Welcome Wizard Failed or Cancelled

Hello All,
I have successfully tested MDT image of Windows 2012 R2 on VMware and Hyper-V. This image is built on MDT server which is on Windows 2012 with ADK 8.1 and MDT is 2013.
When I run this image on HP Server BL460c G7 - I receive below error. I see the installation of Os is completed properly followed by POSTINSTALL sequence...this error is received during reboot in POSTINSTALL sequence.
I see BDD log file on C:\windows\temp\deploymentlogs\bdd.log but since I am not that expert on MDT, I am not able to find culprit while checking log file....also, not sure if I can take BDD log file from ILO console to my PC so that I can upload it here
for reference..
please, anyone has any idea?

Thanks everyone for the support on this.
The blog http://blog.ryanbetts.co.uk/2014/06/mdt-error-litetouch-deployment-failed.html seems
to be working for this problem on different hardware.
Thanks!

  • Import Wizard fails to export - object could not be written in the ids-file

    Hello,
the complete export of the BO environment into a biar-file with the import wizard fails. In the wizard's dialog every option is choosen as "all". When the export is started it stops already in the folder objects. The log file says the object allocation could not be written in the ids-file. So I presume a problem with references.
In order to figure out which object is responsible for the error I varied the export and finally identified the "repository objects" as the the responsible type of objects. When I now run the export and only use the needed repository objects it works fine.
But I don't know, if export is complete (I presume it).
Has anyone a idea what the reason can be for this problem? Can it be fixed in the database? This kind of export did work fine the week before.
    thanks, matthias

Could you quote the entire error message, word-for-word, verbatim? What Import settings are you using ... Copy, Move, Add?
Most likely you have a permissions issue, but it will be much more clear to me if I can see the entire message.

  • Failover Cluster Wizard Fails

I am trying to create a cluster with two Windows Server 2012 nodes on an existing domain where the domain controller is Windows 2003, and the wizard fails with the message:
Set password on (ClusterName). There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
An error occurred while creating the cluster and the nodes will be cleaned up. Please wait..
There was an cleaning up the cluster node. Use Clear-ClusterNode to manually clean up the nodes.

I found the reason. The port 464 TCP and UDP were blocked by windows 2003 firewall. Windows server 2012 by default leaves these ports open, but you should manually open them on windows server 2003.

  • Packaging wizard failed : unauthorized 401 ???

    Hello,
At the end of the packaging wizard (10g) when I want to publish my new application, I receive the following message :
    WTG-20502
    Packaging wizard failed
    401
    unauthorized
    Why ???
    Thanks for your answers.

HTTP error 401 usually means that HTTP authentication is required. While installing the solution you should have been asked for username/password ?

  • Deployment Wizard Fails in 10g AS

Deployment Wizard fails in 10g AS when attempting to upload an .ear file. It throws the following error:
    ClassNotFoundException: ias.oc4j._deploywiz._selectAppDest
This error started when during the upload procedure I lost internet connectivity. It has happened consistently since then.
I have restarted the OC4J instances, the entire machine and even created a brand new instance of OC4J all to no avail. I can no longer deploy .ear files on an OC4J instance on the machine.
Should I just give up and reinstall the entire server?
    Thanks for your help!

368659, I am not sure what has happened to your 10g AS instance; can you check if you have the following file?
      <ORACLE_HOME>/sysman/webapps/emd/ias/oc4j/deployWiz/selectAppDest.uix
If you has not stuck to the installation yet, reinstallation might be a better idea as the installation will be a breeze except that it takes a few minutes.

    Hi Chennie,
    Thank you for the post.
Does the issue persists after you use the "Write a query to specify the data to transfer" option instead of “Copy data from one or more tables or views” option? If so, the issue may occur due to incorrect data type matching between the FastObjects database
data types and SSIS data types. In this condition, I don’t think it is necessary to upgrade the SQL Server version. Since you can open the Column Mappings dialog box, please try to modify the data type mapping manually.
In addition, the issue seems to be the same as the issue described in the following blog:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dataaccesstechnologies/archive/2010/09/09/sql-server-import-export-wizard-fails-while-trying-to-retrieve-the-data-from-pervasive-database.aspx

  • SP Products Config Wizard fails for Socket Error Connection Refused - New Azure Setup (firewalls turned off)

    Hi all,
I'm using this guide: "Step-by-Step: Build a FREE SharePoint 2013 Dev/Test Lab in the Cloud with Windows Azure Infrastructure Services" by Keith Mayer 15 Jul 2013 6:30 AM over on TechNet.
And I'm currently in "Exercise 5: Configure SharePoint Server 2013 in a Windows Azure VM" steps 16/17.
When I try to create a new server farm following those instructions, the process fails.
    The dialog window states:
    "Configuring SharePoint Products"
"Performing configuration task 3 of 10" <- gets stuck here for a while and then I get the error below:
The error from the PSCDiagnostics log is:
Trying to see if port 14387 is free on machine [my sp server]. Min port we will try is 1024, Max port we will try is 49151

(provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.) ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The semaphore timeout period has expired
I've turned Windows firewall off on the SP Server, SQL Server and the AD Server (temporarily of course) and I've given user mydomain\sp_farm local and domain administrative rights as well as full rights within the SQL db.
I can ping from/to the SharePoint/SQL servers and get a response using the host name for each (the internal IP's 10.0.0.5/6 respond).  If I use the DNS server names, the pings fail.
However, after the SharePoint wizard fails, I can see on the SQL server that db SharePoint_Config (default name from SP wizard) is created.  So it looks like the SP wizard can connect because the db is being created.
Is this a timeout issue even though the log file shows "SocketError ConnectionRefused"?
Any ideas on how I can resolve this error?
    Thanks.

    Hi Gary,
For this issue, I'm trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at it.
There might me some time delay. Thank you for your understanding.
    Thanks

  • Unable to install Elements 10. The Wizard failed to install Shared Technologies. Please help.

After PC repair I am unable to re-install Photoshop Elements 10 from a bundled disc as the Wizard was interupted. The Shared Technologies failed to install.
I am using Windows XP Pro. I have been struggling with this problem for 6 weeks now and would very much appreciare some help.

    Hallo Vibrant
Thank you for your concern and interest.
I am trying to reload Photoshop Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 from a bundled disc, after a PC repair. These programs worked perfectly before the problems with my PC.
I do not get a specific error.
The program runs through the process including loading the serial number until, just when I think that the programs are fully loaded I get the following message.
    Installation Wizard Completed
The Wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 could be completely installed.
The below mentioned application failed to install.
    Shared Technologies.
I am signed on as the Administrator whilst trying to install the software.
I don't know if the folder/files are locked.
I have run the Microsoft Fix It program and that reports that there are no problems.
I will try the link that you were kind enough to supply tomorrow. Thank you.

  • CF 9 import wizard failed

    The error is "
Server Monitoring And API is not available in this edition of ColdFusion server."  I can't get to CF9 admin now without it trying to run the import wizard, which failed with the above message.  How can I turn off the import wizard so that I can continue?

I ran into the same error trying to install CF9 Standard upgrade onto a machine that was running CF8 Standard.  While I was able to get the configuration wizard to go away and give me the Administrator, like you, none of my datasources or other settings had carried over.  However, I was able to get everything manually imported. I posted what I did to get everything imported over at my blog:

Before you run Forest Preparation, you need to verify schema preparation and replication manually.
