    Hello,

  • Master Password being asked each time I start FireFox

    Hello.
I have activated master password but it keeps on asking it every time it starts up. my homepage is about:blank and even with BOTH plugins and add-ons DISABLED, it still asks for the master password.
    Is this normal behavior?

If you cancel the request, does it quickly recur, or not until you reach a site you've actually saved a password for?

  • When I start Firefox, I can not open a website. How can I correct this?

When I first start Firefox, the following happens:
The symbol to the left of the input box is faded out.
After typing a website to load, nothing happens.
I can load a website by using the Google Search. After doing this, Firefox seems to run ok.

If you start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]], does it work? there is perhaps an extension that is interfering with Firefox's normal operation. If it works in Safe Mode, you can try disabling your extensions one-by-one until you find the culprit. • Why are Mail and Firefox swapping places when the computer wakes, and how can I make them stop?

If I put my MacBook Air to sleep with Firefox as the top application, when I wake the computer, Mail will jump to the top. If Mail is on top when the computer sleeps, when I wake the computer, Firefox will leap to the top.
This has only happened for the last week or two; the two aps have otherwise coexisted peacefully for the last couple years.
Does anyone know what's happening and how to make it stop?
    Thanks,

  • I clicked something and it started importing all my emails from other account. How do I make it stop. I Don't want them all

    Setting up account.
I want to get new emails from the yahoo account but don't want them all copied.
    Can I do this?
It started importing and I can't get it to stop. How can I stop it

it is useful to offer some info on what type of account you're talking about.
    '''POP'''
Pop mail accounts only look at Inbox and download whatever has not been previously downloaded. They cannot access nor download from any other folder on the server.
So if you do not want older emails downloading, then you need to access your webmail account using a browser and move all older emails into a suitable folder, but not the Inbox, then Thunderbird cannot see them.
By default, it usually downloads and deletes the copy on the server, but you can change this preference.
    * Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings for the mail account
    or
    * menu icon > Options > Account Settings > Server Settings for the mail account
select: 'leave messages on the server'
    optional:
select: 'for at most xx days'
this will delete anything older than specified number of days
    select 'Until I delete them'
when you delete an email it will be deleted off the server.
click on Ok to save settings.
    '''Stopping a download:'''
There is a button you can add to the Mail toolbar.
    * View > Toolbars > customise
    or
    * Menu Icon > Options > Toolbar Layout
Drag the 'Stop' icon onto toolbar.
close Customise window - top right X.
click on 'Stop' icon to stop current action of download.
    '''IMAP:'''
IMAP mail accounts see a remote view of the subscribed folders on the server, so you would see whatever is in any subscribed folder.
You can choose to synchronize subscribed folders and select settings to limit what is downloaded.
Tools > Account Settings > synchronization & storage.
see good info at this link:

  • Each time I start Firefox an alert appears instructing me that Firefox 36.04 is available for download. I have agreed to this download several times.

Whenever Firefox starts an alert for 36.0.4 update appears. I download it, restart Firefox and the alert reappears as well.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop
    *Firefox 37.0: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
*Trash the current Firefox application (open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Installing+Firefox+on+Mac

  • Error Message each time I start Firefox

TypeError: Components.classes['@softage.ru/skype/SkypeFfExtension;1'] is undefined is the error message I get everytime I sign in to firefox. What's the problem? Skpy problems too. Can't I use Skype now? Since I installed last version after 3.6 I have crashes and force close messages. Trouble shoot crash as usual but does not good. Must be in the new version. Help!!

why not just use Skype by itself without the extension. The extension is not needed. What beside being able to dial a number by highlighting text do you gain. Paste the number into Skype. I presume you get the extension directly from Skype and not at add-ons. Looking at some of the extensions that look up phone numbers for use by Skype they are huge extensions and appear to offer very little for their size.
