Welcome screen doesnot open left side transaction menu

All-
I am working on a SRM 5.0/ Classic scenario implementation. The problem that we are facing is that when a user logs onto to the web gui, the initial screen by default hides the left hand side transaction screen.
The user has to manually click the arrow on the left hand side to open up the menu. The requirement is when the user logs on, this left hand side transaction menu should be open initially by default itself.
I have solved this problem in serendipity but i am unable to understand the root cause. Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.
Points will be rewarded !!
Thanks,
Sundeep

Hi
I tried to find OSS notes in this case. But found nothing related to this.
Is this happening for a particular user or for all the users ?
If this only a single user problem, then try unstalling the old Web browser (Internet explorer) and again install the latest web browser and then try again.
Also, ensure that your PC is installed with latest Java runtime Environment (JRE 1.5 or more).
Else, raise an OSS message with SAP.
Hope this will help.
Please reward full points, incase it suits your requirements.

  • Best way of having left-side navigation menu?

    Hello Folks,
    I'm interested in developing an application using JSP and the design requirement is that it should have a left-side navigation menu. Is there an Oracle recommended way of doing this or should I resort to using DHTML? In addition, please let me know if you have any suggestions.
    Thanks!

    You have two parts in your question: left side navigation menu;
    You can define and use templates (HTML Templates) for your Pages in the Portal to structure your pages, such that Navigation or navigational tools can be placed on the page wherever you like. That is for the positioning of the navigational tools.
    To define your navigational tools (menus, for eg), you may still use DHTML and/or a combination of other methods.
    hope that helps!

  • Left side of menu screen cut off on tv but not on computer?

    i just finished making an imovie that i transferred over to idvd & burned a few dvd's...brought it home & tested it out on the computer & it looks great!
    but when i use it in both our tv's (one that is a wide flat screen & one that is more 'standard), the left side of the menu is completely cut off. the video plays ok (although on the flat screen lcd tv, everything is stretched out), but it is just several letters in the title that are cut off.
    any way to fix this?
    thanks!

    I didn't see anywhere to set the screen size, so I'm not sure (I used a computer at work to make it) but I have the same problem when playing it on both the widescreen 16:9 and the standard 4:3 tv's in my house, so I wasn't sure if it had to do with that?

  • Want Welcome screen to open up all the time in itunes

    I'm trying to sync my ipod to itunes and want the Welcome screen to appear when I open itunes.  Instead, the program takes me straight to my library.  How can I get itunes to always open up to my Welcome screen?

    You cannot.

  • Yellowish screen only on left side of iPad

    Has anyone else noticed that the screen is a bit more yellowish on the left side of the screen? It is most apparent when the screen is white. There has to be someone else out there with the same problem, right? So, my question is, how do I fix it? Should i even take it into an apple store? I fear I will be without an iPad for a long time if I do.

    UPDATE:
    I had the same problems with yellow cast on the right-hand side of the screen with the left being noticeably brighter and bluer. I spoke to Apple and they shipped me a replacement because I told them I found it distracting and would have to return it otherwise (I had initiated contact on the issue on day 14). I was sent a replacement and I'm pleased to say the new screen is much better, much more uniform brightness and tint. Holding the two units side by side for comparison it was easy to see the difference in the two screens. I almost didn't bother to return the first one because I noticed similar issues with the store demos, but now I'm glad I did because I can actually read PDFs without distraction. Good luck and kudos to Apple for taking care of their customers after the sale.
    As a side note, I was told by my local store there is some flexibility in the 14-day return rule for the iPad because it's a brand new product and Apple wants to support early adopters.

  • Iphone 5 White Screen Warm on Left Side, Cooler on Right Side.

    I got my iphone 5 almost a week ago. Right away I noticed that the right side looked slightly bluer than the left, with it being coolest at the upper right. When a banner pops up at the top it is real noticeable, when reading text on a background of a white screen the right side looks greyer or bluer. It is slight, but when reading left to right and back to the left it is annoying. My family is not bothered much by it, but I guess they don't have to look at it. Also seems to reflect less light on the right side. I have been trying to ignore it, but I am not sure I will be able to as it always catches my eyes when reading web pages.
    I am thinking of going to a genius bar and asking for a new phone. What is the policy for replacements? Do they readily replace phones for issues like this? Do they replace a 1 week phone with another new one or a refurb? Is this a reason for a replacement? Is this a common problem? My son's iphone 5 is fine, and my wife's 4 and my son's and my iphone 4 did not have this slight variance in their screens.
    Ken

    I have the same problem but mine slightly cooler on the top left cornder.

  • I some how moved all my icons from the bottom of the screen to the left side and can't get them back, cn anybody help?

    can anybody help?

    Click the Apple icon on the top left of the screen and move the cursor to Dock. On the list that appears you will be able to check "Position on Bottom".

  • Is there a way to open the right click menu on the left side of your pointer?

    Whenever I try to right-click an object that's located on the right side of the screen, the pointer always automatically click whatever entry in the right-click menu which just happens to be under the pointer the moment the menu is opened. I noticed that the reason this happens is because the right click menu always forces itself to open on the right side of the pointer, and when there isn't enough space, the right-click menu will open underneath the pointer. Since this is horribly inconvenient, is there a way to open the right-click menu on the left side of your pointer?

    Are you saying you have an icon on the far right side and when you rt click on it, your pointer ends up opening wherever it lands? That is a two step process, or normally should be at least a two step process. Do you have a Mouse in your Control Panel? You should check, because there may be some properties with which you can play. For instance, I can switch primary and secondary functions on my mouse buttons by checking a box.
    When I rt click on right side, the menu opens on the left.
    When I rt click on left side, the menu opens on the right.
    In order for me to take an action, I then have to move to an area in that menu and click.
    I hope I understood your question correctly.

  • MacBook has a bunch of lines on the left side of the screen.

    Hello all, how are you doing?
    Anyways to away from all the bullcrap, my MacBook is having issues with its screen and I really don't know what to do. I didn't use it for a few days when SimCity came in, and when I finally decided to use it, it had a bunch of lines in the screen that are quite annoying. For the most part I ignored the problem because at one point all I had to do was open and close it and the lines would go away, but now there not going away and as of yesterday my entire screen has been having problems. Like a few minutes ago the entire screen was going white so I closed it and it went away, but I just want to fix this now before my screen is completely broken. One thing that I did find out with my natural curosity or experminting to fix things was that if I bent the edge of the screen on the left side, the lines go away so hopefully that's telling somehow.
    Any help will be appreciated and I'll post two pictures below.

    The screen or the graphic card are damaged. In your case, you have to take your MacBook to an Apple Store or reseller to have the computer repaired, because it's not a software-related issue

  • Best approach -Tabs based ADF Tree left side navigation with Dynamic Regions with out UI Shell

    Hi,
    Somebody can help for the best approach to implement the following requirement.
    Req: When the user select the ADF Tree left side navigation menu, each menu will open as multiple tabs(Dynamic Tabs) in right side content area with out UI Shell Template.
    I completed the
    Step-1: From the Model project, I can able to render ADF Tree in the using view and view links. I can get the adf tree which is having 3 menu items. Each menu item having 2 sub menu's.
    I took each menu item as one(1) taskflow, each taskflow will have two(2) fragments.
    Total I have 3 task flows as Menu Items and 6 fragments for sub menu's.
    Step-2:  My question is How do I implement Tab based the ADF tree navigation (left side area to dynamic regions in content area) through dynamic regions? Please provide the steps in view layers.

    Than ks for your response.
    This is working fine for ADF Tree navigation with dynamic regions if the taskflow having only one fragment. if the taskflow having more than one fragments, this will not work. The following conditions are always satisfies one page fragment of either "employees" or "departments" task flow.  If the "employees" task flow have 2 page fragments, it's not work even you pass parameters through routers.
    public TaskFlowId getDynamicTaskFlowId() {
    if (currentTaskFlowID == null ||
    currentTaskFlowID.equalsIgnoreCase(“employees”)) {
    return TaskFlowId.parse(employeetaskFlowId);
    if (currentTaskFlowID != null &&
    currentTaskFlowID.equalsIgnoreCase(“departments”)) {
    return TaskFlowId.parse(departmetaskFlowId);
    return TaskFlowId.parse(employeetaskFlowId);
    My question is "Same use case with Dynamic Tabs" when the user click on any adf tree node.

    What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on?
    First go from the 12 to 12.1 Update (See Help Menu/Update).
    Assuming that you are running your program on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit and that the program was installed to the default Local Disc C location
    Go to
    Local Disk C
    Program Files
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements 12
    and in the Premiere Elements 12 Folder are:
    Adobe Premiere Elements 12.exe
    and
    Adobe Premiere Elements.exe
    Double click the Adobe Premiere Elements 12.exe file. Does the program open to its Welcome Screen?
    You say that you are instructing the Welcome screen to open with Welcome screen by going to settings and selecting Welcome
    Screen, followed by Done. Are you hitting Done as your final action there before you close out of the program and reopen it?
    If so, if you cannot set for Welcome Screen, can you set for Organizer or Video Editor with the Welcome Screen settings?
    More later.
    Looking forward to your follow up.
    Thank you.

  • InD CS6: indb recent items listed in Welcome Screen?

    I upgraded my InDesign to CS6 and hoped that some things would get better. But not.
    (Is that a good place to post feature requests?)
    I hoped that the books (.indb) would be listed in recent opened documents. I usually work with books rather than single documents, therefore I would like to at least configure what kind of document will be listed in the menu or in the welcome screen. When working with a book I don't even want to be tempted to open a document outside it.
    Also, I would expect that the books floating palette would not be obscured by the welcome screen upon opening a book. Even though I'm aware of this problem it's kind of weird and may be misleading for beginners.
    Best regards,
    Artur

    Docking of a book - just like docking of Swatches palette - does not work for me. When I quit InD and then relaunch it, the book is not there. I mean something like a bookmark-style behavior.
    All I could do about it was by using pin feature in Windows 7.

  • Re: DW "Welcome Screen"

    I have a Mac (Leopard), and have heard that for some reason,
    because of this, I am unable to clean up the list of items in the
    Welcome Screen's "Open a Recent Item" list. This seems odd. I want
    to clean up my list because, in practicing and going through
    various tutorials, I've created a large number of practice
    "Websites." Now I have this huge list of not-real sites or "items."
    (Of course I have tried clicking on the item and clicking the
    "delete" button. I have also gone to the Help menu and have called
    Adobe's Customer Support, all to no avail.)
    Anyone know the answer to this? Thanks!
    Violet

    I know in windows the only way is to delete registry entries
    (which is crazy to have to do !) but on the mac I know there IS no
    registry...Either way there's no option in DW itself

  • Lock up at Welcome Screen

    since the other thread (How to disable the welcome screen?) has been "Answered" starting a new one:
    after launching PS gets stuck at the welcome screen. i can't scroll down to tell it not to show.. BECAUSE IT's FROZEN. there's not content in it and i can't quit PS unless i go to task manager.
    the only way i can get it to work is to disable network access, launch PS, close the welcome screen, and then re-enable network access.
    i checked my firewall and host file, tried multiple dns servers, double checked iptables on my router, nothing works.
    all other CC programs launch fine, including the welcome screens - which i was able to turn off.
    the "Do Not Show..." should not be a part of the web content as, you see now, causes a problem when it won't load and no way to turn it off. at least make it an option in the prefs b/c i can hit ctrl+k before the welcome screen comes up to change some things.

    In all the cases that we've seen where display of the Welcome screen truly locks up the computer, its been due to a corruption in the anti-virus software on that computer.  Modern operating systems don't allow application processes to lock up the whole system.  Its only OS level processes that can take down the whole system.  The anti-virus software hooks into the OS level to intercept network communications and thus when it has problems, it can hang the whole system.  We're not yet sure what it is about the Welcome screen that uncovers this problem.  My suggestion to you is to try uninstalling and reinstalling your anti-virus software.
    There are cases that we're tracking where the Welcome screen appears mostly blank, but the system is not locked up.  In these cases, the window can be moved, the red button to close the Welcome screen works, and you can pick menu items to open a file from disk.  This is a different problem and the computer is not locked up, not even Photoshop is locked up, only the Welcome screen is.  We think we've narrowed this problem down to certain special characters in a name of a recent file that's causing the Welcome screen to fail.  If you clear your list of recent files, then the Welcome screen works as intended.  We're working on a fix for this issue right now.
    Hope this helps.

  • Photoshop crashes while displaying welcome screen

    We have developed a plug in for Photoshop. Once we have installed the same on target system, this customized welcome screen appears when we open photoshop. Now an attempt to close photoshop 'with the welcome screen still open results in a crash'. This welcome screen is a modal dialog, run on a thread.
    I am not very comfortable with the idea of running this modal dialog on a thread. But, it has been implemented this way. I feel this is where things are going wrong.
    Any tips or suggestions as to what can be wrong, or where i need to be looking to debug the same.
    I have tried to debug the same, but in vain.
    thanks in adavnce

    If you want a welcome screen you should make an automation plug-in that responds to first idle. You can probably get away with using a thread for your dialog. Make sure the thread does not communicate with the Photoshop. Have the thread talk to the main plug-in thread, the PluginMain routine that Photoshop called, if you need to use Photoshop call backs.
