Wells Fargo good, bad, or just not going to happen?
We applied with WF and got pre approved-- they ran credit (loan only in husbands name) and took verbal info. Approved on the spot, no worries, we were told.
I can't help but feel like this is all a joke, especially after reading on here.

Income- 175,000 salary (new company, same field for 10+years, similar pay scale for 4 years)

Start writing your LOX for the lates and collections. Make sure they have all your documents within the first week. The monthly payment for a 100 year old house is too high. I think you all should wait to get your score up for a better rate. 5% for the amount you're borrowing is too high compared to the average APR being 4.04% now. Ar you planning to live in the home forever? May be hard to sell a home that is 100 years old unless you do some extensive remodeling.

Hi all.... My iphone has decided its just not going to work today. All i have is the apple symbol and nothing else. Won't turn off or charge. Have connected it to the computer and it's not recognising it... Any suggestions please
You should try to restore it "as new iphone" to make sure no corrupt files are copied back from your backup. Transfer your purchases before by right clicking on the phone in the device list and choosing "Transfer purchases"

I have had a Wells Fargo credit card since 2011 and they will not give me a CLI, I only have a $300,00 CL witch is useless when you should not use more then 30% of your line. I have tried three times for a CLI to no avail. What do you think I should do?

Rehabbed 2 student loans. TX Guaranteed is gone, but Wells Fargo remains with government note.
Once my student loans were rehabbed, I thought they had to remove the "assigned to government" notes from the original Wells Fargo tradelines. I thought they could only keep the tradelines there with 120+ past due notes and I would have to goodwill to get the lines removed. Any advice is appreciated!

The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem. -

What you are experiencing is 100% related to Malware.

Why do wells fargo visa statements not print properly.
When downloading Wells Fargo PDF VISA statements, all looks good on the screen and on print preview, but the banners and top few transactions are not printed. It looks like there might be a page size mis-match... Suggestions?
Download Adobe Reader for Mac - here. The print fuctions are much more sophisticated that those available in Preview and the are some know problems with Preview and PDF forms, for example. Make it your default application for PDF docs.

I can receive emails, but I cannot send emails. This just started happening. I have an iPhone and I can send emails from my phone fine. It's just not working on my Macbook. Every time I try to send an email it goes straight to my outbox. Can anyone help?
Thank you for heading me in the right direction. I reset my Mail account for Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net:(customer ID)@att.net (instead of smtp.att.yahoo.com, per Apple's online troubleshooting information). I'm not sure what "(Offline)" means when it appears at the end of my Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)?? In the Advanced box I clicked on "Use custom port: 465" and checked "Use Secure Sockets Layer." Authentication: Password; I have correct User Name and Password put in. After doing all this, when I try to send emails again today, they go directly to the Outbox and sit there.
What's curious is that my first sent email this morning did go out using the Outgoing Mail Server, smtp.att.yahoo.com: (customer ID)@att.net(Offline) but subsequent emails I tried to send with this server were rejected with the message: "Cannot send message using the server smtp.att.yahoo.com (etc.). The SMTP server doesn't support TLS(SSL) on port 587. Verify your account settings and try again." That's when I tried resetting my Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net (etc.), as mentioned above, and was unsuccessful in sending out any further emails. I guess my next step is to contact my email service provider, AT&T, and see if they can help me. Thanks, again, for taking the time to respond and for giving me your input! Much appreciated! -
Pages 4.3 will open Appleworks Power PC Documents, but I Pages 5 will not. What am I missing? or is the software just not as good as 4.3?
"Some users have reported" is a mild way to put it. To answer your question "or is the software just not as good as 4.3?" more directly... it's only better in transparency between platforms. Oh, one other improvement- it DOES run faster, but then of course it would since it's so much more lightweight. -
Just Updated to 10.5.2 on Feb 10, 2008, Display not going to sleep anymore

I am running on a Macintosh G4 Graphite (which has been heavily upgraded to a G4 1.8 Ghz processor (Sonnet Tech Encore) and it has 1 GB RAM and an upgraded ATI Radeon 9200 Mac Edition video card). Under 10.4 -10.5.1 everything worked fine.
I have my Power management settings set to put the display to sleep every 30 mintues and changed to 3 mins to check if something else was up.. but the display is definitely NOT going to sleep any more.
Any thoughts and is anyone else having this issue?
I have not yet trashed the preferences file, mainly because I am not sure where it lives.

Just wanted to update you on how I fixed the problem. Not sure what specifically in the combination fixed it, but it does now work
First I opened System Prefs > Energy Saver and hit the set to defaults button. I then exited System Prefs.
I then went into Terminal and ran pmset displaysleep 30 and exited terminal.
Lastly, I went into System Prefs > Energy Saver and selected 3 minutes. Exited System Prefs and waited and lo and behold it worked. So I rebooted my system and then set the timer back to 30 mins and it has been working again so far.
I suspect that the pmset from terminal may have refreshed something in the prefs file someplace, but again it was just something in that string of things I did that worked. -

Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of '''about:home'''. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same. -
Just wondering what Apple's stand is on the issue with a flickering and a dark area appearing on imac 27"screen - forums seem to indicate this is not uncommon - and happens through normal use - so should be subject to repair (Sale of Goods Act - ie 6 year warranty)
We are just users like yourself. If Apple has stated publicly about the problems you mentioned, it will be listed on their website and/or in one of their Knowledge Base Articles.
I have a 27" & do not suffer from such a problem. You should keep in mind that these are technical support forums. Generally, the only people posting here are those with problems. The thousands/millions without problems don't ever come here.
Think of these forums as a hospital emergency room. -
Safari 4.0.3 will not open Wells Fargo Secure Site.
Safari 4.0.3 will open the main Wells Fargo Bank website just fine, but if I try to log in to get to the secure page with my account information, Safari gives me a "cannot find" error message. I telephoned Wells Fargo Online, and they said that sometimes Apple introduces a new OS or Safari which is incompatible with them. They suggested downloading FireFox, which I did, and it worked perfectly. So until Apple and/or Wells Fargo fixes this bug, Wells Fargo clients do have this FireFox workaround available.
At one particular web site ( a log on site for a library) Safari 4.0.3 the browser downloads the web page to download folder as "webquery-38.dll.html" When I click on it it either opens at another page of the library or as a text file. I have tried all the things mentioned with cache, resetting safari, and the security. This s the only site it comes from and the administrators of the site say it works with their Safari. They suggest using another browser. Any suggestions as it must be something with my computer/safari
