Welcome page on E4200 . Possible ?

Sorry if I'm completlely unexpert with this and possibly not use the proper words ...
I would like to know if it is possible to have a welcome page that would be shown when someone connects with WIFI to my E4200 (the way service providers in airports show you a welcome page in airports for example when you connect to their wifi hotspot).
If this is not possible with just a router, anyone could tell me what I need to do that ?
Thanks in advance

I don't think that it is possible with this router. You might wanna check 3rd party firmware. I treid checking it online and most of them had suggested to load 3rd party firmware but take note this will void the router's warranty.
Try googling it or check this site to give you some ideas.

  • Welcome Page Acrobat X

How do I create a welcome page for PDF portfolio in Acrobat X?
When making portfolios in v9 i was able to add a welcome page to my PDF portfolio. However, since I upgraded I am no longer able to locate this fucntion. Does it still exist and if so how do i access it?

    Hi Robert,
Yes this has been reported a bug with Acrobat X. Engineering team is working on it and will try to fix it as soon as possible.
However, there is another step that you can try and is even easier to delete pages.
1). Use the page navigation panel (Left hand side panel -> Pages)
2). Select the pages you want to delete.
3). And hit DELETE key from your keyboard.
** You can also select multiple pages by using Ctrl key and clicking or selecting multiple pages using Up/Down arrow keys on keyboard.
That will save your clicks and time both. As far as this bug is concerned Adobe is aware of it and we are working.
    Thanks.

  • Recent blogs in welcome page

Hello all. Is there a way I can link the most recent blogs to my welcome page? I have seen several sites that have their recent blogs on their home page with links to read more. Is this possible through iWeb or are they modifying the html manually? Thanks.

The other thing that people do is create a faux "Latest Blog Entry" so that it is displayed on there Welcome Page.
Simply create a text box and then Cut'n'Paste from your Blog Entries. No html editing, just good ole fashioned sweat and tears!

  • Get rid of menu on welcome page?

Is it possible to create the welcome page without the
menu? I'm using the white templates. How could I have
the welcome page without the menu across the top, but
have it show up in the menu on the other pages?
    thanks.
It seems to me the way you would do this is to select the welcome page in iWeb, and then the 'shapes' tool and draw an object to cover the navigation bar. Set it to the same colour as the background and with no border using the fill pane of the inspector while the object is selected, and then make sure the object is moved as far forward as possible.
That would obscure the menu and even allow you to include other text or objects where the menu would normally be.
You could do the same thing on any page if you were so minded, and include navigation links as text or objects anywhere on the page instead if required.

  • Automated Picture Changing on Welcome Page

I would like to change the main picture I have on my Welcome page either randomly, every day of the week, day of the month... something like that so that the main image appears to be different from time to time. If you see the "White" or the "Black" themes - that is the picture I would like to change from time to time.
Any thoughts on how to automate that?

I've also been trying to figure out if this is possible. I would like to have some music play while different pictures are changing -- almost like a slideshow -- but on my home page.

  • Welcome page, one start button, two outcomes

    hi,
I have a welcome page with a Start button which is the first page after authentication. If the user is logged in as roleA then next page after start button is pressed should be pageA and if user is logged in as roleB then next page should be pageB. User data are bound to userInfo managed bean in session scope which has methods isRoleA(), isRoleB() and getUserRole(). How can I bind this start button to achieve this (if possible with code sample)

Can't you just code the method for the button to ask for the value of the role and based on the result return one of two navigation cases that you use in your faces-config.xml flow?

  • IWeb 8 welcome page

I would like to change the background on my welcome page without retyping and redoing the pictures. Is it possible to change the background easier?

Yes. No retyping, no redoing of photos.
In iWeb, choose Welcome page in the Site Organizer. Now open Inspector:
    Inspector/Page Inspector/Layout/Page Background/Image Fill/Choose image
    File/Save/Publish

Is it possible to personalise the landing page to each individual user.
I'm wanting something that on the welcome page says,
    'Hi {User}',  ect ect
    Thanks

    Hi Simon,
You can create a landing page for the secure zone and then use the CRM -> Customer modules as per the article below to personalize the page.

  • Reconstructed Welcome page will not animate a .gif clipart

Upon having to reconstruct my Welcome page because the weblinks had to be re-entered thanks to a friend informing me they were not engaging, upon rectifying the weblinks, when I published the changes, the animated gif did not appear. After several attempts, I reconstructed the page by getting a fresh page. I was able to successfully copy-paste the contents, retype the side-bar that included web links, pasted in from file, the animated gif. It pasted in but would not animate. I tried many times over with no results. Gifs located on other pages are active. But, this one that is animated on the website were I download it

Yes, it is about the flying dove. I'm not changing the subject, apologies, if you thought I was.
Yes, the dove animates on the previous welcome page which no longer exists as I am in the process of uploading the entire website. I will not know if the animation occurs until I finish the upload.
Right, you are. It is not an iWeb issue if the gif file does not animate when I open the file on the desktop. But, as I typed this sentence, my brain awoke to the idea that I must not open the file, copy, paste it into iWeb. Instead, one must drag the file into iWeb. I just tried that and VOILA! the animated bar is there.
You just prodded me enough to resort to using my brain with your last sentence. I had completely forgotten that gif files are drag files.
    Case resolved.
Again, thanks, for taking up your time to move me forward. One gets bogged down, if not weary, when they have problems with their projects.

  • How do I set the default welcome page for PUBLIC user

    gurus,
    i'm using -
    Oracle 9i Database
    Oracle 9ias Portal Release 2
QUESTION => how do I set the default welcome page for the PUBLIC user.
i did the following to achieve this -
    1. logged into portal
    2. clicked on builder
    3. clicked on administer tab
    4. selected PUBLIC user in the Portal User Profile portlet
    5. went to the preferences tab
    6. in the default home page selected a custom page group
    7. logged out of portal
    8. open a new browsere session
    9. type the portal URL and i get the login page ....??
i'm unable to understand this behavior ... shouldn't i be getting the page group that i set for the PUBLIC user in step 6 above ....
the second QUESTION is => when the user logs out he/she should see the PUBLIC page set in step 6 above ... but, instead the user sees a page that is as follows -
Partner Application Name Logout Status [Logout Status]
    Oracle Portal (portal) logout status
    The SSO Server (orasso) checkmark
    buzz.resva.trw.com:7778 checkmark
    infrastructure.happy.resva.trw.com checkmark
    portal1.buzz.resva.trw.com checkmark
    portal2.sylvester.resva.trw.com checkmark
    sylvester.resva.trw.com:7778 checkmark
so, how can i set the default page for the PUBLIC user and also a page when he user logs out.
    ideas anyone ....?
    thanx a bunch.
    hero

    Hi,
The sequence of operation you are doing to set the home page for public users is correct. You are getting the login screen as the "custom page group" selected as "home page" has not been granted to public.
Also, while logging-out, it is normal behaviour to get the screen where it shows the list of partner applications from where user has been logged-out. When you click on "Return" button, you will get to the "home page" set above.
    Hope it clarifies the things.
    Regards,
    Ved

  • How do i make a photo slideshow / banner for the welcome page in iWeb

How do i create a photo slideshow or fading slidshow for the welcome page in iweb

There are trillions of slideshows to be found on the internets.
Download the one you like, make it work the way you want and put it on the server.
Display it in the browser to see if it looks the way you want.
Then use the <iframe> html element to display it in a HTML Snippet.
    Like this :

  • Can't change the color of text of links on my Welcome Page

I have a Welcome page with four links that happen to be text that I dragged over from my list of sites. I can change the text style and size but I cannot change the color from the default reddish brown.

To change the color of any hyperlinks, you need to select the link, go to the Hyperlink page, choose the Format option, and then select the color you want for Normal, Rollover, Visited and Disabled.
    This should work.
You can also set the default colors and formats you want for all other entries on that same page.

  • How to embed a BI publisher Report in welcome page of fusion app?

    Hi,
I was a ADF developer, new to fusion app and BI publisher. We are using Oracle Fusion Application version 11.1.7.0.0 for compensation implementation and BI publisher is a part of it.
I've developed a BI publisher report, placed it under Shared Folder \ Custom, want to embed the same in welcome page of the fusion app. By following the video How do I embed a report in a sales dashboard? - YouTube, I followed below steps
    1. Administration -> Customize Work area page
    2. Add Content
    3. Clicked on 'Reports and Analytics'
    4. Clicked on 'BIPresentationServer'
    5. Shared Folder
    6. Custom
Issue: Though I have some reports under this 'Custom' folder, it says 'Empty folder'. It only shows the 'Analysis' but not any reports. Problem is not with this folder alone but all. I've also ensured that I am able to see all the reports when I navigate using Navigator -> Tools - > Reports and Analysis.
Can any of you guide me on what is the issue and what to be done?
    Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for the link. I am reading it for better understanding.
I just came to know from SR that, In order to see the BI Publisher in the Presentation Server list of values, we have to embed the BI Publihser report inside an OTBI Dashboard.
So we need to create a 'Dashboards' folder (It is must only then we are able to see it via fusion apps. to select and embed), then Dashboard and add the desired report to this dashboard. Now we can navigate to this dashboard, open it and select the page to embed it.
Might be useful for the ppl who faces similar issue. Thanks.

  • Can't get back to root welcome page while logged in as administrator

    Greetings all,
Something weird has occurred with our iTunes U channel. If I log in as primary administrator, I have access to the tools for creating dependent welcome pages. If I create a new dependent welcome page, and then click on the new welcome page to navigate to it and edit it, I get told "This page has no content. Click to edit".
Once I'm at this point (whether I edit the new page or not), I can no longer return to the root welcome page as an administrator. The "Back" button is greyed out. I can get back to the root welcome page as a non-admin user, for instance by clicking the name of my institution in the top right hand menu bar. This gives me an outdated root welcome page without any of the standard administrative links in the top right-hand corner, and there is no "Click to Edit" link.
In order to get back to the root page as an admin, I have to go back to the Admin login page in my browser, and go through the whole process of logging in again.
Has anyone had any experience with something similar happening to them? If so, how did you resolve the problem?
    TKA for any assistance,
    Erik Norvelle
