
    The corrective actions listed on the forums and blogs are varied but essentially fall into two primary solutions:
    1. If moisture is suspected to be the issue, let the BB dry out overnight
        a. Pull the battery, naturally air dry or use a blow dryer, let it sit unplugged with no battery for at least 12 hours 
        b. If this doesn't immediately work, try a clean install of the OS (see below)
        c. If this doesn't work, take to the shop and they'll either replace the keyboard and/or trackball or replace entire unit
    2. If moisture is not suspected to be a factor then perform a backup followed by a clean install of OS
         a. Backup your files using Desktop Manager Backup and Restore
         b. Do a clean reinstall OS using Desktop Manager Application Loader
             i. The OS installation process is dicey  and takes a little patience and focus-- you have to wait for the Desktop Manager to properly recognize the device before it can proceed on some of the steps and it may take several iterations to get completely through the process and get the "successful installation" message.
             ii. Further, you may need to keep the battery removed during the initial steps in the process and only insert it when the process gets to the point of actually trying to copy files into the BB memory
                * The BB LCD will display an icon that looks like a battery with a slash through it letting you know the process cannot proceed until a battery is inserted and the Desktop Manager Application Loader will also give you an error indicating it cannot find the device.
                * After inserting the battery, it will take a few seconds or more for the computer to recognize the USB device and for Desktop Manager to respond with the BB password pop-up window.
                * After typing in your BB password, the installation should continue.
        c. If you can get the OS successfully reloaded and your keyboard/trackball/buttons work -- great -- now restore your files and settings using Desktop Manager Backup and Restore and get on with your life.
        d. If this does NOT work after multiple successful clean OS installations apparently you are completely hosed; the only other option is to get it to the shop for repair or replacement.
    1.. Does anyone have a troubleshooting procedures that will identify whether moisture is the root cause or not?
    2. Is there another corrective procedure that's been missed?

    Took  BB to Sprint Store and technician took it apart, saw no evidence of moisture or any other damage, and concluded that the keyboard had failed. Not an uncommon occurance.
    Also, he told me you cannot simply replace the keyboard, it is integral to the systemboard, so you need to replace the entire device.
    He did commend the troubleshooting approach used prior to going to the store -- most folks won't take the time to do even basic troubleshooting (like taking out the battery), they just go to the store and say "fix it please". He confirmed that the steps outlined in the initial post were correct and did not have any other solutions.
    Take away:
    If you want to do some troubleshooting yourself to check for moisture, the process was pretty straightforward. After watching the technician, most folks with a little technical or mechanical aptitude should be able to manage the dismantling process. You just need a small phillips head screwdriver and a little patience. Good lighting and a magnifying glass or reading glasses also help!

    I have PSE13 on my system, Windows 8.1, 64-bit.  It was functioning properly after installation and now I get these messages when I go to print:  "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available.  You need to check your printer settings before printing."  and then this statement:  "Default printer could not be opened."  I have reloaded drivers for both printers and made any upgrades possible.  It was working fine before and now all of a sudden, nothing.  Would prefer to have old PSE v.12 back, it worked with no problems.

    Tried a number of "fixes" from blogs.  No joy.  Deleted all my adobe apps, rebooted, and Creative Cloud says it needs to reload.  Went through that process, and it quit near the end, saying it needed to reload and directed me back to same Adobe site.  Hmm.  Round and round we go.  How do I get off of this loop and get my Adobe Lightroom and PS working fine again?  Whole episode started after loading CC and then PS said it didn't have Camera Raw.  Went and downloaded that, wouldn't load and said I needed Adobe Download Diagnostic (or something like that) went to suggested link, whereupon it tells me it is no loger available. 
    Looking forward to cleaning everything off and starting over!!  Any input gratefully accepted and I will NOT be trying CC again.  I am sure it is just fine, just not for me, now.

  • How to get firefox to return to previous link and not reload it

    When viewing content from a page in a tab, clicking the back button causes the previous page to reload in stead of just returning to it. That makes it impossible (without opening the info in a new tab) to return to a page and click the next item you want to view because it is no longer there.
    Also, sometimes you get the message that the previous page is not available with a "try again" button.
    I just want the back button to return to the previous page and NOT reload it.
    I'm hoping there's an about:config setting that fixes this.

  • Trying to reload itunes-error message

    I had something wrong with my laptop, had everything removed and now reloading everything. itunes music was stored somewhere, need to reload it back in to itunes, but first having challenges loading the itunes back on. keep getting error message when trying to open. tried deleting and reloading. what am I doing incorrectly? after this is installed, need assistance importing songs back to itunes. please help!

    Some have found that the page may turn up blank to start with, so it may be necessary to reload the page.
    Others have found that it may depend on browser. Specifically, a switch from Safari has solved it in one case.

    In two years of owning my Tour, I had never received a "Reload Software: 552" message until I installed Blackberry Protect last night and restarted my Tour.  Has anyone else had this problem with Protect and what is the solution?

    HEY I TRIED BACKING UP MY MOMS  BLACKBERRY TO TRANSFER HER CONTACTS WHEN I CONNECTED IT. IT WENT TO THE BBDESKTOP SOFTWARE AND I PRESSED REPAIR AND IT WENT TO A RELOAD SOFTWARE 507 PLEASE HELP ;'C IM ON MAC BTW DID ANY OF MY STUFF DELETE PLEASE HELP I TOOK OUT THE SD CARD 

    Yes, you've lost any data that was on the device unless you made a backup prior to the 507 error.  Here's how to get the device functional again:
    1. First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.

    2. Download the OS file from step 1 to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    3. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also check the following locations for vendor.xml files and delete any instances of the file:
    On Windows Vista/7 navigate to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)
    On Windows XP navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)
    4. Plug in BlackBerry and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

    Error 507 simply means the OS is not present on the device.
    Connect your 8900 back to the USB cable and run Desktop Manager > App Loader again. It should recoognize the device, connnect and process the installation.

    Let's see if we can get you the details you need here:
    I'm getting the same Action Script pop-up on WinXP Sp3 32-bit and Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit systems, both running Seamonkey 2.10.1 with the Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:13.0) Gecko/20120615 Firefox/13.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.10.1, so this is the same browser as Firefox 13.0.1.
    The Action script pop-up has a Dismiss and Continue button and on WinXP clicking Dismiss seems to close the pop-up window and allow the Flash Player to work normally, at least for a while; clicking Continue results in repetitions of the Action Script pop-up - takes some time to come up again so not 100% sure on this behavior.  On Win7, the Action Script pop-up window does not respond to clicking either button, the browser appears to be hung and after a minute or so a message comes up in the Flash player box saying the Flash Player has crashed and to reload the page to retry.
    Here are the contents of the Action Script pop-up:
