I'm not sure what you are asking exactly, but the accepted forms of payment are listed online at

Note that there is no "bill me later" sort of option - you must enter one of the accepted forms of payment to be charged at the time of purchase.

How did you create it ? There are instructions on this page for creating a new account (the instructions won't work with existing existing account) without giving credt card details : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
e.g. if currently logged into an account then log of it, then find a free app in the store, click on its free 'price', and you should then be able to create a new account during the 'buying' process and get 'none' as an option on the payments screen -

Anyone else had their credit card details hacked from iTunes today?
My bank contacted me to check on unusual purchases following my iTunes purchases this morning. I have never had my credit card details hacked before and I do a lot of purchases online. Following me giving iTunes my credit card details someone made a purchase to Air Egypt and UAE. Fortunately my bank contacted me before more purchases were made.
I won't be giving my new credit card details to iTunesContact your Credit Card company immediately. They'll explain the charge or reverse it.

It's not that you can't format it because you have no backup, it's because you'll lose everything when you do. Lesson learned. Always have a backup.

My mom let me use her credit card as my payment method in the past. She then had her credit card canceled due to an issue with a company. This payment method is no longer valid, so i was wanting to change the payment method to "none" but it is not available as an option. I live in the Mid-West of the United States. This is an existing account and based on the research i have done on this issue, I've discovered that many people have been saying that the "None" option is only available if you're creating a new Apple ID. Also, when i attempt to change the payment to her new credit card(which i have given up on), it is declined. I've tried it many times but it's always unsuccessful, and i just ordered pizza with it last night so there is money on it. Thank you for the attempt to help me. Much appreciated.

It sounds like you have a credit card saved to your Apple ID payment information and you would like it to be removed from the account and set the payment method to None. You should be able to do this with the following article:

Tap Settings on the Home screen.
Tap iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID. (If you aren't signed in, enter your Apple ID and password and tap Sign In.)

In the Edit section, tap Payment Information.
Update the information that you want to change.
Tap the Done button when you're finished.

It always ask me to fill my credit card number when I want to purchase just with my apple store gift card. I chose 'none' for my billing address, and it always ask for my credit card Number, and ive actually redeemed $110 itunes gift card.
Apple verifies your payment method with nearly every purchase now for your security.
On an iOS device make sure to tap Done after selecting None.
Same thing on a computer. Make sure to click Done if you select None for Payment Method. -
