Weirdness!! HELP !!!!

I am using a scroll pane instance in which I am loading an
external swf.
When I test the movie from within the Flash MX program it
works fine.. but when I export it and try to use it outside the
Flash program it exhibits an oddness...
Where the scroll pane ends on top and bottom, the external
clip I loaded should lose visibility oursite the viewable
scrollpane area... and it does so within the test movie function of
the main flash program. But on its own outside the program, the
scroll works but the entire external swf image is now viewable
..although it can be scrolled.. it does not hide what is outside
the pane area....
What am I doing wrong?

Its ok, forget it I've sussed it... it wasn't the drums at all, it was a bass sample in another EXS instrument which was an old PC file which for some reason EXS plays as a loud HISS (i'm familier with this problem). Crap, sorry.

Cant view photos except one at a time??, and other iphoto weirdness, help!

My iphoto is crazy, it does weird stuff all the time. A few months ago it started randomly eating pictures and a grey block would show up where they used to be. Just recently when I open an event i I can only look at the pics one at a time, not like smaller pictures in rows, where you can select them and do stuff with them. I don't know why it is different!!! I would think I could just change something under view and fix it, but nothing seems to help. Please someone help!

There's a slider lower right of the iPhoto Window - drag it left.
A few months ago it started randomly eating pictures and a grey block would show up where they used to be.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Photoshop behaving weirdly (help please!)

Photoshop noob here! Any help would be appreciated. The more I use Photoshop cs6 (64 bit) on my computer the more weird behavior starts to occur. The first time I installed it started out fine like usual. Then out of the blue opacity started behaving strangely. Even when I turned a color to 100% opacity and layed it on top of another color in the same layer it would not be completely opaque. I could still see the shapes/lines through the supposedly 100% opaque color. I searched the internet and couldn't find a solution. I kept coming upon the suggestion of reseting all the tools which did not work. When told to delete my photoshop preferences (the psp file) both manually and by using the CTRL-SHIFT-ALT shortcut when starting photoshop the former launched photoshop and then resulted in a "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." error. I could only click ok and continue working on my messed up version of photoshop. Secondly, the ctrl-shift-alt shortcut did not work at all. Fed up, I deactivated and uninstalled, then reinstalled Photoshop.
It worked perfectly fine for a while and then different strange behavior started happening again. First, the eraser behaved like a blue brush in the background layer. Instead of erasing white and seeing the checkerboard pattern like I always used to it would just color blue instead. I could do this at different opacities as well. On the background layer it is essentially a blue brush. This wasn't super annoying as I could just add another layer but then my pressure sensitvity stopped working on my tablet too. I downloaded all the latest tablet drivers to no avail. I again was told to try deleting my prefernces which again resluted in the "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." error. Also the ctrl-shift-alt shortcut still doesn't work.
I've looked everywhere for a solution and still cannot figure out why Photoshop continues on this self-destructive path. Any help would be appreciated. Again, I'm new to photoshop so if the answer is extremely obvious then sorry!

Resetting preferences is first aid for PS. Uninstall and reinstalling will not fix an error in this file.
You need to start PS and immediatley hold down the ctrl alt shift keys (assuming Windows OS) and you will get a reset window. If you are not fast enough you will see the splash screen. Some find help in pressing and holding 2 of the keys, start PS and immediatly hold down the 3rd key.

Downloading apps does not prevent the phone from working as a phone.
Have you tried removing the app?

Time Machine Weirdness - HELP!

Using a mid 2010 MacBook Pro with 10.9.4 installed, all updates present. Attached a WD 750GB My Passport to the Macbook Pro, reformatted the passport to MAC OSX Extended Journaled. Check both MacBook Pro and Passport with Techtool Pro 7 latest version plus Disk Warrier 4.4... Everything seems to check out on both notebook and External HD.
Opened Time Machine in preferences, chose the WD / HD and began an initial back up on Sunday morning. It's now 12 noon on Monday and I only have 117 GB backed up so far...
This is when it gets weird. I've turned off the screensaver, put everything to the max in terms of power, clicked the "put the hard disk to sleep" to off etc.etc. and just dimmed the screen thinking the hard disk would stay awake.
However, every few minutes Time Machine hangs and stops backing up files... If I walk over and click the arrow on the system preferences box, which is open to the Time Machine box showing progress, then magically, it will start backing up again. I click the box itself not any buttons. Few minutes later, I go back, it's hung, I click on the box, it starts again. This is just not the way it was intended to work... BTW, Don't think it's the My Passport... I use my passports on my iMac (2 of them backing up in tandem) my other brand new MacBook Pro retina and my daughter's macbook.
My worst nightmare is to have this initial back up go on till Wednesday and then it gives me an error message,

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Note the timestamp of the last "Starting" message that corresponds to the beginning of an an abnormal backup. Now
CLEAR THE WORD "Starting" FROM THE TEXT FIELD
so that all messages are showing, and scroll back in the log to the time you noted. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ If all you see are messages that contain the word "Starting," you didn't clear the text field.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.

My little sister brought my ipod into the shower with her but it still works but it's weird, HELP!

My little sister who happens to be 10 years old brought my ipod with her into the shower. When she finished she handed it back but it was wet. I quickly shooed her away not wanting to deal with her and when I turned it the lock screen had some parts faded and other even more faded but some still it's usually brightness. I sorta freaked out as I saw my home screen which had the volume sign if you will up but I hadn't touched the button i then quickly dried it. When I tried to see if I could lower the volume it took a while for it to actually work and it didn't disappear for a while. I tried to calm down and turn it again later but then it was still the same only the volume sign wasn't there. I repeated the process and sometimes the volume sign was there and sometimes it wasn't. I haven't told my parents yet or my older brother who had bought the ipod for me since he thought I would be responsible with it. If anyone knows how to fix it, PLEASE HELP!

The worst thing you can do is turn the I pod on after it has been soaked in water. There is a remedy which has a decent track record of recovering iPods that have been doused in water. Believe it or not, the best thing you can do is to put the
IPod into a bed of rice and leave it there for 4 or 5 days, the longer, the better. Make sure it is in the off mode. Of course, there is no guarantee this will work, but it's about the only thing you can do. With a little luck, it will come back to life.

Music dissapeared, ipod acting weird - HELP

Ok so i came home today and decided to add an album to my Ipod. I hooked it up and transfered. Great. So then i tried to listen to some music and i discover its EMTY, at least i couldnt see any songs! not an album, artist playlist or song! nothing! But it still says im using space on my pod.
I tried a reset... twice, no go. Then i followed a friend's advice and tried to do a restore. I opened up Ipod updater and clicked restore, the little bar comes up as if its going to do it and then it dissapears and in its place i get a lovely error message which says "Firmware update failure. Disk write error."
And now i cant even access my Ipod any more!! when i unhook it from my PC and turn it on i get a little folder picture on my screen. OMG.
Some help would be.. very very appreciated.

my Bluetooth is showing up in the top right of my screen but its gray, ive tried rebooting it but it still the same, ive turned it on an d off but nothing. still gray. it just says searching for devices that's it can anyone help??? please thanks

If you have previously synced your device with iTunes, you may be able to reset the passcode by restoring the device:
Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
When the backup and sync is complete, restore your device.
When iOS Setup Assistant asks to set up your device, choose "Restore from iTunes backup".
Select your device in iTunes and choose the most recent backup of your device.

Hi! I recently finished my free trial in PS and I now want to buy it. I use photoshop for drawing, editing my drawings, working with layers etc.
Is the 'photography' pack enough? Do i have full acces to PS with it?

Im wondering if I have to buy it on the computer im using it or if I can buy it from another computer and then still use it on my own?
And lastly, I dont know if it was becuase I used the free trial but I often experienced PS flickering and the brush being a bit after my strokes. Will this stil be going on If I buy the real deal? Im using a Mac Retina OS X Yosemite, so there shouldn't be a problem using PS on this computer, right?

Malicious website, now computer acting weird - help please

I was looking for "see through" fireplaces and searched on google. This led me to a website which is (DO NOT CONNECT please): "picadezign.com/indzh/show.php?pg=236368*368" which supposedly showed photos of these fireplaces. This was a connection to a malicious website that started scanning my computer for viruses without my permission. I first tried to shut down safari, then turn the computer off using the power button but no surprise no luck. So I unplugged the computer and closed the lid and removed the battery. Turned it on again and it went straight to the website again (no login screen). So I unplugged the computer, closed the lid, removed the battery and unplugged the WiFi. Waited and then turned on everything again. This time, computer turned on but safari and mail would not connect to the internet. Turned everything off again, then on again and things seemed fine, the internet connected etc.
Then I went out of the room and the computer went to sleep with the lid open. But it would no longer wake up from sleep regardless of what I did. So I turned it on and off using the power button and it seemed to work.
I repaired permissions though this is not the problem. Any other housekeeping/fixing ideas? Also, who can I report the bad website to (there was no warning on either Yahoo search or Google search that it was malicious).

Check Safari cookies. From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences and select the Security tab.
Click the Show Cookies button. If you see a cookie similar to the "picadezign.com..." just delete it.

As long as your Mac is running ok I wouldn't worry. There are no Mac viruses in the wild.

Crystal Report V9 do not display decimal value HELP!

I have a field in Informix data type is Decimal(6,2)when i used the field in the report, the decimal is not displayedexample: field1 = 305.50, in crystal report it only displayed 305.00, already setup the formatting. any possible solution?, please help!

have check all the options in my pc and crystal report, all seems to be ok, and have tried displaying an informix field decimal(5,2), and it displays ok (154.23) in my crystal report, but when trying to display the field decimal(6,2) crystal report display decimal up to 99.99, but when it reaches 100+, it will not display the decimal, very weird, help.have tried the formula as well but still doesnt work.any other possible solutions, pls help, thanks.

Problems inserting an image within dreamweaver

When I try to insert an image in Deamweaver CS4 - the browse to dialog box fails to appear, although a message stating: You won't see this element unless the view > visual aids > Invisible elements is checked and the preference setting for this element is on. - both of these appear to be on, apart from the message no image appears on the page, either in the code or design view, it does register under the edit menu as a 'redo image' or 'undo image option, also it strangely alters the document title to 'image' which reverts to its original title if you edit undo image - all a bit weird, help please!

Hi Ben thanks for the information, whilst I found it useful,it did not cure the issue which I was having when inserting an image. Thankfully this is a former issue which my son Jody managed to sort, not sure how he did it, I will ask and post.

Unable to send attachments

Hi all,
Doesn't matter which application/browser I use - Mail,Gmail,Yahoo,facebook photo uploader. I can't send/upload anything (blue bar in mail and gmail show it trying to load, but get error message or nothing sent) Flash and Java both updated.
Just bought daughter new macbook pro - everything sends fine from all applications/browsers - weird
