I get this download automatically when I star Firefox: Filezilla_3.10.2_win32-setup.exe and brings me tot the site "Welcome to Flash Video Downloader for Firefox " for FVD ConverterWelcome to Flash Video Downloader". But I cannot find it in my Extensions tot delete it. Anyone knows how to get rid of this malware?

The Flash Video Downloader is related to one of the many Youtube extensions you have installed.

Mozilla AddOn Flash Video Downloader version 7.1.0 up to version 7.2.3 with Windows 7 :
I have requested for support from Flash Video Downloader support-team for installed addon Flash Video Downloader,
but this problem issue could not be solved.
While I have opened several firefox windows, with the new versions of Flash Video Downloader, the firefox windows are
reopened in accidental order after restarting firefox, but not in original order as before. If I had deinstalled Flash Video
Downloader addon, all windows of firefox were opened again in original order. And if I had reinstalled mozilla addon
Flash Video Downloader again, then after restarting firefox, all windows were opened again in accidental order, but not
    in original order.
Because of opening tabs automatically from Flash Video Downloader website after deinstalling this addon, I want to ask
mozilla support, if I could trust this addon, and why this addon influences mozilla firefox while opening several firefox
windows in accidental order, but not in original order.
After deinstalling Flash Video Downloader addon in all opened firefox windows, a new tab from Flash Video Downloader
website was opened for feedback response. One feedback tab in one window should be enough as before.

It currently is not blocked: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/]
If it was installed from the addons.mozilla.org it can be trusted, however if there are issues I would report it.

  • Everytime I start firefox I get its web page plus Flash Video Downloader advertisement in 2nd tab, how do I get rid of this

I get the standard Firefox web page but also get a second web page advertisement for Flash Video Downloader. I use Flash Video Downloader already and my data use is limited monthly so I don't want this page coming up every time I get on the web browser. I've asked the Flash Video folks but they have no suggested solutions. It is not shown in options for home page and I can't find where it is being loaded from.

    Hello,
Try restore your startup page(Home Page), go to '''Tools''' >> '''Option''' >> '''General''', and restore to default or a page that you want.

I don't know that any Flash downloader extensions work in Firefox for Android. You would be best off asking for support from the extension authors at https://fvdmedia.userecho.com/list/21650-firefox-extensions/?category=4944

  • Actually want to report that Add-On "Flash Video Downloader Suite or FVD Suite" has a built in search engine hijacker. Suggest you ban it.

I installed FVD Suite because it sounded like it was a good all in one video downloader. WHen installing it asked me if I wanted to switch my search engine to theirs and I selected no. However, once installed it tried on several occasions to hijack my search engine. Luckily I have a search engine protection "BrowserProtect" which blocks any attempt to make changes to my browser settings. After about 2 or 3 days I finally got tired of the hijack attempts and tried to uninstall FVD Suite. At that time I found out that it was also running in several other places on my computer other than just in Firefox. Not sure why or what it was doing, not that skilled, but didn't like the fact that it was in other places and also don't like having my browser constantly under attack from a plug-in.

I just downloaded this yesterday, and I want it removed. I'm having trouble with step #3. I can't find "delete whole line which contain string "flashvideodownloader.org/result.php".
    Please help.

  • My flash video downloader is not working properly, and i can't able to download any videos. Is there any way to fix it ? please help me ...

  • When new firefox kicked in I lost some of my apps on my tool bar how do i get them back? I lost ani weather, ant video downloader, and flash video downloader.

when the new fire fox change kicked in I lost some of my add on apps such as ani weather, ant video down loader, and flash & video down loader, how do I get them back? I tried reinstalling them but they don't show up in the tool bar.

    Hi,
I'm assuming all of your extensions were on the Add-on Bar. The Add-on Bar has been removed in Firefox 29[1] but you can get it back easily using an extension[2]

  • Cant download flash videos

I have installed flash player and also I have installed flash video downloader. i cant download videos how to download videosu

Video downloaders for android dont work for youtube as this is aganist google's app policy.

  • Why the flash player don't work after installing the video downloader add-on?

I've installed and uninstall the Firefox mobile app several times to try and fix this issue. Every time I add the video downloader add-on the flash player won't let me tap to play videos anymore. I've tried to completely enable the flash but still didn't work. I've used this add on for a few months and it worked fine up until the last Firefox update. Without the add-on the flash player works fine but after I've added the video downloader add-on I would have to uninstall and reinstall the mobile spot to get the flash to work again. I really love to use this add-on that's the advantage that Firefox mobile app has over other web browser. Please tell me how I can fix this issue. THANKS

    Thankyou for reaching us here
About your problem , have you tried to clear your privacy/browsing data? And see if flash works?
And you can try to disable the add-on, if you don't want to use it . and enable it again if you want to download a video .
    Cheers!

  • Progressive Download Flash Video - why is it blank?

    Hi there
Using DW8 I have inserted a .flv (flash video file) of about
2megs in size. It previews just fine, with the skin and controls

Yet when I upload the page to my site's server and then check
it out online the area where the video should be is totally blank
and there is no way of seeing the video.
I'm at my wits' end almost!!

  • Why can't Flash Video be as simple as  QT?

After weeks of unsuccessfully trying to convert my
QuickTime/Windows Media-based video gallery to a working Flash
gallery, I finally gave up and returned to the
    old-school-yet-tried-and-true QT/WMV.
But I'm still curious - QT & WMV are able to use a single
file (.mov or .wmv) while Flash requires the file AND a player
(Somehow my track record of getting the swf to play the flv was
sketchy). One of the perks of Flash, as I understood it, was that
the majority of browsers are able to play Flash movies. But it's
not quite as simple. Being required to upload the swf in order to
play the flv seems to be like imbedding a QT plug-in to play the
.mov. Why can't Flash Video be as simple as simply downloading the
flv just as playing a Quicktime Movie is as simple as downloading
the mov (as long as the user has the correct plug-in)?

  • "Activity window" in Safari no longer works to download YouTube videos. Why not? Workaround?

For years I have used Apple's recommended standard technique whenever I wanted to download a Flash video embedded in a YouTube page to my hard drive:
    - Open a YouTube page and click on the video's "play" button to get it started;
    - Press command-option-A to then open up Safari's "Activity Window" which lists all the components of the page;
    - Find on the list the component for the loading Flash video, which is usually much larger (measured in MB rather than KB) than all the other components, and also is usually still in the process of loading, so it's easy to spot;
    - Double-click the component's name on the list in the Activity Window, and voila, the video downloads to my hard drive.
This "trick" is described everywhere as THE standard way to download YouTube videos (and similar page components); and I have used it successfully for many years.
HOWEVER, sometime very recently (not sure when, exactly -- a few weeks or months ago) YouTube has changed the way its pages are coded, so that this technique no longer works. When I open the Activity Window, instead of seeing one large loading video file that's easily identifiable, I see a whole series of large files, all exactly 1.7mb big (no matter how large the file size of the actual video in question is), and they constantly increase in number -- at first there are two such files, but over the seconds and minutes more and more appear. Furthermore, many files with no named size are constantly loading and then disappearing. And here's the whole point: I've tried double-clicking on ALL of these files, dozens of ways on dozens of YouTube pages, and none of the are the video file I seek and none of them cause the file to  download to my hard drive.
If I click on one the mysterious 1.7mb components, I indeed get a ".flv" downloaded to my hard drive, but it's not actually a Flash video; clicking on its downloaded file icon just brings up a blank box or an error message saying that it's not really a video file at all. I think it's some sort of "decoy" file or something to do with streaming Flash code.
To see what I mean, just go to YouTube, load any random video page, and then open Safari's Activity WIndow and try to download the video that way.
This happens on an iMac running Safari 5.1 on OSX 10.6.8, and also on a MacBook Pro running Safari 5.0.2  on OSX 10.6.5, and on a few other new-ish Macs I tested it out on, but failed to note their version numbers.
I'm presuming that this problem is not specific to my computer, but is caused by the way that YouTube altered the background code for their pages. I don't know if the glitch is an intentional attempt by YouTube to prevent downloads, or if it is an accidental "bug" of the new code. Either way:
How can I fix the problem? Is there some other lesser-known built-in way for Safari/Mac to download the new kind of YouTube videos? Or is there some reliable freeware or shareware or plug-in or extension or whatever for Safari that would enable YouTube downloading?
I tried a freeware program called "Evom" that was highly touted, but it too was thwarted by the new YouTube code and failed to extract any videos from the YouTube page, even though that's what the application was designed to do.
As a side note, I will say that I also have (though rarely use) FireFox for Mac, and the "Unplug" plug-in installed on it, and that ALSO "broke" recently and no longer has the capacity to recognize or download YouTube videos, even though previously it worked fine. This is why I think the issue is not specific to my set-up or computer, but is due to a change in YouTube's underlying code.)
Any help with an explanation, solution or workaround would be much appreciated (by me and by millions of others who I assume are facing the same problem!).

    Carolyn:
I just now did exactly as you recommended. Result? No change.
Even after trashing the files and restarting and everything else, the Activity Window and YouTube behave exactly as they did before.
(I had actually previously tried something very similar to your recommendation, and it didn't have any effect then either.)
In case it's helpful, here's an example of what one of the mystery components that load endlessly in the Activity Window is listed as:
    http://s.youtube.com/s?rendering=software&lact=102489&decoding=&rt=112.382&et=11 0.829&tsphab=1&st=69.939&tspne=0&tspfdt=262&nsiabblmin=62945.000&nsidf=2&tabsb=1 &ad_flags=0&h=360&nsiabblmean=72646.865&md=1&docid=zPxFu7taftE&bc=15194849&csipt =watch5ad&ad_event=3&el=detailpage&hasstoryboard=1&vid=72A5TVVpDgRoXDV3HvMeKPjLx BFdU61DC&fmt=34&cr=US&sd=BD075E8E6HH1336502192683396&vtmp=1&nsiabblmax=79054.000 &hl=en_US&ns=yt&nsivbblmax=774478.000&referrer=None&sidx=0&hbd=7790924&w=480&hbt =2.751&cid=6&sendtmp=1&sst=0&cfps=25.974025974025974&screenw=1440&mt=0.6&vq=auto &playerw=640&playerh=390&slots=sst~0;sidx~0;at~2_3&scoville=1&at=2_3&volume=100& art=1.842&mos=0&plid=AAS_iqoqfi0mjNc0&fs=0&nsivbblc=208&nsivbblmin=561638.000&bd =931267&allowed=1_1,1_3,2_1,2_3&bt=7.441&fvid=bNz97ILtwqc&screenh=900&len=127.92 &vw=480&nsivbblmean=668895.024&nsiabblc=208&vh=360&fexp=912001,914050,913539,919 306,907217,901802,906507

My computer won't show any videos on safari because it says I need to update flash player. What is flash player and why do i have to download it? I thought flash player comes with your computer.

  • Flash video Progressive Download Performance

I've rendered a series of Flash Video movies selecting the
    HIGH Quality, Progressive Download settings.
Even with a cable modem connection speed of 8 Mbps, these
    movies choke badly on playback.
    http://www.reikoproductions.com/
I don't imagine the SWF publish settings have anything to do
with this, but I have them set to JPEG Quality 100, and the
    Compress Movie checkbox is UNCHECKED.
I am presently rendering a set of movies at MEDIUM Quality
settings, but I'd like to know why these movies choke like this,
with this fast of a connection. I don't know much about the web
hosting server these are posted on, but could it be a slow server?
Something in the HTML code I've missed?
    Thanks!

This is an incorrect question. Length itself (duration) does
    not
matter. Only bitrate does. Check your video bitrate and
    evaluate your
    channel bandwidth.
Progressive download has two big disadvantages against
    streaming:
    - it takes all available channel bandwidth regardless to the
    video
    bitrate. It may cause problems at the client side;
    - it does not allow quick navidation across the video unless
    it will
be completely downloaded to the user's computer.
If you'd like to avoid such problems and you have a
    webhosting with
PHP (or like that), then you could try to use so called HTTP
Streaming, which resolves both of these issues without
    special server
usage. You can find some information here:

  • Why does you tube prevent music video downloads?

I have figured out that music companies do not want you tube users to download videos to their hard drives or jump drives. Well, I want to. All the other videos work fine. I am using Firefox 18.0 with video download helper, and every time I download a music video, it says zero bytes. Zero byte download files, zero byte music video file. So I found the workaround to this problem to be save vid dot com, where I can enter the url to the music video I want to download and save it to my disk. Why does Firefox not allow this. Why does you tube not allow this. Money must be involved. Like I said, there must be some stupid reason why they don't want us to download their music videos. What's their problem. I just want to watch the video when I am offline, and save vid has saved me from getting angry again.
All the other videos that do not have major sponsors download just fine, and it's sad that we have to find workarounds to stupid problems. Save vid allows you to save the you tube video without loading a spybot plugin that changes your home page and peppers you with ads, I'm glad they have it. I hope to save someone else the trouble.

Actually, it is keep vid dot come, not save vid that i used, but both are legit websites that allow you to download videos from anywhere without a lot of hassle or unsafe plugins. Sorry about any confusion.
