In my experience, SMS between BT and Virgin mobiles is very hit and miss. I know one Virgin user that receives my texts, but his messages usually take hours to arrive at my landline, if they arrive at all. The two other Virgin mobiles I contact frequently never (ever) receive texts from my landline, though both can send them to me with little or no delay. Go figure! I think it has something to do with some historic thing about T-Mobile having a different SMS system from the other networks, but I couldn't really find out any details. (Virgin uses the T-Mobile hardware, I believe.)
I logged a couple of faults with BT about this but I just got fobbed off. I'm now trying to persuade friends not to take a Virgin mobile :-)

I have lost my 'file,edit, ...' task bar from the upper left side of my LR screen. My upper left corner now reads something about welcome to Lightroom mobile. ( I have never had or used the mobile version and I can't use it anyway. ) When I push my mouse pointer up again the top of the screen the 'file, edit,...' does not reappear and stay as it has been doing for the last 3 years. How can I get it back? And, maybe what did I do so I can avoid this from happening again? Thank you. (I am not PC knowledgeable, please bear with me.)

Does the menu bar appear when you move your mouse pointer to the top of your display. If so then you could change the behavior of Lightroom via the menu Window->Screen Mode

Hello
I have a question about my L1520 battery life and its discharge rate.
Cellular: On ( LTE )
Internet Sharing: On ( One laptop connected )
Display: Off
BT: Off
Location: Off
Double tap to wake: Off
Glance: Peek
Apps open on the background: Nothing most of the times
Applications allowed to perform in the background ( Almost used for PUSH Notifications and the apps are not open. ): Viber, Whats app, Outlook ( One email ), Insider, Weather ( For two cities )
And I think that's all,
Battery consumption: about 2 percent every 20 minutes.
I want to know if it is normal or not. Because I'm a little worried about the discharge rate and the bettery health.

Hiv ayishu. Are you unable to download any application from the Store? Does this happen regardless of the connection being used? To ensure that you have a stable internet connection, try browsing other websites or try accessing other internet-based apps. By the way, do you remember the error code/message that you're getting? Internet Explorer always wanting to re-download ta...

If I switch from one tab to another in Internet Explorer on my Lumia 635, it will *always* attempt to re-download the tab that I am switching to, even if I was only away from it for a moment. This is a big problem when I try to e.g. brows the internet on a train, where I often lose service in tunnels. I will open a tab, read it for a while, follow a link in a new tab, and then switch back to the original tab...only to find that the data from the original tab is gone, and now the phone can't re-download it because I'm in a tunnel with no service. It's also problematic when I'm looking at tabs with large websites in places with poor reception, because it can take forever for the page to download. Annoyingly, it always forgets where I was in a page, so if I'm part of the way through a long page that I switch away from for a moment, it will jump me back to the top of the page when I return to the tab. And of course, it's needlessly running through my data allotment downloading the same things over and over again.
This happens even when there are no other apps active and the phone has plenty of free memory, so if it's a memory manager issue, the manager is obviously being *way* too aggressive.
Is there a way to make my phone actually remember the data in each tab, so that I don't have to re-download a tab every time I switch back to it?

Can't seem to install Windows Phone Recovery Tool

I'm trying to install WP Recovery Tool because while I loved the Windows 10 preview for phones, the no cellular data is a no-no for me.
Every time I try to install the recovery tool, I keep getting 0x80072efd- Unspecified Error.
Any suggestions?

1520 - Headphones no longer work following Denim U...

The headphone jack has stopped working since I updated my Lumia 1520 to Denim. Music / phone call comes out speakers instead of headphones.
Also, the Music Player feature has major issues since the Denim update. Music playing stops about every 10 seconds. It acts as if I've paused the player. I can un-pause it but it then automatically pauses again after a few seconds. This behavior is the same in both the XBox Music and MixRadio apps.
All the above features work fine on Bluetooth, but do not work on the headphone jack.
All the above features worked fine prior on the headphone jack priot to Denim.
I think it's a software / headphone-jack driver issue with Denim.
I have power-cycled the phone. Did not help.
Please advise.

About your other concern, does it happen to all the songs that you have on the phone or even with online streaming? Power-cycled meaning turning the phone off and on, am I right? Have you also tried resetting the phone by holding down the power button+volume down button at the same time and see if there are any changes? We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Nokia Lumia 1520 progressively worse

After receiving Lumia Denim on my Nokia Lumia 1520 the irritating issues I received on my Nokia Lumia 1520 during Lumia Cyan became worse, and I can't factory reset it as the back up function doesn't work and I don't want to lose my valuable data. The most common issues is that the screen starts randomly ''pressing'' on a non-existing button on the lower left corner of the screen, and it would randomly ''press'' the back and/or search button.
On my Nokia Lumia 920 I also had back up problems, but they were fixed with Lumia Denim, despite the ''back-up'er'' telling me that every attempt at a back up failed, so when I recently bought a new Nokia Lumia 930 it was a pleasant surprise that ALL my data (except for alarms, and Cortana reminders) was synchronised, but now my Nokia Lumia 930 has THE SAME back up problems as my Nokia Lumia 1520 and my Nokia Lumia 920... the odd part is that my American cousin who has a Microsoft Lumia 535 has the same problems, as does my Chinese girlfriend who has a Samsung ATIV SE, this seems to be a recurring problem in Windows Phone...

Lumia 620 Following Denim Update

Looking for help with the following issue. Prior to Denim, whenever I made an in car call using bluetooth, the details of the person I was calling would appear on screen (even if Glance was on). Following Denim, whenever I make an outgoing call, the details do not appear so I am never sure if I am actually calling the correct person.
Have done a hard re-set but this has not resolved the issue.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Problems with speaker

i bought my iphone 4s 2 month ago and now i am having problem with my speaker .I get sound through headphones, but not through speakers. Occasionally I will get sound (clicking when unlocking) but then it goes again. is there any solution or is there any setting for that please help me fast now my iphone 4s is like A deaF.If i clamis for warranty do i get it fixed?

Were you able to set your phone via speaker mode while you're in a call? Where are you located, btw? It seems that you're trying to use some of the speech commands, right? You may check this link to see if you're current region is included from the list: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/wp8/basics/feature-and-service-availability. You may also update the phone's system apps from the Settings > swipe left, applications > store > check for updates. Keep us posted.

Though that app is not available for your phone, you can still try searching for other apps that have the same functionality. See recommendations below:

Hi, ppvinod424. Can we have the phone's model? Did you check if your phone has the correct date+time? Which connection are you using, Wi-Fi or mobile data? Aside from your MS account, do you experience the same behavior with your other email accounts? To make sure that the Microsoft account services are up and running, you may go to this page: https://status.live.com/. Let us know the outcome.

Strange clicking sound on my Lumia 930 arround the...

When my camera is not activated, if I mildly shake my Lumia 930 I can hear a strange clicking sound on the upper part of the device, just arround the camera lense. Can it be the lenses just shaking, because when the camera is activated that sound disappears.

Hi, Tomislav5. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community. How long have you been noticing this issue? Did you change any settings on the device that may cause this to happen? Make sure that the system apps on the device are all updated. You may check it by going to Store > ... > settings > check for updates. You may also try rebooting your phone by pressing and holding the volume down and the power keys at the same for 10-15 seconds and see if it makes any difference. you may need to set the date and the time after this operation. We'll wait for your response.

Lumia 520 DNS & Wifi problem

Hey,
SInce my ISP told me to shut off my DNS Proxy from my router, the Wifi on my Lumia doesn't work anymore. My 520 automatically selects the wrong DNS and I can't change it from the phone. My router is the TeleWell EAV510. I have tried to change the DNS Server primary and secondary to my ISP's DNS, but the phone still picks up the wrong DNS.

but I don't have any DNS settings under LAN. My DNS settings are a separate menu on the left side.
